dnt normally post oc stuff but i suddenly remembered an old one of mine that was inspired by @bogleech's harmburger stuff (particularly the variation in awful hospital)

idk if they had a name before but its Redbert now!! (Red "40" Bert for long)

they're a cheap shitty fast food megacorp's twisted experiment to make a "meat recycling program", so that when meat went rancid you could recycle it into edible stuff again, so they could save money on outsourcing their meat products! it worked but it also became alive and really really scared

they sound like the most stereotypical awkward "visibly bullied in highschool" nerd you can picture, however that manifests in your mind (i personally think of pete spankoffski from nerdy prudes must die but it's slightly different for everyone). they're pretty timid so it was easy enough for the fast food chain to convince them to work at one of their establishments, and they're technically company property so they didn't have much of a choice anyways, their sentience was entirely unintentional but ultimately means they can learn how to work a cash register and flip patties for peanuts and scraps so naturally they were put right to it!

they are technically food grade at all times- the experiment that birthed them was a success! said experiment being that they basically just threw a metric fuckton of meat in various states of freshness (from "severed, still-bleeding appendage" to "straight roadkill") into a giant vat together and blended it, and the combined hubris of this action alone plus everything else the company had done to get to how bloated it was present-day reviled the universe so badly that the thing was Immediately stricken with life if only to have an outlet for the sheer appall it felt at that microinstant.

it created this single homogenous kind of meat that immediately absorbs anything not resembling it (besides other meats), including bacteria, flies, debris and such, and just. Turns it into more meat. so it can't technically spoil bc any time something tries to break it down it just breaks it down quicker into more meat. that also means they don't really ever get less fresh than "literally still kicking & screaming"- they might get a little nasty being made to stand out in the summer heat but it'll digest back into more, fresher meat the second they get into some air conditioning! so it's totally safe for them to be serving people food & in fact they make the place cleaner just by kind of idly standing around (however they can't leave their bucket. that much contact with the ground might have consequences for the building's infrastructure eventually)

one of my friends asked me if they could lose mass and i said that you could in theory scoop some out of them but if you used your bare hands, it would start taking mass from you rapidly enough to actively feel yourself losing skin cells and the sensation will almost definitely jar you into dropping it on the ground where it'll either fall back into Redbert or crawl into them. sometimes they run under the fridge and we're not really sure what happens to those ones, but sometimes employees find them a couple weeks later hiding behind the grease trap. they hiss

but funny aside they will turn anything into meat eventually but they struggle to digest metal, so they probably get scooped semi regularly with some metal implements that are changed out when they wear down too far and the excess is made into burgers or something. it's to keep them from getting too big that they inconvenience the other workers too much, but i will note that they were in fact smaller upon creation and the scoopings have become more frequent as of late

they were made with my love of drawing long serpentine things in mind and also raw meat :> and chickens! they don't really have to look like a chicken they just reuse those limbs the most consistently bc it's the least offputting way they've managed to make themselves look (as part of their customer training they were made to carefully study how people reacted to their appearance upon using various arrangements of limbs, organs and bone fragments as facial features)

don't know if ill post abt them super often, i don't do a lot of oc stuff often, but maybe ill doodle them whenever i get bored and i have some spare time so ill make them a tag :V

have the old version of them + art i did of them as an animal crossing villager(??) under a cut bc it's Old!

The slip-up

Where Adar follows the wrong group during the attack on a settlement and ends up in a questionable place. AKA the Uruks find a brothel.

Village after village fell on Adar's quest to reclaim the Southlands and give his children a home. They all fell in the blink of an eye, but the larger settlement held up strong.

It was an elven home, the ones who watched over the mortals of the lands for eras before.

"Leave the homes. A cleared out settlement like this makes for great homes once we lay claim to these lands." Adar's commanders took his advice and stormed the place, taking lives, prisoners and looted armories before the locals had time to do so themselves.

But in the early night when most of thr place had been quiet upon their entry, there was one building where it was as lively as ever. Naturally drawn to the sounds of people Adar followed his troops towards the place, quickly hearing the screams of terror and the sounds of his children taking back what was theirs.

