27 and 33, for the couples questions? For whatever OC(s) you think of first after reading the question!! 💜
thank you! For Ticcer and Risha:
They have to apologize to their partner. Is this difficult for them? How do they approach it?
It's harder for Risha because she'll never hear the end of it...really the two of them bicker a lot over silly things but don't have really big arguments needing big apologies. If Ticcer did really mess up he would try and make up for it with his actions, do something that would show he cares, because if he uses his words it'll be a disaster and no way serious enough. But casual bickering? It's difficult for both of them to apologise because they are too competitive and don't want to back down to the other.
Sometimes it's a bit less predictable what upsets him. Risha knows though that if something does poke his buttons it's generally best to give him a bit of space and time to himself before approaching, and then after that it's just being like a physical presence for him.
Under what circumstances would they feel jealous?
With Ticcer it leans a lot into his insecurity, if they're around people he perceives as socially 'better' or 'higher up' than he is it can bring it out - just seeing how well-adjusted Risha is to those situations and how she seems to fit in, in a way. But it's just a matter of practice, Risha's always trained herself for it but it doesn't mean she enjoys it. It was like that with Rineld as well, Ticcer being jealous because Rineld was something he could never be, had all these advantages that he himself didn't have. But Ticcer had Risha's heart, which the Count didn't.
Risha definitely gets jealous when people fall for his charms or try to flirt with him, which does bring out her possessive side a bit. She's also quite jealous of just his general attitude to going about things - she is a planner, he is Not - he's very impulsive and can be quite spur of the moment, saying yes to chances that come his way - whereas she likes to plan ahead, assess the risks and so on. It's best for them to meet in the middle, because whilst it helps him make a lot of credits, he's got a lot fewer injuries since she's been around...

Smuggler wedding! Actual vows!
(take out the sweetheart and it’s perfect) (also, Ticcer, don’t make her answer that)
FAIR
🥺
eeeeeeeeeee
I guess she now knows his full name too...although I think she may have found out when she did his background check on leaving Coruscant. To go off on a tangent, his ship’s registered under the name Ticcer Marzan but as they were on his home planet where his records were she found out a bit more...and managed to fill in the gaps by herself. But now he’s getting married, guess he has to actually admit his full name for it to be official so. Ticcanledri Jek Drayen it is.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o? and W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon. For Ticcer & Risha!
thank you!
Dreams answered here
W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Ticcer will always be very much a city boy even years after leaving Coruscant. There’s still this childish wonder he has when he stares up at the stars and he thinks others aren’t looking, when his face softens from that frown which is all-too-common - when he’s not the Voidhound, he’s not trying to joke things away, when it’s just a genuine, even innocent, smile. Risha tries to catch it as often as she can.

oc music meme!
tagged by @blitzindite - thank you, I love inflicting my music taste upon others 😉 Time to bring out the green boy as I listen to many songs and then go - hey, it’s him! Dangerous tagging me in a music meme as I have gone into an excessive amount of detail here.
Tagging @sentinelapologist @darth-bagel @a-muirehen @greyias if you would like to!
list one or more songs that relate to the following
reminds you of them most:
Bomb the Music Industry! - Sick, Later - I'm such a guarded guy 'cause I've been hurt too many times. Familiar?
Ezra Furman - No Place - could put this in the last category but putting it up here because it’s like his relationship with Coruscant? The city, the world he’s grown up in becoming a place that isn’t safe, it goes at a hundred miles an hour, needing to escape it all
Mott The Hoople - All The Young Dudes - musically and lyrically it has his essence, also I can’t do a music meme without throwing in some Bowie tbh
Los Campesinos! - As Lucerne/The Low - Ticcer being an emo and wallowing in his misery hah
reminds another character of them:
The Homeless Gospel Choir - Don’t Give Up - because certain people have probably felt he has needed to hear this, when he is wallowing
Slow Club - Number One - mostly thinking about Risha here but probably a few others would connect to it for him. Especially the final verse.
reminds you of a relationship of theirs, doesn’t have to be romantic, can be paternal, friendly, etc:
Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - You’re All I Need To Get By - for his relationship with Risha, of course. One of the most beautiful love songs, and it also neatly matches up to one of the lines he says in the game to her, ‘you’re the only treasure I need’.
Mystery Jets - Lost in Austin - likewise for him and Risha, for the line Take me to the edge/I’m not scared/And if we fall off, it doesn’t matter/We’ll do it all again
Los Campesinos! - To Tundra - For his sister. The Genius page for the lyrics has the summary ‘another song about death from the band’. Obviously take away the more romantic interpretation of the song haha and fixate upon this lyric. Take a body to water, take a body to tundra/Just take me with you as well. This song captures grief so well, and Ticcer is defined by his grief in so many ways...Also this line hits as well in that spell when it was just the two of them, Ticcer looking after her and helping out a lot of the other kids We take on the burden of all these sad-eyed children/With lilies bunched in our hands. (Look I’ll stop now before I write an entire essay about how much I love this band but one last thing, live music is one of the biggest joys in my life and last time I saw them they played this and it was such a big emotional moment, and also the last gig I went to before lockdown. )
The Libertines - You’re My Waterloo - apparently I’m only putting songs in this part that make me cry. Could fit his relationship with Risha too but makes me think more about him and Slick, and the essence of that first love. (also this is an mlm romance song tbh, I will Not Accept the music video trying to make it something otherwise, and the original guitar demo will always mean a lot more to me than the piano version they eventually released)

