I know I’m making a lot of boring ‘I’m currently watching’ posts but I can’t help it- those dramas are something else.

I’m 8 minutes 55 seconds into first episode of Laws of Attraction and I’m like

- ok so an ASSHOLE who make a murderer goes free by cheating in court is our main lead

- OMG and grandma is dead

- poor grandma

- poor dude who kicks other dude into next life 30 seconds earlier

- no wait

- ok, so they apparently learn how to plan a party in Tan from Manners of death school of throwing events

Already I feel I’m in for a ride

Charn is a clever and ruthless lawyer inclined to accept high-paying and high-profile cases that will bring him renown. On one occasion, he's taken off a case as it's gaining widespread interest. Having lost face and opportunity, he's suspisious of the reason for his removal and wants to get his revenge. He suspects he can find something hidden within the case for his own profit. Charn therefore decides to switch sides to Tinn, the uncle of Tonkhao, a young girl who was struck and killed by a car and failed to recieve justice. The two come together to search for the truth.

Despite holding opposing views, their closeness brings about new feelings. As their work becomes more and more dangerous, the two become certain that this case is not at all ordinary.

Meh

There's a lot about Laws of Attraction that I enjoyed but in the grand scheme of things, this was a rather boring show. It was one storyline dragged into 8 long episodes and honestly, that's just unjustifiable.

Firstly, the storyline was nothing fantastic. Let's all be honest, did anyone think it wasn't the politician who was the crooked one through all 8 episodes? The only thing about the plot I was not expecting was that I thought the main villain of the show was also the cause of Charn's mother's death. Other than that, this was a boring drama.

Next, the roles portrayed in the show. No development or whatsoever. It wasn't even a surprise Charn was betrayed by his right hand man. That man was already icky right from his first appearance.

Apart from the handful of scenes where it was comic relief, Laws of Attraction was rather mundane. The acting's okay, not impressive but not horrible either.

All in all, Laws of Attraction is a very average show. The only reason I liked it a tad more than if it was a heteronormative show was because Charn and Tinn were the main couple. Otherwise, I probably would not even start the show in the first place.

Jam is great. I'll never get tired of praising his natural, simple, sincere manner of acting. And naturalness, simplicity and sincerity altogether make NOBLENESS. (Such manner is really not common to find and see in Thai drama world🙂. I dare to guess much more experienced elder actors can act like that🤔😁).

Just finished that bad boy!

I have a very mixed feelings.

I just LOVE the plot, love main leads (sorry Charn for calling you asshole and douche bag, but you kinda sorta WAS).

On the other hand, and it’s just subjective preference, I like characters to… Interact more physically? I just feel like physical touch is reassuring your partner about your feelings (I know it’s unhealthy to feel that way, but here I am). They barely kiss so I just feel like they are quite good friends almost all the episodes. Even on their wedding grandma got us a kiss from them (go grandma!). Kisses on the cheeks and all of that, it makes me uneasy.
