"I ain't even drunk yet, cutie.~" Lucifer winked, Adam hated what his words did to her. Since Eden he made her feel hot all over and heart beat fast.

"Don't fucking do that." Adam wouldn't be able to stand another heart break, bad enough Lucifer did it the first time. Adam chugged some wine, Eden hurt too much to think about and all the feelings that came with that damn garden.

Lucifer frowned drinking more. "Do what?"

"Flirt with me like you actually fucking like me!" Adam turned her sharp golden eyes on the King.

"Tell me something."

"What?" Adam growled.

“When did you fall out of love with me?” Lucifer asked, it was a risky question but he knew he needed to ask. He knew that Adam loved him back in Eden and he loved him in return.

The whole thing was complicated.

Adam was caught off guard by the question. She looked down, sadness gripping her heart. “That’s the thing: I never fell out of love with you. You’re the one who fell out of love with me.” Wine tended to make her honest, now was no different. She felt her eyes grow wet, all the promises and dreams that she and Lucifer talked about in Eden were brought to the forefront of her mind.

It hurt so much when he gave all those things to Lilith.

"I never fell out of love with you. You were all I could think about." Lucifer said as he moved closer and tucked some hair behind Adams ear. He tangled his hand in her hair and pulled her down into a kiss.
