Untrust worthy pt1
The anemone found herself at another party and Was partly annoyed by this fact. Though it was more domesticated than the wild-frat parties of her college years, people were still “breaking it down sexual style” on the dance floor infront of her. She didn’t care that it was a company event. The room was becoming stuffier as the hours passed by, the music seemed to fade into the background as she took another swift swig of her alcohol. Her co-workers carried on around her, it was like she was interily invisible, but she was used too it. It was better to be seen as a wallflower then an just to be as “the sister of the vocalist of AXBY”, that was a title that Koka wore for her inter life. “Harmony’s sister” was her name to many people, people only formed bonds with her when they only wanted an autograph or an audition to join. Despite being the older sibling, her sister over shadowed her. She groaned at this, scowling at the environment infront of her. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when an inkling couple sat down on couch she was sitting on and started a sloppy make-out session. She grunted loudly, alerting the couple. She grabbed her purse and started to head for the door. She angrily pushed the double doors opened and walked over to the marble wall. She slumped against it. At this point she didn’t even know what was making her upset, society favoring her sister over her, her boss who constantly took her for granted, or the 50million other things that was happened in the world. Koka rubbed her hands on her face, feeling the mositness of her tear stained cheeks. “Oh my god, what the h-hell am I doing.” She muttered to herself feeling more embarrassed by the second. She heard footsteps in the distance. Great, a passerby to see her pathetic anxiety attack. “You ok there, love?” She heard a low voice say. She knew that voice, it was HIM. HE of all people was there to witness her dramatic meltdown, just outside of the main event. She sniffed a little, trying to burry all the visible and audible distress she was in. “I’m fine, what are you doing here?” She said peaking her face out of her palms. God, she couldn’t even look at him. his eye stung into her soul, causing her to close her eyes. “I work fo’ the lab technically sheila, I’m jus’ contracted to grizzco.” She rolled her eyes at this, but she didn’t feel as annoyed with his presence this time, his gentle manner was actually comforting. Koka took a shallow breath, shakily removing her hands from her face, gathering an once of courage to look her rivial in the eye, she didn’t expect his appearance. He wore a black tanktop that barely exposed his midriff, overtop of that was a metallic baggy jacket. As perusal his long, thin fingers were adorned with golden rings, with his usual black cackeys, but with heeled-boots that extended to his knees. A deep turquoise blush started to grow on Koka’s face, the 3 cups worth of alcohol she had drunk was starting to kick in. The urchin looked down at her sympathetically, like he could tell she on the brink of drunken flirting. She gulped, trying to advert her vision from the man. “A-A little too c-casual f-for a-a company e-event you t-think?” She said trying to fight back the smile the growing on her face. The slurred speech, the blushing, it was a clear sign of her being wasted. Her grip against the wall seemed to vanish, as she slid down taking a seating position on the floor. Tucking herself into her knees. An annoyed sigh came from the man. “I’ll call a’ride for you…” he said taking out his phone opening up the ride share app. Just then a feeling of sorrow and worry overcame Koka’s intoxicated mind. She started to sob loudly, as she gripped onto to spyke’s arm. In a drunken slurry of words she started to plead to the urchin, pleads became complaints about her sister, and her boss, and how she was going to die alone with 50 nuddibranches inside a dirty old apartment. In the middle of her drunken whines, a sickening feeling grew in Koka’s stomach, the feeling of acidic substance in her throat, and then the world went black.
