Concept Redesigns of The Dex Sisters parents, Emma Dex and Casper (fall) Dex! I love their new designs so much as it really reflects their character and story more! Casper has always held a special place in my heart but I didn��t really like Emma as I had her as a sort of partial antagonist with nothing more than being an overbearing mother.

In this redesign Emma has more personality going for her outside of being a mom; She is sentimental and clings to her past as a Toppat from her colour palette remaining constant with younger her to older. She holds herself in high regard and has always been quite straight lace growing up. Like her daughter Nicole she can be a bit of a loose canon in her emotions and tends to be unpredictable in stressful situations. The googles on her hat are the same googles Hazel wears as they were a gift to her, Jane has the jewel from Emma tie as a neckless and Nicole was let in on Emma’s secret of previously being a Toppat, the joys of a middle child.

In Caspers Redesign I wanted some hints to him being a rebel like Jane in his youth, yes casper was a delinquent in his youth. It’s what landed him working in the military. Chaos was his calling and trouble was his middle name its no wonder he ended up with Emma. He eventfully broke some of his bad habits during his time in the military mostly thanks to his co-pilot, Markus Aero. After his early retirement he meet Emma 2 years into his recovery becoming friends as Emma was recently grieving her best friend’s death, Heather Dove. Eventually friendship became romance and soon they married.

I love them both so much and was so happy to rework them to reflect their daughters and their daughters to reflect them! I hope you enjoy!

Oooo- fun! I myself can never have a beach episode as the sun would disintegrate me! But my beloved oc can!

The Dex family decides to go on a family vacation to a beach! Both Emma and Nicole are laying under the umbrella enjoying the atmosphere! Hazel is trying to build a sand castle but kids keep destroying it! Jane is in the water and is scaring people with paranoia by pretending to be shark. She watch jaws one time- Casper is being the most dad and lying in the sand. He does not burn so Emma is quite jealous of her husband but also happy he is enjoying himself!

I might draw this… maybe when I have time!

Since I'm SUPER bored and I don't exactly have a group chat to dump this on (and because I haven't had any really GOOD ideas for art recently...), I've decided to create a small prompt post for people to chat on and clog up my notifications (affectionate, btw). So I dub this prompt post:

THSC OC BEACH EPISODE!

Alignments don't matter in this scenario, we're going all in. The prompt starts at a beach party that starts about an hour before sunset and ends... pretty late. What does your OC do there? Do they eat all the food? Do they attempt to build sand castles in the dark? Do they tell ghost stories around the bonfire? Are they behind the grill or out on the water trying to find some ocean monsters or w/e?

Tomorrow I'll rb this again w/ my takes (maybe once I get off of work), but I wanted to post this as a fun little thing (and because, once again, I don't have a group chat to really dump this in...). And maybe if I get inspired, I'll doodle out a few scenarios that I like the most.

Hazel as a scientist would end up infected instantly or killed by other means. Sadly I love her but she not making it the first 24 hours.

Nicole survivors for a long while before other survivors take her out.

Jane would live and would not stop. She would only die via sacrificing herself to save people. She won’t allow any inflection to take hold.

Casper and Emma would bunker down in there home before eventually it being over run. I believe Emma would survive barely but Casper would die.

Yo Howler! Let me ask you something before I go to bed, idk if you have any Toppat oc but if you how would it react to this scene?

Emma is my only Toppat OC at the moment and she is retired so for this we’re pretending she isn’t! So here’s her reaction!

Emma’s POV:

She was heading to Records to file away a report when she heard the commotion. Arriving to the scene she notices a bit of group forming. Usually she be in a mood for gossip but not today.

“What is going on that is important enough to linger in the-” Stopping she notices one of the younger members, Nicole she believes. (She smiles often at the shared named of Nicole and her daughter Nicole, but that’s all the similarity they share.) Appears to be an animal hybrid of sort? Something in the rodent family is appears.

“Nicole?” Emma asks while she looks like Nicole their is still a chance of her being mistaken.

“Uh- yes?” Hearing Nicole’s unsure yes, Emma approaches the situation with a lighter tone one she would use with her own daughters.

“Are you alright dear? Forgive me if I am wrong, I believe you being a hybrid is a new development?” She can never know if something is a new trend nowadays or actually something serious.

“It- um… it was a prank by The Prankster, Joker and Toxic…I think am alright?” Emma, Trying her best not to frown at the lack of information. Though some information was better then none in her professional opinion.

“Ah, I see then. You’ll be like this a while but not permanent, yes?” It’s surprising but not uncommon for the trouble makers to try and play a joke on clan members. Pranks like this in her days were never tolerated but it’s the new generation and they’re the next ones in line. It’s quite disappointing. Such a shame none of her own wanted to follow the family line but with Casper and her own daughters passions she still proud of them.

“Um… Yeah, witch is working on a potion to turn me back.” She stopped her self from frowning at the interruption of her thoughts and gave one of her smiles. Really looking at Nicole she can see the cuteness in her hybrid transformation, though she won’t be as cute as any of her daughters.

