Of the transmigrators, who would be the most insane about holidays? And how would the disciples react to seeing their shizun going insane on an ostensibly random day?

Qi Qingqi, she used to be an influencer and she loved loved loved the holidays and loves decorating, giving and receiving gifts, she would decorate the entire mountain if let loose and allowed to run wild. During the month of December, she would turn the peak into a winter wonderland then throw a feast and gift giving session on new years eve (because she loves seeing ppls reactions)

(she's not celebrating Christmas but she just loves the vibes and looks of Christmas)

people usually held smaller celebrations for the new years so this wasn't really that jarring for the disciples, it was only when she brought out these strangely themed decorations that they started raising eyebrows

Horror's nightmare

Horror doesn't think much on his past anymore, but his nightmares often resurface the guilt he's buried about the idea that he could have prevented it all somehow, even if it came at the cost of his own life.

Thankfully, Nightmare is here to make him a hot drink to calm his nerves and promise him a visit to his brother when the sun is up, because Papyrus will always be very glad to see his brother alive and visiting (and as sleepy as ever).

The Came Back Wrong AU

After a conversation with @aroace-get-out-of-my-face, I started digging through my old art (and found a lot of things that I never posted but probably should, they came out nice) for the details of my Nightmare Ford au! I've also got a lot of notes on him in my Notes app, because, oh my gosh I love this au so much. I think part of the reason I was scare to share it all these months ago was because I was afraid BECAUSE he meant so much to me.

Ah, tangent side! The Nightmare!Ford au (is not about fnaf. the number of times I've heard that from me gf, istg-) is an AU where Ford never came across the refugee camp that he did in Canon, and instead, he had to survive for over 4-5 years in the Nightmare Realm, running from Bill and trying to find the means to leave. In the process, he ends up absorbing a lot of the residual energy in the Nightmare Realm and it manifests in a sort of 'static' that is constantly trying to both overflow out of him through his damaged eye (notice the scar) and act as a repellent for Bill!

Why does it act as a repellent for Bill, you might ask, and that is an excellent question! Here's where my headcanons come in.

The Nightmare Realm, being a place of chaos and unreality, is mostly influenced by energy rather than physics. Emotional, mental, any kind.

Bill is the most powerful being in the Nightmare Realm,and thus has the most influence over the environment

So say, if Bill associated the sound of static with danger, and the dimension weakening and collapsing, that's exactly what would happen

This also means that Ford, if he wants to be able to control Bills worst fear and also build himself a way out of the Realm, that's exactly what would happen. The NR literally weakened around Ford bc of Bills association with static = weakened dimension

I think you can see where this is heading. Ford slowly gains control over his powers of the Realm, but loses parts of his humanity in the process. (Like his memories) (by the end, he doesn't remember how he got in the NR, only that he needed to leave and destroy Bill)

For obvious reasons, that made his return trip home all the more interesting

I need to talk about Minecraft AU for a sec and how the difference between our world and their world makes for some of the most humorous but also interesting differences in how people act about certain subjects.

Like the trans thing right. Steve and Rana are both trans I've talked about that before. And neither of them are on hormone replacement or anything (there is an in universe explanation as to why Steve has a beard though I promise I can talk about that if anyone wants) but like that's fine bc it literally Doesn't Matter to them or anyone else. Like as spawned players they already don't have any pre-existing gender roles or ideas of what something "should" be so gender and presentation is what they make of it and there's no real solid idea in anyone's mind about how a "boy" or "girl" behaves or looks like. These are labels that exist but they barely mean anything. It also helps that any preexisting culture that WOULD have ideas of this was almost entirely destroyed like 5000 years ago (thanks Groda) so it matters even less than it already did.

And its funny bc the only two people alive from that era, White Eyes and Groda also just don't care. Groda maybe asks why Rana's voice sounds deeper once and nearly gets torn apart by Alex bc of it (Rana isn't offended or anything she just has a defensive girlfriend), bc she doesn't really understand because she never experienced anything like this first hand but very quickly comes to understand it and accept it. And on the other hand White Eyes is just like "I've seen weirder things than this" which yeah. Yeah honestly I think the person who was previously one with the undead would not care about gender in the grand scheme of things.

