"Swifties, the plot has just thickened. I have just stumbled upon even more lore about The Starting Line. Yes, The Starting Line that Taylor Swift references in both 'The Black Dog' and 'Fresh Out the Slammer'. So this is playlist on Spotify that I listen to so much. Taylor Swift's iPod When She Was 18 by Brian Mansfield. Brian Mansfield is a journalist who used to work at USA Today and in 2008, Fearless Era, he interviewed Taylor Swift and he talked her into letting her export all the data from her iPod onto like a thumb drive. It shows all the songs she had when she got them, how many times she listened to them, how many times she skipped them, everything. In his article for USA Today they made a spreadsheet of the song she played the most. Then Mr. Brian made this playlist, I'm presuming in the order of like, most played to least played. Whenever I like, don't know what to listen to, I always listen to this playlist. I just put it on shuffle because it'll literally go from like country Americana to like, rap to like, rock to like, punk to like, Maroon 5. Taylor Swift genuinely listens to everything and anything. I also really enjoy this because I am the biggest Brandy Carlisle fan and there is a lot of Brandy Carlisle on here. Taylor Swift as an 18 year old was a ginormous Brandy Carlisle fan. I know that's right. But, getting to the lore… Do we see what song is right here? 'The Best of Me' by The Starting Line. The second song on the playlist is 'The Best of Me' by The Starting Line. Like The Starting Line in 'The Black Dog', where she says 'when someone plays The Starting Line and you jump up, but she's too young to know the song that was intertwined in the magic fabric of our dreaming'. 'Fresh Out the Slammer', where she says 'now we're at The Starting Line'. Like this has been on her playlist since she was 18! This is feeding into the idea in my head that Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are twin flames, because he also loves The Starting Line. And Matty Healy covered 'The Best of Me' by The Starting Line at The 1975's May 3rd show. And that May 3rd show in Manila is literally going to go down in history, because that's the show where Matty did the, 'this is about you, you know who you are. I love you' during About You to Taylor Swift. The same show where he covers 'The Best of Me' by The Starting Line. 'The Best of Me' by The Starting Line is literally on Taylor's playlist from 2008. I definitely did stumble upon this today because I had this on shuffle and then 'The Best of Me' came on. I was like, what the heck? Then I go click into the playlist, it's literally the second song, so I just felt like sharing that."
TikToker Alyssa Yung explains the lore behind Taylor's long-standing appreciation for 'The Best of Me' by The Starting Line and its connections to Matty. (source)

The Bejeweled Elevator is The Eras Tour
Simply put, the Bejeweled Elevator depicts the timeline of the Eras Tour and the remaining re-records! Let's get into it!
(Quick note: more pictures & links to come, this is just taking forever and I needed to get it posted before we're too far into the London shows! I've had this theory brewing since October 2023 and I'll be damned if y'all don't get to read it before it all comes to fruition.)
The Basement
The Basement is the period of time between folklore and evermore's surprise releases and the start of The Eras Tour. It begins with a shot of the golden "invisible" string that leads Taylor through the cardigan and willow music videos. We see Taylor scrubbing away at her step-sister's mess, dutifully fulfilling her role as the tired, tacky, exiled wench. Step-Mommy, Alana, Este, and Danielle seem to have taken Taylor in after a falling out with Prince Jack (oh, what a marvelous gift, for which Taylor should be most grateful). They delight in her position as their servant girl and assert their dominance over her, forbidding her from attending the grand ball. Taylor is being locked in the basement and forced to work for people who already live in excess. She clearly resents her step-family and Prince Jack, whose portrait depicts him with her cats, which represent her catalogue of original recordings.
Taylor has been working away on her own project while her controllers are not around, biding her time until exile ends and she can escape (fresh out the slammer, anyone?). With contempt in her eyes and vengeance in her heart, she meticulously sews beads onto the hooded cloak she wore to remain anonymous during the willow music video. A pocket watch appears out of thin air and tells her that her time in exile has finally ended, and she immediately begins her journey back to the penthouse to reclaim the land that was stolen from her.
The Elevator
Briefly, here is my concrete evidence that the Eras Tour is the Bejeweled Elevator.
The Capitol One Eras Commercial that released on the day the Eras Tour was announced depicts all the eras of Taylor gathered in a golden elevator.
The Eras Tour is full of visual transitions called an "elevator cut" where the screen splits in half vertically and slides open, just like elevator doors. I'd bet anything that our film director mastermind knows what that cut is called and that she has full creative license for everything Eras. None of it is accidental! (Twitter Thread here!) The same elevator cuts are used in several lyric videos, most significantly (imo) is Change.
The Eras Tour "takes us on a journey through 18 years of music," just as the Bejeweled Elevator takes Taylor on a journey through her musical career from basement to penthouse.
