Once Hyacinth had gone with Robert, Aidan turned his attention to Felicity. He spoke and charmed, listened and soothed, working her slowly but surely over the course of half an hour from ire to intrigue. He had her metaphorically eating out of the palm of his hand, and before the hour was out, he had what he wanted. Investment, into a shell company that wouldn’t deliver the returns he’d promised to her. By the time Felicity would realise, if she ever did at all, Aidan would be long gone. Buoyed by the thought, basking in secret victory, Aidan caught Hyacinth’s glance from across the room. He gave her a slight nod, indicating he wanted her to return with Robert, bookending the encounter to make Felicity focus on her husband again rather than any questions she might think of about his investment. And, above even that, Aidan wanted to start thinking about his night of indulgence with Hyacinth.
@lustsfuls
HYACINTH WAS A NATURAL WHEN it came to flirtation and seduction. charming the older man and distracting him had been easy. the attention towards her clearly ignited envy from felicity. that would be the opportunity for aidan to step in and woo the neglected wife. she glanced at her partner-in-crime one last time and caught the knowing look. and then she turned her full attention back to robert as he gave her a tour, complimenting him at every opportunity, and giggling whenever he told a joke. subtle, teasing touches here and there to keep him excited. she let him do all the talking, teaching her about something whenever he could. she feigned interest and asked questions, knowing how much men loved when they knew more than their counterparts. she kept him entertained for as long as she could, waiting for aidan to signal his completion, ready to return once he did.

Aidan had to suppress a grin when Hyacinth subtly and seamlessly gave Robert an opportunity to take her away for a tour of the grand venue. From his position beside the three of them, he easily saw Robert’s eyes light up with possibility whilst Felicity’s narrowed in envy. Sensing his moment for the kill, Aidan gently touched Felicity’s forearm, spurring her attention back to him. Subtlety was a fine weapon for a con artist, so rather than switch to talking about money right away, Aidan focused on her attire and jewellery, identifying designers and praising her look. Charm worked concurrently with subtlety for him, and even as he saw Hyacinth begin to head off with Robert out of the corner of his eye, Aidan knew he could make sure Felicity thought about him nearly as much as her husband throughout the next hour or so. Regardless of the balance, he was confident she wouldn’t consider his eventual switch to investment suspect. As Aidan once again game-planned how to slip it into conversation in his head, he threw a final, knowing look towards Hyacinth.

HYACINTH MAY NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE in aidan‘s field, but she had the charm and the confidence. people had a way of picking up genuine confidence that one projected. she smiled, giving his cheek one last pat as they proceeded to approach their target. his hand settling at the small of her back, she leaned into his touch. reaching the older couple, hyacinth flashed her billion dollar-smile, baring her dimples. ❝a pleasant evening. i‘m hyacinth,❞ she greeted. ❝i didn‘t expect that my darling knows such a ravishing couple.❞ she addressed the older pair. her presence roused different reactions; envy from the woman and lust from the man. perfect. this was exactly what they intended. to throw the wife off her game and enchant the husband. it was effortless for a nubile young woman like herself. on cue, she focsed her attention on the older man, letting aidan work work his own magic while she kept the husband distracted. ❝i‘ve arrived a bit late. i haven‘t gotten the chance to explore place,❞ she remarked to bait him to give her a tour. with how taken he was with her, he was eager to offer it to her. she stole a quick glance at aidan, seeing how he progressed.

The traces of a smirk crept onto Aidan’s lips when Hyacinth cupped his face and stroked his cheek like they were a couple. He had to admit that even he wouldn’t have thought of such an intimate yet unexpected way of selling their cover story. “Why thank you, darling,” he murmured mere moments after she’d wished him good luck. Aidan guided her towards an older couple with his hand on the small of her back. They were in their fifties, and as they approached, Aidan could see the male of the two ravishing Hyacinth with his eyes. The woman looked at her, too, but with a glint of suspicion and envy about her gaze. Good. It was precisely what Aidan wanted. She was his mark, not the man. “Felicity. Robert. Wonderful to see you,” Aidan greeted once they reached the pair. “Let me introduce you to Hyacinth, my date for the evening,” he added, allowing Hyacinth to take centre stage briefly whilst he looked at Felicity for her reaction. Ever the predictive manipulator, Aidan knew that a hot younger woman would throw Felicity off her game, especially when her notorious husband thirsted so evidently. With her walls down, Aidan could use his silver tongue to get past the last of her defences and into her bank account. All Hyacinth had to do was keep being the gorgeous diversion.

