This is literally a first for me. It took me almost a month just to get the guts up to take this photo. Then it's been a few days with me wondering if I should even post it at all. I had this idea of a photo of myself suspended in water where you can't tell if I'm sinking or floating back up to the top. I always feel like I'm stuck in the middle, my fears and worries, anxiety and depression drag me down. My hopes and what's. Left of my dreams is not nearly enough most of the time to pull me back up and so I am suspended in a sea of conflicting emotions, sometimes drowning in sorrows in hopes that one day I can come back up. I am here. I am alive. So that is something. I will live. Not just survive. I have been trying to live for this last year and while my life may be boring to some. I hear this a lot from my friends, "I want to wait until I've lost some weight." I have to remind them that there is no reason to wait for what they want. You can love yourself and do things you enjoy when you are fat. People always expect us to just hide in the shadows and not wear what we want or to change our look or do things we want.