The Third Floor: Speak Now (Taylor's Version)
In the elevator, Taylor ascends to Floor 3. This represents the spring/summer 2023 U.S. Leg of the Eras Tour, during which she announced and released Speak Now (Taylor's Version). This time period was when Taylor started doing tons of pap walks again and was seen regularly in the public eye. She regained her sparkle, so to speak, and let herself shine in the spotlight. The media became supersaturated with Taylor Swift content - her scandal with Matty Healy & Ice Spice, her frequent public appearances, and the unbelievable success of the Eras Tour. On the 3rd floor, we see her depict exactly this - she struts a runway of dazzling gems, sheds her cloak, and leaves covered in brilliant jewels. You couldn't overlook Taylor Swift if you tried. This level of blossoming stardom and interest in her day-to-day life is reminiscent of the original Speak Now era.
She leaves this floor fully bedazzled, just as she left the August 9th show in Los Angeles in her sparkling purple shirt dress, glass of white wine in hand, formally entering the 1989 (Taylor's Version) Era.
The Fifth Floor: 1989 (Taylor's Version)
Next, Taylor ascends to Floor 5. This represents the Fall 2023 LatAm leg and Spring 2024 Oceania & Tokyo leg of the Eras Tour, during which she released 1989 (Taylor's Version). On the 5th floor, Taylor uses her sexuality to entertain alongside her dark haired twin, Dita Von Teese. This time period was marked by the frenzied consumption of Taylor's newest public relation(ship) strategy. Just like in the martini glasses on the 5th floor, Taylor learns how to embrace her dark side and uses her sexuality and alcohol to entertain a ravenous crowd. We met Vamplor and WAG Taylor on our TV screens as she cheered, brought record viewership, record jersey sales, and a whole new demographic of fans to the NFL. Her social and dating life was the subject of every. single. media outlet. Just as it was during the original 1989 era - every detail of her life was curated for our consumption.
The Thirteenth Floor: THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT
We arrive at The Penthouse, where the Queen's Ball is being held! Taylor puts on the performance of a lifetime for the Queen, using the lessons she learned on the Third and Fifth Floor to wow the royal judges. She sparkles, dazzles, and shines; she leans into the fun of entertaining and shows everyone how talented of a performer she truly is.
This penthouse performance for the monarchy represents the European Leg of The Eras Tour and the release of THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. The brand new TTPD set on the Eras Tour directly mimics the choreography in the music video.
Examples: The feathered fans surrounding Taylor. The two piece set in ICDIWABH. Lifted overhead. Stage & curtains background.
This leads me to make a few predictions regarding timeline and events for the rest of the tour.
The Kingdom Key and the Proposal
Needless to say, I believe the European Leg of the Eras Tour has more to surprise us with. Taylor is about to impress the Queen in London with this performance and she wins the ball! As winner, she's awarded the title of Queen, a proposal from the Prince, and most importantly to Taylor, the key to her castle.
Prince Jack is forced to propose to Housewench Taylor. This happens in front of a staged archway with tons of paparazzi snapping photos of their every move. Being awarded the key and the proposal are still part of the performance event of the 13th Floor. As soon as Taylor fulfills the requirements: perform, pose, and smile, she vanishes.
The Ghosting: reputation (Taylor's Version)
There will be no explanation. There will just be reputation.
reputation (Taylor's Version) will be announced on the last night of the London show run, accompanied by a shocking break up announcement that fuels the media's relentless speculation on her personal life.
The Castle: Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)
Taylor stands on the balcony of her castle, surveying her land. This is the same castle that she moved into during reputation era, as depicted in LWYMMD. She's wearing TS hairclips, and has returned home. This scene represents the US Eras Tour Leg Part II, and the announcement and release of Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version). It's nearly dawn, and there is a Full Blood Moon above the castle. Interestingly enough, the October full moon is often called a Blood Moon, and the full moon this October is the day before Miami N1 (October 18th). I've been theorizing that Miami, Florida!!! is her real home for a long time, and TTPD sure did confirm that.
The Dragons: Karma
The final scene of Bejeweled is a wide shot of Taylor's Castle, where we can see three dragons setting the castle aflame. This is Karma - karma is a fire in your house. I'm not sure exactly what form Karma will manifest itself in, whether that's the missing TS6 album, a record label, exposing the industry for how abusive it is, coming out, or something else entirely. But, in the words of our mastermind, Karma is real.

Fresh out the slammer
Sebastian Sallow x reader
Summary : In a haunting farewell under the cold night sky of Feldcroft, you leave Sebastian behind, grappling with the pain of loss and the desperate need to find yourself amidst the shadows of a once-bright future together.
Word count : 1.6k
Notes : Since y'all like the gut-wrenchingly sad ones 😼 here's one loosely inspired by the song "Fresh out the slammer" by Taylor Swift! In this story, you're living at the cottage in Feldcroft a few years after the original timeline, and Sebastian turned to the dark arts for good.
Read my disclaimer and fair use notice here
The night air in Feldcroft is cold, biting through your cloak as you stand on the hill overlooking the village. The memories here are thick—woven into the stones, the trees, the very ground beneath your feet. It’s where you and Sebastian once dreamed of a future, where he clung to the hope of saving his sister, where you both began to spiral into a darkness neither of you could have foreseen.
You trace the lines of your wand, the familiar grooves offering little comfort. This place, this moment, is suffocating in its finality. You know what you have to do, even if it tears you apart.
