Can I print your astarion photos and put them on my walls?
Hi! Sure. It would be my honor ! 🥰 I recommend downloading shots from my GD, for better quality. If there is no photo you want, you can write to me and I will upload it. Also if you want I have files in TIF format.

The Foundation
This is it, Step 1! The strong foundation for organization. I go into Mod Organizer 2 and set up a new mod, then make the meshes and textures file structure. The last screenshot's made clear that I have Hazards model and all of his necessary images, but before we get anything into Skyrim the images need to be in .dds format. Right now, they're .TIF files. Have no clue what those are but his normal maps are looking like this, and I'm not too sure about it.
That means it's time to look it up! After splitting apart the channels in RGBA, he has a red and green, but his blue is black. Maybe that's why it looks all barf green and not the cool pink/blue hue I'm used to. If I remember correctly about RGB's and tangent space normal maps, the red channel means the light is facing to the right, the green is the channel where the light is at the top, and the blue is the light shining directly at the character. So I'm guessing Overwatch's normal maps don't have the, shining directly at the character normal map. I'll ignore it for now, but I downloaded some tutorials for Skyrim normal maps on the side just in case. Later on, I will need to make object space normal maps (the cool rainbow normal maps that kind of look like candy) for the parts of him that are skin. I remember I can do that in xNormals and will explain that more in depth when we get to that step. I'll leave all these textures more or less unchanged and just port them to .dds.
Back to Blender, I'm now organizing the parts of his model that are skin vs that aren't. His mouth bag was separated from his face, so I attached it back on by using the merge by distance feature. Since I didn't move anything around in his mouth, so I was able to merge everything correctly. This is important for when we do expressions later on. Now, I'll be doing the same to his eyelashes to his face so I can move those neat as well.
Now as I was doing my separating, I realized something horrifying - I was going to have to, at this rate, redo all the tedious rigging and weight painting MYSELF for this huge man if I didn't use a tool I used for the Uruk project, the FBX bone renaming tool. But in order to do that, I'd have to save this armature as an FBX *and* I would have to go get the bones back that I deleted. (That's why you didn't see them in the first screenie.)
This is a lot of bones to rename, and to make matters worse, all the bones aren't even named anything useful in the armature! So I'm likely going to have to go and rename everything manually myself anyways both in Blender and in a notepad document for the tool to work. (The tool renames all the bones in the FBX and deletes the duplicates that aren't needed I think.)
We'll have to see how that goes later. I deleted weird duplicate meshes inside Hazard, reattached his arm (because when you put him in, his gun arm is on the floor for some reason), then decided to take a break. The next step from here would be renaming this list of bones into useful details, like his pelvis, upper body, lower body, left arm, right arm, etc. Whatever the standard bone naming tree is. I'll likely just reference a Skyrim skeleton and see how they did it.
So I was SUPPOSED TO take a break but the adhd brainworms got to me, so I exported his entire model into outfit studio just to see what would happen.
Oh, when I exported the model to Outfit Studio, his arm fell off, so I had to go back into blender, delete the armatures on his gun arm, apply the pose to the armature, then put the armature modifier back on the gun arm for it to stay put on export.
The circled bones are the bones I need in order to have Hazard move. The ones I crossed out are the ones I don't need. There's a whole, whole, WHOOOOOOOLE list of bones I don't need that I need to get rid of so he exports correctly. But even then, these aren't really the 'bones' I'm worried about, it's the bone weight thingies. Even when I export this, he's going to look weird because his body is gonna implode and squish to the vanilla skeleton. That's when I'll have to adjust the skeleton myself to get it to the shape of Hazard, sort of like what I did with this big Olog from Shadow of War a while back:
I'll cut it here for today since I spent about 3 or so hours on sniffing around the modding so far. Seems like the first big hurdle will be bone stuff!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
THE SERIES
The 4 Pages 16 Bars: A Visual Mixtape trade paperback series is a celebration of where true diversity exists in this industry. It is a living historical document, the gold standard of independent works from creators of color. It is a sampler for potential fans to enjoy our intellectual properties. It is a showcase for existing and upcoming talent and a source guide for those fans to purchase our books.
The first volume dropped in June 2015 with subsequent volumes released in Fall 2015, Winter 2016, Spring 2016 and Fall 2018. We had three very successful Kickstarters for Volumes 6, 7 and 8, which were released in Spring 2021, Summer 2021, and Spring 2022. The ninth volume coincided with the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop in 2023. We’re looking for content that will make up Volume 10 of the longest running anthology series featuring independent works from creators of color.
CRITERIA
This is what we are looking for: EXCERPTS FROM EXISTING COMIC BOOKS, GRAPHIC NOVELS, E-COMICS WEBCOMICS AND COMIC STRIPS
Minimum of four pages (or comic strips) of a property that has been published or will be published within the next six months.
ILLUSTRATION AND/OR FINE ART
Minimum of four images, maximum of eight images for our gallery spotlight sections. Renditions of characters from popular culture (i.e. Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime or any other licensed properties) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
NO AI-GENERATED IMAGES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
ARTICLES, POEMS OR PROSE
We are looking for articles that speak to the history of creators and/or characters of color in comics. These articles are not advertisements, but more so academic explorations of the sequential art medium and popular culture. Maximum of 1500 words.
We are also looking for short stories, poems or excerpts of speculative fiction. Poem submissions have a maximum limit of five entries. Short stories have a maximum of 2500 words. Excerpts from speculative fiction have a maximum of five pages.
GENRE
We are open to all subgenres of speculative fiction. Superheroes, Sci-Fi, Westerns, Horror, Humor, Fantasy… We like it all! It just has to have soul, flavor and people of color should be the focus either “in front of the camera” (characters and concepts) or “behind the scenes” (creative teams). The works in previous volumes are from creators who are Black, white, Asian, LGBTQ, local and global. Our main concerns are QUALITY and AUTHENTICITY.
We are looking for COMPLETED works. Things that already exist. You shouldn’t have to create new work to be included in this project. We’re looking for creators who have taken destiny in their own hands. What we are looking for is the next level; creators who have unique viewpoints and vision. We are looking for creators who continue to move the needle.
With that said, the anthology is basically PG-13. 4 Pages 16 Bars has been taught in universities and resides in libraries. So no gratuitous nudity, gore, etc. If you are questioning the taste level of your work, chances are it is not appropriate for the anthology.
BUSINESS
All who are selected must have a professional written biography, minimum of 200 words, for inclusion into the anthology.
All who are selected must have a WEBSITE (not just a social media page) for people to view, purchase products and/or procure services.
DEADLINES
COMICS AND ILLUSTRATION: March 15, 2025.
ARTICLES, SHORT STORIES AND PROSE: March 15, 2025.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All art must be 300dpi (print resolution)
All art must be sent in either .JPG, .TIF or .PDF formats
All comic book, graphic novel and E-comic submissions MUST BE 6.625” X 10.25” (full-bleed 6.875” X 10.5”)
Comic book, graphic novel and E-comic submissions must be a MINIMUM OF FOUR PAGES AND A COVER IMAGE WITHOUT text (i.e. logos, subtitles, company identification, etc.)
All prose, articles, short stories and poems must be sent in a Word document (.doc, .docx) or shared through Google Drive for document conversion.
If interested, send us samples of your submission through our CONTACT page or our e-mail address [email protected] for consideration. Best of luck!

