Review 2 in series for Dragon Age Veilguard
Spoilers for Veilguard
First part of review series is below.
I'm not an asshole disclaimer (same as the first one, if you read that, you can just skip down to the cut.)
Something came to my attention. I need to make it crystal clear that I utterly love the diversity in DAV. It's fantastic. I'm also a heavily left leaning, non-binary, queer as fuck reviewer, editor, and author.
I'm on media blackout while I play this, so I'm only getting second-hand info on how awful it is right now in the DA Fandom. Please be safe and take care of yourselves. Arguing with incels and white supremacists is completely pointless. They sea lion worse than an actual sea lion. Your mental health is important.
Though, every single time the anti-queer brigade comes out for a new DA game, I sit there thinking 'have you bozos ever played any DA game, like, ever?' My guess is nope.
9 hours in, 7 hours playtime.
Negative review
While I'm incredibly grateful that I can play this game, because I really hope the story actually starts soon, (yes, I said it, the pacing on this is terrible, and I'm both an editor and a writer, I have a clue). I hate to say... I am soooo glad I didn't buy it. Or I'd be demanding a refund. I didn’t actually look at the price tag, but it must’ve been around $80 Canadian. Given our cost of living crisis, that's obscene but whatever. Games are expensive.
It's just not worth that much in its current state. Sure. Games on release often have bugs. I kinda hate spending money to be an unpaid beta tester. BG3 had nowhere near as many.
My computer comes down right around the middle of the minimum and recommended specs. DA4 doesn't even make it get hot like BG3 makes it. So I'm really thinking glitchy game vs computer issues. Considering I'm not the only one it's happening to... welp. (I looked the glitch up, it's pretty common.)
5 out of 10 loads, my character glitches back to the stock elf body. And if I continue playing, it corrupts my saves and they won't load. It has also happened mid-battle, too. So I have to figure out which save to go back to before the glitch bit. Which, without pics in the save files is fun /s.
'Balanced' play isn’t. I play on tactician/hard in most games. I'm on balanced, and keep fucking dying. TBH I'm not extremely awesome with the controls and moves yet, but I'm not bad either. I honestly just think the bad guys are too overpowered (way too fast, hit too hard, and it takes too long to break their armour) for beginning levels. And yes, I have my Rook in the best armour I currently have. Maybe if I could carry more than 3 potions, it wouldn't matter as much, but IDEK man.
And you know what isn't actually any fun in games? Dying a lot. Also? Having to drop my difficulty level for regular bad guys less than ten hours into the game. It's still teaching me moves ffs, so is sorta the tutorial. I'm not a 'get gud' type. I think that's ridiculous. Gaming is supposed to be fun. If it makes it more fun to drop the level for a boss fight or whatever, more power to you. But I usually don't have to until end-game material. If I have to at all. It's honestly pretty rare. Load time is ridiculous, so every time an over-powered not-a-fucking-darkspawn slams my rogue (which I swear shouldn't be possible, I know how to fight with rogues, they're my first and favourite class), I get creamed because I'm bloody stuck in a place I shouldn't get stuck in.
I know they had testing on this. Wasn't that why the date was pushed back? My memory isn't great since COVID but I think I might’ve seen that somewhere.
Solavellans will likely be disappointed in the first seven hours. You see Solas twice. He may as well not even be in the game.
And I really hate to say this, but I'm just bored. I wasn’t itching to play it like I usually am with good games. (If a game catches me up, it's about the only thing I want to do.) I still loaded it up tonight, didn’t have anything better to do. (Because I'd probably have done that instead.) I'm mostly playing so I know what happens in the story myself. And I was hoping we'd get some answers to all this lore that lives in my head, rent free. So, whatever, I'm still hoping it will catch me up. I'll keep playing in hopes we actually get something resembling a story at some point soon.
And the number of editorial errors is ridiculous. Both developmental and copy.
'Cause bodies can't decompose in the Anderfels? Because nothing external lives there? Granted, I have specialized knowledge there (former forensic anthropologist) but, that isn't remotely how decomp works.
Does your 3 week old raw hamburger not rot because it was in a cold, dark place without any external decomposers? (My 17 year old knew the correct answer to that, so did my 12 year old.)
The primary forms of humanoid/mammalian decomposition come from inside us. Bugs don't even start showing up for a bit. Why do you think bodies bloat? Our gut bacteria going wild. Why do you think bodies are routinely embalmed? No bugs (usually) in a funeral home or morgue either.
And y'know? I actually outright told Epler on Twitter (before it went to complete hell) that he needed a better editor or 4 after playing DAI. And DAV already has more editorial issues than I noticed in the whole first half of DAI. Way to prove my point.
I'm an exacting editor. I'm pretty good at it. And I don't expect perfection in anything. Perfectionism is a trauma response, after all. But so many errors so soon? Really?
I'm not even getting into the story issues. Because I'm still hoping we actually, y'know, get to a story? And if I'm really lucky? That story will cover some of the glaring errors.
But so far? I'm not impressed. I've never, since I started playing DA games, been fucking bored.