The door to the small cottage creaks open, and there he is, standing in the threshold. The sight of him hits you like a curse to the chest—his face drawn and worn, eyes searching yours for an answer you can’t give. You can see the remnants of the boy you fell in love with, the fierce determination that always made him seem invincible. But the years have chipped away at him, and the man standing before you now is a shadow of that boy, marred by loss and the pursuit of power.
“You’re leaving, aren’t you?” His voice is rough, barely more than a whisper, but it cuts through the silence like a dagger.
You nod, swallowing the lump in your throat. The words you practiced, the explanations you rehearsed, all crumble into dust in the face of his pain. “I have to, Sebastian. I can’t stay here anymore. It’s…it’s killing me.”
His hand tightens on the doorframe, knuckles white. “We can fix this. Whatever it is, we can fix it. You don’t have to go.”
You want to believe him, you want to fall into his arms and let him convince you that everything will be okay. But you’ve tried that before. You’ve tried to heal the wounds with whispered promises and desperate kisses. And each time, the darkness only crept in deeper.
“It’s not something that can be fixed, Sebastian. Not with spells, not with time. We’re…we’re broken. And I think we’ve been broken for a long time.”
He steps closer, his eyes pleading. “I can change. Whatever you need me to do, I’ll do it. Just…don’t leave me. Not now.”
The ache in your chest intensifies, and you take a step back, needing the distance as much as you hate it. “It’s not about you changing, Sebastian. It’s about me. I’ve lost myself in all of this—in you, in trying to save you, in trying to save us. I don’t even know who I am anymore.”
“Then let me help you find yourself,” he begs, voice cracking with desperation. “Don’t go through this alone. Don’t leave me alone.”
Tears well up in your eyes, and you blink them away, refusing to let them fall. “I can’t stay, Sebastian. Every time I look at you, I see everything we’ve lost. Everything I’ve lost. And I can’t keep doing this to myself.”
The silence between you is heavy, laden with everything unsaid. You can see the walls he’s tried to build around himself crumbling, the vulnerability he’s kept hidden for so long laid bare. “Please,” he whispers, his voice breaking. “I need you.”
You close your eyes, fighting the urge to run to him, to hold him and let him hold you back. But you know that if you do, you’ll never leave, and you’ll both be trapped in this endless cycle of hurt and hope.
“I’m sorry,” you say, the words nearly choking you as they leave your lips. “But I can’t do this anymore. I have to go.”
He doesn’t move, doesn’t try to stop you as you turn away, but you can feel his eyes on you, burning with everything he wishes he could say, everything you wish you could hear. The pain is a physical thing, tearing through you with each step you take away from him.
As you reach the edge of the village, you pause, looking back one last time. He’s still there, a solitary figure in the doorway, the light from the cottage casting long shadows around him. For a moment, you think he might come after you, that he might say something that will make you turn back. But he doesn’t. And you don’t.
The path ahead is dark, uncertain, but you force yourself to take that first step, then another, until the village is behind you, until the memories begin to fade with the distance. You know that this isn’t the end of your story—only the end of this chapter. But that doesn’t make it any less painful.
As the tears finally fall, you let yourself mourn what you’ve lost, what you’ve had to leave behind. Because in the end, you realize, it was never about leaving Sebastian. It was about finding yourself. And that, you hope, will be worth the pain.
•••••••
The fire in the hearth is dying, the last embers casting a dim, flickering light around the room. Sebastian sits in the armchair by the window, staring out at the darkness beyond. The night outside is still, suffocating in its quiet, as if the world itself is holding its breath. But inside, the storm rages, tearing through him with a ferocity that leaves him trembling.
He hears the door close again in his mind, the finality of that sound echoing like a death knell. You’re gone. You walked away, and he did nothing to stop you. The memory of your retreating figure is burned into his mind, every detail sharp and clear. The way your shoulders had slumped as if the weight of everything was too much to bear. The look in your eyes when you told him you couldn’t stay—the heartbreak, the resignation, the sorrow. He felt it all then, and he feels it now, a gaping wound that refuses to heal.
He had tried to sleep, tried to close his eyes and block out the reality of what had happened, but sleep eluded him. The bed, once a place of comfort, now felt like a tomb, cold and empty without you beside him. Each creak of the floorboards, each whisper of the wind against the window, was a reminder of your absence. The silence was unbearable, a suffocating weight that pressed down on him, squeezing the air from his lungs.
Finally, exhaustion overtakes him, and he drifts into a restless sleep, only to be torn from it hours later, his heart racing, drenched in sweat. For a moment, he’s disoriented, the remnants of his dream clinging to him like a fog. In the dream, you were still there, standing in the doorway, smiling at him, everything the way it used to be. But as the haze lifts, reality crashes down, brutal and unrelenting.
You’re gone. The bed is empty.
Panic grips him, and before he can stop himself, he’s out of bed, feet hitting the cold floor, heart pounding in his chest. He stumbles through the darkness, eyes wide, searching—desperate to find you, to prove to himself that it was just a nightmare, that you didn’t really leave. His breath comes in ragged gasps as he flings open doors, calling your name, his voice echoing through the empty cottage.
