Quick speculation from Chapter 1105
Okay so somebody's on their way to Egghead right now. Needless to say I'm curious as to who the fuck that could even be
A) Blackbeard and/or his crew I mean one of BB's ships is already there. On one hand, it could be just a vague reminder to us that the ship is there meaning those crew members could be making their way to the island. On the other hand, we know the ship is already there, so why be so vague about it? Alternatively, it could about BB himself, that he could be on his way to see what the fuzz is about and/or to try to bargain with the Marines with Garp's bounty? (Wild but okay)
B) Strawhat Grand Fleet Saw a few people suggest this, and like, sure, if you wanted to have a giant battle between the Grand Fleet and the Marines, why not. I'm not entirely sure what this would achieve aside from protecting Egghead from getting wiped out (which wouldn't be bad mind you, especially considdering a considderable portion of the island is literally just Vegapunk's fucking BRAIN) (Like??? IS HE GONNA DIE IF HIS BRAIN GETS DESTROYED???), but it's an option
C) Cross Guild The absolute wild card option? I think it would be funny as hell if those idiots somehow showed up there? But I'm not entirely sure when Buggy started his mutiny (like was the day before or like a few days ago??), depending on when that took place then it could make no sense for CG to arrive on Egghead that soon. Also why would they come to Egghead? Like unless one of the needless of the Log Pose from Emptee Bluffs happened to point to Egghead then. Yeah, how and why would they ever get there. I dunno man, I think it could be the funniest option for who could be on their way to the island. Especially if Crocodad Real. (Also this would give us an opportunity to see Caribou fall into Crocodile's hand and leak the info on the Ancient Weapons to him but I'm still more convinced Caribou's working for BB) But yeah this is the most unlikely option.
D) Dragon and/or the Revs Narratively speaking, this is without a doubt the most logical conclusion. Kuma's backstory was heavily about his ties to the Rev Army, so the gang coming to his aid at his time of need (and when the Government is about to wipe out an entire island after already killing most of its innocent inhabitants (who attempted to flee)), yeah, the Revolutionaries would make sense. Plus it's been kind of set-up already, with both that phone call Vegapunk made to Dragon as well as Dragon speculating with Iva-chan about where Kuma might've gone to. Like, Dragon pursuing Kuma to Egghead would make sense.
Only problem is that Dragon and the Revs are in fucking Paradise on Momoiro Island. They are literally the furtherst away from Egghead from any of our alternatives. So how the fuck could they even get there??? Like unless Dragon (or some other Rev we don't know about) just happens to have an ability that allows the Army to literally fly massive distances at the same speed as Kuma, if not faster... Yeah. There's no way they should be able to get there. To be fair if Dragon is a Wind Logia as many speculate then. I mean even if he couldn't load the army onto a ship and fly them there, he could probably fly to Egghead himself. Maybe. I dunno.
Like Dragon would make the most sense to me. He'd make the most sense narratively, but only if he has a trick he can use for fast travel. Which remains to be seen.
E) Someone else IDK it could be someone else but I can't imagine who else could be on their way. Red Haired Pirates? Kuja Pirates? We know it can't be Law nor Kid at the very least since those two got nuked.
I dunno, I'm curious to see who shows up (hopefully) in the next chapter

I will make my coffee...
There is a weird thing happening in the Philippines.... I'm not ashame of it coz why I can't get a job...
7:43 pm
This windblow is really unfair... It started year 2007 then those fucking people are unfair! Pressing me down and getting everyone that supposed to be mine or my group even my cousin white?
Did Mitch become a Queen of giving the simple battery???
10:12 am
Uncle DD is receiveing a lazadah and I saw a money on them yesterday, lots a money I think...
I saw something yesterday that they are counting lots a money... They are on cash on delivery, I think...Buying stuff in Lazadah...
THEY ARE ON CLOSED DOOR MOMENT NOW...
10:29 am
Just got foodish from Ate Liza's Carinderia'Z... With Uncle Jun approval...
10:32 am
If I can just loan from Lazadah I will angels... I don't care if I don't have money....Let's see what will happen. I'm not guilty at all and I'm not ashame at all coz there are people who are destroying me and always removing me to get a job...
10:52 am
Still,have windblow...
I got an approval just for 3k pesoses in Lazadah... I don't know how to pay for it angels... I'm supposed to be getting 100k but they just gave me 3k angels... It is sad...
Why, I can't get a job and this windblow... My old friends are gone... Mitch is a big mystery...
I know I can work but some people won't let me... Whew!
