Idea: Desmond is reborn as someone’s kid, let’s say Ezio this time for fun. He’s reborn like just after Monteriggioni is destroyed and his mother gives him to Ezio and fucks off (or dies). But here’s where it gets interesting. Desmond only remembers part of his future life. Specifically, he remembers approximately 7 years ahead. So as an infant he has the knowledge of a 7 year old from the 20th (21st? I don’t remember his birth year off the top of my head) century. When he’s five he has the knowledge of a 12 year old. Maybe the life he lived as Desmond Miles comes to him in his dreams.
If you really want to hammer in the angst, his mother had been waiting in Monteriggioni for weeks when Ezio returned after retrieving the Apple so she had, in some way, endeared herself to Maria Auditore.
There’s no more bath flirting with Caterina and it will be replaced by Ezio talking to Desmond’s mother about how she doesn’t really expect Ezio to love her but she knows he’s a good man who would care of their child.
Ezio actually promises to marry her so Desmond wouldn’t be a bastard and for her to have a stable place in Monteriggioni.
Maybe love will blossom later on or maybe they’d get a divorce and remain friends, both of them are willing to try at the very least.
But then, Monteriggioni was destroyed and Ezio was too late. Desmond’s mother died shielding her son from falling debris and Ezio barely managed to get Desmond to his mother and sister before they escaped.
The next time he meets Desmond was in the brothel his mother and sister were staying. He starts to become busy trying to take Roma away from the Borgia.
But he tries his best to be with his son, to show that he loves him and cares for him.
That’s why he knows that Desmond has dreams. Strange dreams that he could barely remember. The older he gets, the clearer the dreams become.
Ezio starts to believe that his son is living 2 different lives. When he is awake, he lives the life of Desmond Auditore da Venezia. When he sleeps, he lives the life of Desmond Miles.
Ezio believes that this is the goddess’ way of showing Ezio that everything his family had lost and sacrificed had not been in vain.
Until Desmond starts to tell him how he’s treated as Desmond Miles.
The militaristic way he was being raised…
The isolation…
Desmond Auditore experiences Desmond Miles’ life, an older kid who was being raised to grow into an adult far too early and he feels the pain.
He’s too young for such pain and sadness that he comes to his father for comfort.
And all Ezio could do is comfort his son and feeling powerless because there was no way for him to comfort Desmond Miles as well.
.
(You want Desmond to have the knowledge of an older Desmond and here I am adding angst with the idea of a younger Desmond having to 'remember' Desmond's memories every day sorry not sorry XD)
#assassin's creed#ask and answer#desmond miles#ezio auditore#fic idea: assassin's creed#teecup writes/has a plot#i named this idea reborn desmond ezio son with timegated memories XD

Thought I'd do a friendly reminder to, well, remind people to stock up on basic mats for the Homestead crafting feature.
Most importantly, do NOT refine them into planks, ingots and so on unless you need them for something, because as far as we've seen in the stream, the crafting Refined Homestead Wood requires logs!
Even with the weekly limits, the first few weeks will probably see TP prices skewed upwards for all those mats, and they're already higher than before the JW announcement. If you can, make sure you have enough to comfortably craft for a few weeks, because we don't know the upper limit yet nor how long it'd take to reach, so even such a stockpile might go fast anyway.
This is also valid for people who are not interested but will want to craft something else that requires large quantities of basic mats.
And if your stacks are full, stash 'em in your bank or in an alt's inventory!
#Skye says stuff#gw2 jw#gw2 janthir wilds#aiming this specifically at those who want to decorate their homestead but can't play a lot per day. start saving now!#ngl I'm glad there's some timegating for this because its annoyance for won't ever beat the mess that the TP might become without it#I'd rather spend time in the new maps farming new currencies and mats than having to go back to the ol' t5 grinds lol#I also realized this halfway through refining my 1k storage of elder wood. never have I noped out of crafting faster than that moment

I almost got sucked into playing elona mobile until I saw your posts about it while I was scrolling through the tag about elona.
I uninstalled it immediately 😀
glad to have been of assistance!
elona mobile is so sad to me. it actually does a really good job of translating the hardest part of the game (controls) to mobile, and then it hits you with monetisation so severe that it doesn't even register those features could have existed at all without it
#it's especially frustrating because you could absolutely swing a monetised elona soshage#but if you do that by adding heavy timegating and charging for ingame drops it just gets markedly less fun