But you’re not there.
“Where are you?” he mutters, half-delusional, running a hand through his disheveled hair. “You wouldn’t leave me…you wouldn’t…you promised…”
He moves through the rooms, frantic now, convinced that if he just looks hard enough, he’ll find you, hiding somewhere, waiting for him. He calls your name again, louder this time, the sound hoarse, desperate. But the only response is the wind outside, howling like a ghost through the cracks in the walls.
He stumbles into the living room, collapsing to his knees in front of the cold fireplace. His hands tremble as he reaches out, as if trying to grasp something that isn’t there. The realization finally hits him, like a physical blow—this is real. You’re not coming back.
The sob that escapes him is raw, tearing through him as he doubles over, clutching at his chest as if he can physically hold himself together. “I’m sorry,” he whispers, the words choked out through the tears that he can no longer hold back. “I’m so sorry… Please come back…”
But the night offers no solace, no comfort. The darkness is relentless, pressing in on him from all sides, suffocating in its intensity. He feels like he’s drowning, pulled under by a tidal wave of grief and regret. His mind races, replaying every moment, every mistake, every word he wishes he could take back. But it’s too late. You’re gone.
In his delusion, he starts to believe that if he can just make it to the door, if he can just reach out, you’ll be there, waiting for him like you always were. He stumbles to his feet, lurching toward the door, his vision blurred by tears. His hand grips the handle, pulling it open with a force that nearly wrenches it off its hinges.
But the night outside is empty.
“Please,” he whispers into the void, his voice breaking, the last remnants of hope shattering as he stares into the darkness. “Please… I can’t do this without you…”
He collapses against the doorframe, sliding down to the ground, his body wracked with sobs. The cold night air rushes in, chilling him to the bone, but he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about anything anymore. The only thing that mattered was you, and now you’re gone, leaving him hollow, a shell of the person he once was.
As the hours drag on, he’s left alone in the cold, clutching at the empty space where you once stood, haunted by the echo of your departure. And in the silence, the only sound is his broken whisper, repeating your name like a prayer, begging for a miracle that will never come.

I think there are fewer songs about Joe in this album because we don't get the real truth about the breakup which is probably Taylor ended a 7 year relationship with Joe when they were both on different continents in the middle of the tour (probably over phone/ email) to later pursue a man who brought her backlash and then ended up ghosting her ! She says in the prologue about her breakup with Joe "And I tore the whole sky down with one conversation" Jack releasing the date of You're Losing Me as written in 2021 has made Swifties think they broke up long back which we know is not true. They had rough patches but they were together till February (Fortnight song says my days are all stuck on Mondays in February ) There's also an exact fortnight between when they could have broken up during tour (around Vegas but before iHeart awards when she was looking down and Arlington when Invisible String disappeared from the setlist ) and the announcement on April 8.
I think Taylor expected Joe to apologise and show up because she kept going on in the Betty speeches about how James had to apologise and show up to the party. And then when he did not she went straight to Matty. It is sad on one hand to think these two people probably never got to say goodbye in person after everything they shared.
I agree with the timeline. but the question is why was she waiting for an apology from joe? what was his fault? she is the one who had one foot already out of that relationship. she is the one who was emotionally cheating. and *checks notes* she's the one who tore down the whole sky with one conversation. so what was joe supposed to be sorry for? and she didn’t wait for him no. in fresh out the slammer she admits going straight to matty once their relationship was over! so it's insane how she made people believe that he did something wrong with her betty speech and that he needs to apologize. no he doesn’t. YOU need to apologize taylor

Cartier Necklace
Taylor was first seen wearing a vintage Cartier Necklace on 31 May 2023. The necklace is a $27k USD 1980's necklace. As style bloggers commented at the time Cartier had not been part of her street style before. At the VMAs in late 2022 she commented that she does not buy expensive jewellery, then started wearing this very expensive piece, in what seems to be important occasions. Of 8 wears have been at two weddings, twice in a photo that refers to Harry and twice close to Haylor anniversary's.
8 May 2023 - Coincidentally the day before Taylor was first seen wearing the necklace a photo of Harry outside Cartier was shared. Harry had been wearing the same shirt in a fan photo on 8 May. After which he was MIA on a tour break. Between when this photo was taken and it appeared online both he and Taylor were MIA on a tour break.
Soon in June after a fan commented on a Haylor Tiktok (since deleted and reposted) that her father had driven Harry to Taylors RI house 'recently' which may be false, there were also media reports they were hanging out.
20 May - their anniversary, Taylor played Invisible and Question...? Before question she said: "I have just never been this happy in all my life. I just want to thank you for being part of that. It's not just he tour, I just feel like my life finally makes sense. So I want to play this song that brings back a lot of happy memories."
On the same day, their anniversary, and the anniversary of HH Harry posted "I've never been happier than making this album"
But - Matty Healy? IMHO it was over Maylor/Haylor timeline and the promotion for Waglor had not started.
