     One could argue that there were people who actively tried to change their lives, that they sought such things, but she had a point CJ couldn’t deny. She certainly hadn’t asked to be lied to her entire life, to learn about the truth of her father as she had. It had changed her life in every single way and she couldn’t hold back her bitterness toward everyone who’d been in on the secret.

     Gods, sometimes it just… well up inside her until she thought she’d explode from it.

     Instead, she just had another drink and pushed it all back down. 

     “Yeah,” she agreed, deciding she’d rather not delve into further detail, but her tone remained sullen. “Change—the spice of life, whether we like it or not.”