Gotta love how the Legacy Of The Dragonborn mod for Skyrim has a segment that's just straight up horror. Like it's cute to channel your inner dragon and collect a dragon hoard and put it in a museum that two steps shy of a self insert fanfic. But all of a sudden the game will have a priest show up and go "Museum's haunted." So you go inside where all the furniture is arranged is spoopy ways, and the mannequins are moving about partying. The priest then thinks now's a great time to take a nap in the haunted museum (I'm not kidding). Then you wake up in a hellscape with fire and blood and jumpscares. It's interesting that modding allows people to do that sort of thing, where the mod is truly whatever the modders are feeling like at the moment, but Sudden Horror Game Syndrome is not something that's fun to deal with. It's almost like Sonic.exe with how it's inconspicuous up until it goes full horror.
I guess it's nice that there's a console command to skip the quest, but it's a little weird since it does flesh out some of the background of the museum itself, and I got the warm and fuzzies afterwards, but not again.
#the elder scrolls#skyrim#legacy of the dragonborn#plus there's steps in the quest to hunt for pages that might clip through the floor#and a timegate too cause those are always good

I suspect I might be quite terrible at arknights owing to not understanding when is a good idea to pop record restoration, not having a very good understanding of which troops to use, and finally not actually being able to tell what is a leveling problem and what is a skill issue. I do like collecting my funny animal people though.
#void talks#arknights#I read an entire article about how fortress defenders are a bad idea#and then I get excited at the prospect of using one anyway#sincerely do not know what's wrong with me#also do the record restoration things cycle out???#oh god is that also timegated I haven't done like any???

Gareth isn't named as one of the Tam Lin but like SPIRTUALLY I think that she embodies this concept even more than the three Tam Lin we're presented with in story, and in much the same way that Mash is Tam Lin Galahad. Ainsel prophecized the arrival of Arturia and the end of Fairy Britain but couldn't save her clan when it was annihilated, but her desire to help the world was so strong that she was reborn as Gareth, Knight of the Round Table, Knight of Londinium, the protector of children and loyal companion of the Child of Prophecy. There's an interesting thread about knighthood - Barghest only becomes sympathetic once she sheds Gawain's name and truly begins living up to her knightly ideals. Baobhan Sith was NEVER a noble or good person, and could no longer hide her desperation or her inadequacy once she lost Tristan's name. [Lancelot is the only one still clinging to the identity of the Tam Lin but her arc has literally only just begun.]
Anyway what was I saying? Ah yes. So Mash is continually held up as the ideal of a knight - but even though she was briefly a Tam Lin, her true strength comes from within. She doesn't need Galahad's name. She is the true knight of Chaldea just as Gareth becomes the Knight of Londinium under her own power and for her own reasons.
Anyway - Ainsel is a Tam Lin. Gareth is a true knight.
#fate grand order#fgo spoilers#lb6 spoilers#Gareth#is this anything idk i have one more chapter i think until i hit the timegate#i just have a lot of feelings

the way xal'atath hasn't ever touched alleria yet has floated right up into her face and whispered into her ear right behind her... wow
#warcraft spoilers#ramblings#redoing the main storyline on an alt.. finally starting to level alts now#and man. wow......... makes me feel all 😳#probably the first time ive ever replayed the storyline without skipping cutscenes#am skipping a bit of the dialogue tho to speed up levelling but yea#i guess it has been the first time in years the storyline has captivated me..#i love the fully-animated in-game ones where our character is a part of it#i remember in shadowlands seeing that for the first time when anduin uses the light.. i was gobsmacked lol#now it's quite common to see cutscenes like this and it's great!#(not the cutscenes where they use default anims... they look so weird still. it's like watching machinima)#but i guess they have their charm too. lol#a shame the war within storyline campaign thing thats timegated has muted dialogue in the cutscenes tho#at least i play with subtitles on#anyway i caught up with that on my main. cant wait to get earthen#not like i'll play one but it'll be cool to finally unlock them