Perhaps Taylor bought the necklace for herself, it's interesting that she wears it for special occasions and that it appeared after Harry was seen near the store and then near Taylor.
31 May 2023 - At Electric Lady Studios the day she is thought to have recorded Fresh Out the Slammer
4 July 2023 - At Rhode Island in her belated Independence Day post, reminiscent of a photo linked to Harry's Mermaid Tattoo.
19 August 2023 - Jack and Margarets Wedding
19 September 2023 - Laura Dern, Greta Gerwig & Zoe Kravitz for Dinner in NYC
3 December 2023 - Kansas City Chiefs versus Green Bay Packers (Harry's team) in Green Bay, where Taylor dressed in a way that looks like the As It Was Music Video
2 May 2024 - At the afterparty of the Mahome's Charity Gala
18 May 2024 - In the pap boat ride at Lake Como, the last time Travis was seen for 6 weeks.
8 September 2024 - Owner of Electric Lady Studios, Lee Foster's wedding with model Karen Elson.

Why is Harry Styles All Over TTPD? A Timeline
TTPD Notes Glossary
Upon much ponderation and rabbit-hole-ing I think a truly stunning chunk of tracks on this double album (20) are her processing her feelings for whatever the hell happened with Harry.
What will likely be my Haylor magnum opus is under the cut because it is a bit lengthy. Good luck. Or I'm sorry??
I think they both pined for each other for years (well documented amongst the Haylors).
Then she split with Joe Alwyn before she left London for the Eras Tour, but she waited to make the announcement public (probably to give him time to pack up his shit and get out of their shared house) until April 8. However, excited to be “Fresh Out the Slammer,” she reached out to Harry ASAP.
I realize I might sound like an absolute raving lunatic, but I legit think Harry was at Taylor’s Arlington, Texas, Eras Tour shows, at the end of March/beginning of April 2023, and followed her to New York City for several days.
While Harry was tied up finishing up the Asian leg of his tour until March 25, I think he came almost straight to her after that, and love-bombed the shit out of her in his excitement.
But then right before he had to leave for tour, with a stopover in LA for the Satellite video and Late Late Show shoots, he gave her some sort of pulling-away speech about taking a pause or pulling back or something, (I’d wager because of the two world tours), which she took as a total rejection, which caused her to lose it and move on to the disaster we call Matty.
Then, in June, he met Taylor Russell in London. And maybe they were just friends at first, but then Taylor Swift started messing around with Matty, and then in July she started dating Travis and it went public in September. So, I suppose at that point Harry figured, "Okay, to hell with it."
And now, somewhere in London, I imagine their shared good mate, Ed Sheeran, has a pounding headache and wishes he still drank whiskey.
I hope the truth of it all someday comes to light in a tell-all book or movie. Or, at the very least, it would be nice if some more clarity surfaces in one of their albums, or a record by Ed.
Oh, and I think Stevie Nicks, of all fucking people, knows the tea. She considers both of them “like [her] children.” She gave them both matching crescent moon necklaces. And has performed with them. And she wrote the intro poem for this record. Read that and tell me it doesn’t match the story I’ve written in my head. Stevie knows.
And now, the timeline. @foxes-that-run Also has a much more detailed 2023 timeline that I recommend.
There are, I shit you not, about a fortnight of possible days (March 29/30-April 12, 2023) where they could have been together...
March 29/30
Harry likely leaves Toyko after his March 25 show. Love on Tour doesnt start up again until May 13 in Horsens, Denmark.
March 31
Eras Tour is in Arlington, Texas, for N1. It's a rain show. She replaces "Invisible String” with "The 1." The surprise songs were "Sad Beautiful Tragic" and "Ours." Read all my notes on TTPD and go watch these two live performances again. They're...really something.
April 1
She sings "Death by a Thousand Cuts" and "Clean."
April 2
She sings "Jump then Fall" and "The Lucky One."
April 3-6
Neither of them are seen these three days.
April 7
Harry is spotted at baggage claim in Atlanta
April 9
Harry is at the Master's Golf Tournament
April 10
Maybe this is when he leaves her. Taylor goes out for drinks with Jack and Margaret. However, this was an obvious pap walk (the day she had those butterfly jeans on); were the paps maybe called to this location to lure them away from her apartment so a certain person might or might not have could arrive unnoticed after a golf tournament in Atlanta?
April 12
In the afternoon, Harry is spotted with his trusty brown duffel bag (sporting an air travel tag) leaving the gym in LA. In NYC, Taylor is pictured on the roof of Electric Lady (maybe shooting music video?) with a Gucci lion ring just like Harry's but with a green stone. I Mr not the 10th, I think this evening was when he said whatever he said that made her so sad; maybe he thought they should take a pause until their tours were over? Maybe he decided their combined spotlights were just too big to overcome? Who knows? Not me. But my nosy ass wants to know!
April 13
Eras Tour in Tampa N1. Taylor cries during “Lover"
April 14
Eras Tour in Tampa N2. She plays "The Great War" (performed with Aaron Dessner) and "You're On Your Own, Kid."