Next one is here:

Graveyard Keeper Review
I couldn't post this on Steam since I technically don't own it there (even though I paid for the DLC) but I wrote this all out for a Steam Review and I am not wasting it.
ANYWAYS. Here's my review of the game Graveyard Keeper under the cut.
Warning, it is negative, and I did not like it very much. I don't hate it though. I gave this game a solid 40 hours with all the DLCs.
Really thought I'd like this game, but it gets old and it gets old FAST. I wouldn't say it's a terrible game by any means, I legit got some entertainment out of it at the start, but it quickly falls apart when you realize you just never…. do anything. I played this game with all the DLCs installed and I think that give it a feeling of lots of 'content' and made it addicting for a while when I wasn't quite sure what awaited me.
This is like baby's first Factorio/Stardew Valley game but you get the worst of both worlds.
You're tasked to be a Graveyard Keeper, but honestly, that's like 10 percent of the game. You very rarely do any graveyard keeping. And when you do, like everything else in this game, it is extremely poorly explained. The thing you'll be spending more time than anything doing is just… walking back and forth. You're given a clunky teleport pretty early on and maybe later you'll find out you can keep buying speed potions if you can't live like this anymore, but that seems to be it. There's no mounts, there's no better system of travel, no upgrading that.
The gameplay revolves around your standard Factorio / Stardew Valley type things… gather resources, find a way to min/max gathering those resources etc. It's a bit addicted at first because min/maxing them is incredibly easy when you understand the game. Sadly, when you understand the game, you also realize there is nothing awaiting you for doing any of these tasks. The 'rewards' you get are mediocre at best.
The soundtrack is also just… not good. You get maybe 2 songs on a 2 minute loop for this intensely long grindy game. Bring your own music.
I'd say by far the worst part of this game though is the writing. I don't think this matters to some people and that's fair, but the writing here is just bland, boring, dry, and riddled with typos and spelling mistakes. There's some sort of spelling error in almost every scene.
The plot and the characters are way worse than I expected. The plot turns out to be an ISEKAI. Yes, that's right. This is a cut and dry ISEKAI somehow. You play as John Milk Toast Normal Guy and get hit by a car and end up in this boring world that makes you a Graveyard Keeper. That was a red flag off the bat, but I tried to be open minded.
Throughout the game though, you'll learn that not a single one of these characters is likeable in any sense. They're all vaguely buttheads and kind of rude. They have a lot to say, but it's never fun, it's just bad stale jokes and quips without any kind of style or flair added to them.
(Note: I LIKE rude characters. But they're ALL weirdly low level rude and dull as dishwater.)
The OTHER red flag should have been noticing all the DLCs just titled after popular TV shows. Stranger Sins, Better Save Soul, etc…. none of these references have literally anything to do with DLCs. It is just, "Hey this one is sin related, let's make the title look like Stranger Things."
And tying in with the rewards sucking, your rewards 90% of the time are just waiting through these incredibly dull scenes that feel like they were written by a 15 year old boy going through an edgy phase (but also doesn't want to upset Mom)
Final Bit: This game is just sadly mediocre. It's not a terrible game, but it is certainly not good. It has no strong points. Play Factorio, Oxygen Not Included, something like that if you need the grind. Play Stardew Valley or Sun Haven if you want that Harvest Moon farm feel. This game does not scratch the itch of either. If you can get the full game and the three DLCs all at once for extremely cheap? I guess it's not the worst, but it is still not fun enough.
#review#Negative#sorry if somehow someone looks up this tag#and is like Wow! New Graveyard Keeper fandom takes!#and it is just me#hope you will heed my warnings and not look if you like the game#i love and respect you as a person#unless you're a dickhead#bye

Potion Economics!
okay so I bought Potionomics on release. an impulse purchase. but I knew I was going to love it.
(screenshots are probably spoilers, I'll probably talk about spoilers, so here's your spoiler warning)
so again, I bought the game on a whim. my wallet cries in agony.
I love games like these where you take care of a store and some of my favourites from this genre are Moonlighter and Recettear. super fun times.
Potionomics is a fabulous game with a lot of personality, a simple, well-executed story, and an immensely fun game loop.
to start with the bad (which are few and far between).
my biggest negative for the game is that there is zero voice acting. which was really depressing. for how animated and unique these characters are, I was surprised there were no voices at all. and not like voiced dialogue. there aren't any vocal sfx. no quips. no barks. I would've loved something to make some of the visual novel aspects more entertaining
secondly, this was not a kick back, chill game where you can endlessly make potions for whatever witch, hero, merchant, cat, bird, dog, dragon that comes into your humble little store. no sir ma'am. it was a game with a time limit (which I hate btw) and stress (quite literally). 10 days to get ready and go. and then do that 4-5 times. not the potion I wanted, but not enough to turn me away.
next, we've just got a few release bugs, 80% of which I avoided by waiting like a week to play the game. but I did encounter stuff not showing up, but nothing game breaking.
so for all the lovely positives for the game.
all the characters are so great! they're sometimes cringe, but in a good kind of way. they're all kind of self-aware of their flaws, which makes them a less annoying to be around, but it also made them stronger characters because it was obvious what they needed in order to grow.
