This post is a salute to my friends and family, and, of course, my readers in the U.S.A.! Freedom is something we often take for granted. So, I thank those veterans, living or dead, who fought for freedom from oppression (and as I have grown up in post-war West Germany, I mean that in a larger sense because I know what America has done for us). Still, America has a lot to do – and I have faith that you will manage it. Step by step. I like to quote former President Barack Obama: “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for.