April 15
Eras Tour in Tampa N2. She plays "Treacherous."
April 21
Eras Tour in Houston N1. She plays "Wonderland" and "You're Not Sorry" (these choices seem…significant. In a not good way.)
April 22
N2 in Houston. She plays "A Place in This World" and "Today Was a Fairytale" (for her mom, who I am sure was being a rock for her at this trying time)
April 23
N3 in Houston. She plays "Begin Again" and "Cold as You"
April 27 and 28
Harry does shoots for the "Satellite" music video and the last episode of the Late Late Show. The scenes for the music video aren't used. In my opinion his face looks puffy on Late Late (maybe from crying?)
Eras Tour Atlanta N1 Taylor sings "The Other Side of the Door" and "Coney Island."
April 30
Eras Tour Atlanta N3 she sings "I Bet You Think About Me" and "How You Get the Girl." She cries again during “Champagne Problems."
May 5-7
Ah, the Nashville Era's Tour shows. Such fond, fond memories. She sang “Sparks Fly,” “Teardrops on My Guitar,“ "Out of the Woods,” “Fifteen” (Abigail was there, and she dedicated this one to her)," Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” with Aaron Dessner and “Mine” (also Speak Now drop).
May 11
Dinner with Matty and Jack and Margaret at Casa Cipriani in NYC
Is it possible the villainy of Matty is that he planted the original story in The Sun that he and Taylor were dating? It ran May 3, two days before he showed up (from Asia) to the Eras Tour play with Phoebe Bridgers as the opening act in Nashville. I just always thought that was odd. Maybe he had a big fat mouth.
May 12
Eras Tour Philadelphia N1. She played “Gold Rush” and “Come Back…Be Here” (Aww, girl….)
May 13
LOT picks up again in Horsens, Denmark. He's smiling to himself all cute like during "Fine Line." Plus he played "Stockholm Syndrome" for the first time in yeeeears and looked delighted. :(
Taylor's surprise songs were “Forever & Always” and “This Love.”
May 15
Either way, she leaves Electric Lady studios with Matty in tow.
May 19
She plays "Should've Said No" and "Better Man." (Well, that's seems...not good.)
May 20
Ah, the day of the “Question…?” and “Invisible” combo. (Oh, Tay). Matty is seen entering Taylor's apartment with a big Louis bag full of what many people believe is the typewriter. I always assumed it was clothes or a synthesizer or some kind of equipment. ¯\_(ツ)_/
May 25
This is the last day she was seen with Matty (and the chorus of angels sang)
But, really, only he was seen outside her apartment leaving with his stuff. She wasn’t in town.
They were never seen together again after May 15.
May 26
Era's Tour Metlife N1. She sings “Getaway Car” with Jack Antonoff and “Maroon” (this was a very angry face Maroon).
May 27
Metlife N2. She sings “Holy Ground” and “False God," and cries.
June 22
Taylor records “The Black Dog” at Electric Lady. “Six weeks of breathing clean air,” if we’re being specific here (although she was touring and it could have just sounded good) would be May 11, 2023.
August 13
Stevie Nicks owns the opening poem for the album.

Deciding to out The Black Dog - Starting Line - Matty Healy link, just when she performed the song, when everyone had agreed it was about Joe is brave. So very brave.
here’s the thing. i don’t necessarily believe it isn’t about joe— the other song that mentions the starting line is fresh out the slammer, and that also skates the muse line. especially in the point of the song where the reference falls— “Now we're at the starting line, I did my time” comes right between “My friends tried, but I wouldn't hear it, watched me daily disappearing for just one glimpse of his smile” and “Here, at the park where we used to sit on children's swings, wearing imaginary rings.” like, if there’s ever a song that encapsulates “out of the oven and into the microwave” it’s fresh out the slammer
i do think marty covering the song multiple times does add a new layer, and “someone plays the starting line and you jump up but she’s too young to know this song” gives big matty energy, but i don’t think it completely wipes joe off the table— he also could’ve liked the song, and wouldn’t that just be magic and tragic
also, pure pedantic timeline shenanigans, but i’m pretty sure it was recorded june 22, which would’ve made it like, 4 weeks tops since her and matty split, and like 4/5 months since her and joe split, so the “six weeks of breathing clean air” detail also speaks to a more hazy muse
#asks*#basically what i’m saying is there’s matty in the song but idk how much of it is matty vs joe yknow?

do you have any thoughts on the ttpd timeline? I know we don't officially have dates for any but a few, but like for instance I feel like So Long London was one of the first ones written, purely off vibes
i have a few notes but there are a few things that are throwing me off. i'm probably overthinking this but:
florida, little old me and fresh out the slammer were partially recorded in louisiana, taylor and jack were in NOLA in december 2022 when joe and margaret were filming kinds of kindness (at the time still called "And"). she posted a pic on instagram for her birthday with a cello, which is featured on little old me and florida.
now i think that taylor was in the studio with florence last may for florence's vocals (as seen on a short) but she had already done her vocals in new orleans
if these songs are for matty healy... which they totally are... did she... cheat on joe? did they break up before march but didn't tell publicly, as how did it end suggests?
did she already know that she'd receive backlash because of matty so she wrote little old me? little old me was selfwritten so the argument "she wrote it to a track that jack did in NOLA and that's why the studio is credited" is not possible, unless she went back to louisiana in 2023/during the mh fiasco but i think this is highly unlikely
what's going on with peter?
what's going on with i look in peoples windows?
