Capturing the real image - Our Editing options

Any Camera Captures the moment whether it be posed or natural , Every image captures the smallest details whether you want it to or not & A Photo Session can only capture the moments that happen .... It can't create these. I am going to go though some examples to show you different reasons and options we have when editing your images.

From the 1st April , All of our sessions will receive a questionnaire and on here it will ask you the options regarding how much you would like your images to be edited. We currently base ourselves to have a natural editing style but giving a smooth appearance rather than ‘Faked’ Skin. 

A Natural image will clearly show everything that can appear on the skin , Milk Spots , Spots , Scratches and stalk marks. These are all part of the person having the photograph taken at that point , These can be left completely natural or be given a smoothed edit. This will lightly show the details of the skin but give them a less defined look.

A complete edited skin would give flawless look to your images, definition is still kept but a smooth appearance is given across the skin of the person.

This is something that will be a personal choice and we will happily review your requests and complete this where is possible. It is something we need to bare in mind that technology is amazing to do things ... But cannot do everything, even as much as i wish it could.

Advanced Editing-

Advanced editing is when we purposely take a image a certain way knowing advanced editing will be needed to complete the image. This includes removal of supporting hands , background extending and head swapping (When we advise this).

Supporting hands are used mostly in newborn sessions to create a beautiful posed image of a newborn but with safety in mind. If we feel baby isn't going to do a pose, we won’t attempt it. Background extensions are done if we can't get the image to fit perfectly in the area we are photographing in , or if we feel we want more space or light into the area. The Background is photoshopped to fill in the areas around this.

Head swapping is done in a group image , When one individual isn't looking the right way. We will let you know if we feel this is needed or this option is available to add if you would like. Sometimes the whole individual is changed.

Safe Sibling Images

Sibling images are a important part of a family gallery , A image most parents wish to capture. Siblings come in all ages , strengths and sizes and depending on these will depend on the sibling image i choose to do for your session.With Younger children (Under 3s usually) I do a laying down image so the younger child isn't expected to hold the baby. Babies are heavy for young child and doesn't create a neat final image. If the younger child is still unsure of being around the new baby , which does happen often , I choose to create a image for you . This will be made up of two images to create one perfect image. This means I can give my attention to the sibling keeping babies safety at all times.

O negócio dela já tem sete anos de mercado e nesse tempo ela já clicou inúmeras famílias, bebês e crianças. Basicamente o que Hollie faz é oferecer aos clientes o serviço de edição criativa das fotografias dos próprios clientes para gerar uma imagem nova. A fotógrafa cria retratos novos com ideias que surgem tanto conversando com as famílias como o próprio toque artístico dela. Tudo é feito no Photoshop e claro com a matéria-prima da foto original.

Sem limite geográfico – Trata-se de uma variação do ensaio remoto, já que os clientes criam as fotos em casa, mas a fotógrafa faz efeitos, muda o cenário, etc. Tudo para atender clientes que não podem ou não se sentem confortáveis indo em um estúdio ou saindo para clicar as crianças. como referência, Hollie surge que as pessoas visitem seu site e tentem seguir o padrão visual do que ela faz em termos de pose, etc. Se deu certo? até aqui ela já fez 1750 edições desse tipo. isso só nas últimas cinco semanas cobrando 15 libras por foto editada. My Style of Newborn : A Snuggled Swaddle

Every Photographer has their style .... There ways they like to do things and The ways they work to create a successful photo session with a beautiful gallery to present to their client.

The Newborn session we offer at Tiny Feet Photography By Hollie is a 2 hour session in which we use the time to create a range of beautiful Newborn images for you to treasure as your newborn grows. 

Some babies are very alert, some are very sleepy, This is something I work with depending on how you newborn seams to be on arrival. Some babies do fall asleep , some like to stay awake and watch the whole session for themselves. Both bring beautiful unique images.

When you arrive at the Tiny Feet Photography By Hollie studio I will get you to undress your baby down to their nappy. I do leave Nappies on all babies and use wraps and props in different styles to cover this.

This baby is in a full wrap, I usually start of with this wrap whether baby is awake or sleeping just to get them settled in , especially if we have upset them by taking them down to the nappy. Certain props also require this wrap for safety reasons. It gives a lovely secure and neat look to a image rather than babies arms flying around especially jumping reflexes which can startle them and make them cry. 

This wrap can be done until around 6 weeks old , Meaning a wider range of props can still be used even though after 28 days old we no longer pose babies due to their strong muscle reflexes. Swaddling is also great to help with Wind and constipation ... We aways expect some little surprises .

When you can’t see a wrap ? Is baby still wrapped ? 

The answer is Yes! Even in props I ensure baby still feels very safe and secure by swaddling their legs but bringing their arms out. This does depend on how babies are behaving. If baby is very sleepy and I feel this won't disturb baby I do this ,with a baby that is wide awake it is very unlikely they will be happy to be posed so we would work on creatively placing them into different props. Sleeping baby poses are a lot more successful when a Full wrap is slowly removed from them , keeping them beautifully settled.

Wraps are used very differently with each baby with each image we are trying to create. I do not photograph the ‘Naked’ baby within my Newborn sessions any longer as it isn't natural for a baby to feel so free and exposed to air heats (Even though the studio is very warm). They Loved to be snuggled and safe which is what I have found as my style to creating the images you love.

Using wraps in older baby session -

As I am happy to swaddle babies up until around 6 weeks old as the foetal position is still natural, I can use wraps in other ways after this time. We use them to create a wider range of colour and use more accessories than one outfit would give. Its a much happier and easier experience than changing babies clothes during the session and/or having branded nappies on show in images.