from the domestic questions: 9, 15, and 32 for Ticcer and Risha? :)
thank you!
9. do they act different in public and at home?
They’re both definitely more likely to show their vulnerable side when they’re home which they would definitely not do in public. But otherwise, they’re much the same. Ticcer does tend to put on a front when he’s ‘negotiating’ but in general he’s the same cocky idiot and Risha’s got the same snark wherever they are.
15. what habits of the other drives them crazy?
Ticcer is messy and oh my days if Risha trips over his boots one more time she is going to lose it! Just pick up your clothes and stop leaving them lying on the floor!
32. do they have nicknames or pet names for each other?
Ticcer normally shortens her name to Rish, will call her babe, sometimes calls her his queen if it’s the two of them. She’ll call him captain and flyboy (I mean, captain is his title, but it sounds different when she says it), and then she’ll use the more traditional pet names if she feels the need to assert herself in front of others (like calling him ‘lovebug’ in front of Beryl which I think took all of them by surprise)

okay, cringe away, the smuggler gang go to the beach:
it’s Ticcer’s first time going to one, he’s seen the sea before but always avoided it - being from a city planet, open water scares him.
Risha gets him an inflatable ring and somehow gets him to go in the water, promises to hold his hand the whole time
when he gets comfortable enough they resort to splashing water at each other
Bowdaar isn’t too fond of the beach because sand and fur is not a good mix
Corso has flowery swim shorts
Ticcer wearing sunglasses
sandcastle building turns a bit too competitive (Akaavi wins)
Guss drops an ice cream
this is all nonsense but you knew what you were getting into when you started reading

L and T for Ticcer?
thank you!
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
I think he’d blurt it out on impulse, or say it accidentally without thinking. I’m pretty sure he started falling in love with Risha the moment he met her so he really had to fight that urge hard haha. And he has to say it a lot and show it for her to truly understand because...boy talks a lot of shit a lot of the time
T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
honestly I just think with the lifestyle he has and that him and Risha lead it kind of comes naturally to them? they don’t really need to actively try things because days are rarely the same, there isn’t much of a routine...so if anything it’s the comfort in always having each other to fall back on