I should spend a week or so farming plat so I can buy the final few weapons I'm missing....
but also I like wasting resources and time making silly builds instead~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
fuck
Anyways, after my grinds tonight I am now down to 18 mastery items (non intrinsic) left.
3 are syndicate weapons I just need to trade for.
2 are the ESO vandal weapons because RNG is evil and ESO is boring.
1 is Hema which I plan on sitting down and grinding out the rest of the samples to get it "legit". We are reasonably invested, so a little while of deimos farming with multiple boosters should do it.
Then the remaining 12 are prime weapons that I'm missing like a single part for each, so not too expensive on that front but a bit tedious to map out.
Every day my various collections get a little closer to being finished ^^
#warframe#RetPlays#Alongside weapon mastery I also am remaking all the weapons I've sold to have at max rank in my armory- I also need 2 railjack intrinsics#and a small array of mods though most of those are timegated thanks to nightwave :/#But! The list dwindles! Then I'll inevitably be like 'I gotta collect the PVP mods' or 'I gotta max every arcane' who knows.

The minorest of problems, but tfw you're watching a streamer do a Let's Play but it's only 2 days a week and your brain is going feral but you can't look up other content about the game because there will be Spoilers Everywhere
#like at least back in the day with episodes of tv shows you could talk to people because everyone was at the same point#now I'm timegated and can't even do anything#can't even play the game myself either because it's still PS5 exclusive and I'd probably struggle anyway#sigh

THE pubs we visited on our road trip to Sydney’s inner-west in 2019 started their trading life as working class, blue collar establishments. The four pubs all opened over a century ago, frequented by wharfies, factory workers and customers well-known for their hard drinking and tough attitude. Balmain and Rozelle have changed though, and so have the customers at the pubs we visited – The Three Weeds, The Welcome, The Sackville and The Unity Hall (pictured). Read our review and the history of the three pubs at the Time Gents website:

How exactly did Joker's Wild start? I can't find any reliable sources of every single segment of the season and what I can find doesn't make sense
Unfortunately, I don't know as I did not play that year. I only played the quests from that year later when it was all done, during Shadowkeep year so I'm not sure if I did them in the right order or how they were started originally. When I played them, you could just kinda pick anything up from vendors when you wanted. You didn't get much context for it.
The most reliable source is usually Destiny Lore Vault which has the playlist for that season here. This includes the intro to Gambit Prime stuff, decision to side with Drifter or Vanguard, Drifter's tapes and then Invitations of the Nine. This season also included the Reckoning for which you can see dialogue here. The exotic quest that season was for Thorn.
You can also check the lore books from that season, as acquiring them was a part of many of these quests (for example, for siding with the Drifter you'd get his lore book, but for siding with the Vanguard you'd get Aunor's lore book. You could get both by making a different choice on different characters):
A Man With No Name (about Drifter) The Warlock Aunor (about Aunor and her investigation) Stolen Intelligence (Vanguard and Hidden files for Ikora, they were unlocked by levelling up with Zavala) For Every Rose A Thorn (you'd get these when getting kills with Thorn) Ecdysis (about Orin, these were unlocked through Invitations of the Nine) Dust (about Lavinia's search for the Nine, unlocked with scannables in the Reckoning)
At the time, seasons didn't really have the same weekly storytelling thing that we have now so there's no weekly thing or anything like that. A lot of this also originally included having to hop on into seasonal activities like the Reckoning to make progress through steps.
Invitations of the Nine was a quest you could pick up once per week from Xur and it required some usual busy work (kill enemies, do a specific strike) to actually give you the option to see the Invitation. For some reason, when the season ended, this remained a once-per-week quest step so you couldn't breeze through them at once, you could only pick up one Invitation per week from Xur. So no matter what, you had to come back for a single quest every week for 9 weeks if you wanted to go through it.
Hope this helps! Also if people who played that season when it was active have anything to add, feel free! I only know how it went when it was already done.
#destiny 2#season of the drifter#ask#one thing i will definitely say that i miss is getting that many lore books per season#don't miss the random timegating of quests#that was very annoying. you could never just get through things at once there was so much waiting for no reason