Worst! They took away all my LOVE even my cousin white!!! Daniel is not yet confirming...
12:26 noon
It seems Uncle DD is jealous of Neko... He doesn't want to feed Neko... I asked him if Neko did eather lunch? He just nodded no without any words... why???
It looks like Neko is dying....
12:45 noon
Accidentally listening to Eagle... If you will fall on someone who is taken... It is bitterish... It is good to avoid him like on the case of my cousin white.I said here I will really get him from a FilipiNOSE here but if it is from USA, then it is fine... I just said here I just feel strange. I have windblow and there are group of women who are stealing from me since 2007... Stealing my position and killing me...
But some cases like on Daniel, I never ask to leave a responsibility... We had friendship and we just need to talk... It is really important and I'm losing everyone...
CHURCH OF CHRIST are dirty and plastics!!!
12:54 noon
It is really a big deal for me that I should be the one here for my cousin white... It is my card! It feels like women are smashing me for getting my cousin white here,if it is FilipiNOSE.
I hate the other cousins on Treyes who are plastics even probably on his part, my cousin white... My cousin white will be mine in our family and no one will be with him but me!
6:07 pm
I feel bitterish Angels... I wanna leave Cavite but I know I can't now... I feel hurt... I wanna progress, vanity and travel...
6:29 pm
I feel bitterish... Hating Eagle for being mean and wicked.... Fake CHURCH OF CHRIST!
6:42 pm
Fake Church Of Christ of Eagle....
8:36 pm
Still,have windblow...
Here in Ely's house using wifi... Before going here I saw Uncle DD talking to Ate Aileen, our neighbour here sister of Ate Eden ( which I don't like that much as well )....
Ate Eden's house is in-front of our house, 2 blocks away in-front... I don't like them for a reason that I don't know angels... Ate Aileen's house is on the other village, the South Garden Village....
I just sense an unfair thing at my back....2 days ago I saw Ate Eden is putting a camera on our gate which is good in a way. She is one of the officer's here.
One particular reason that I don't like on ate Eden or their family is ( atrimitidah) or interfering...
Ate Eden is fake on me coz she is one of the officers here in this village, she is handling the gate key, I mean the main street gate key. From the past months and years we don't have a key on that and they gave me a hard time to walk on the other end of the street in this village. The reason why, we made our gate just like a ranch gate or ranch fence.
10:26 pm
Still,have windblow...
Here in my nest now... I feel bitter....I'm thinking of money....The moca2x is weird they gave me 1k pesoses and ask me to pay on 20th of this month a 320 pesoses and I don't have money... What will happen to me? Again, I'm not ashame coz some people got rituals, mature people knew it or some organized group keep on smashing me in call center and smashing my self-esteem. Group of organized people always removing me to get a job...I don't know, why!!!
I'm stressed-out... I'm thinking of money and job... I have lots of creditz that I need to pay my tala,moca2x and lazadah and my credit on Ely and on Marah & Kuya Erning and on Drug Store.
Another thing Uncle DD was really a mysterious person for me as well as that Ate Eden and her family...

while me and the gang are yelling we need to talk about the way middle class people perceive debt and how it affects financial status. the amount of times i've seen people much more well off than me act like we are on the same level because they have student loan debt is sickening.
do not pretend that the "progressive" position of cancelling student loan debt is anything other than a play to win back the hearts of middle class America without fundamentally fixing any other part of our society that destroys the poor.
look at the way they justify it. "it pays itself back, so our millenials and zoomers can invest in our economy." it's not about minimizing the hardship faced by being in debt. student loan debt can be devastating. i've seen it happen in my own life.
but access to student loans is a privilege. i am 28,000 dollars in debt and that is a privilege. of all of my friends i went to high school with, a handful of them went to college, and even less graduated. the amount of friends and family who live with medical debt? credit card debt? too many to count.
we don't stigmatize student loan debt the way other debt is stigmatized. medical debt? something is wrong with you. any decent person would have insurance through their job, how hard could a co-pay be to cover. what happens when you can't go to the doctor because you can't pay off more debt? don't worry about it. don't worry about the countless people in my life who wait months or years to go to the doctor because the only thing you're going to get is more bills you can't pay and more solutions you can't afford. what good is knowing your knee's bad if you can't get the surgery? medical debt kills. even if it doesn't kill us today or tomorrow, it trims years off our lives. years we live in fear and anxiety, wondering what kind of financial state we'll leave our family in when we die.
