are pokemon sentient enough that I could send my Scrafty to the store with a shopping list and money and he'd be allowed to shop by himself when he gets there
#i feel like they’d be able to if they’d seen you do this before#though some migbt have issues at first understanding the concept of money#food is free in the wild! trainer needs this! why us door beeping >:(#i imagine it’d be like sending a young child to go shop#they could do it with some struggles and people would find them very cute and help them a lot#but maybe view you as irresponsible or neglectful for sending them alone#like someone finds your scrafty struggling bc he cant read any signs and leads him where he needs to be#and the cashier is very patient and helps direct him which notes are the right amount to give her#maybe someone holds him uo to read smth high up#by the end he’s very proud and everyone is telling him what a good pokemon he is#for most pokemon i imagine this is just an ‘in an emergency’ thing bc you dont want them getting lost or stolen or attacked by wild pokemon#but i can see service pokemon being trained in stuff like this
