Beatriz had made herself join another local activity in town to get to know more people. And to reconnect with people that she had not seen since she left town all those years ago. She still felt like she had to walk on eggshells in town, knowing that she could run into Cami at any given moment, but at the local crafting evening, Bea was feeling a bit more at ease as she worked on one of the cross stitch patterns. "What are you working on?" Bea questioned Alina, giving the familiar brunette a smile as she did so.

Nazli set two glasses of wine down on the coffee table in front of the couch for her and her sister. "Have you and Ricky set a date, yet?" She questioned her sister, seemingly a question that she was asking more frequently the longer her sister was engaged. It wasn't that she wanted to rush them into marriage, but she was excited that her baby sister was happy. That was all that mattered to her. "I still can't get over how good of a job we did at picking out your ring," she teased, plopping down on the couch next to her.

"Let me see the ring," Aarin gushed as soon as she sat down across from Alina at the table, "hi, hello, you look gorgeous today, but let me see the ring," she quickly added in some greetings before a grin broke across her lips. After hearing that Alina had received her ring, Aarin had been dying to see it. Things had been better with Marcel and their wedding was back on for Valentine's Day, but she still found herself looking for a distraction in someone else's relationship as she continued to move on from the last few months.

"I still cannot believe you are going to be my sister." She grinned at Alina, looping her arm through the others, "You do not know how long I have waited to have a sister," she sighed, as if she truly had wished for one her entire life: dramatically. Genoveva loved growing up with Ricky and their mom but she did wonder from time to time what it would have been like if they had more siblings in their life. Now, she would have Alina as her sister-in-law. "Have you started thinking of where you want to have it?"

Nazli laughed with her sister's words, "I do know that saying," she confirmed to her sister with a shake of her head. She knew that saying all too well, having used it a time or two again. "They are changing so much faster than when I was a kid," at least it seemed that way. "I understand that," Nazli smiled brightly at her sister, whom she was very happy for. She remembered what it was like to fall in love with Andrew, even if it had not worked out the way either of them had thought it would. Or at least, the way she thought it would. "I don't think you'll jinx it, not if he is the one." She told her sister, "I am really happy for you, Alina, you deserve this." @alinaceyhan

"Well, you know they say about old dogs..." She smirked at her sister, but sometimes even she didn't know all the terms the middle schoolers were saying. She wondered if this was how their parents felt when they were young. "Just a bit. I'll be honest, I'm not too sure what the new one is." Alina laughed. "Trust me, it doesn't help. It changes all the time and just when you get one thing, another term comes up." She shook her head and relaxed a little. A blush filled her cheeks and she shrugged. "Yeah. I know it's fast since we just started dating, but... I've known him for years, you know? He's my best friend. I've had these feelings for years." Her heart skipped a beat. "I think so. I don't want to jinx it, though." @nazlixceyhan

"I hope that I have been," her and Lexi were closer than they were with the rest of the siblings. Though, that didn't mean either of them weren't close with the rest of the Fontenelle siblings, just all for different reasons. Lexi had been her rock since the day she was born and the years without her had been hard on the both of them. "That almost makes me want to test that theory," she was almost convinced by Alina's confident statement, but wasn't sure she would actually test it out. "That is freaky," she laughed, nodding her head, "I don't think I could ever be on board with that," she shivered with the eerie thought. "You two are probably the most adorable couple I've ever met, tied right up there with Lex and Hudson." @alinaceyhan

Alina nodded. "It really is." She loved how close she was to her siblings and couldn't imagine her life any other way. She knew Carmen felt the same, considering how many siblings the woman had. "God, I'm sure you've been a huge support for Lexi, right?" Alina asked, but felt like she already knew the answer. "Seriously? I'm certain you could ask anyone on the street and they'd jump at the chance to go with you." She chuckled, her tone light but sincere. Carmen was gorgeous and anyone would be lucky to have her by their side. "Oh, absolutely. I'm sure it happens all the time. What's really weird is when twins marry twins. That's on a whole other level of freaky." She laughed again. "Friends are always good. Maybe going solo is a blessing in disguise. Except for me. I'll be dancing the night away with Ricky by my side and I wouldn't have it any other way." She beamed at the thought, already picturing the fun they'd have together. @carmenxfontenelle