credit card debt? irresponsible with money. god forbid you use your credit card to fix your car so you can get to work, or to pay your doctor's bills or buy groceries or whatever other trivial things you wanted in the moment. how can you be trusted to rent a home, buy a car, get a line of credit that isn't egregiously exploitative if you can't pay the one you've been given?
forget the payday loans people use in desperate moments. forget the medical debt, the credit card debt, the housing foreclosures. forget all the things that poor people have held over their heads every day. forget the fact that there are those of us who have lived every day of our life with debt and will die like that. forget the fact that at every opportunity, we are told to our faces just how little our life is worth. forget the fact that many of us have no long term plan. where will we be in ten, twenty years? hopefully alive. if we're lucky, in a better home and working a job that doesn't leave us bitter and aching. what is retirement, when you can't even take a month of work off to have minor surgery.
the bare minimum is cancelling medical debt. but as long as healthcare remains a commodity and not a right, people will still die for want of it. but cancelling medical debt isn't profitable. when you cancel student loan debt, you free up millions of middle and upper middle class millenials' and zoomers' finances so they can buy homes, gentrify new neighborhoods, invest in stock, have more upperclass babies to keep up with the frightful masses of impoverished.
forget cancelling credit card debt. or anything else. there are huge swathes of industries dedicated purely to exhorting money from the poor. debt is an opportunity of wealth for the rich. the fact that middle class people ever got caught in the crossfire, with student loan debt, is a fluke, and the only reason they want to fix it is to get you to stop questioning the system as a whole.
#classism#hick manifesto#public education#healthcare#no war but class war#classism //#debt#bro idek im writing in a righteous haze.

Chief Ranking!
We got a very unexpected, but very cool ranking, about Chief!
In the Shoumetsu Toshi, Yuki and Takuya go about their “normal routine” investigating tamashii to protect their city. Today’s target for investigation is the tamashii of somebody Takuya knows: an acquaintance from his old detective group, who taught him “something very important”. But Yuki has a feeling this guy is different from the other tamashii. He feels dangerous, like he has the power to destroy “our world”.
Takuya first met Chief as his “buddy” at the detective agency. Because Takuya was still a newbie, he was buddied up with a more experienced mentor/senpai, but the man he was assigned to has no memories and no name.
The man we now know as Chief had no memories, no name, and no past
Yuki sees a flashback of one of their earlier missions. Takuya gets hasty, acts too early and their target escapes. After being lectured by Chief, they get a tip that the same target has appeared again.
This time Takuya goes undercover as the package deliveryman, while Chief backs him up in the shadows.
Takuya successfully infiltrates the package exchange, but to confirm he's “their guy” they ask him for a password. Takuya doesn't know, and the criminals pressure him by getting suspicious that he can't remember such a simple password.
This time though, Takuya doesn't lose his cool, and buys time. Thanks to that, Chief is able to figure out the password, and tells Takuya through his hidden earpiece. This successfully eliminates the suspicion cast on him.
Is this really a "simple" password?
Before their break, Takuya tells the criminals that “the boss” told them to open one of the hatches of the garage for “ventilation”, because inside that package is “you know what”. This was a ploy to get his own people from the detective group in. They successfully take down the crime syndicate, and for the first time, Takuya gets praised by Chief.
Takuya is now ready to stand on his own. Before he leaves his buddy, he suddenly calls him “Chief”, to symbolise they are now equals. So it looks like Takuya was the one who gave him that name.
Chief in the current world figures out what’s been happening. His role here is to wake the two of them up from Messiah’s dream.
But...Yuki doesn’t want to wake up. She claims Chief’s thoughts are unreadable, but that's actuallly a lie.
"I know you can hear me. I'm not as naive as Takuya."
Chief can’t get through to Yuki reasonably, so he plays his trump card. Literally. It's the tarot card: the Wheel of Fortune. Its power causes even Takuya to see (or at least feel Chief’s thoughts from) this next flashback.
It’s the moment right after Takuya finds out what happened to the orphanage. He feels responsible for abandoning them to their fate, even though it was a higher up who forced him to stop the investigation.
Chief announces he plans to leave the detective group and asks Takuya to join him. Chief joined the group hoping to recover his memories, but it looks like that won’t happen anytime soon. Also, thanks to Takuya, he has a name now.
Unfortunately Takuya says he still has things to do at the agency. He doesn't want to leave Kouta, Lisa, Researcher and the old hag (Tomoko) just yet.
Before Chief leaves, he gives Takuya one last piece of advice, which has stayed with him ever since: "Always stay true to your contract. Bear that determination for the rest of your life, so you never forget those kids, and never make the same mistake again."