Glue Me
Summary: After the discovery in his meeting with Rogun on Tatooine, Ticcer shuts himself away on his ship. Only Risha can break his silence.
Spoilers for chapter three of the smuggler class story.
One-shot. Cross posted to ao3.
No words were spoken on the speeder ride back to the Firebird. Risha had never known him be so quiet in the three years since they'd met; if anything, the challenge was more getting him to stop talking. Usually he never shied from offering up some daft comment or typical smuggler boast for her to roll her eyes at, like he enjoyed setting her up to make a witty comeback. But this time, nothing. His eyes focused solely ahead, a scowl etched upon his face ever since Rogun's hideout.
They'd gotten closer in the past few months, close enough that they could actually call it a relationship after so long flirting without making commitments. She'd never intended to let things get this far – after all, taking her throne was always supposed to be the priority – but she'd never quite managed to hide the smile that formed every time she heard those familiar footsteps approach her room on the ship. She'd spent all that time trying to resist him for the sake of her future, but truthfully she'd much rather spend time with him than some refined, pretty noble like Merritt Rineld. Ticcer was rough around the edges, about as far away from the ideal king as she could find, yet that drew her to him even more. He didn't worry about sucking up to her, he wanted to be with her before he ever knew about the throne, and finding out didn't change the way he treated her at all. And yes, he was definitely nice to look at as well. Though the trouble was telling him that without getting one of his 'I told you so' grins back.
The mood was different now though. Since the meeting with Rogun and his men, the discovery about Darmas and the senator, a wall had gone up around him. There'd been none of his usual swagger when he took out Rogun and seized his criminal empire for himself, something that should have been cause for celebration. Instead there was an unnerving coldness in his voice that hadn't been there before.
From the moment they started working together, it had been obvious that the Empire was a sore spot for him. He never really talked about his past, or at least nothing before he started smuggling, but she'd run background checks when she first met him and she had her theories. Ticcer was so obviously a nickname that she had to do a bit of poking, after all; and it was best to know what she was working with if they were going after her father's treasure. She traced Ticcer Marzan back to a Ticcanledri Marzan from the planet they'd met and, well. It wasn't hard to guess what had happened to someone growing up on Coruscant at that time. The shockwaves were still being felt in the Republic more than a decade later; it was no surprise that personal scars ran so deep too. There was no need to press him on it. Hating the Empire that way, always having his guard raised, that all made sense.
“Come on, let's get moving,” he grunted, helping her off the speeder before setting off towards the ship at such a pace she had to jog to keep up. The rest of the crew had already gathered in the docking bay outside, Guss apparently in the middle of another story that left Akaavi exasperated and Corso fighting back tears of laughter.
“Hey Captain, where we headed?” Corso tried to ask, but Ticcer marched past him and straight into the ship without so much as a glance. “What's up with him?”
Risha shook her head frantically, firing off warning glares at each of them before they followed him up the ramp. “Don't ask. Don't say a word.”
Ticcer was already waiting in the cockpit when they caught up to him, drumming his hands against his thighs as he paced from side to side.
“Finally,” he said brusquely. “Corso, set a course for Corellia.” His words were sharp, his eyes avoiding the bewildered stares of his crew. He left the cockpit as abruptly as he'd spoken, leaving them all in a stunned silence.
Corso turned back to Risha. “Do you want to tell us what's happening? Are things okay with you two?”
“We are fine. Rogun's dead. But it turns out Pollaran and Dodonna are traitors, all those jobs were to help the Empire, not the Republic.” Corso sunk back, grasping towards his seat at her words, Bowdaar giving a loud growl of anger. Major players in the underworld they may all be these days, but there were still those who had a personal stake in seeing the Empire defeated, just like their captain. Even Akaavi, the most pro-Empire of all of them, seethed with disgust, spitting about dishonour and muttering in Mando'a under her breath.
A barrage of questions followed all at once, but Risha could barely muster her response. The news had been a sucker punch straight into the guts of them all, and of course they wanted to know what the plan was from here. But where normally she had a great scheme to share, now even she was coming up short. Go to Corellia, but then what? And what could a crew do if their Captain couldn't lead them?
She only wanted to find him, comfort him, reassure him – but what could she say to even begin to make things better? Nearly two years they'd worked with them, two years spent trusting the wrong people. Even if he did it to line his own pockets rather than those of the Republic, a betrayal like this was probably the cruellest thing they could have done to him. He wasn't a man to let go of his grudges, the way he'd chased down Skavak had been a testament to that. And this was the Empire, this meant more. He'd never claimed to be a Republic patriot, see them as the good guys like Corso did, but there'd always been a pattern in the jobs he'd taken. Money, yes, but also hitting the Empire where it hurt. It was how he'd always justified picking up those extra jobs the Republic offered, even as she teased him for being their lackey. Hating the Empire often went hand in hand with helping the Republic, and at least he was wise enough to make credits from it too.
She didn't have a personal stake in the same way. He was her personal stake, and there was no way to sugar-coat the pain he was in now, no kind words that could make it all disappear. Watching him shut himself away like this was a struggle, but it didn't even begin to compare to the way he hurt right now.
* * * * * * * *
The Firebird was eerily quiet for the rest of the journey to Corellia. Normally Risha would have been relieved for their antics to die down for just a minute, but now the ship was barren and devoid of energy. Meals were taken in near-silence, none of them wanting to venture beyond small talk. Even Guss had lost his usual spark, refraining from his typically bizarre stories that kept the crew amused on long journeys.
Ticcer hadn't been seen for hours, retreating to his quarters before the ship had even got off the ground. It had been an unspoken agreement among the rest of them that he wasn't to be disturbed. But someone had to break the silence eventually, and that someone had to be her. Bracing herself, she knocked at the door of his quarters. No response. She tried calling his name, but still got nothing back. She was on the brink of giving up when to her surprise, the door finally opened.
He lay perfectly still on the bed, eyes fixed upon the ceiling, with no acknowledgement of her entry to the room at all. He still wore his clothes from Tatooine, not even bothering to remove his boots or take the guns out from the holsters at his hips. It couldn't have been comfortable, but he didn't seem to care. The charm and presence that normally filled a room had been replaced by little more than a shell.
She removed her coat and lay down beside him, placing the most careful of kisses on his cheek. He tensed for a second at the contact, but soon pulled her closer and took her hand in his. His clasp was firm, needing, like he couldn't let her go.
“They've played me for a fool, Rish. All this time, they were just using me,” he croaked, the small voice miles away from the brash, cocky smuggler captain he presented to others. Words usually came so easily to her, but in this moment none were right. He'd never been this way in front of her before, so raw, so vulnerable. They were normally so playful when they spoke, even in a serious conversation, but none of that suited now.
“I can't say something that will make things better,” she sighed. “But I do know you won't let them beat you without a fight.” She cursed the clichéd words of inspiration, that she didn't have something better to offer. He said nothing else, just stroked the back of her hand with his thumb and shifted his stare to where their hands met. Hours could have passed, or perhaps it was only a few minutes before he broke the silence again.
“You being here...it's enough.”
There was no use pushing him further. If he wanted to speak, he would, and she promised herself that she would be there to listen when that moment came.
And if lying here now could ease just a fraction of his pain, she would do that too for as long as he needed.
* * * * * * * *
She hadn't realised she'd fallen asleep until the ship's alarms bleated out, signalling their impending arrival to Corellia. She had to flex her neck after resting on his chest for so long, but he sprung into life straight away like a fresh wind was powering through him. He charged through the ship, startling the crew with the sudden burst of energy, dishing out instructions and barking at them to gather their guns and gear for the fight ahead. He was a general readying his troops for battle, only this was no military fight. This war was one fuelled by revenge and personal pride only.
The rest of the crew descended the ship's ramp, but a hand on her arm stopped her before she could follow.
“Hey,” he said softly, pausing as pale blue eyes met her brown. “Thank you.”
The stare lingered, filled with truth even as the words went unspoken.
“I know.”