HYACINTH ENJOYED GRAND GATHERINGS. IT was an opportunity to get attention and network connections. she had a natural talent for both, which got her (sort of) far in life. whatever aidan needed, she was ready to do his bidding. their entrance garnered attention as heads turned towards them. she leaned into him, feeling his hand on the small of her back. she sashayed beside him, their steps in sync as they made their way to the ballroom. the distance closed between them, and she inhaled sharply, briefly distracted by those lips of his on her jaw. she imagined how his mouth would feel on her skin and all over body. it took a while for her to snap out of it. they had work to do, she reminded herself. ❝i‘m ready.❞ she cupped his face and stroked his cheek to go through with their act as a couple. ❝got it.❞ she regained her composure when he pulled away, remembering their plan. ❝deal. good luck, darling.❞

A slight smirk had crept onto Aidan’s lips as they left, spurred by their playful banter. Although, by the time they arrived at the venue, his expression was all business. Aidan was a consummate professional, first and foremost, even as his mind occasionally jumped ahead to undressing and worshipping Hyacinth later that night. As they entered the gala, heads turned towards them, and Aidan knew his plan had already worked. He kept his hand on the small of Hycainth’s back, their steps in sync as they walked through the ornate, expansive ballroom. “Ready for our plan?” he murmured as he leaned in, words low and husky, coming right before he pressed his lips gently to Hyacinth’s jaw, part of the act that they were a couple. "I'll make the introductions, you dazzle them, and I'll get to work," he added just before pulling away and meeting her gaze again. "Deal?"
@lustsfuls
HYACINTH COULDN'T IGNORE THE FACT that aidan was dashingly handsome. there was no doubt that his scheme would succeed. he had the looks and the charisma. any woman would fall at his feet, and though she hid it well, she was no exception. she fixed his tie and flattened her palm against his chest, smoothening any crease on his suit. ❝i'm sure you are.❞ she sensed the double entendre in his statement. the promise of him giving her a proper apology later with the understanding that it would be more than that. ❝more is better than less. i look forward to it.❞ she batted her lashes at him, her eyes lighting up in excitement. taking the arm aidan offered, she giggled at the compliment. ❝i'm not the only one who'll have that kind of effect.❞ she stood beside him as they readied to leave.

For the first time that night, Aidan smirked when Hyacinth told him he didn’t look so bad himself. His gaze remained on hers as he stood before her, and despite his height advantage over the blonde, Aidan knew she held the advantage. Nevertheless, Aidan was fine with that, and he remained contently where he stood as Hyacinth made a point of adjusting his bow tie. The smirk returned to his lips when Hyacinth agreed he could escort her home and give her a proper ‘apology’ once they were there. “I’m very grateful,” he murmured, adding, “And, of course, I’ll be suitably apologetic. Overly so, in fact…” Opting to leave it there for the moment, always loving foreplay in advance no matter how the pay-off might be hours away, Aidan instead smirked and offered his arm for Hyacinth to take. “Shall we?” he asked. “I’m sure everybody there will be captivated by the sight of you when we walk in.”
@lustsfuls
HYACINTH WAS DETERMINED TO BE right in the argument. but thankfully, aidan didn't go further, ending their petty debate. the blonde focused on the finishing touches, detecting his scrutiny while she did so. she felt a little smug, knowing what that look meant. preparing extensively and dolling up for the night was very worth it.
❝sure you can. you don't look so bad yourself.❞ she stood over him and pulled him up to rise from the bed. giving him a once-over—just to reciprocate his gaze—her hand reached out to fix his slightly crooked tie. her lips curled into a smile of amusement at his offer. ❝yes, you may,❞ she accepted. what a gentleman. perhaps he had a ulterior motive, but she couldn't care less about it. whatever he had in mind, she most likely shared the same naughty thoughts. ❝you look regretful, and i'm soft-hearted, so i'll accept your proper apology,❞ she quipped playfully and stepped back, green eyes glittering mischievously.

Aidan rolled his eyes again at Hyacinth’s sassy retort, but he knew there was no point arguing further when they were both so clearly set in their positions. Instead, he waited for her to finish, and as he did so, Aidan’s gaze kept returning to Hyacinth, alternating between her figure and her face, the male drinking in every beautiful inch. When Hyacinth turned to him and teased him about being distracted, Aidan smirked.
“I’m a professional. I can handle myself,” he told her, an element of playfulness about his tone nevertheless. With her coming to stand right before him, Aidan looked up at her, again taking a moment to admire her beauty before standing up when she tugged on his wrist. The motion allowed him to tower over her in return. Nodding when she told him about her heels, Aidan said, “After we’re done tonight, may I see you home safely?” Ever the gentleman, despite his criminal ways, Aidan wouldn’t dream of simply putting her in a taxi. Of course, he had his own nefarious motive lingering too, one which he didn’t bother hiding as he added, “And after I see you home, could I perhaps apologise properly for being so grumpy tonight?”
@lustsfuls
❝I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT you could do in two hours. what i'm doing right now is more important than whatever you could do in your two hours. plus, it's for your sake, and the success of your night depends on this,❞ hyacinth retorted sassily. deciding on which red shade she wanted, she put it on meticulously, blotting and layering her lipstick. she locked her whole makeup with a fixing spray afterwards. through the mirror, she noticed him scrutinize her figure.
once she was done with doing her makeup, she turned to face him, smiling smugly at his comment. ❝that means i'm doing a great job, then.❞ she flipped her hair. ❝don't let me distract you, you might not be able to do your job properly,❞ she teased. stepping forward, she moved to the edge of the bed, towered over him, and grabbed his cuffs, holding his wrist to pull him up. ❝i just have to put on my heels and then i'm ready to go.❞