"Oh, the middle school," she smiled at Alina, "that has to be full of adventures all on its own." Bea teased as the other spoke. "Yeah," a laugh escaped her as she leaned back with Alina, "that could very well be us, but maybe that won't be so bad." It gave Bea something to look forward to, which she didn't think were possible. Her time in Kismet Harbor had been passing quickly and it was just beginning to feel like she might have a life here again. "They look like they're having fun." @alinaceyhan

She shook her head. "I don't. Actually, I work at the middle school as a school nurse. And the camp when it's opened." She explained to her. Sitting back to look at her work she smiled and nodded. "It definitely seems like we are." Alina's eyes went over to the women in the corner who were definitely drunk by now. "True. Though, give us a few years and we might be." She joked. @beatrizxsouza

"You'd think you would," she teased Alina, having not realized the other was a nurse. "You work at the hospital, then?" She hadn't seen her at the medical center, but it was likely that she could have missed her. "I know how you feel," Bea agreed with a small sigh passing over her lips, "but at least we seem to be getting somewhere on these crafts," she laughed softly, "we could be like those two in the corner, clearly just here for the wine," Bea suggested with a raise of her brows in the direction of the two she was talking about. @alinaceyhan

She laughed a little bit. "Good to know. I should start keeping some myself." Alina shook her head with a smile. Being a nurse, you'd think she would, but outside of work, she didn't tend to keep any on her. "I know." She looked around at the others doing their own things. "It makes me want to do so much and I feel I do so little when I'm not here. Hell, even when I'm here." @beatrizxsouza

"That's a plus, I do keep band-aids in my bag if you do end up jinxing yourself," she teased, though she had come prepared. As a physician's assistant, Bea was not without her own little first aid kit in her purse. She never knew when she might need it, honestly. "There's something about being around everyone else crafting, too," Bea admitted, "it makes me want to do it, where at home I think I might get too bored of the hobby." @alinaceyhan

Looking at Beatriz's finger, she shook her head. "Ouch. Exactly why I stopped doing it." She laughed a little. "Its definitely fun when you know what you're doing. I'm surprised I haven't cut myself on the tiles some how, but so far no blood as been shed." Alina put another piece down before she nodded. "Oh, I know. And I could easily do this at home, but I feel like I don't have time with everything else I want to do." @beatrizxsouza

"I am not without my injuries," she laughed, "this was from last week," she held up her hand with a band-aid on her finger, "it's so easy to get carried away in the therapeutic ways of doing this and poke yourself. It's one way to get drawn back into reality," she joked, shaking her head, "I might have to give that a try next time," she told Alina, "there are so many projects I want to do, that I haven't," though she had only been back a short while. @alinaceyhan

She turned her head a little. "Oh, I'm sure it would've." She laughed a bit while she looked back at the pieces and started putting more on to make the border. "It looks amazing if that helps. I always tend to poke my fingers and bleed onto whatever I'm making. It's why I thought something like this would be way better." And so far it was, minus the struggle she just had. @beatrizxsouza

Nazli's eyebrows show up in a playful surprise, her lips curling into a smile as she did so. "So now you want to make it official, huh?" She was only teasing her sister, heart racing with the excitement of the offer she just received. "I've only been waiting my whole life for this moment." She reached out, giving her sister's hand a squeeze, "Of course I'll be your maid of honor, like there was ever any doubt." Her smile softened with her words, "I'm honored, Alina. I'll do anything to make your day perfect like you deserve." @alinaceyhan

She laughed a little bit. "The second I know anything, I'll call you first." After all, Nazli was probably going to be her maid of honor. Maybe she should just ask her now and get that over with. "It will be. With the flowers." She said dreamily and grinned at her older sister. "We will. We'll do it all soon, I promise." She assured her. "Speaking of, though, does this mean you'll be my maid of honor?" @nazlixceyhan

