Handgun safety

I was just reminded forcibly that handgun safety isn’t a built in skill. 

Here are the 4 rules of Gun Safety:

The 4 safety rules

All guns are always loaded.

Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.

Identify your target, and what is behind it.

Folks, whether its your gun or someone else’s, it’s YOUR responsibility to be sure that YOU are safe handling them.  If you don’t know, ask.  If you remember the 4 rules, you will never be left standing there going Oh Shit.  All it takes is one moment of carelessness, of being tired, and a tragedy can occur.
