Exploring the Saint Louis Arch and Local Gems with Friends
Recently, Tracey and I had the chance to visit the iconic Saint Louis Arch with our friends Tim and Tonya. It was a wonderful day filled with history, great food, and local brews. We kicked off our adventure at the Arch, and what a sight it was! Standing 630 feet tall, this architectural marvel is the tallest man-made monument in the United States and a symbol of the country's westward expansion. While the option to go to the top is usually the highlight for many visitors, unfortunately, we couldn’t make the trip up. The pods used to transport people to the top are pretty small, and since I’m claustrophobic, we decided to enjoy the view from the ground.

We then explored the museum at the Arch, which was incredibly extensive and informative. The exhibits took us through the rich history of America’s westward expansion, but we did find the flow a bit confusing at first. It wasn’t until we figured out the layout that we really got into it. For anyone planning to visit, just keep in mind that navigating the museum can feel a little disorienting at first, but it's well worth the time once you get the hang of it.
If you go, a helpful tip is to be prepared to go through a TSA-style checkpoint as part of the security protocol. It’s not overwhelming, but it’s good to know in advance.

Infinite Curves in Saint Louis
Afterward, we were told we had to check out a local favorite—Gus’s Pretzels. I have to say, they lived up to the hype! Fresh and hot, the pretzels were fantastic, though I’d definitely recommend eating them warm. They lose a bit of their charm when they cool down.
Next, we headed to Urban Chestnut Brewery, where we relaxed with some great craft beers. Tracey had a sour beer that she absolutely loved, while I enjoyed a solid pumpkin stout. The brewery had a laid-back vibe and was a perfect way to wrap up the day.

Vanishing Reflection
Throughout the day, I captured some incredible images of the Saint Louis Arch, the surrounding area, and even a few shots from Gus’s Pretzels and the brewery. These images really tell the story of our day, from the towering arch to the cozy brewery atmosphere. I’ve shared a few of them here so you can get a feel for the experience.

If you’re ever in Saint Louis, I highly recommend spending a day at the Arch and exploring the local spots nearby. It’s a fun blend of history, food, and relaxation that made for a memorable trip with great company!
