i think the only reason RSL exists is probably to capitalize on the popularity of x-men ’97, but i’m enjoying it nonetheless (as someone who doesn’t really have a ship preference for rogue, anyway—i’ve liked her stuff with gambit, magneto, and deadpool pretty much equally). i’m way more suspicious of lilandra’s resurrection being used to block cherik since that takes place in the present day.

this isn’t an invitation for lilandra hate, tho! love her and i enjoy she and charles together since she’s easily his least toxic romantic relationship. i just find the timing suspicious, like you.

i remember when the run was initially announced that's what i saw some people suspect too, but if it's a good story then i can't be too mad with the result right....

so true about lilandra tho: i at least understand her role in 97 since it's picking up after 92 and that's where 92 leaves off, but bringing her back for manhunt...... my tinfoil hat's vibrating....