♡ & ♥ for Ticcer? :)
thank you!
A romantic headcanon
Early days in Ticcer and Risha’s relationship, once they’ve decided that yes they are actually a couple, Ticcer’s very much feeling like he must impress Risha because wow he’s actually met someone he’s crazy about! And oh god she’s literally royalty, I have to be super classy but what does that even mean. First date he takes her to somewhere very expensive, but also, it’s still Nar Shaddaa. He searches the holonet for posh dates and doesn’t know that half of this is really over-excessive, just thinking oh yes this must be the norm in high society. Long thranta rides over the mountains of Alderaan, getting himself overdressed for the occasion, things like this. After three or four dates like this like this Risha eventually asks him what’s going on and drags him off for an evening conning people on sabacc tables and dirty dancing in a cantina.
A family headcanon
Risha wants kids, wants to make sure there are heirs to the throne for one thing. And Ticcer likes children, he’s definitely a big softie because whenever there’s a kid involved during a job his heartstrings are pulled straight away and he’s instantly a much kinder, selfless person. But he’s very apprehensive about the idea of becoming a father though because he thinks he’d be really bad at it and scarred over letting down his sister, so first he has to work through that. Eventually they have three kids together, they are known as the Voidpups, it is chaos.

Fluffy OTP Asks: 4. Who initiates the forehead touch™?
thanks guys! @greyias @blueburds
so the touch™ gives me feelings so here’s for a few...
Yalla’ra and Theron - it’s definitely Theron, partly because of the height difference that makes it difficult for her to actually reach to initiate a forehead touch, she’s already stretching to reach to kiss him so he needs to duck down... It happens quite often after they share a kiss as well, a little extra moment to share with a smile
Ticcer would initiate the touch with Risha, he’s actually really soft and tender with her despite the fact that he’s cocky and doesn’t shut up most of the time when out and about. Brings his forehead to hers, brings a hand up to her face, can be very smooth.
Kaetos would initiate - once they settle they are quite physically affectionate and in fairness, is the type to do it with friends around their height as well, always with a big smile on their face as they do. Emyr is the perfect height, Vette is like a foot shorter, but that doesn’t mean they can’t pick her up as well.