“Good, try not to let any of the trouble makers get to you.” Smiling more to herself then at Nicole, Emma walks away after all she still needs to file a report.

Emma Dex is the Dex sisters mother! She retired just before Reginald Copperbottom regain and became a family woman after falling in love with Casper Fall a retired pilot. Emma loves each of her daughters and has a scrapbook of all their accomplishments with dates and everything, even went out her way to change Janes name to Jane after she came out in her scrapbook. Emma Dex is Nicoles inspiration for becoming a business CEO as to her children she was a woman of business before retiring. Only later does Nicole find out but thats another story ;)

Scene:

Emma heard what happen. Keeping tabs on the clan even after her departure was a must so hearing about a younger member collapsing is quite uncommon but she remember the days before the airship; death by poison or other substances was an occurrence. Apparently though it’s was a medical issue, knowing that made her thankful none of her daughters had any issues. Even Jane transition went so smooth it was like a key finding it’s lock. Her Husband on the other hand who has suffer many medical issues made her sympathize with Nicole. The clan will take care of Nicole just as they did her after all she has dinner to cook for two.

Emma Dex - Retired Toppat

Casper Dex - former Pilot [Retired]

Hazel Dex - Freelance Engineer 

Nicole Dex - CEO of Dex industries (Known for scientific research on chaos)

Jane Dex - Government sniper

Emma Dex - She is a very strict person and has a slight temper that's been tamed through the years. Her straight to business attitude along with her stubbornness makes her a great negotiator. She worked in stealth missions and recon for a long time making her great at blackmail and fraud. She can sneak into anywhere and has a silent step. Often scaring her husband but the years of retirement has helped her regain some sound back. Emma worked with the Toppats after starting her family but a risky mission caused Emma to evaluate her future choosing her husband and Hazel over the clan. She retired and received a party and goodbye by the clan as she hung up her hat and title as Majesty. Later having Nicole and Jane. Hazel was given her goggles, Nicole inherited her reputation becoming Madam Chaos, and Jane was given her skills. The Dex family has immunity from the Toppat clan and should not be threatened, mained or killed by any members the contract was made during Emma’s retirement in case it ever happened, the consequences written in the contract was immediate exile from the Toppat clan. Emma was known as the Queen of Secrets within the Clan for a reason.

Casper Dex - He is laid back and is very humorous with his jokes. He tends to take his time and has a joke tone about everything. During his younger years he was known to cause mischief and even trespassing and breaking an entering. He was well known in the police department before joining up with the government. He became the youngest special corporate pilot with his best friend. Then his helicopter during a transfer of military personnel was taken over by some sort of virus or person, leading to a battle for control before Casper lost full control of the helicopter. It spiraled down into a rocky side cliff before falling to the bottom of a ravine. Only 3 survived the crash and only two of them made it through afterwards. Casper Dex and Lily Heather were the surviving victims of the crash, both have struggled with healing afterwards and both lost a lot. Casper met Emma 2 years after and both fell in love, later starting a family. Casper was very scared when his wife almost died during a work mission, he was glad she retired but he could tell it hurt her too. He convinced her to try and keep in contact with her old coworkers. Casper doesn’t know that they are Toppat hat clan members and that Emma was one.

Hazel Dex - Very shy and quiet, not one for conversation often but when she gets super talkative about her passions. Not very conversational and prefers to avoid conflict. She loved building and creating when she was younger and it carried off into her career choice to be an engineer. She was given her mothers goggles and wears when working with soldering wires and working with fire. She worked with Dr. Vinschpinsilstien or Dr. V for 5 years before they were both attacked and forced to work for their attackers for 2 months. Hazel refused to have that happen again and moved around Canada's arctic circle in the middle of nowhere. She spends most of her days busy with projects and preparing for the hour-long trip to and from the closest town for traveling to see her family or food runs. 

Nicole Dex - She is considered the devil incarcerated to many, they are known for her compassion for others and sweetness but the second she is crossed they are malicious and poisonous. She is the most understanding of her sisters but she is also the most deadly. Her Chaos power ‘Mayhem’ is the reason for their deadliness having a 0.7 chaos reading, it is also her investment in the Chaos Containment Centres that adds to the danger. That kind of power they have over them makes it easy to get rid of the more chaotic investors. She is not one many criminal organizations deal with most of the time it’s agreements to stay out of each other’s businesses. Nicole is Madam Chaos and it’s best not to experience why.

Jane Dex - She is a lone wolf through and through. She has anger issues and works through them on the battlefield. She heard the stories of those who fall on the battlefield and refuses to be one of the many. She is the most brutal and has a discipline record the size of a dictionary. She doesn’t consider herself a good person and believes the law is meant to be interpreted as a sort of guideline but not fact. Most criminals don’t engage with her on the battlefield as she has been known to go up against fusions. Her power ‘Paranoia’ can cause fighting to turn into survival. The higher the emotion of Jane the higher power till all that is left is one's instincts. In many files she has a ‘do not engage’ unless chaos energy is above a 6.0. She has been known to be civil but it's always a risk to try with Jane.