a bit of an addition to the last art post
i had to save these things in stages because. um. i never knew which computer im gona end up at for the day n i didnt wana lose any progress or work or whatever so i saved them in png (or sometimes tif? for some reason i dont remember) formats on my google docs SDKFGSD:LKFDS so i have a lot of like, in-between stages n i think they look cool too👍
at a certain point, when enough time passes, you get to look at your own work like it is something that is foreign to you. You are not the same person who did it in the first place, and that isn't always a bad thing. Looking at these in-between stages and seeing the...thought process? behind the work? its an interesting experience bcs i only vaguely remember how i did it. i know i blocked things out into light/half shadow/shadow. but it looks so well done? so thought out? like a meditative process. i'm sure i could do it again, but it will take some doing to find that mind space again, i think.

How does Tumblr not trash the res of your posts? I'm having this weird line issue-
It looks kinda like it's glowing around the edges..?
Oh interesting….I’m not sure why it doesn’t show up on mine! Might depend on the export format is (jpeg, tif, png, etc.) or what size canvas you use but I would check those as well as your DPI. Those would be potential problem areas that I could think of.
You don’t want to have a super high DPI to prevent art theft but you also don’t want it to look pixilated. Maybe play around with those settings to see if it helps!

I was wondering what kind of skill level and mediums are you expecting for the Stan Twins lyric comic?
Like for example I don't have great digital art skills, but I have fairly decent traditional arts skills like painting
Hi! Traditional art (of any kind) is fine! You would just need to have some way of digitizing the traditional art -- whether it's by scanning, or by taking a good photo of it. If you're trying to digitize it -- that is, get it into JPEG, TIF or PNG format -- and you're going to try to do that by taking a photo, we can give you feedback on how to do that in order to get the best results. Depending on the technology you have available, there may also be scanning apps that you can get for your phone?
Just note that under the "needs help / what kind of help" part of the interest form.
And, anyone reading this who has tips for how to digitize traditional art, if you don't have access to a flatbed scanner, please do reply! Or, reblog this with tips. Anon, be on the look out for replies to this post, in case others chime in.

