Okay so axel is still the miner right? Because I like the idea of a rich white 'kid' (aka grown ass man) copying a killer who was a working class man getting revenge against the upper class

But instead of axel being motivated by trauma he's motivated by TJ (who is no longer the owner of the mine's son or the mayor's son btw he's the son of one of the miners who died in the mine disaster) 'stealing' Sarah away from him

Basically I like the idea of Axel escalating from killing sex workers who remind him of Sarah to killing friends and townies who agree with TJ to attempting to kill TJ and Sarah in the mines

Obsessed with how the og my bloody valentine's harry warden was motivated by righteous fury at his superiors who failed him while the remake's harry warden was motivated by selfish self-preservation

#random thoughts #my bloody valentine #axel is still the son of one of the managers of the mine #because i like the idea of axel being one of those guys who never really had to face systemic injustice #and has never had anything bad happen to him in his life #because like yeah his dad died but most people agree that was a bad thing and the killer was arrested #tj meanwhile had to watch his dad's killers walk free for a year until harry warden killed them #who was at fault for the mine collapse is a matter hotly contested #sarah is like #okay so you know how the housewife was what led to many 'great' men in history getting as much work done as they did #axel wants sarah to be his housewife #he objectifies her and doesn't really pay attention to her desires #so when tj comes back to town axel's like 'oh but im such a nice guy how could i possibly compare to this gigachad'#tj pays attention to sarah. he respects her boundaries and pays attention to her interests #and tj awakens a part of sarah which has lain dormant for much of her late teens and early adulthood #she wants to leave town!!! she hates it here!!!#so axel basically sees sarah as like. an innocent child gone astray #and tj as a corrupting force