"I'm sure you would have," Aarin knew that feeling all too well. She would have graciously accepted any version of a ring from Marcel when he proposed. She loved him that much. "Yeah, we did push the wedding to Valentine's Day," she told Alina, "might as well make it our official anniversary date since that is when we got engaged." It was almost hard to believe that they were coming up on an engagement a year ago. "It should be a really special night. You and Ricky are still coming, right?" Shifting through the reservations since the postponement had been a challenge to say the least. @alinaceyhan

"Isn't it?" She grinned and looked at it herself for a moment like she did often. "Exactly. I would've been happy with the plastic water bottle ring he proposed with first, but he did great on this ring." Alina smiled more and put her hand down at her side. "I definitely am. I feel I will be forever. How is everything going wedding wise? You guys are getting married on Valentine's Day, right?" @aarinxduskin

"Oh yes, that sounds like it," she told Alina, "it will be totally perfect for the two of you." And she loved that for them, honestly. "Wherever you end up getting married or when, it'll be perfect for the both of you." What other people thought didn't really matter, even if it seemed like it did. "Yeah, no, I'm good," she smiled at Alina, "I really can't complain," and she couldn't. "Work has been going well, the joys of living in a place like Kismet," she told Alina, "I've gotten all my shopping done for the upcoming holidays, too, so I feel like the rest of the year will be relaxing," she smiled, "at least, that's what I can hope. The holidays are always chaotic no matter how much you prepare for them." @alinaceyhan

Smiling, she found herself completely happy that Genoveva was happy for her and Ricky. Having that support meant so much to her. "I think so. Especially with how much I love plants, I think it'd be the perfect place for Ricky and I." Maybe during the spring, but she wasn't sure if they wanted to get married so soon unless they waited a year. "We definitely do. It's going to be perfect." She smiled over at Gen. "How are you doing, though? How's things going?" @genovevaxmarrero

"Hey, it's not problem," she smiled at Alina before laughing, "no, I don't think it would have taken you days," she assured the other, "maybe just a few more hours." Beatriz managed a joke, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "It's coming along," she smiled at the cross stitch she was working on, "it's much more tedious than I remember it being and my patience isn't as strong. Well, it's never been that strong." @alinaceyhan

She kept staring at it and nodded before watching what Beatriz did and saw the whole thing transform into just how she was thinking it would look. "Oh, my god. Yes. Thank you so much." She smiled and put some more of the outer pieces on the board. "That would've taken me days to figure out." She laughed a little. "Your project seems to be working out, though." @beatrizxsouza

"Please, just because I am over thirty," she teased her younger sister, as it was only by two years, "doesn't mean I'm incapable of learning, but clearly a little slow if you are saying this is an old term," the mere thought still brought a laugh from Nazli. "It's because I work at the pre-school, there is not a lot of learning that comes from them. I really should have gone to work at the high school or something," Nazli continued to tease, "Wh- that you love each other?" Her previous train of thought was immediately derailed, "Does this mean he's the one for you?" She couldn't help but question with a raise of her brows. @alinaceyhan

"I know, I know." She laughed and shook her head as she relaxed back a little. Her eyes went to her sister and she laughed again. "Low key, huh? Learning all the old terms now." Alina teased a little bit. Her grin increased and she looked back at the water. "He's amazing. I mean, I knew it before, but he's just proving himself to be more and more amazing. We told each other we loved each other the other day." @nazlixceyhan

Her eyes lit up the moment that Alina held out her hand to reveal the ring. "Oh wow, it's absolutely stunning," there was no doubt about that. Aarin admired the sparkle of the gem resting on the other woman's finger, "The ring definitely helps but it's the thought that behind it that really counts. He's got great taste," she complimented Alina with a grin. "You really must be over the moon. I swear, I was in a state of complete bliss for weeks after Marcel and I got engaged," and that bliss was beginning to come back as they moved through their rocky road. "You've just got a glow about you." @alinaceyhan

Alina laughed softly as she saw her friend and instantly put her hand out. She had been so happy to show off the ring. She had been the same when Aarin got engaged and it was only fair to show it off now that the roles were reverse. Well, to a degree. "Thank you. The ring helps." She joked a little with a laugh. "He did amazing, didn't he? It's so perfect." @aarinxduskin