He leaves, after telling Takuya not to die.
Chief leaves, a la the hardboiled detective he is
Yuki wonders if what we did was really the right thing. Takuya affirms that he will protect their “ordinary everyday life”, that he will protect his “contract”. Yuki doesn’t say anything more, but secretly wonders if it really is ok, for the strong-willed Takuya to continue protecting this miniature garden with her.
The Wheel of Fortune moves people with strong wills towards their fate. Thanks to the tarot card, Takuya remembers something very important: Always protect the contract. And so he decides, by his own will, to protect his contractee (Yuki), and defeat Chief.
Takuya defeats Chief through his own will, not Yuki’s
Chief returns to the rest of the gang. He did not succeed in rescuing Takuya and Yuki from the dream, but for some reason, he’s smiling.
"I did not succeed in my mission, but that doesn’t mean i failed."
Analysis bit
There are a lot of really interesting things we learn in this event, about all three of the characters in it.
First, we learn Chief and Takuya are tied together by fate. He was in the same detective group as Takuya, and his senpai no less. It’s probably no coincidence that his body was the one that Takuya took over in World 2.
The other thing I found interesting was that Chief had always had memory loss (his amnesia was not a side effect of his body being hijacked). Which makes him even more mysterious now. Who is he really?
Finally, towards the end we get confirmation the he, Kano and Souma successfully made it back to World in the Sky/Idea.
Regarding Takuya, it sure was satisfying to see the life-changing moment he got his motto. Knowing the reason behind it now also gives a good background explanation of why he is so determined all the time. I think the goal of this ranking is exactly to juxtapose that strong-willed determination we have always seen in him, to the weak-willed Yuki.
Speaking of Yuki, I think by far the most interesting things we learn in this ranking are about her. Yuki knows that she and Takuya are in a dream. Takuya doesnt. But Yuki doesn’t want to change that, because if she told Takuya, he would try everything to get them out, because that is the right thing to do. Essentially, Yuki is conflicted between doing what makes her happy, and doing what’s right for the world.
Now is the time for Yuki to show some real character growth. Up to now, it’s always been Takuya leading the way and dragging her along. She needs to eventually make the choice, voluntarily, to be strong and move forward, no matter how painful that is.
This actually makes sense, because recall that this Yuki is a fusion of World 1 Yuki and World 2 Yuki. World 1 Yuki has a history of chasing after happiness, and not wanting to escape dreams. World 2 Yuki has a bit of a cowardly streak. Bottom line is, when Yuki is afraid of something, she will try to run away. The only reason she doesn’t, is because of Takuya. He is the one moving her forward, literally and metaphorically. A good example of this is when they get trapped in a dream in Lost World. Takuya realises this, and pulls Yuki to her senses.
Now that the situation is reversed, Yuki finds herself unable to move forward (which is why the main story has now shifted to Souma). If this was the Yuki from three story modes ago, she would be content with this. This is the happy ordinary life she had always dreamed of. The life she can spend forever with Takuya. But she knows that she is living a lie. And she feels guilty about it. At the very start of the ranking event, she asks Takuya what he would do if somebody he knew very well did something wrong. Takuya probably thought she was talking about Chief (the “wrong” thing is Chief destroying “their world”), but in actuality she was talking about herself.
The “miniature garden” Yuki talked about at the end of the quest is significant. It is a metaphor for a perfect world that never changes, but it is artificial. The English equivalent might be something like a dollhouse. How long can she keep playing in this fake world and ignoring reality?
We are seeing a trend in events that is forcing Yuki into a position to make a choice. On her own. It is notable that this event came very soon after the new advent Eraser. In that advent, Yuki claimed she was unable to hear what Ryouko was saying, giving a nice excuse for us to totally destroy Ryouko without blaming anyone for it. This ranking quest makes it clear that Yuki was lying. She could hear Ryouko. But she “erased” her anyway. And any guilt she felt over that is only going to grow.
Chief said his mission was not a “failure” because he knows Takuya is the way to make Yuki crack. Takuya defeated Chief, somebody important to him, because of his ‘contract’ with Yuki. He is doing what he wants, on his own will. He thinks he is moving forward, but Yuki knows he is not. And to realise that she is denying him that ability, that has defined him this whole time, and is the reason the two of them are even together in the first place, is definitely going to make an impact. That’s why the memory Chief showed Yuki, was when she asked Takuya (in Chief’s body) whether he had been journeying with a Yuki from another world.