“Two hours? The amount of things I could do in two hours…” Aidan retorted, his words trailing off. It didn’t take much thought for him to consider just what kind of criminal activities he could undertake in that time, not least robbing a place or seducing some victim to get into their beds and their wallets. Despite his complaints, Hyacinth was clearly unfazed and continued getting ready at her own pace. Aidan remained sitting on the edge of the bed, his focus alternating between his phone and Hyacinth whilst the wait went on.
As she appeared to be putting the finishing touches on her make-up, however, Aidan found his gaze moving towards her figure in the emerald dress. He noted how it complimented her form and how the colour worked with her blonde hair and the cosmetics she was applying. So, rather than quibble further about being fashionably late, Aidan said, “The danger with taking you tonight is that I might get too distracted to be on my guard, too…”
@lustsfuls
❝IT TAKES ABOUT TWO HOURS,❞ hyacinth answered pointedly. on average, it was only an hour, but she liked doing extra steps, which prolonged the process. she sensed the irritation and resignation in his voice, but she was unfazed, still continuing with her slow pace like before. she drew her eyeliner carefully, and then proceeded to apply her false lashes, blinking slowly. she did the other one, and looked at him through the mirror wen he sat on the bed.
❝yes, it's still a thing,❞ the blonde quipped. she was on the last step—lipstick—and she contemplated about the color that would match her look perfectly. she was going to go for red to complement her emerald dress, but which shade of red would be the question.

The incredulousness in Hyacinth’s tone made Aidan roll his eyes. “Seriously, how long does it take to put some makeup on? Surely not that much longer? You’ve been at it for ages already,” he fired back, irritation and resignation showing in equal measure within his tone. He sighed, too, moving over to sit on the edge of the king-size bed behind them, his position meaning Hyacinth could see him through the glass of the dresser mirror. Aidan looked at his watch, his mind considering her words about a late entrance. “Is fashionably late still a thing?” Aidan queried, his tone softer than before. Awaiting Hyacinth’s reply, Aidan began thinking of the possibilities, his mind on the job at hand, but his gaze lingered back towards her figure seated at the dresser.
@lustsfuls
HYACINTH KNEW HER ROLE VERY well. to be the perfect eye candy and serve as a distraction. she was used to it. she'd do anything for a generous amount of money. with this being her job, she had to bank on her looks, and she was good at it. it was easy for her. she could do it with one eye open, but there were times when she was in the mood to be extra. like now. she took her sweet time, enjoying the opportunity to pamper herself.
❝just a few minutes?❞ she repeated incredulously. the blonde was in the middle of applying her mascara and falsies. there was a single step left—putting on a lip liner and lipstick—but she'd need a little more than the time he assigned. ❝i don't know how long but longer than a few minutes,❞ she answered. ❝we don't need to be on time. being late will give us a chance to make an entrance.❞

Adorned in his finely tailored tuxedo, Aidan stopped pacing as soon as Hyacinth admonished him. He settled his gaze on hers, tension evident in his jawline and his brow furrowing. Just as he intended to speak, Hyacinth continued. With her second statement, Aidan had to admit she had a point. The whole reason for hiring someone to be his arm candy for the evening was so he could enact his illicit deeds, relying upon her being a distraction. The more stunning she was, the better the deception. And yet, Aidan also liked things to run to his timings and expectations. He needed to be in control, as all good con artists did. He had to balance his needs with Hyacinth's. Sighing as he recognised that, Aidan said, “Fine… how much longer do you think you’ll be? I can spare a few minutes, but we need to get downstairs sooner rather than later.”
@lustsfuls
❝WILL YOU PLEASE STOP COMPLAINING? if i don’t take my time getting ready, you’ll end up with an underdressed and non-presentable girlfriend,❞ hyacinth called out, watching the other pace around the room. she had enough listening to their lecture about tardiness. ❝if you wanted a simple girl to show off then you’ve come to the wrong person.❞ she was almost done with her makeup but it was tempting to prolong the process just to get on their nerves.
