If you look at what happened in Tennessee yesterday and still say "actually both parties are the same and voting is useless and democrats do nothing" you are at best an absolute FUCKING idiot and at worst are actively helping the neo confederate white supremacists who want to control the government and ensure that women and minorities have no part in it and no rights

#those legislators were voted out by a 2/3 majority bc republicans have a supermajority there #some of those races were probably won by razor thin margins. some races in my state were won by a few dozen votes #if a few dozen more ppl showed up to vote in a few more districts there might have been more democrats #and thus no republican supermajority #bc democrats by and large dont vote for that shit. not a single dem in Tennessee voted to expel them #THAT is how voting works #the reason gerrymandering works is because it DILUTES YOUR VOTE #it can sometimes be overcome if people actually bother to show up and vote #which they wont do if all of these stupid fucking jackasses are sitting there telling them it wont do anything #i have no respect for these leftists who claim to care abt oppressed ppl and then do everything in their power to stop things that help ppl #white supremacists dont want you to vote either if you tell everyone voting is useless then you are HELPING THEM
