PLOT DROP 07: EVEN SPRING. EVEN DEATH. trigger warnings for mentions of blood, medical equipment, murder, disappearances

Set like a blazing jewel in a pale blue March sky, the sun looks on as the river runs in wild drifts through the valley below. Winter has lost its bite; the sting of cold no longer quite so sharp. The first robins of the new year perch in the trees, weaving their song through the canopy. The snow is melting. Spring is here. The last few stragglers find themselves back in their human skin, the fur that got them through winter nowhere to be seen.

But as the wolves of Blackrock settle back into their human lives, it’s hard to look past the wreckage left by winter.

On March 14th, in the evening, HOLLY corners SYCAMORE in a dark corner of the Last Drop. HOLLY has noticed SYCAMORE’S penchant for trouble, and if CHESTNUT won’t turn up results, they’ll do the damn job themself. The conversation is tense – but SYCAMORE has an alibi for Addison’s disappearance: they were out in the woods, and they shot a wolf.

Unbeknownst to either of them, MAPLE overhears the conversation, and they put together the pieces immediately: whether knowingly or unknowingly, SYCAMORE killed Addison.

Across town, REED witnesses a last straggler making their way into the cover of the darkened forest. The two lock eyes for a brief moment, before the wolf makes its snarling escape; snout wet with blood. Someone else has been bitten… but who? And by whom?

When HICKORY arrives at work on March 15th, they find the veterinary clinic in a state of upheaval – trays of equipment scattered on the floor, papers strewn across the reception desk, and most upsetting of all, a trail of blood leading out of WALNUT’S office and into the alleyway out back. WALNUT cannot have gone far… but they are nowhere to be seen. Calling around reveals that the last person to have seen them is HAWTHORN a day earlier – but nothing was amiss.

At the same time, PINE and REDCEDAR arrive at Topping & Co. Bookstore to find the lights on in the backroom office before their shift has so much as started. Inside, they find a tall, strange stranger; a lost child of Blackrock come home to haunt it: ROWAN has inherited the store.

By noon March 16th, all of town has heard the dual news: WALNUT is missing, and ROWAN has returned. In the packhouse, a meeting is called: what do they do about SYCAMORE? And what about the stray wolves lingering in town still?

Citizens of New Eden,

I assure you, the complaints and concerns that you have been bringing to our attention are not going unheard. We understand that this is a sharp transition for all of us, none moreso than for the New Eden Police Department. Our officers and staff have been working night and day to maintain the safety of this city and we have been taking your feedback into account.

In response to the overcrowding issues at the correctional facilities around the city, we are implementing a new system that should hopefully alleviate such issues. In trying times such as these, we need all citizens to step up and help each other to ensure that our community is strong. Switches are already doing their part with the essential work they provide for the city’s infrastructure. Now, we ask that of our Dominant population to do so as well. Part of this includes the punishment mandate issued several days ago. By Dominants doing their part, this frees up government resources to invest into finding these terrorists so we all may go back to our lives.

As such, we have another large request to ask of our citizens. Any unclaimed submissives over the age of 18 will be assigned to a Dominant, with whom they will spend three days out of the week. We assure you that all claims and mock claims will be honored, so there will be no breaking of relationships in this mandate. During these three days, the Dominant will be responsible for administering the submissive’s weekly scene and maintenance punishment.

We understand that this is not an ideal solution, but we have ultimately found no other choice. We must humbly ask our citizens to help the government in this moment of history. The world’s eyes are on us. Let them see that we will not bow down to terrorism. We will not devolve into anarchy. We are New Eden, strong and proud. Let us show them what utopia really means.

ok twt released this thread where it shows a ton of met gala looks n lets go in2 opinions bc im bored n hungry (note: most of these r not taking in2 account the theme of the gala, which was “in2 america” or w/e, but i do mention it occ. i see it not as a requirement, but if they go w the theme in a specific or obvious way, it’s smth 2 note) (note2: this is only covering the ppl in the thread, not any others tht were omitted, bc there r apparently Others tht werent in the thread)

holy shit the absolutely dreamy looking pink gown on billie? beautiful. princess-like. loving the hazy look to the long train. could use some accessories/jewelry tho, methinks. but even w/o it, it’s a lovely dress.

harris reed... not a fan. i was willing 2 say it was Ok but i noticed the bottom half was, in fact, NOT dress layered w feather, but a sleek gold dress n then this weird sparse feather thing tht hangs over it n i went oh tht’s a no 4 me

j.lo’s outfit gives me pimp vibes im living 4 it. it radiates Power.

nas’ 1st outfit (the puffy gold 1) isnt all tht appealing 2 me... mayb if the puffy arm parts were replaced w smth tht jus draped from the shoulders or a mid-high collar 2 resemble a king’s cape but it looks a lil silly. 2nd outfit (gold suit) is p bold, i can dig it. not much 2 say on it bc it’s jus a gold suit of armor, ngl, but it’s not smth u see at a gala, so tht’s unique. 3rd outfit (gold bodysuit) was v pretty i like it.

