#tl;dr ur all smart and have opened my eyes to the potential of The Bad Room being used as his hiding spot

ppl are saying "the Real hiding spot is the Bad Room!" and i hear you- so lemme explain, my original reason for leaving that option out was because i assumed "well that is his Safe space where he goes to be alone... he would not clutter it with corpses..." but after reading thru ur guys' comments im being Swayed towards the Bad Room being his main storage location...

like imagine a scene, the context being charlie is becoming more and more on edge and irritable and the gang has no idea WHY (its cuz his one safe space is filled with corpses so he cant use that room anymore to decompress and that's bothering him cuz he has nowhere to release his anger by bashing bottles so he's got all this pent up energy he hasnt let out bc he cant go up there anymore cuz itd be incriminating obviously) but all they do know (idea of @sewerkingcharlie) is that the SMELL is becoming unbearable.

So they tell Charlie to go do his Charlie Work and take care of it, automatically assuming it's a bunch of dead rats or the rotted corpses of raccoons from the ones he'd tanned in the basement of the bar. But Charlie knows that getting rid of the rats and raccoons won't make the smell go away... if anything, he's been using THOSE other smells to cover the smell of the dead bodies above them.

So Charlie tries to clear the gang out of the bar while he goes up there but they just sneak back in cuz they think charlie kicking them out to deal with a couple rats and raccoon carcasses is ridiculous .... but then when charlie is in the badroom and thinks hes alone, he's trying to move the bodies around so he can figure out what to do with them, cuz it's no longer safe to keep them in paddy's. but the pressure on the old, water-damaged wood becomes to much and the ceiling gives in and then bam. charlie is back on the bar floor, but he's sitting atop a pile of corpses and the gang are all just kinda stood there staring at him .... would be a HELL of a cold open
