But it seemed the woman got the hint, and obviously didn't plan on pushing any further on the subject. Although she wondered who or what would do something like that to him. Because now that was one potential future ingredient down the drain.

There was a five-second awkward silence before the other asked why she had set the bakery up here, which made her perk up and snap out of it almost immediately.