THE FACT THAT WE DON'T HAVE STUDIO CREDITS FOR THE ANTHOLOGY. taylor is UNFORGIVABLE for this. just copypast them on the lyric videos, goddamn!
I know she said that she started ttpd right after midnights but i feel like the majority of the songs were written in 2023. the other song that i'm sure was written in 2022 is the manuscript, which i'm fairly certain is about the atw10 reception. others might be the bolter, i hate it here, robin and the albatross (although i'm not 100% sure on the albatross)
the two rep-inspired songs, cassandra and aimee, might be either 2022 or 2023 but it depends on when she was rerecording rep. only rep tv will solve this
i'm lowkey waiting for aaron to say something

Yk with the added context of the Matty-Taylor relationship timeline, I was compelled to go back and reconsider certain songs from her discography and see them differently. Obviously we have The 1, Cardigan, Question..?, Glitch etc but what about the 1989 vault?
I have a strong belief that Taylor re-touches, if not fully edits the vault tracks before the album releases (as evidenced by the punchline lyric on ATW10MV).
Ofc, we don't know for sure, but in Now That We Don't Talk there's that line about the muse "growing his hair long" and Harry hadn't done that till late 2014 (atleast to a noticeable extent) so I felt that maybe that song was written later on.
Anyways, listening to TTPD got me thinking some thoughts. Like Taylor is very deliberate with her word usage on the songs. In Down Bad, the lyric "How dare you say that it's..." is supposed to be auto-filled with the word "over". This instantly made me think of Is It Over Now?
Was "Slut!" about Matty too? I mean if the rumours of a 1975 feature on that song were true, then obviously it has a connection to them? Also, I've always felt it was weird to have that song be about Harry for so many reasons, but whatever.
I mean ofc there's glaring references to Harry on the album, but by now we know that Taylor likes to merge her muses for a single song. She even liked a Tumblr post back in 2015 that related STYLE of all songs to Matty. Not a joke. Twitter recently rediscovered it and went nuts over it.
I feel like many songs we attributed to Harry over the years was just about Matty. I mean it always bothered me how much Taylor seemed to be affected by a 2 month situationship with an 18 year old all the way back in 2012. I mean she never brought up Kennedy or Lautner or Tom like she did with Harry in her later works....now we know that it was most likely Matty.
One part of me believes that So It Goes was also bout him. I mean "you did a number on me" means to mess someone up in a bad way, and I have no idea why she would put that lyric in there otherwise.
Also Ivy and Illicit Affairs were widely regarded to be about the Calvin-Tom-Joe situation...but in retrospect they might've been about Matty. These might sound like mindless rumours to most, but keep in mind that Guilty As Sin and Fresh Out The Slammer exist. Both Ivy and Illicit Affairs were fictional songs, but they expressed her inner feelings (swirled you into all my poems). Again, just theorizing here.
i guess he could be ~swirled~ into a few songs from 1989 tv (anything is possible! we didn't know the full story until the red vault! disclaimer!), but mostly i think what you are picking up on is that... taylor has a pattern in her relationships. and she has stories she tells herself about relationships, or herself, just like we all do, which create songs that share many themes.
like, obviously i don't know taylor, and i could be wrong about anything i write about her lyrics. but while ivy could be about matty (anything is possible!), i think it makes more sense that she has, on a few different occasions, left a dying relationships only after another person she liked came into her orbit. and this isn't even uncommon. lots of people only leave relationships when they have someone in the wings, or they've met someone who makes them realize the grass might be greener.

I don’t get that post about why taylor performed hits different in New Orleans? 😬 can you explain?
Admittedly I’m not the best person to ask bc I don’t have a really good memory for timeline stuff, but Taylor spent her 33rd birthday in New Orleans (I think it had to do with Joe filming something but I never cared to remember details like that very well) but basically it was one of their rough patches and just a few months before the final breakup. She recorded parts of fresh out the slammer, Florida, and who’s afraid of little old me the last time she was there. So her choosing Hits Different to play now is just another one of those “this use to be painful the last time I was here but now look at where I am” type of moments for her!

Hi, I have thoughts on TTPD....I always go back and forth on the timeline....to me it often feels like it goes way back to the whole tale of haylor. Like is all this happening after or during the joe breakup or way before.
So i guess i would like your take on a few thoughts. the 1989 TV she mentions the medi treatment during speak now snd red era and comparing it to Victorian times....just like the dress in the fortnight video. And after the ts hs breakup the miracle drug could be CH and after that they only communicated through songs. Or the drug is matty in 2023.
On another note fresh out the slammer...part of me can't shake that it might be after the CH breakup nit joe and that tolerated is also CH. The years not year is what confuses me though..