their little scenes were all very nice too! I focused on my favourites until about 70% through the game where I decided I could get all the achievements. some of them were lacklustre, maybe because of burnout or because I was hunting achievements, but I think they were all strong in their own rights. and also my favourites did not disappoint. I will always be Salt and Pepper's blood brother <3
even for the characters who I thought I wasn't going to like (cough Roxanne and Baptiste cough) I found that I couldn't hate any of the characters and the rivals are no exception. I think that's a sign of good character design, if I may be so bold.
the story is simple—uncle died, Sylvia inherited debt and needs to manage the store to win competition money. its simplicity allows the game to breathe and you can get so much more from adding details to this story like they did (rather than making a complicated story).
for example, each of the rivals. they're made to each have a main strength and an antagonistic personality. for example, Roxanne (the first rival) is a fraud who uses charm to win. we see what she needs to grow as a character, we see her strengths, and we see her goal.
I'm also extremely happy that the story is complete! which is a little counter to my "this is not endless chill game" problem. the ending wrapped everything up
and now for the absolutely delicious gameplay loop
making potions in Potionomics is a blast. all you do is put ingredients in a cauldron and try to get the right ratio, but holy moly was it fun for me. for a meticulous person like me, I loved it. spent hours on it. but getting higher tiers is kinda frustrating when you've only got crappy ingredients. the gating was real (either I had to wait for harder areas or better equipment).
accepting the requests were also fun little challenges! they weren't really required, I imagine you could essentially beat the game without them, but having to make potions with certain good traits inevitably made me actually good at making potions.
the card battling aspect was also really nice! this was one of the first times I've seen this kind (where you're not out to kill) and I loved that it enhanced the narrative aspect of the game.
one little gripe I have about the deck-building is that you always needs 20 cards. seems balanced enough. it was clearly more than enough to win me the game. but I did want to change up my tactics sometimes, which included wanting less cards. in the end, I pretty much kept the same strategy until the late game where 1. I had too much stress and needed to get some stress reducing cards and 2. I got the really good cards from maxing out relationships.
I haven't even gotten to talking about the art and the music!
the art and music was phenomenal. loved the character designs. loved the places. the animations were smooth and believable, flashy and unique to each character's personality. the art was one of the things that drew me to the game in the first place, because the cute characters and handsome characters dragged me in. I'm a sucker for them.
the music... was pretty good, all things considering. I liked the music. I liked the sound effects. but I found the audio to be the weakest aspect of the game. that doesn't mean it was weak. it was damn good. just everything else was so high quality, I couldn't pay all too much attention to it. having no voice acting also affected that, though.
Potionomics has a great story, amazing characters, and fun gameplay. there's no doubt in my mind that it's one of my favourite games of the year.
as always, enjoy gaming!
#ink reviews#game review#Potionomics#video games#long review#ink 100%#can you see how much I love this game by how long I talked about it?#can you tell I've been going to my game writing classes? lmao#I have skipped writing reviews for other games I've finished this month but I'll get to them#couldn't fit this into the review but 'magimins' always made me think of 'megumin' the character and I thought that was funny

It had been a long day of classes. Which wasn't unusual seeing as you were in your final year at Hogwarts and your owls were fast approaching. You and Hermione had been spending hours in the library whenever you could in order to prepare and you just felt as though your brain couldn't take in any more information than it already had. But you knew that you could do it. You knew that you had revised as much as you could in order to pass and do well. Passing your owls was one of the most important things in your life at the moment. Well besides your boyfriend Ron. After denying your feelings for each other for years when the battle of Hogwarts happened you both finally admitted your feelings and you have been together ever since. You both needed each other. With everything that happened. The losses both of you had you leaned on each other to get through it. That stuff would either make or break a relationship and for you two it made you relationship. Which yes the previous friendship between you two helped but at the end of the day you two were a strong couple and that was all that mattered.
You sigh as you close the heavy book for potions class and rub your temples groaning. Hermione looks at you equally as tired and gives you a small smile. "I think I've done enough for tonight. I'm going to go up to bed. You coming" she asks you. With a yawn so shake your head. "I'm just going to do an extra half hour and I'll be up" you inform her and she nods her head before picking up her bag. "Also can you tell Ron that I'm here in case he asks' ' you ask her and she nods her head. "Yeah I will. Now don't over do yourself. It'll do more harm than good" she mothers you and you laugh. "Goodnight Hermione" you say. She smiles before walking off.
About 10 minutes later you can feel yourself nodding off to sleep. It was definitely time for you to go to bed. It was quiet in the library. There wasn't anyone there which wasn't unusual for that time in the night. Most of the last years would have done their studying earlier in the evening so that they could have the night off. But for you it was any of the available time that you had.
Sighing you pick up the book, putting it back onto its shelf and grabbing your bag. As you're walking through the library towards the entrance you can't help but feel a presence. You thought it was just your mind playing tricks on you so you just continued on your way. But when you start to hear other footsteps you stop for a second. Which was something that you later would regret. You turn around slowly and all you remember is a dark figure slamming you to the floor and you black out.