grimes’ outfit honestly makes me think space warrior or smth n i rly like it? i dont typically like tht hairstyle, n the pattern on the outfit is still a lil eh, but i like the metallic mask n the makeup n the way the fabric drapes in gradient to black at the bottom. also a SWORD? is tht even allowed?? like, it apparently Was but surely they mustve got it checked out w met gala b4 bringing it, right? fun fact, it’s made from a melted AR-15, which kinda goes w the america theme, ironically enough. idk i rly dig this odd look.

love the dress n hair on lupita!! luv the glitter n overall shape tho n her hair!! is so pretty honestly. idk who this lady is but shes stunning.

frank ocean’s outfit is simple n ok BUT i dont the weird ugly robotic baby he was carrying. the outfit it had on too? like this... weird green patterned onesie or smth? UGLY as hell. at least chose a better onesie if ur gonna hav the weird baby prop... it doesnt even match w his outfit n the pattern is such a fucking ugly 1.

megan fox rly out here giving us devil mistress holy shit. it looks cool as all hell i luv it. hot as Hell, pun intended.

addison rae looks boring, im ngl :I the dress isnt all tht pretty n it’s kinda simple. like, not inherently ugly, per se (tho im not a v big fan of how it looks at the top of the dress) jus... feels basic.

ciara’s is football-themed, thus does matcht he theme 4 the event, america, n i do like the shade of green she used also glittery fabric n the shape of the dress near the bottom, but the parts to the side of the dress where it shows skin feel like they bring the look down, honestly... if it didnt hav them, it’d look better. but bc it has them, im not personally a big fan.

barbie ferreira is giving flapper vibes, n w the theme being america tht’s v fitting! lots n lots of pearls~ id say quite a few too Many pearls, as i wouldve preferred more fabric n stuff? but i can see what she was going for n i dont terribly dislike it! it’s ok.

kim’s outfit is ugly, end of story. dont try 2 go 4 so unique tht it looks awful. unique? yes. no1 wouldve expected tht, but it’s so...?? why cover ur face n everything else n then make it look so Odd i jus.. ew. no.

kendall on the other hand looks nice! draping jewels (esp diamonds or smth in tht whitish-grey sparkly color) n transparent fabrics r a classic tht’s used v often n the same applies here. looks nice! luv the way the jewels curve down.

ppl in the replies r calling olivia rodrigo’s outfit boring n while i can kinda agree, it doesnt look too terribly bad? i dig the outfit, esp the lace fishnet fabric. i think it’s p cute! but compared to all of these pretty gowns, yea it might b a bit underwhelming. not ugly tho!

ppl r rly ecstatic abt lorde’s outfit on the other hand, but i dont like it? the fabric reminds me of like, curved construction paper or tortillas n it jus feels p boring 2 me i dont like it at all :I

miss biles... it just is Not hitting. mayb if the puffy gray fabric didnt suddenly widen at the hips it’d still b a bit more acceptable, albeit still not great, but the texture on the grey, puffy, prob heavy fabric isnt great n is jus too like.. dense-looking i dont like it at all.

justin n hailey look boring. tht’s jus a normal black suit n black dress, bro. absolutely NOTHING special. i do like hailey’s dress, esp the neckline, but dear god theyre both jus so bland? no accessories? no nothing? tht’s jus a straight narrow black dress, hailey. tht’s jus a regular suit, justin. this is the Red Carpet.

gigi... nice hair n gloves n accessories (tho the necklace doesnt rly seem 2 match? it seems a bit golder) but the dress?? ugly. Ugly. i dont care if ppl r praising her in the twt replies. the stiff fabric of the bland, boring outer dress makes it all the fucking worse. like a cardboard roll only more flexible bc Fabric.

i like the red, white, n blue draping fabric on saweetie’s outfit, also it ties in w the ameria theme, but the rest of the outfit (or, as much as i can see bc her front is kinda obscured in the photo) jus.. isnt pretty.

i rly rly luv the dress on naomi, my word! the colors swirl rly nicely together, but i think the black part of the dress would b nicer if as a lower arm coat or smth instead of attached 2 the dress like how i think it is. also dont like her hairstyle, but i think it’s referencing smth cultural n has meaning tht i jus dont understand so! cant say much abt tht. the main dress part tho is rly nice.

chalamet is good until the converse gjhsdn why did he think.. tht converse (or shoes resembling them, as some1 in the replies said they might not actually b converse) would b red carpet appropriate. also the crotch of the pants shouldve been a bit higher imo cuz it looks like its a bit lower, like harem pants but not baggy or quite as low.

i luv the blue glitter gown on miss gorman! wow how glittery! n tht’s not sarcasm btw i genuinely luv glitter gjhsnd but it fits the america theme n is such a bright eye-popping color.

Here is justoneyesterdayrp’s first plot drop! Feel free to continue threads from before the plot drop, but starters from this point forward should take the plot drop into account! Please keep in mind that no characters were injured in this plot drop. Those injured or killed (listed below in italics) are all NPC’s. Have fun, and enjoy!

It has been a year since the commonwealth rose and the underground went into the bunker.

