Any party was a good party, a place to connect and most of all, a place to celebrate, even if the thing in question was life itself. New Year Eve, an event unlike any other. Weddings were one thing, these types of annual things something else all together. It certainly had caused the blonde to turn into even more of a hawk, glancing around the room, scanning the crowd as though it held answers only Estelle could see. Every now and then she threw a nod one way, or another to greet the odd guest.

Until her eyes landed on a familiar figure that the former Slytherin wouldn’t mind bumping into. “Not one for leaving out a party, hm?” The witch moved over, leaning against a pillar next to the refreshments, a soft smirk on her lips. “Good to see you. For now.” Her words were playful, despite it all. “Anything interesting to be found?” Estelle had no doubt he would know what she meant.

“Oh, good. I was worried for a moment I may have to explain that one to you.” Estelle smirked. Not a single inch of her believed that the wizard needed explaining on that front. No, that would ruin his reputation and then some. Her head moved, almost scanning him for a moment before giving in with a shrug. “Getting drunk with you always ends in chaos.”

But it was New Year’s Eve. Truthfully it would have almost been a crime not to drink and celebrate. After all this was the party of parties. A Selwyn celebration that somehow seemed to have more in store. Either that or someone was trying to show off. Her hand reached out, tilting up his chin to observe. No doubt with someone like Nick the whole thing would turn into chaos. Perhaps that was the fun of it all. Estelle moved to offer her arm. “Alright. Lead the way.” - @nick-mulciber

"I know how sex works." Nick said, affronted. He did, he'd had sex before and everything. That was the fun part of it all. He didn't have to worry about the part his body had to create an entirely new functioning body.

That's right, he was going to have to be a dad some day. Now there's a terrifying thought best left for later. "Any more time thinking about impending children and I'll need like three drinks." He joked. "But I'll start with just one. Come on, Starlight. Let's get drunk."

Estelle could hardly put into words how amusing the sight was. Ever appearing confident from what she'd seen, it was almost chaotic - a mess in its own right - to see him so clearly overwhelmed by the idea of future generations in the making. "Now," she leaned against him for a moment before allowing herself to lean back so she could look at him better. "don't tell me I have to explain how this works to you. Surely you know better than that." The blonde chuckled. Not that she'd have actually sat down to discuss those details at a New Year's party. There was a time and place for everything.

"Things happen when they happen. Nothing more to be done about it. I suppose you'll find out, one day?" It was a simply notion. Not everyone would, not everyone wanted to follow down that path. "Come on, lets get you a drink. Makes you worry less about the things you don't have to worry about." - @nick-mulciber

"Pregnancy is so goddamn weird." Nick said, looping an arm around her waist. Thank fuck that would never happen to him. Maybe some nebulous future wife he'd have to have some day, but not him. Growing a whole goddamn baby. And then Alecto would keep that baby, forever. And there were two of them in there. Wild.

"Soon these parties will have even more babies, Narcissa's pregnant too. Is it catching or something?" At least he could imagine Narcissa and Lucius with children. Rabastan? Alecto? Clearly it was happening but it didn't compute.

“Is that so?” If possible, the witch’s smirk grew, some warmth added to the mix as she allowed her eyes to roam the crowd. It was certainly an interesting bunch. For once limited to only the purest of pure, at least regarding blood, the blonde couldn’t help but feel comfortable surrounded by those she was. And perhaps there’d be some fun yet to be had.

At the nickname her eyes lit up, even if only for a moment before her expression was replaced with an amused look. “I’m all ears.” Estelle was always happy to cause some mischief. The mention of Alecto, though, was one that had her nodding. “Well, that is how those things go. Doubt it’ll be long now.” Time seemed to fly by, never taking a break with its relentless speed. - @nick-mulciber

Nick brightened upon seeing Estelle. They weren't dating any more and they hadn't been for ages but he still cared for the somewhat-Veela. "You know me, Starlight, I've never been one to miss a party." His words held honest warmth as he straightened up to greet her properly.

"It's looking far more interesting now that company's improved. Together it'll be far more fun. We can definitely make it worth attending. Did you see how pregnant Alecto's gotten? She's practically swallowed a globe."
