[ 陆吾] 那日恰巧是五味使前往九重天向天帝汇报的日子呐喵! Nà rì qiàqiǎo shì wǔwèi shǐ qiánwǎng jiǔchóng tiān xiàng tiāndì huìbào de rìzi nà miāo! Coincidentally, that day was the day when the Envoy of Five Flavours had to depart for the Nine Layers of Heaven to report to the Celestial Emperor, nya!

(Apparently, 魂飞魄散 means to be terror-strickened. But I’m not sure if if they’re trying to play some sort of double meaning here and say that the brother’s soul was literally destroyed or if the story meant that Hu Geng’s brother was driven mad by terror instead.)

[鹄羹] 每每提及，心中沉痛，所以... Měiměi tí jí, xīnzhōng chéntòng, suǒyǐ... Whenever this is mentioned, my heart aches, so...

[Player] 抱歉! 原来是这样……我再也不提了! 你不要难过…… Bàoqiàn! Yuánlái shì zhèyàng……wǒ zài yě bù tíle! Nǐ bùyào nánguò…… Sorry! So it’s like this... I won't mention it again! Please don’t be upset...

[Narration] 鹄羹笑了笑，摇摇头…… Gǔ gēng xiàole xiào, yáo yáotóu…… Hu Geng smiles, shaking his head...

[Player] 易牙曾提到爹爹用不正当的手段夺取食神之位，那这自然也不能当真咯? Yì yá céng tí dào diēdiē yòng bù zhèngdàng de shǒuduàn duóqǔ shíshén zhī wèi, nà zhè zìrán yě bùnéng dàngzhēn gē? Yi Ya once mentioned that father used dishonest means to seize the God of Food position, naturally this can’t also be trusted?

[鹄羹] 伊挚大人光明磊落，又十分重感情，鹄羹不相信大人会做出违背良心之事。 Yī zhì dàrén guāngmínglěiluò, yòu shí fèn zhòng gǎnqíng, gǔ gēng bù xiāngxìn dàrén huì zuò chū wéibèi liángxīn zhī shì. [Narration] 呆呆地看着佛跳墙的脸, 脑袋一片空白…如此相似的场景…… Dāi dāi de kànzhe fútiàoqiáng de liǎn, nǎodai yīpiàn kòngbái…rúcǐ xiāngsì de chǎngjǐng…… Foolishly staring at Fo Tiao Qiang’s face, my mind blanking out...Such a familiar scene...

[Narration] 鸡茸金丝笋看我摔倒在地，于是连忙放下汤药，过来将我扶起-- Jī rōng jīn sī sǔn kàn wǒ shuāi dǎo zài dì, yúshì liánmáng fàngxià tāngyào, guòlái jiāng wǒ fú qǐ-- Ji Rong Jin Si Sun sees me falling down onto the ground, and puts down the medicinal soup at once, coming over to help me up--

[ 鄭春發] 當年官錢局宴謂布政使周蓮大人, 著大人內眷籌備宴席。我向夫人提議以紹興酒壇裝菜煨湯, 這才有了佛跳牆的原型。 Dāngnián guān qián jú yàn wèi bù zhèng shǐ zhōu lián dàrén,zhe dàrén nèijuàn chóubèi yànxí. Wǒ xiàng fūrén tíyì yǐ shàoxīngjiǔ tán zhuāng cài wēi tāng, zhè cái yǒule fútiàoqiáng de yuánxíng. A government official of finance bureau announced a banquet back then for provincial treasurer Master Zhou Lian, the banquet’s preparations were done by that master’s women in the household. I suggested to the madam to use Shao Xing wine jars to simmer the soup, and this was the prototype of Fo Tiao Qiang.

[ 鄭春發] 福公當時正是這宴席上的賓客。宴席後他將我尋來, 說要合夥開一家名湯福州的餐館, 就用佛跳牆做招牌菜。 Fú gōng dāngshí zhèng shì zhè yànxí shàng de bīnkè. Gùshì zhèngchūnfā yīqìzhīxià dúzì lái dào hé biān, zhèngdàng tā xīnhuāngyìluàn zhī shí, chūmiàn quànshuō tā de rén jìng shì-- 1-10.1 To meet one’s match. Story Zheng Chun Fa came to the river alone in a fit of fury, just as he was feeling flustered, the person who had persuaded him appears personally and is actually--

Dàn kàn zhèngchūnfā yǐ zhǎodào, xiān jiāng tā ānquán dài huí jù chūn yuàn cái shìzhèng shì-- Yi Ya and Hu Geng seem to be old acquaintances, the words of those two cause those around them to be at loss. Gùshì zhīfǔ dà rénshòu yàn dāngrì, jù chūn yuàn mén qián chēshuǐmǎlóng hǎobù rènào, yǔ jī rōng jīn sī sǔn yàn qián chàngtán, tā sìhū-- 1-7.1 Birthday Banquet of the Prefectural Magistrate .Story On the day of the Prefectural Magistrate’s birthday banquet, endless stream of horses and carriages in front of Ju Chun Yuan’s entrance are bustling with noise and excitement, chatting freely with Ji Rong Jin Si Sun before the banquet, he seems to be--

[知府仆从] (The Prefectural Magistrate‘s servant) 定是……定是大人爱民如子，百姓们都将大人时刻挂在心上，所以才…… Dìng shì……dìng shì dàrén àimín rú zǐ, bǎixìngmen dōu jiāng dàrén shíkè guà zàixīn shàng, suǒyǐ cái…… It must be because... [佛跳墙] 柳姑娘，又见画了。 Liǔ gūniáng, yòu jiàn huàle. Miss Liu, we meet again.

[鸡茸金丝笋] 音乐一响，就按照现在的队形一齐往大厅走，桌号都记清楚了么? 待会可不要走错beat呀! Yīnyuè yī xiǎng, jiù ànzhào xiànzài de duì xíng yīqí wǎng dàtīng zǒu, zhuō hào dōu jì qīngchǔle me? Dài huì kě bùyào zǒu cuò beat ya! Once the music starts, walk towards the hall according to the current formation at once, do you clearly remember the table numbers? Absolutely do not go on the wrong beat!

Ér wǒ zhàn dé bǐzhí, shuāngshǒu zài wéiqún shàng cèngle cèng, cháo tā lùchū yīgè tǎohǎo de xiàoróng…… Ji Rong Jin Si Sun shoots a glance at me while I stand nearby on the side. And I bolt upright, rubbing my hands on my apron, showing a fawning expression towards him...