Anyway since you know sooo much about the timeline I really would like your take on it!!! Thanks
Im no expert but I have when I think the TTPD events were in this post below. I think it starts in 2021. Lots do think it’s referring to older events but I do t except for the songs that directly do (manuscript, bolter, albatross, thanKyouAImee)

TTPD Notes - The Manuscript (Pt. 3)
TTPD Notes Glossary
"Florida!!!"
Recorded June 29, 2023; however, I'd wager to guess the first pre-Florence draft of this was first penned earlier, as it probably took a bit of logistics to meet up with Florence in the studio
While probably a bit about all three recent exes ("So, I did my best to lay to rest all of the bodies that have ever been on my body") I'd say it's mostly about one. "And the hurricane with my name [Taylor Russell, is that you entering the chat?], when it came, I got drunk, and I dared it to wash me away. Barricaded in the bathroom with a bottle of wine. Well, me and my ghosts we had a hell of a time."
If you peruse my timeline, I think you’ll find that the “shitstorm back in Texas” and her need for the release/high of the Tampa shows suddenly snaps into clear focus.
Why does she want to be told that she’s despicable and unforgivable? The Matty thing is my guess.
"Guilty as Sin"
I think this was written pre-Eras Tour, but maybe not recorded until during?
Interesting note, a few years ago, Harry shared “The Downtown Lights” by The Blue Nile with music journalist Zane Lowe as part of a playlist he put together
A hedge maze is an outdoor garden maze or labyrinth. In "Labyrinth," she says, "I thought the plane was going down, how'd you turn it right around...I'm falling in love again." To me, this is saying, "I thought we were through, but I am falling in love with you again." And it's a clear reference to the Harry and Taylor of yore — paper airplanes. I am so confused about other people's confusion as to the muse of this song.
She says she keeps “these longings locked in lowercase inside a vault.” Hmm. Maybe keep an eye out for the “reputation” vault tracks? I know I am.
“I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)”
See this post
"loml"
I’m guessing recorded Spring 2023
Lion references make me think of this image from April 13, 2023 at Electric Lady. Were they shooting a music video for TTPD? If so, gimme now. She’s wearing a Gucci lion ring. From Harry? (If you are unaware, he also has two Gucci lion rings).
It was legendary, you say? Like, they were “born to be suburban legends” and when he holds you it holds you together and it’s “the only thing that’s holy” (“Guilty as Sin?”)
I don’t think “you shit-talked me under the table” means he talked shit about her. Harry would never do that. I think it refers to the alternate definition of the term. Like he was talking out of his ass or bullshitting.
“Love of my Life” is Harry’s only track 13.
This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Every time. It’s so beautiful, though, so I can’t stop won’t stop. “Dancing phantoms on the terrace/are they second hand embarrassed?” Fuck me all the way up.
Can you imagine being Joe Alwyn and knowing you put in six years and also knowing this song is not about you? I would simply turn to dust and blow away.
“I Can Do It with a Broken Heart”
God, this is such a great goddamn, perfect pop song. It has to be a single, right?
In my heart and gut, I believe this is about Harry. I really think she’d already processed the Joe breakup before Era’s even started. She didn't love Matty—she said so herself and I believe her. She started the tour strong. But then late April hits and boom she was crying on stage and falling apart. Why? See my crazy Haylor Magnum opus and timeline for my thoughts.
"The Black Dog"
I didn’t want it to be, but unfortunately, I’m convinced this is about Harry: Regarding the line, “I just don’t understand how you don’t miss me in the shower and remember how my rain-soaked body was shaking,” if you’ll refer to my scary stalker timetable, you’ll see it rained at the first night of the Arlington, Texas, show where I think Harry was.
In the original lyrics, it was “these weeks of breathing clean air” so the timeline means nothing.
Joe didn’t leave with his tail between his legs. She left him (see: “So Long, London” and “Fresh Out the Slammer”). Some might even say she bolted. And Matty was in the states when she wrote the song. But you know who was spotted and pictured in London just days before his Horsens show on May 13? Harry Styles.
Updated June 15, 2025: Joe confirmed to The Sunday Times’ Style magazine that he’s never been to Vauxhall where the Blackdog is located. In the intervening months, Matty Healy has since stated he and Taylor were not serious in any way.
These lyrics are clearly, to me, about someone she was with long term and left (Joe); this muse is someone she had a prior history with who left her—and suddenly. “Was it hazing? For a cruel fraternity I pledged? And I still mean it. Old habits die screaming.” And “Were you making fun of me with some esoteric joke?” “Hazing” and “cruel fraternity” are not apt metaphors for a six-year relationship. But they sure are for a two-week rebound with an on-and-off four-year situationship, though.
She was so, so big mad about Harry being at this bar. Why? Was he not answering her texts or calls/actually or appearing to “avoid her like the plague” as per “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart?” Why is there a girl there with him who is too young to know the Starting Line? Why does Taylor know this girl is there? Is she imaginary? She had better be imaginary! Goddamnit, Harry. I don’t want to be mad at you.
