( ANDY BIERSACK. THIRTY. CIS MALE. HE/HIM. ) in texas, KALEN LANDRY is known to most as FANG. they have been riding with the diablos for THEIR WHOLE LIFE. they originally from NEWTON and the TAIL GUNNER is known to be very DOUBTFUL & PASSIVE  but the other club members will tell you they are PROTECTIVE & FEARLESS. as the years go by, they’ve gained a lot of respect in the club and around town. they rarely ever drive a car but when they do IN THE END by LINKIN PARK is usually heard blasting. ( PALE SKIN COVERED IN TATTOOS, FINGERLESS BLACK GLOVES, THE HUM OF MUSIC FROM OUTSIDE A NIGHTCLUB, SMOKING IN AN ALLEY, POLICE SIRENS IN THE DISTANCE. )
trigger warnings; sexual & physical assault mentions.
his childhood was fairly normal; born to a hair dresser and an accountant, he was the first of three with his brother and sister following after him, layla and drew. their family was tight-knit, and shared a lot with each other. one of these moments being when his sister came to him in confidence, with a single phonecall, asking him to pick her up form a party where some guy hadn’t stopped despite her protests. she never told him who the guy was, and out of their whole family, kalen was the only one whom she told, but his already protective nature just grew from there.
while his sister went off to become a doctor, and moved out of state, his brother got off on an athletic scholarship which took him to UofT in Austin. his parents moved out of straton county when he was around twenty two years old, and though he keeps contact with all of them, it’s now just him. in town.
he earned the nickname fang when he was around nineteen and got his neck tattoo; batman as a vampire with bloody fangs. of course, he has a plethora of tattoos all over his body but this one sticks out for obvious reasons.
kalen has always been the cool, calm and collected type. he doesn’t have much of a temper, and never really got into many fights. motorcycles had always intrigued him, and with his blood family moving away, he thought that the diablos could become a close second, so he joined. it didn’t take him long to move up the ranks from prospect to rider, to tail gunner. he also got a job being security for deseo for a little while, which is where the trouble happened.
it was later in a shift when he stepped out of the club for a cigarette. general chatter was heard outside but about half way through the dart, he heard a female’s voice raising, followed by some hushing. rounding the corner of the building, he notice some old (clearly intoxicated) customer forcing himself on one of the girls. even if the same thing had not happened to his sister, he would have defended this girl. but all he saw was layla. he never had a temper, but his savage heart and fierce need to protect took over. his fists were bloody when he was finally yanked off the man.
a murder charge hung over his head while the man laid in a hospital bed. it was nearing a week after that night that the stranger woke up, and kalen’s potential murder charge shrunk into assault and battery. what could have been a life sentence was now seven years.
he got out in five on good behaviour. he didn’t act out, he kept his head down while inside, and he did his duties. now, he is back to newton and the club, fresh out of prison.
despite being covered in tattoos and generally looking intimidating, the prison sentence and his over all preceding reputation, he is actually a pretty nice guy. he never wanted to spill blood, he never wanted to even fight when he didn’t need to. he sure as hell didn’t want to (nearly) kill anyone. he has a good heart and a stable head on his shoulders. he can kind of come off as otherwise because he can sometimes be a little quiet and just linger about, and the fact that he doesn’t try to correct anyone who mentions him being a bad guy or anything along those lines, because he doesn’t see the point? the people who matter (the club) know the truth about what happened, as does his family.