And then u have Kai which I've joked before that they may as well have been spawned in nonbinary. They rlly just said "I'm not really anything" and everyone was like yeah makes sense I vibe with it. Good for u.

Steve and Rana are both fairly open about having been the opposite genders previously (because that's how they view their experiences and that's valid!) and don't really shy away from the subject but also never really have much reason to talk about it since there's rarely a need to. In the modern day pretty much everyone who met them had met them post-transition. Even Alex had met them just before Steve started growing in his beard. The only people who ever knew them as Adam and Eve were Efe and Sunny but they never really thought it was weird or anything. Like the weirdest part to them was Steve saying he got his epiphany from seeing some guy in the distance on a foggy day who looked vaguely like him but that's its own subject manner that they aren't going to pry on.

Also Steve did DIY top "surgery" previously with a sword but we aren't going to talk about how messy that was for everyone involved.

Same Age AUs are so fascinating to me, and of the ones I've seen I really like them. In particular if we have Reigen and Shigeo both as middle schoolers because instead of an older mentor figure Shigeo is ending up with another kid. He gets to have a friend his age who gets to drag him around to do stuff and it's nice, really nice to have a friend he can relate to. Meanwhile Reigen has soooo many ✨issues✨ but hey he's great at bullshitting and is getting Shige to open up some more, while on the flip side he's also getting a friend and can go out and do more now that he has someone to do stuff with. Plus they make great business partners so this is going amazingly :D

Another version I like is if this is the result of some time travel shenanigans, mostly because I like seeing a more stark contrast between kid Reigen and adult Reigen, especially through Shigeo's eyes because... this isn't his shishou, not exactly, because kid Reigen doesn't have the years of life experience that helps his words hold more meaning, even if kid Reigen is still a great talker and bullshitter. He can't say everything right that Shige needs to hear and its a bit off putting, especially if kid Reigen has different views on being "special" and whatnot (considering... "I want to be someone"). But there's still elements there that is just so Reigen in the way he talks and the way he moves that its like. Yeah, this is a kid, but it's the same person and everyone can see just how Reigen is, this is how he started. He's not Shigeo's shishou but he's still Reigen.

Fallen angel Ash + Red??????? do tell :D

OKAYYYY i've already Established red and ash in the last ask so. let's talk abt their dynamic as fallen angels shall we? ^_^ (ramble under the cut)

so the dichotomy between then is that red accidentally became a fallen angel while ash intentionally fell from heaven. although both of them have themes of free will, the way free will plays into their fall from grace is vastly different. red used free will and had a consequence that was Much Harsher than ash, who knew exactly what is gonna happen when he fell (and he wasn't really a big fan of angelhood anyways)

also on top of that, red mourning his angelhood while ash just. simply cant understand is sooo. yeah. red and religious trauma. (he has so much of that oh my god) . and also red not understanding ash's willingness to rebel intentionally. insert thing about their ideologies being Directly opposed here bc ash thinks red isn't living his best life for being so willing to submit himself to a higher power. Yeah

but the thing is. even though they're fallen angels for vastly different reasons, they're still the closest thing they have to understanding each other. because whether they like it or not, they're still in the same place. after everything. so an arc where they reluctantly accept each other and talk about fallen angel stuff would go so hard i think. (also add them working out their feelings together and *chefs kiss* i loveeee that trope sm)

and maybe. once they work things out and realize they only have each other, they can have hope that things will be better. because they have each other. they might not understand the other all of the time, but from what they understand, they can forge something between the others. and maybe from that, they can realize they can survive this new and cruel world they find themselves in (also yes this is another paradise lost parallel. guess what story sparked my idea for this /silly)

(^ also that one is inspired by the ending of paradise lost where micheal [non fallen angel] talks to adam and tells him to story of jesus and how there won't be a battle against satan and how jesus [adam's future son] will be hurt and killed instead. but even as adam hears that, he still has hope things will be better. even if everything is horrible rn. he still has hope because he was made in gods image. and its a wonderful parallel to an earlier scene where satan is sitting in the garden of eden and crying at all of the grace and beauty of it and yet he doesn't feel better because he's so full of hatred and spite. that has nothing to do with the hc its just one of the coolest things in paradise lost i think . )
