interaction.

i. i interact with all mutuals. i will post prompts, starter calls, etc etc if you wish to interact. i reply very slowly, as i run my own roleplay server and i have mental issues(tm) and can run out of battery. ooc wise, feel free to talk to me and whatnot! i can just be a bit slow, my apologies. you don't need to match my length: just put in the same effort as i do.

ii. i can write dark themes such as horror, gore, violence, cannibalism, toxic relationships etc. obvs i dont do taboo shit like incest, pedophilia, etc. go away. i don't mind shipping but prefer to do it with close friends. while i am fine with fade to black and suggestive themes i do not write smut with anyone other than my boyfriend. this is non-negotiable.

iii. i block who i want. i don't want prosh*ppers anywhere here. ideologies such as transmeds and being anti-self dx are also not welcome, esp if youre white youre very funny. idc about rp drama just dont be weird don't bring me into it and as long as you're not fucked up i gen dc. i won't always be here... i am a tired something-woman. please respect that.

if i follow you, it means i want to interact with you, and i'd love to write with you! just please be patient with me. i study graphic design, but funnily enough im very tired of making tumblr gfx... not on anyone, just a preference! so i don't do heavy formatting or icons. if you write with me though, all i ask is to not make your text extremely small. i'm dyslexic, so it makes it very hard to read. thank you!

experience/how many years:  i've been roleplaying forever, tumblr since i was like ? twelve ? we won't talk about it. but i've been around awhile.

best experience: probably when i was frequently writing in the tma/penumbra/podcast fandom. i made a lot of friends and plotted a lot / idk, it was really comfortable and was a safe space, though my time writing beetlejuice was also really fun, it was the first time i ever made an rpc server and i learned a lot !  

rp pet peeves: replacing fcs for aesthetics / shipability - ie replacing fat or old actors ( especially older women ) with younger / more conventionally attractive actors OR using skinny faceclaims and then "body claims" for fat muses. ( i understand it's hard to find the perfect fc especially when fat actors / content for fat actors is hard to come by, but it feels bad to me as a fat person. ). the idea length of reply / speed of reply = effort / care. sometimes, words are hard, i'm dyslexic and work full time, we're here to have fun and personally i don't care if you match length. write what you can / what you feel.

plots or memes: both ! i love a good plot but i am very much the sort of person who likes to improvise a majority of the time, i like to go with the flow, though gerri is one of my more plot driven blogs due to the nature of the show, i'm just not very good at like . . . plotting. i'll just throw ideas at you and giggle. 

long or short replies: i personally write para / sometimes novella, especially with gerri, she has a lot of thoughts and emotions she doesn't actually display but i feel are important to understand what she means. a lot of the time what she's saying needs to be deconstructed, and there are multiple layers to it, which is hard to get across in shorter replies. though i'm not opposed to one-liners.

are you like your muses: some of them yes, most of them not so much. gerri is far more serious than i am, she's also more sure of herself and better at hiding her nerves / desire for acceptance, but we both crave that sort of acceptance, and for both of us a large obsticale in getting it is our perceived gender. i project a lot onto my muses which is something i'm aware of. ( i'm far more like connor in terms of personality, which uuh says something. ) . she's also sixty years old with a law degree and a job she's secure in making millions of dollars a year, while i'm just a goofy little guy.

All I want out of life is for him to be happy and have friends—real friends, who care about him and love him unconditionally and not just for how useful he can be for them.

But on the complete flip side, I also love taking the time to explore his tendency to revictimize himself and put himself in situations that he knows will suck because, again, he does feel like he deserves it.  It’s comfortable and ‘safe’ for him to be in those situations, and I feel like it’s a very important thing that a lot of abuse victims tend towards that doesn’t get talked about as often as it maybe should.  A lot of other stories centering around victims of abuse tend to be like… once they’re out, they’re out, and maybe their abuser comes back a couple times for the ~drama~, but they don’t purposefully seek comfort from new people who remind them of their past abusers.  Which is just... so very much something Gerry does, and I’m very glad that the horror/TMA rpc isn’t afraid to write characters who are total complete assholes so that I get a little bit of that, too.

i had this big post written out on my experience in the rpc and how it felt to come back after a long hiatus, and then i was like. perhaps i should keep it short. and i should. i am VERY enthusiastic to be here and am enjoying meeting new people! i love to talk about tma and plot! i worry a bit that, since tone is hard to convey over the internet, i come across as either saccharine or sarcastic, so this is me saying that i’m genuinely just happy being around! i also want people to know that, while i tend to reach out a lot - send asks, send ims, reply to posts - boundaries are essential! so 1) you’re not obligated to ever reply to anything i say, i have no expectations; and 2) if you just wanna chill and i’m talking too much, just let me know! i don’t take offense at stuff like that, because given the opportunity i will simply start talking and not stop.
