people are so needlessly prescriptive about arthurian stuff and im sorry but it's super unfun to me
#anytime i see someone go 'you can't do x' im just... sigh#sorry if that seems disrespectful or whatever but part of the joy of arthuriana to me is that everyone gets to noodle about with it#and have fun#so seeing people go 'you can't do x or y' or whatever irritates me#even tho i myself have my own strong views/personal preferences etc those are my preferences and im not going to lecture people about#how they should or shouldn't write arthurian stuff#tho that said if you write gawain/gwalchmai as a rapist you can get fucked#and yes this vague post was brought on by the post about making a welsh version of king arthur lol#might as well fess up to that#i thought it was silly
