I was showing your tmnt iterations w the turtles its based on to my fam and was mentioning how ofc leo is a diamondback turtle cos it's blue and 1 of them said "and cos he's a pretty boy" and I lost my shit

Unforgotten Inktober - Fortune

Leo’s always been an honest child, so keeping their human friend a secret from Splinter didn’t last long after April lent them the huge fortune (in a child’s eyes) of forty bucks.

The first winter after Splinter became mutated and father of tiny turtle tots was a harsh one. The sewers were chill with a harsh frost, and he had little more than a blanket to keep warm.

Splinter never really allowed his kids to keep any actual pets….that is, until his newly-adopted son ran off and came home with a plump little kitty and smiled for the first time since joining their family.

….And then it turned out the cat, named Pepperoni, was pregnant & they ended up with more cats.
