I did a massive closet clean out this past week. After 5+ years of working in retail management, I’ve accumulated a ton of clothes to where I hardly wear the same thing twice. I can’t believe how many items I don’t wear anymore and how many items were sitting in my closet unworn and with tags for more than a year. I started selling on @poshmark over the summer as a way for me to purge items I don’t want anymore and to give back to my community by doing my part in keeping clothes out of landfills. #Sustainability is key and frankly clothing don’t just disappear when you throw them out. They end up polluting our environment and harming our wildlife. This year, one of my resolutions is to live more sustainably, from reselling and thrifting more to buying products that help our environment rather than hurt it. That means I have to take the extra time to research and investigate products, but if it’s going to help us live on a cleaner planet, I’m all for it. •
