It’s the last week to see Plexus no. 40 as part of the show Prism Fantasy at Psradise City. Thanks to all that made this show possible as well as all my fellow exhibition artists: @studioolafureliasson @thomascanto #ryotakawakubo #ivannavarro @dannyrozin @artyongbaek @bongchullshin and more. #Repost @artinmuseum ・・・ 마치 투명한 프리즘을 통과한 빛이 여러 갈래의 색으로 나뉘듯, 전시장 천장의 중앙 창을 통해 들어온 자연광이 수백 가닥의 영롱한 색실로 뿜어져 나온 것 같은 작품은 #가브리엘다우(1973~)의 플렉서스(Plexus) 연작 40번이다. 320개의 가늘고 긴 색실로 빛의 스펙트럼을 직조한 작품은 멕시��에서 유년기를 보낸 작가의 아련한 기억 속 풍경에 자리한 햇빛에 근원 한다. _ 우리의 삶을 비추는 빛에 관한 작가들의 독창적 사유를 보여주는 #파라다이스시티 #파라다이스아트스페이스 기획전 에 등장한 작품이다. _ 가브리엘 다우는 전시 전날인 지난 4월 18일 개최된 언론 프리뷰에서 "항상 과학적 접근이 중요하다. 스펙트럼을 디자인해야 되기 때문에 실험적 시도를 해야 했고, 어떤 소재를 사용해 그걸 표현해야 할지 고민했다"면서 "고체와 가스는 제외"하고 '실'을 소재로 택한 배경을 얘기했다. 그는 이어 "남성에게 자수 공예가 허용되지 않던" 당시 멕시코 사회의 보수적 분위기를 전하며, "멕시코에서 미국으로 건너와 자수를 작업으로 실현하게 된" 계기를 밝혔다. _ 전시를 기획한 전동휘 파라다이스세가사미 아트팀 디렉터는 "파라다이스 아트스페이스의 지향점은 시티와 맞닿아있다. 과거·현재·미래가 공존하는 융합적 접근이 전시에도 반영됐다. 다양한 콘텐츠들이 체험의 형태로 관객에게 전달되고. 국내외 작가들이 견인되는 첫 주제로 빛을 잡았다."�� 예술과 과학의 경계를 넘나들며 시각적 풍성함을 주는 이번 전시의 기획 의도를 밝혔다. 전시는 8/18까지, 무료 관람(누리집에서 사전 예약) _ #아트뉴스채널 #미술관가는남자 artinmuseum.com에서 보다 자세한 기사 내용을 확인하실 수 있습니다. 🏭 Welcome to Völklingen 🏭 🎼: Fakear - Hinode Part 1/3 Yesterday I spent the day in a fascinating place to see the 4th edition of the UrbanArt Biennale: at the World Cultural Heritage Site Völklinger Ironworks! @voelklinger_huette This place is totally fantastic you feel like being transported into another time inside this giant rusted place! This stunning site (100,000 m2) welcomes 100 artists with 150 artworks from 17 countries. It’s the largest urban art exhibition in the world. Worth to go there! Biennale taking place until the 5th of November.