I'm running Firefox 117.0 (most current) and, for whatever reason, &format=original doesn't work; any webp image still saves as a webp.
BUT just downloading the wretched webps and running them through XnConvert works every time. (NB, I'm not being paid to say this, it's just a good app which does what it's supposed to.)
Drag-and-drop as many webp files as need changed onto the convert list, click Convert and the new format (there are lots, from BMP to JPG to PNG to TIF and pretty well everything else) is saved to whatever destination folder you've assigned.
I started out saving conversions to Source folder (Downloads) for comparisons before deleting the webp originals. TBH the app has been so consistently reliable that now - or rather, when I remember to do the change-destination thing - I send the conversions straight to where they belong: Cats, Swords, Vintage Cars, Foodie Pix etc.
And when I don't remember, they go where they've always gone, so that's okay.
me when i meet the person who created webp files

Building Faster, Smarter, And Better: The Power Of Automated Takeoff & Estimating
The construction industry is evolving rapidly, with technology transforming traditional processes into more efficient and streamlined operations. One key advancement is the adoption of construction quantity takeoff solutions that automate estimating tasks. These tools enable contractors and estimators to work smarter, faster, and more accurately than ever before.
The Evolution of Construction Estimating: From Manual to Automated
Historically, construction quantity takeoff involved manual processes like measuring paper blueprints with scales and digitizer tablets. This method was time-consuming, prone to human error, and required substantial resources. Today, automated takeoff software has revolutionized the industry. By leveraging digital technology, estimators can eliminate inefficiencies and focus on delivering accurate results quickly.
What is Automated Takeoff and How Does It Work?
Automated takeoff is a technology-driven process where quantities for materials, areas, and items are extracted directly from digital drawings and models. Using tools like on-screen digitizing software or Building Information Modeling (BIM), estimators can perform accurate measurements without manual intervention. Simply upload digital files like PDFs, DWGs, or TIFs, and the software calculates measurements automatically, ensuring precision and speed.
Why Automation is Critical for Modern Construction Projects
Modern construction projects require efficiency and accuracy due to increasing complexities and tight deadlines. Manual takeoff methods are no longer sufficient to meet these demands. Automated takeoff solutions not only reduce errors but also save time and money, making them critical for staying competitive in today’s market. By automating repetitive tasks, construction professionals can focus on strategic planning and project execution.
Key Benefits of Automated Takeoff and Estimating Software
The adoption of automated estimating software offers several key advantages:
Time Savings: Automated tools majorly reduce the time spent measuring and calculating quantities.
Accuracy: Precision is enhanced as errors caused by manual measurements are eliminated.
Cost Efficiency: Reduced reliance on paper plans, digitizer tablets, and manual efforts lowers overall project costs.
Scalability: Whether working on small projects or big-scale construction, automated tools can adapt to various project sizes.
Improved Collaboration: Digital files are easily shareable, allowing seamless collaboration among teams and stakeholders.
Automating the Takeoff Process
Today, there are two different ways to perform takeoffs for new construction projects: using paper blueprints or digital files. While paper blueprints stem from digital files, working directly with digital files offers notable benefits:
Cost savings on paper, ink, and printing expenses. Mobility and flexibility to perform takeoffs anywhere with a laptop. Cleaner organized workspaces with fewer storage requirements for bulky blueprints. Lower costs as expensive digitizer tablets are unnecessary.
On-Screen Digitizing from Drawing Files
A well-designed on-screen digitizing program allows users to view various file formats like DWG, DWF, TIF, and PDF. Measurements are performed using a computer mouse instead of scales or digitizer tablets. These tools also allow:
Customize line styles, colors, and symbols for better clarity. Seamless integration with MS Excel for precise quantity recording and estimation. Accurate measurement recording into the appropriate spreadsheet cells.
Automatic Takeoff Using BIM (Building Information Modeling)
BIM is a rapidly developing technology in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. It allows for data sharing, seamless transfers, and enhanced collaboration. Design-build contractors are early adopters of BIM-based quantity extraction, but industry-wide adoption is still evolving. Staying updated on BIM advancements can help businesses capitalize on this emerging trend.
Finding the Right Provider
When selecting an automated takeoff and estimating solution, it is important to choose a reliable provider. Vertigraph, Inc. is recognized as one of the most trusted names in the industry. Known for offering top-tier automated estimating software, Vertigraph ensures accuracy, efficiency, and ease of use for construction professionals of all levels.
Conclusion
Automating the construction quantity takeoff process is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity for success in the modern construction landscape. By embracing tools like on-screen digitizing and BIM, companies can build smarter, faster, and better. The right automated solution, such as those provided by Vertigraph, Inc., can make a significant difference in achieving project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
