Two thousand years after the Mass Exodus, it is up for hot debate among the scholars and historians in the academic institutions of the City States whether all the Imperial Houses survived. For the person who can prove their location, honor and glory shall be their prize.

Necromancy is on the wane. Harrowhark Nonagesimus theorizes that there are missing pieces of the puzzle out there to be found. When a fellow scholar, Palamedes over hears a rumor about strange occurrences out in the Yurridian Desert, the opportunity to investigate is too good to pass up.

In the bustling port town of Capri, a rumor like that never stays contained for very long, and soon they find themselves in a race of horse and hounds with the Tridentarii to lay claim to what ever might be hidden beneath the grey sands of the Ash Scattered Dunes.

Only problem, they are forced to rely upon a rough neck cav cropper with a personality problem and biceps that ought to be illegal. @tlt-holiday-exchange

Out of the blue, Harrowhark has been promoted to Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute. Suddenly she has to deal with a league of ridiculous problems, including the absolute mess left behind by her predecessor, the fact that said predecessor has gone missing, and whether or not her boss John Gaius murdered that predecessor. Not to mention the fact that Harrow has absolutely no idea where to start, and one particularly unhelpful assistant isn't making matters easier. Oh, and there's also creepy paranormal events happening all around! Harrow is sure she can make it through all of this without getting in too deep... at least that's what she tells herself. A.K.A. The Magnus Archives/Locked Tomb fic I wrote because I'm completely fixated on both of them for now. Ongoing, I will try my absolute best to finish the story but we'll see how it goes! (Work Title from Scary Movie by Lala Lala)

I made an ao3 account just to post this fic. It's also for TLT AUgust which I found out about after starting it but anyway! I'm having a lot of fun writing this and I hope I finish it eventually.

TLT BRE Cosplay Progress Thread!

Between working Summer Stock I've also been helping organize and participating in the @tlt-big-resurrection event! One of my favorite things about this event is it includes cosplayers! When I was browsing fic summaries to find what I wanted to do I came across @incorrect-house-of-nine 's fic. Title pending but its a steam/chem/desert punk Locked tomb AU Mummyesque/Indiana Jones type adventure. (Yes I stole that description straight from them kfjjlasdjfsdf) It's been a blast learning about their amazing world building for it and I've REALLY enjoyed reading it as it unfold. Y'all are in for a treat. This is for Gideon's outfit so far. I ended up having to draft the harness thing from scratch after trying to alter patterns (just worked better) and I still gotta add the hood and strap and stuff. It's great to finally see it all coming together finally. I'll be making Gideon and Harrow for this event (and probably doing more after when I have more time/better locations/can maybe drag friends into this dfafd) Photos are: my progress, the inspiration, and a super quick sketch to get an idea of the pieces together for my own brain.

But when a car accident leaves Gideon without any memories of her past, Harrow sees a chance at the clean slate she’s wanted for years. Becoming involved in Gideon’s recovery assuages some of the guilt, but as she and Gideon become closer and increasingly involved in each other's lives, Harrow worries that some of her secrets may be more than she can atone for.

So long as fics are first published during August 2023, considered an Alternate Universe, and written for The Locked Tomb Series, then they can be added to the collection.

If you have a multi-chapter fic, the fic does not have to be completed during August. It just has to be first published in August. So if all you got is chapter 1 and chapter 2 is still in the works, that's totally fine!