Ron's POV
I was sitting in front of the fire in the common room waiting for Y/N. It had been an hour since Hermione had come up and curfew was fast approaching. It wasn't like her to be this late. I mean she is always on time. Maybe she just got lost in studying which wasn't unusual for her.
"You still up, mate" Harry asks me. I turn to see him at the bottom of the stairs. I nod my head at him.
"Yeah, I'm waiting for Y/N. She should be up soon ''I told him. Harry nods his head at me. "Okay well don't be up too long ok '' he says before turning and walking back up the stairs. I look at my watch and groan. Okay I'm going to get her. I know she would be pissy at me if I let her stay any longer. Standing up I walk out of the common room and down to the library.
Walking into the library I see that it is mostly dark. There were only a handful of lights still on. Walking towards all of the litten areas not seeing her at any of them. Panic starts to rise in me when I can't find her. A feeling of dread goes into my gut. I know that she could be anywhere. I mean I could have just missed her. Maybe she just went a different route back. But for some reason no matter how many times that i think that i cant persuade myself that that's what she would do. She took the same route back to the common rooms all of the time back from the library. It was the quickest way and at this time at night she would be exhausted as to why she would take any other route.
It was only when I got near the entrance that I heard crying. Running towards the noise I am shocked to see Y/N lying there. Bloodied. Beaten up. I ran towards her, taking her in my arms. Seeing her face all bruised and swollen, I cried. Help is the only thing that I can shout as I hold onto her.
Y/N POV
Waking up my whole body ached. Every single part. I feel a hand on mine holding it tightly. I open my eyes and see Ron with tears in his eyes. He gives me a small smile. "Hey" he quietly says. Holding back tears. I look at him confused. "What happened?" I asked him. He cries putting his head on my hand sobbing uncontrollably. What was going on? "Ron. Love what happened ''I ask him, panicking. He continues to sob when I hear the curtain open and there stands my parents, Dumbledore, Madam Pomfey and McGonagall. My mum walks in taking my other hand tears going down her face. Madam Pomfey comes in closing the curtain behind her before looking at me sadly. "What's going on?" I ask frantically. My mum strokes my hair and I look at her in the eyes looking for answers. She looks me in the eyes and sighs.
"Honey. You were attacked last night" she says slowly. I was shocked. "What do you mean mum. I don't remember anything" I cry, not accepting what happened. She cries while swallowing before speaking again. "Honey you were also raped" she reveals and everything stops.
After that all i remember was them asking me if i wanted to go through with rape testing. To see if they could get anything to help identify who did this to me as I had to recollect what happened. I remember saying yes and going through with it. It was all a blur. I don't remember most of it. But after that I just curled back up into bed. There but not really there. I could see people talking to me but I didn't hear what they were saying. It was just a ringing in my ears. That was all that I could hear. I just kept looking at Ron as he slept. He was always touching my hand to comfort me. I know that he blames himself somehow. But there was nothing that could have prevented it.
2 days later, me and Ron are just staring at each other. We were not saying anything, just staring at each other. It was comforting knowing that he was there. "I'm sorry" he apologizes again. I sigh, shaking my head. I place my hand on his cheek stroking it. "It's not your fault, love. There was nothing that you could have done. There was nothing that anyone could have done to prevent what happened. He did what he did to me. And I'm going to have to live the rest of my life knowing that he did this to me. There is nothing we can do now. Just move forward the best that I can ''I tell him. He nods his head with tears going down his face. I lean forward placing a kiss on his lips and we hold onto each other.
A week later I had my bags packed and ready to go. It was decided that it would be best for me to spend a few weeks away from Hogwarts in order to get some help for what happened to me. I agreed as long as it didn't affect my education. I didn't want this bastard to have the satisfaction of doing that also. Saying goodbye to Ron and the rest of my friends was hard but they all knew that even though I was strong now. If i didn't get help then this would come back to bite me once again. And I knew that myself as well. With many kisses and hugs from Ron as we stood ready for me to teleport home he promised me that he will be standing there waiting for me when i get back.
And he held that promise. Because he was the first face that I saw as I stepped through a few weeks later. I wasn't going to let what my rapist did to me affect the rest of my life. I'm not going to allow myself to be defined as the girl who was raped. I'm not a victim. I'm a survivor.

Magic AU
I created a whole ass magic system on the fly. @eyecandyeoz helped me finetune these headcanons. Also this features the Survivor trio
There are 3 ways that magic is acquired and boosted
Knowledge
Deals
Mana boost
Knowledge
By studying different magic types the user can increase the range of types of magic the user can use
If you understand how different types of magic work you, in turn, can use it
Mana
all things contain some amount of magical powers
the objects or food near leylines have higher magical properties
consuming the food with high mana it boosts internal mana levels for 6 hours
Another way to absorb mana is to keep the object with a high mana count on your person
Deals
This is the most high-risk technique for boosting and acquiring magic
In order to do this process, you need to pick a deity and bring an offering
There are many deities to choose from: angels, demons, gods, spirits, ghosts, etc.
