What if Annabelle Cane was interested in period accurate fashion, specifically 1800s-1900s ? What if Annabelle Cane had lots of spider jewellery. What then. This is a way I get to incorporate three of my biggest interests at the moment (Spiders, historical fashion, and TMA) and also still meet my project brief.

Obviously, criticizing Elias for being a capitalist and a corporate CEO is silly because he is neither of those things ('vibes' are not admissible in court) but there is a lot to be said about intellectual elitism and academic gatekeeping. About how this man knows exactly what is wrong with the world and priotises his own wellbeing over that of everyone else. Clearly he never took an ethics in industry class at university.

One of the things that really annoys me about people trying to say that 'dude' is gender neutral is that, no, actually, you don't get to just decide what connotations a word has, so when you try to say something like 'dude is gender neutral unless the person I'm using it to refer to disagrees', it's actually the opposite; 'dude' isn't gender neutral even if you think you use it like it is, and as such you shouldn't be using it for anyone and everyone, especially not trans women.
Like, the word 'dude' seemingly originated in the late 1800's in New York as slang that specifically referred to men; contrast 'girl', which is derived from the Old English word 'gyrle', which originated in the 1300's and referred to any young person regardless of gender. This means that, of the two, 'girl' has precedent for gender neutrality, and yet I'm supposed to believe that the word that originally specifically referred to men is the gender neutral one somehow and the one that didn't inherently account for gender isn't.
And this isn't even getting into how TMEs just love so fucking much to use 'dude' to refer to literally every trans woman/TMA they disagree with, and then turn around and wonder why transunity isn't a thing. Like, y'all ain't subtle.

Similarities between TMA and Good Omens
•British
•Plotheavy
•Gay
•Urban fantasy
•Mystery
•Very queer even before main couple gets together •Only one, very tragic kiss
•Said kiss in finale (also tragic)
•One kissing the other as a result of realizing they've slipped too far into a supernatural entity which intends to hurt humanity
•Themes of humanity and what it means to be human
•Themes of being stuck in an ‘Eat or be Eaten’-system
•London
•Armageddon– not
•Important, powerful old lady now dead– still influences plot
•Important, powerful woman named Agnes now dead
•Supernatural, powerful, slightly eldritch god-adjacent beings try to destroy humanity
•More queer couples than straight ones
•Main pairing consists of one sharp, lanky and thin one, and one soft-looking bigger guy
•Soft-looking one is lonely/isolated
•One of main characters evilish
•Main characters commonly headcanoned as neurodivergent
•Tragic end (for now)
•Main characters are supernatural
•Trauma
•So much pining
•“Run away with me” “I can't”
•Lanky one wanting to run away
•Soft-looking one declines
•Different evils initially appearing as fundamentally opposed but ultimately being pretty much the same
•Chronic hiatusbrain in fandoms
•Sideships get happy ending but main one doesn't (yet)
•Personified war
•Personified death
•Personified disasters
•Character infested with and controls some kind of insect
•More than one rid pulled out of character by another in order for them to bring back friends/loved ones
•(Voice)Actors related (specifically father-son)
•Fire Extinguishers
•Important still alive character also alive during 1800's
•Important magicalish book
•Characters blows themselves up as revenge, taking out their would-be murderers with them

beware of any tma episodes that take place in the 1800s and start with some guy saying "apologies jonah, i'm breaking up with you because i'm fairly sure you're evil. anyway here's a horrific story that will be thematically relevant later"

can i please maybe hear about the tma x hatchetfield au,,,,,,,,,,,,,
A lot of my thought are incoherent, but here's the basic gist:
The Coven Institute was founded by Charles Coven back in the 1800s, and since then has followed pretty much the same path as TMA up until the present day. The current Head is a man named Mr. Barker, his predecessor being one Ken Davidson. Bill Woodward (preceeded by John MacNamara) is the current Head Archivist. His assistants are Paul Matthews, Charlotte Sweetly, and Ted Spankoffski.
It's not an exact 1 to 1 character swap, but there are comparisons.
Charlotte is closest to Sasha, Paul is closest to Tim, and Ted is closest to Helen.
There are others, like Eddie Chiplucky, who is a business partner to Mr. Barker much in the same way that Peter Lukas is to Elias. Tinky and Michael, Wiley and Maxwell Rayner, Ms. Holloway and Annabelle Cane, etc. There are way too many characters for me to list out here, and not all of them have comparisons.
Some things from TMA canon happpen, like the NotThem, The Unknowing, and the Distortion's transformation. Things from Hatchetfield happen too, like the events of Black Friday.
It's started out as an excuse to draw Hatchetfield characters in the world of TMA, but now I have to think about the implications.