"Lord Father!" He had not made it inside yet and one of his kin came running back out. "Lord Father what is this place? It is strange, come and assist us in fight."

Inside there were uruk standing at the ready, others having made it past the folk downstairs and were causing trouble a floor above.

But that all did not concern him. In front of him stood the ones currently inhabiting the building. A few men who had carried weapons up front and hiding behind them stood elven women wearing..

Well, nothing but paneled skirts and a waistband holding them up. They his behind the bar area with bottles of of alcohol that had rags stuffed in them, flames at the ready to ignite them.

The one house he had decided to enter had proven itself to be a house of pleasure and they had barged in on their busiest night.

Adar stood frozen in place, entirely caught off guard by the bare skin and scent of arousal that lingered on every surface.

Only when an uruk came crashing down the stairs the men dared to advance, but they were easily slain by their enemy.

Now only the women were left, taking no moment to cower and tossed the burning flasks at the uruk, only to learn it was all way less effective as they had hoped and were soon approached by the intruders.

Not even screaming bloody murder would summon help, and desperate times called for desperate measures as one of them grabbed whatever was at hand and threw it, having the other maidens join in tossing glassware, serving trays and towels.

All of it was easily cast aside until one threw other cloths, one of which missed its target and thwacked Adar right in the face.

He swiftly grasped it and ...silk? with a strong scent..

In his hands he held a silken slip. Out of the corner of his eye he saw his uruks being assaulted with an array of thrown items, clunking against armor and thudding against skin leaving them weirded out and uncomfortable. He managed to catch the piece that flew at him, fumbling not to drop it as it was slick and kept getting away from him until he finally held it.

He was not pleased with the findings of the large, phallic shaped item in his hand. It was incredibly detailed, and large. In disgust he tossed is and wiped his hand on his clothes, unaware of the shouting coming from behind him.

"Men! Worthless when milkbags are out!" A shrill voice called and Adar soon noticed a barrage of female uruk had come in and taken care of the whole situation in mere moments. They rushed past and by the time he had caught up with it all it had all settled already.

The women were rummaging through the aftermath, laughing amongst each other. "Look! Thissun's bigger than my husband's." Adar watched one of ghem wiggle the fake penis he had thrown aside earlier, shaking his head and walking off.

Outside he found a group of his warriors huddled together, grumling and smiling suspiciously and found them toying with an array of different undergarments they clearly stole from the pleasure house.

But the battle was over and that was all that mattered. Now it was time for rest.

"Oh, come here, you scaredy cat!" A male ran past him, followed by the screeching voice of what Adar assumed was his partner. "It's fun I swear! Nice even!" His eyes followed them as she chased her lover with what looked like a stash of toys in her arms.

don’t mind me, im just thinkin about murder drones Alice… it just hit me like a ton of bricks earlier, how did she get her accent?

i genuinely don’t know if glitch cares that much about putting details into background characters, she could literally only be made for the sake of exposition and backstory for Nori or to make Uzi and co suffer, (seeing as it’s up in the air whether they meant to put subject 017 under a different name on the solver list in ep 7) but what if i have a little joy in whimsy in my life?

Doll is Russian so of course i’m gonna assume she has Russian code because Yeva is also. i think it’s pretty safe to assume Alice doesn’t have parents, Nori, Yeva Khan and them being all alive to see the destruction of humanity and being the first generation to make pillbabies and all, so i’m gonna say Alice didn’t inherit this accent from anybody.

all this buildup to say… i think it’d be very silly to just think that Alice just really, really liked old western movies and just… picked up the accent and decided to copy it down into her code. this works especially well, dare i say even makes it make so much more sense, to go along with the trans headcanon. when picking a new voice to give herself she rlly just said: i like thissun :)

okay i mean this in the most no pressure way as possible, but i aint gonna lie: if you ever draw ghostsoap, even if it's them just holding hands and skipping off into the sunset, i'll be able to die as the happiest man in all of canada because your art is genuinely some of the best stuff i've ever seen and ghost n soap are two of my most favouritest guys right now
