Goat Simulator

This is so fucking amazing. I’ve played the alpha and sweet tit-licking baby of Vin Diesel and Gabe Newell it's ungodly awesome.

The story is so epic and awesome. I was specially surprised by the amount of plot twists that keep hitting you for the final 20 hours, and yet it all makes sense and feels absolutely natural. The storytelling is absolutely amazing, and marks the new standard of the medium. The characters are all fleshed-out and relatable, and Goat is an impressive achievement in terms of invoking emotion. Even if you are a cold-hearted bastard who can’t bat an eye to starving children and animal cruelty, it’s impossible not to relate to the Goat.

The voice cast is amazing. Troy Baker makes his most brilliant performance yet by voicing Goat, and the main villain, voiced by Nolan North, is so nuanced that his Nathan Drake is put to shame.

The combat is fast and visceral. The upgrade trees are complex and at the same time easy to understand, and thank God this beast never drops under 120fps, even when the resolution is cranked up to 8K and fighting more than 20 thousand enemies at a time. And if you think this is absurd and that you will need to sell both kidneys to afford a pc to run this monster of a game, fret not – this little piece of heaven here is so optimized you can run it with maximum settings even if you have one of those old hipster Macbook things.

The only drawback I can think of is that I wish I could have the retail version. I would make sweet, tender love to it all day and spawn multiple copies of this holy piece of 0s and 1s to cover the whole fucking world in goats.
