he did everything for us. and i ignored him.

but he hurt me. he’s been hurting me for over 5 years now.

…but he loves me. he’s just tough on me. he just wants me to be responsible and kind. he’s gotten better. that’s what he told me, and i almost believe him.

i’ve been unfair. i need to give him a chance. he loves me, and i need to learn to love him too. that’s what she told me, and i almost believe her.

he won’t do anything else for me until i fix my attitude and be more kind to him. and i almost feel like i should.

i feel horrible now.

am i that bad of a person?

do i really need to change?

or is he just guilt tripping me?

and if he is, should i just pretend to care? just so i can get those benefits back?

it seems so horrible, but what else could i do?