Once you've chosen a deity you offer up an offering and then strike a deal
By striking a deal you've agreed to become an extension of the deity
Your magic now comes from that deity and are bound by contract
The contract is very strict
Depending on what is staked in the deal it also affects the strength of the magic
If something very important is staked in the deal then the magic is strong
Ex.) Necromancy in exchange for the soul- high-level magic
Ex.) Light magic in exchange for a cheeseburger- low-level magic
Familiars
Can store and use magic/mana
can range from creatures to objects
Ex.) Sentient pocket watch
Crosshair
Portal magic
can go literary anywhere but chooses to stay with the Empire
uses his portals to shoot anywhere
Made a deal with a space entity
Contract mark: the circle on his crosshair tattoo
When he uses his magic the circle glows red
He staked his life because he wanted to be strong and dramatic
Omega
Bubble/gum
can steal mana
make explosions from the stored mana in the bubble
Either use bubblegum or soap bubbles or glass bubbles
Can store mana in bubble-like objects
made a deal with a goddess of healing
Contract mark- ring around her thumb and pointer finger
By dipping her mark in the bubble liquid and creating a bubble the mark glows white
Staked her agility
Wrecker
Fire and explosive magic
can create fire and explosives from his fists
siphons heat from objects of from peppers
can control explosions if he understands how it was created
Mainly uses his fire for cooking which boosts mana levels for 6 hours
Always on the lookout for high-level mana ingredients
Struck a deal with a fire sprite
Contract mark: scars on his hands and forearms
When he uses his magic his scarred eye glows orange with his fists
Tech
uses runes, knowledge, and alchemy
he uses runes/spell cards to fight mainly like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon
Makes potion capsules for mana boosts or containing different magic
It's like ninja smoke bombs
When they visit a village or city Tech will wander off to go trade rune cards
Ditches the others to go to collectors gatherings
Struck a deal with a god of knowledge and a god of strategy
In exchange for his sight and his majestic hair
This is why his vision is shit and his hair makes him look like he's 50 years old
Contract mark: intricate tattoos on his forearms
When he uses his magic his glasses glare up and the wind blows his long robes around dramatically with a green glow around him
Echo
uses elemental magic/controls the elements around him
uses magic to create prosthetic limbs
the strongest out of the entire batch magic wise
When Rex finds Echo again he makes a deal with a demon to save him
Rex trades his ability to be surprised and Echo's fucks to give
As soon as he wakes up he uses his magic to get his melanin back
He's kinda like a bard
Go in punching, ask questions later
10/10 has and will screw a dragon
The demon who saved Echo said there was a drawback to his magic
Echo has to use 20 sided dice to keep his magic in check
That led to him making his decisions based on a dice roll
If he gets a bad roll he just bodyslams the obstacle
keeps a wide array of elements on his person at all times
Uses beskar with a high mana level for his leg prosthetics
Contract mark- scars on his amputated appendages
depending on the element his aura is that color.
Hunter
Animal instinct
his senses are enhanced
his senses and strength are enhanced depending on the animal he decides to mimic
usually uses predators to mimic
while mimicking an animal their diet becomes his
there are times when he turns feral
he made a deal with a god of animals
gave up some of his common sense
Contract mark: his skeleton tattoo on his chest
When he uses his magic the animal he chooses is what his aura is shaped as
Rex
he struck a deal with a god of patience
The god gave him everlasting peace with a side of dealing with Banthashit
he saves all the spite for later when he bitch slaps sense into the others
According to @eyecandyeoz he reserves the strongest bitch slap for the biggest dumbass Anakin, Fives, and Hardcase
He traded his natural hair color for this power
Fun fact of the day: stress can turn your hair white
Contract mark: his hands glow red along with his eyes
Wolffe
After his fight with Asajj Ventress he was left in the snow
A pack of wolves find him and offer him a deal
They would heal him
In exchange at every full moon Wolffe would join a the pack as a wolf
Contract mark: his scarred eye glows
His powers turn him into a wolf at will
Gregor
This guy made a deal with the bouncey ball that belonged to a hyena
he did this when he got drunk and wandered into a zoo
the ball gave him the power to bounce back from anything within reason
Contract mark: ass tattoo of the pixar bouncey ball
Lore
Before the fall of the Republic only the Jedi held the secrets to magic. The Jedi claimed they were the gatekeepers of magic. They taught their students by intense studying and meditation. It was thought that suppressing emotions would make their magic stronger but it wasn't true for most.
Most people knew about the jedi and thought they were myths. But they were feared by parents because they took their children away claiming that they were made for a higher purpose. If not the jedi then the other practioners of magic would sweep the children away, the Sith. The Sith mainly used the deals side of magic in order to become stronger than their light-sided counterparts. But that all came to an end with the rise of a so called "savior" and a war fought with slaves.
The savior was corrupted by the darkest wizard of them all, Sheev Palpatine. With his corruption came the end of a war and a new era dawned on the worlds.

I'm not sure if I should make this the finale post or not to be honest because I plan on playing some of the DLCs soon, so I'll make this a 'light' finale post because I'm sure I've said more than enough through my playthrough.