Are you kidding me?
Fill 8 for fictober!
Prompt number: 24
Fandom: Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR)
Rating: T
Warnings/Tags: Canon-typical violence, gore.
Summary: Ticcer learns that blowing up a Hutt may not be the best way to make friends.
The grenade floated in the air, as if time itself had slowed as it made its perfect arc from Ticcer’s hand into the gaping mouth of Raskurro. As though they all knew exactly what was about to happen, but were powerless to stop it. Risha and Vaz turned away, trying their best to shield themselves from what they knew was about to happen. But Ticcer remained still, staring with a childish wonder, apparently fascinated by the inevitable conclusion about to come when a grenade went off inside a Hutt.
Raskurro exploded in a glorious burst of colour, full of greens and golds, pinks and blues. Layers upon layers of thick gunge and goo covered every surface of the room, clinging to skin and fur and seeping through clothes. And then came the stench; the kind that caught in the throat and made the eyes water but that was impossible to avoid, the kind that would haunt them for weeks. This would take hours to clean away, even under the most powerful of sonic showers.
“Euuugghh. Are you kidding me?” Ticcer groaned, shaking at his arms to try and get rid of any loose clumps of slime.
“Well what did you think would happen?” snapped Risha. Even though Ticcer had born the brunt of the explosion, plenty of the mess had found its way onto her clothing and caught itself in her perfectly styled hair. Oh, he was in trouble.
“I don’t know, I wasn’t really thinking of that when I threw it!”
“Really? I hadn’t guessed,” came Risha’s exasperated retort.
He was saved by the clunk of Vaz Traniff’s approaching boots, though given the look on the burly Cathar’s face, perhaps saved wasn’t quite the right word. The two of them should be thankful, he thought, surely one less Hutt to deal with is a good thing.
Based on the looks on both their faces, he somehow got the impression that excuse wasn’t going to fly.
“Let’s get moving,” grunted Vaz. “I’m first in the sonic. And don’t you dare sit down anywhere in my ship until I say so.” Yeah, it was hard to say he didn’t deserve that.
* * * * * * * *
Despite the inauspicious start to their partnership, the raid was a success. Well, ignoring the fact that the Voidwolf turned up to fire upon the ship, causing a frantic rush to escape before it blew. But a bit of drama was to be expected these days, it kept things interesting. And it was almost a nice change of pace for the imps to be turning fire on each other rather than on him, for once.
That Voidwolf was turning into more than a mere annoyance though. But it wasn’t like he was the only one who kept showing up to try and kill Ticcer; he was making a habit of finding enemies that were a bit harder to shake than the average spacer. Unfortunately it was all part of the job, and the better he got at it, the longer that list became. He could save the worrying for later. Now was time for the fun part: settling up the money, and celebrating. Any job where the imps came off worst was a job well done, after all.
“Well let’s split and then let’s split, know what I mean? Best not be hanging round here for too long,” said Vaz.
“Right. You take what you’ve earned, I take what I’ve earned, call it done?”
“Sounds fair to me. Well Captain. It’s been…a pleasure, for the most part.” Vaz avoided his eyes, the memory of the meeting with Raskurro still fresh despite going unspoken. “I can’t say we’ll be doing this again though.”
“…Yeah I don’t blame you there. Fly safe.”
Vaz gave a hasty nod before returning straight to his ship without pause, clearly in no mood to stick about. Ticcer was keen to do the same, but sadly there was still a bit of official business to deal with first. Oh, the struggles of being legitimate. Well, legitimate might have been an exaggeration. Even if he was technically working with a senator, he was determined not to be seen as a ‘respectable citizen’.
“Let’s go.” Risha tugged at his arm. “I’m sure the Senator will be desperate to see her favourite smuggler.”
“Come on, you know you’re my number one. I just can’t help that I’m so irresistible,” he winked back, giving a playful nudge at her shoulder as she rolled her eyes.
“Irrepressible more like. Don’t think I’ve forgotten the smell of Hutt goo.”
He winced, the thought alone still enough to raise a shudder. Unlike Vaz, she wasn’t holding back on this. “How long before you stop using that against me?”
“Until you next do something ridiculous,” she shrugged.
“Oh, so about five more minutes then.”
That managed to raise a smile at least. “Have some faith in yourself. Call it ten.”
“Deal.”