Below the ground, the group is going stir crazy, people lean on each other to stop themselves from letting cabin fever set in. They crave the sun, the breeze, rain, they miss running, jumping, being able to feel free. Not only this but people have started to notice their loved ones starting to disappear; THEO SAMUELS had noticed his twin sister Karen is gone, Gabriel Flanders here who slept beside JANE MERCER has also disappeared.

Unbeknownst to them, the leaders of the underground have started to take people in the dead of night and killed them before putting them upstairs in a storeroom to hide them from the rest of the community in an attempt to help keep supplies for longer. The group is slowly starting to thin out, but food is still an issue… but not the biggest issue.

It started a week ago, lying in their beds the group heard dragging, and scratching. They assumed it was just rats, who knew what else it could be. The sounds seemed to disappear rather quickly, but that night so did Frankie Roberts, and Henric Tameric. Each night more and more people have started to hear noises, as well as the sound of dripping. FAYE ADDISON and AMELIA SILVA even checked the plumbing, but there was no sign of any leaks. The noises continued, getting louder, becoming frequent to the point that people were not able to sleep anymore.

All hunched together as far away from the noises as possible, sleepless nights became sleepless days and by the third day the sound of far more leaks had began to appear around. It wasn’t until ALANNA CORREDOR found a way to block the noise for everyone that they were all able to close their eyes and rest. As they slept however, the roof began to crack and several people were killed by the collapse. Many woke, startled by the sound, to find infected pouring in from the roof above.

The first few to go were the leaders and those who slept close by. Everyone else led byJOSEPHINE HARPER toward the exit. REMI ADDISON brought up the back trying hard to fight off the infected that came toward them. What waited for them above ground was not what they expected to find.

At first glance, there is a natural splendor about The Commonwealth. From an outsiders’ perspective, it would appear as a well-oiled machine, each cog moved just as it should. There was plenty of food and supplies seemingly for all and due to the company kept,JAMES REED had made a major breakthrough. Much to the leaders’ delight, the scientist announced that he had finally deciphered the symptoms that ranged from early to late in regards to the infected. The news reached nearly everyone within the first hour.

For a moment, the people of The Commonwealth felt a sense of togetherness as they reclaimed a sliver of the power ripped from them when the disasters had first begun. However, seconds later, that very same sigh of relief would catch in their throats as more rules were declared in the moments since. There was an announcement made after most everyone had been brought to the COURTYARD where all citizens were informed of changes that would be made following the discovery made by the Commonwealth’s scientist.

First, one of the leaders spoke in all of their charismatic glory, to explain that health checks would be made on an individual basis. If the person in question ventured out into the deadliest regions, they would have to be subjected to a check every time they returned. They addressed the audience and continued on to explain how important the job was, that they were endlessly appreciative of their efforts. A scoff, a few muffled whispers were heard from the formed crowd which soon caused a hush to fall over everyone, their leader included. It was then that the leader nodded at no one in particular which caused RIVER GRAHAM & KENZIE TAYLOR to assemble those who worked as guards and law enforcement to gather up each of the supply runners and hunters for their first check.

Worry filled onlookers who were well aware of the conditions that both groups lived in, much of those who now knelt on the wet ground, as the rest of the crowd attempted to disperse, looked as though they were sickly. A few even fit the symptoms, though they might not actually have the infection that everyone lived in fear of but instead, perhaps, malnutrition and dehydration mixed with a lack of proper sleep.

If there hadn’t been whispers of an uprising then, there would be as many includingATHENA TREMBLAY, JESSE FLETCHER, QUINN MERANDUS & WHITTAKER SAXON were yanked from the ground and away towards MATTEO MILANO-THORN to be checked against their will, few fighting against those that held them. Many now diverted their eyes from the painful scene that had unfolded in front of their eyes. However, none of the Commonwealth’s soldiers would get too far as a shout for help rang out behind them.

The chaos suddenly stilled and the Commonwealth fell into an eerie silence as everyone stared at the head poking up from below the ground. The guards and law enforcement suddenly stopped what they were doing and pointed their gun at the hole where people were slowly coming out of. LUCKY JAMISON & SONNY MARALIT suddenly noticed each other, emotions welling inside of the pair of them, as SONNY MARALIT rushed forward begging to guards to stand down… it was them, it was those the commonwealth lost. Various higher ranked members of the community already had weapons raised around a large crowd of frantic, wide-eyed survivors that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. From a camouflaged entrance to the Underground. Hidden right in the middle of the Commonwealth. “Stand down.” The leaders called out, making the guards lower their weapons. The leaders ordered them to round up everyone from the tunnel, and put them in quarantine before they could even think of allowing any of them close to their servants… citizens.

The group only continued to grow and eventually, as hunters and supply runners were freed, everyone stood on either side of one another. TYLER CLARKE, JONAH MENARD, KALEN CROMWELL all began to round up the individuals to be taken to quarantine. Some in the higher tier felt worry begin to consume them as they considered the concept that they may have too many in the encampment to control. Others in the lower tiers smiled that night as they believed they finally had enough comrades for a war.