Morrowind genuinely surprised me. I heard all the oldguard TES fans saying it's way different and some claiming it was miles better.
Specifically I remember when Oblivion came out I heard from somewhere that Oblivion was just "dumbed down Morrowind" and kid me was like "What the heck are you talking about, Oblivion is the best game in the world (right now)???"
But man, they weren't wrong, but that's hardly what I'd point at in Morrowind in comparison.
Then again my memory of Oblivion is all rose tinted nostalgia and half memories.
What Morrowind is to me today is a fantastic fantasy game with some really interesting lore, a villain I love, a world that feels alien, troubled, imperfect and intriguing, and a gameplay cycle that felt really satisfying to me from the very start to roughly level 20 or so.
I REALLY like how pitiful and overwhelmed I felt at the start of this game- it felt fucking awesome to me and I know for some that's a weird statement and others it's the most obvious thing in the world but man is it true.
Level 1 in Morrowind as a newbie who doesn't know up from down is like waking up in the woods naked with the sound of hungry wolves all around you.
It's brutal, and exciting- every little victory- a potion, a new dagger, a new piece of armor- feels like the world to you.
I LOVED the early game in Morrowind, more than I ever liked it in Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim, or Fallout 4 (yeah I'm looping the bethesda engine NV in).
Because I constantly felt like I was punching up at a behemoth but I was getting away with it from time to time until I started to feel more on par with the behemoth, and eventually I overcame and hit end game and really became the behemoth and that was fun in its own right.
But I've been "mega end game god" in like 900 dang games at this point, it's always fun! And feeling like I earned it (like here) makes it feel better! But the journey often beats it and Morrowind's journey was so fun to me.
But yeah, beat the main quest. I did a lot in this game, and barely scratched the surface.
Beating it immediately made me think of how fun it would be to challenge myself to beat it- or another objective- right from the start without dumping hundreds of hours into leveling because that early game is a treat.
About the only things I didn't fully love were most of the quest designs showing their age.
Nothing super egregious, but there really was a lot of extremely simple "fetch thing" "Kill thing" "Walk to place" quests that didn't hold additional story value to make up for it.
Not to say simple is bad, but to say having a LOT of my playtime being killing various creatures for no real story reason beyond being asked to makes some actions feel pointless and like busy-work.
There were also quests that DID tie story in, which was really nice to see- things like inter-guild relations becoming a thing for some quests, or some quests having consequences further down the quest chain depending on how you completed it, and of course (as implied) some quests having multiple solutions with some of those solutions being interesting in how you find out about them.
I mean I think it's really neat how the fighter's guild has like 4 quest givers and if you blindly follow them you'll be doing all kinds of questionable stuff with questionable end goals, but if you talk to each of them you'll find that one of them is much more trustworthy and honorable than the rest, and it becomes a common loop to be sent on a quest for the FG and swing by him to ask if the quest sounds legit- AND MANY AREN'T! AND HE OFFERS ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS! THAT'S COOL AND LET'S YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BEING TOO LOYAL AND FORGETTING YOUR MORALS BECAUSE YOU ARE "JUST PLAYING A GAME" BUT REWARDS YOU FOR QUESTIONING THAT LOYALTY AND SEEKING ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS! THAT'S AWESOME! Though the solution almost always being "just talk to the good guy before you do the quest" was slightly lacking, but such a cool idea.
But there wasn't a ton of this, but there also wasn't not a lot of this- it was an idea they clearly considered playing with and did when they could- I just wish there were both more and that it was used more on the menial tasks you're asked to do as well. I'm a sucker for multiple solutions is all, and consequences appearing later and altering how events play out or quests line up is always cool and I think it only happens a couple times in some guild quests if I'm not mistaken-
But again, I didn't do much in the grand scheme of things lol.
A TON of time invested and still, a metric fuckton to do including 100% of both expansions lol.
So- Morrowind. I really like this game :)
I think it's my favorite TES game, though I might change my mind whenever I revisit TES4, but I can at least say it's my favorite early game BY FAR and PROBABLY my favorite TES game.
I wonder if I can get buff enough to kill Dagoth Ur with like potion abuse. I haven't looked into it, all I know about him (and I knew before this gameplay also, I was just attacking out of curiosity) is that phase 2 rapidly regens health at like 2 billion a second or something, so you have to one shot him if at all possible.
Also I knew that he was supposed to be weaker depending on how many ash vampires you killed, but that that wasn't properly implemented (and I don't think the morrowind code patch bothers fixing it?).
Anywho- great game. I've been playing a lot of good games lately now that I think of it. I mean most of this blog is me playing good games, but I feel like, and I could be mistaken, but I feel like there was a stint there where I was playing "complicated" games and "games I don't enjoy but want to see the merit of so I'm being a sourpuss while I play".
Now I feel like the last 10 dang games were strictly good and or great. Can't say that's a bad thing :)
If you haven't ever played Morrowind before but you're familiar with say Skyrim, I'd honestly say give it a look. A look first- because it's a thick game to begin and you might be able to discern it's not for you based off a look- but a look none the less.
It's Skyrim with more RPG nonsense going on and a more brutal "rags to riches" hero story for your protag. Might be up your alley as much as it ended up being up mine :)
So up next is EITHER an entirely different game with some ocassional Morrowind posts as I touch on the expansions, or more direct Morrowind content as I emphasize the expansions until I finish them, but I'm leaning towards the former.
I think beating the main quest has earned Vaksten the Idiot a short break.
#RetPlays#Morrowind#TES#The Elder Scrolls#Also maybe I should make a new character for the expansions so I'm not OP but I dunno#might just crank the difficulty to max instead of leaving it unaltered and say that's good enough :P#Youtube

Love Is You - chapter 2
a/n: I made some new additions to the chapter while reading it. Wattpad, AO3 and Tumblr versions will be all different than each other😅 Whenever i read it before posting it on somewhere, i cannot stop myself and add new stuffs…
Ps: Severus is making an appearance in this chapter and we will see him more and more with each chapter😏
Also i am linking Sirius x Scar relationship post here, you can learn about their backstory😌
Scarlett has spent the night at her own house, of course she didn’t want to go back to their family house and even how much she needed a company tonight, she couldn’t go to her parents either since she didn’t know how to tell them what happened tonight.. Scarlett couldn't sleep even for a second; the moment she closed her eyes the bedroom scene appeared in her mind non-stop. So she decided to go to work early, there was no point in trying to sleep. She fixed herself as much as possible and headed to the Ministry of Magic. She went to the Minister of Magic's room directly, as the deputy minister she had to acquaint him about the conferences in Paris.
"Good morning sir."
"Good morning Scarlett. I wasn't expecting you that early. Have a seat please."
The Minister Dorian Blackwood poured some tea for themselves and opened a biscuit jar while she was sitting. They talked about Paris conferences for almost half an hour. The Minister has noticed that something was off with Scarlett since he knew her since she was little. But he decided to stay silent, if she wanted to talk she would.
"Before i leave, i need to tell you one more thing Dorian."
"Sure, i am listening."
Scarlett was scratching her hands and biting down on her lip. She was having second thoughts but she believed she had to do that. "I…I want to resign..."
Dorian raised his eyebrows in surprise, that was something he wasn’t expecting at all. "May i ask why? Because i see you as the next minister and i know you want that too, Scarlett. That was our plan."
"I do, i still do want that but i just can't work here anymore." She took a deep breathe, she continued to talk but her voice was shaking. "I don't know how to explain this at all but yesterday i found out something including a third party and i and Sirius are no longer in good terms. I don't want to come across with someone here and that someone is not Sirius..." Couple of tears escaped and ran down on her cheeks.
"Oh my dear girl...” Dorian walked up to her and rubbed her back to ease her pain a bit. Scarlett was like a daughter to him and he cared about her dearly. “I guess i understand the situation... but i don't want you to resign. Maybe we can do something else."
"What is that?" Scarlett looked at him questioningly.
"I am guessing that someone is not as important as you here so...I can do it right now."
She shook her head. "No not fire her, that won't be fair. It is my personal problem, Dorian."
"Okay whatever you want but just let me know if you change your mind, i can do anything for my lovely deputy minister. But i really want you to stay Scarlett, i don’t think you thought about that decision very clearly."
"I thank you for your kindness and for everything Dory but i don't think i will be in a good state of mind for a while. I don't even want to stay in London. Please accept my resign." Scarlett was almost begging at this point. The minister thought for a while then nodded slowly.
"I can't force you Scarlett, it is your decision in the end. But i am really upset about it, i will miss my partner in crime” Dorian gave her a sad smile. “Give me a week to arrange some stuff then you can fully resign. And you don’t have to come here this week, i will take care of it myself and promise me you will take care of yourself."
She nodded. "Thank you for your understanding, i am not happy about it either but that will be the best for everyone i guess... I cannot promise but i will try..."
Then she left the room before crying her eyes out, this was way harder than she thought. Then she went to the law department to arrange the divorce papers, this was even harder than the resign talk for her. It was hell of a day and she just wanted it to finish already. After the work, she went to their house to get some of her stuff since she didn’t have much in her house because it hasn’t been used for over 20 years. Unfortunately for Scarlett, Sirius has left the work early and he was at home. When he heard the door, he rushed to the doorway it had to be Scarlett.
"I knew you will be back Scarlett!" Sirius cheered with happiness, though he was looking rough. Apparently he didn’t have good night either.
"I didn't come here to stay, i will take some clothes then leave. I will be moving out as soon as possible." Scarlett said sternly without looking at him.
Before he could say anything else, she started to go upstairs where their bedroom was. Sirius followed her immediately like a puppy. She didn't want to enter the room after what she has seen yesterday but she had to, so she took a deep breath and started to pack a bag, avoiding looking at their bed.
"Scar, baby, we can talk and solve this, please."
She let out a laugh angrily. "We can solve it huh? You cheated on me right here, in OUR bed and now you are waiting for me to forget everything!? You have no idea how hard it is for me to be in this room right now. We are done, understand!? You will get the divorce papers in couple of days."
She took her suitcase and got out of the room as fast as possible. "I will take the rest of my stuff later."
"Scarlett..." he called out her name and held her hand before she could walk out the outside door.
She stood there for a second then turned to look at him for the first time today. The tears were collected in his moon coloured eyes, ah how much she loved his eyes. She has never seen him looking so sad, he was always the cheerful one with a grin on his lips. Seeing him like this gave her pain, she was very angry with him but the love she had for him wouldn’t disappear in a day. Then without a second thought she pressed her lips against his softly. It was a quick kiss, but it was full of mixed emotions. Then she pulled away and mumbled a "Goodbye." before she apparated and left Sirius there crying silently.
2 days have passed since Scarlett moved out and still she haven't talked to her kids or her parents about what's going on between her and Sirius. The twins were 21 years old so they could understand the situation, but she still didn't know how to tell them about it at all like their marriage was going great and in one night everything went upside down. Leonidas was working in New York and she didn't want to tell him through a letter, this would leave him with so many questions. He would probably come to London for Christmas, so Scarlett decided to wait till then. But Carina was working at Hogwarts and Scarlett got ready to go there, she didn’t want to lie to Carina through letters acting all was well. 2 hours later Scarlett was wandering around the castle, she hasn’t been there since she graduated. She didn't know where Carina's room was exactly, so she decided to go to the potions classroom since Carina was Professor Snape's assistant. She wasn’t ready to enter that class at all and that was why she avoided coming to Hogwarts for years but right now this was such a small problem beside the other things. Scarlett knocked on the class's door and heard the deep voice she knew very well saying "Come in." Severus Snape was ready to scold the person who interrupted their study but when he saw who it was, he stood there in shock, he couldn’t say a single word.
"Mum!?" Carina asked in surprise, she wasn’t expecting her at all.
"May i talk to my daughter privately, it is important." Scarlett requested but she was not looking at him directly.
Severus didn’t talk for couple of seconds then nodded lightly. "Yes. i will finish rest of the potion by myself Carina, you can leave."
Carina nodded and rushed to her mum. "Is everything okay mum?" She asked while they were leaving the class. Carina noticed she wasn’t looking any good, she wasn’t even wearing her signature red lipstick that she always do and that was concerning.
Carina escorted her to her chambers but she has started to panic, her mum’s silence wasn’t helping the situation at all.
"Mum could you please tell me what happened? Are my grandparents okay?"
"They are fine." Scarlett sat on the bed and motioned Carina to sit next to her. Scarlett's eyes have already filled with tears.
"Mummy? Are you alright?" Carina held her hand softy.
Scarlett shook her head as no, she was squeezing Carina’s hand to gain some power. "Carina, i and your dad... are having a divorce..." end of the sentence she was crying her eyes out.
"W-WHAT!? What happened mum!? I saw you two like 10 days ago and you were totally fine. What's that now?" She was in pure shock and couldn’t know how to act.
"We were... we were good at least that's what i thought... But apparently, we weren't because when i turned back from Paris, i found him..." she started to sob uncontrollably at this point, saying it out loud made it worse for her. "cheating..."
"Did you say cheating!? Daddy was cheating!?" This sentence was something that Carina has never imagined hearing in her life.
Scarlett just nodded; she was unable to talk.
Carina hugged her mum tightly "Shhh mummy, everything will be fine, we will get through it..."
She was trying to calm her mum down, but she was devastated herself too. Carina has always wanted a relationship like her parents had. They were the most in love couple she has ever seen in her life. But she just heard that her dad has cheated on her mum after all those years even they weren’t having any problems. Carina had no idea what to expect for the near future right now but she knew that she will be her mum’s side no matter what.

if you’re not @angelwiththeblue-box and you read this than the dilf in my pfp will kill you and not in a good way like I’d like to be killed by him you understand me
"Could you please just come back home?" Loki whined as he rubbed his palm over his thigh, sitting in his master bathroom in front of his toilet that he had spent the last hour throwing up in. "I know you have a 'job' or whatever, but I'm your husband, and that means you have to ditch it because I'm sick."
Stephen sighed gently on the other end of the phone. "I wish I could darling, I really do, but the universe could collapse if I leave now. And you're in the universe, so I can't let that happen."
Loki groaned, knowing his husband was right, but he felt like shit, and was therefore not up to listening to reason. "It's been three weeks I've been throwing up, and a month since you've been gone. Why is this mission so long?"
"Three weeks? Loki, go to the hospital, that's not normal!"
"I don't want to go to the hospital, they'll just drug me up for the stomach pain, and I want you to rub my back as I puke," Loki murmured with a little pout. "You're my husband, isn't that part of the criteria?"
"If I'm available, yes, but I'm sorry I can't easily and safely access you for at least another day. I promise I'll do my best to get back to you as quickly as possible, but you'll have to survive on your own until then."
Of course, Stephen was right. Loki knew that. So he wasn't going to complain anymore and make his partner mad at him. He was doing his best. "Fine. Just... be safe. Please. I need less to upset my stomach."
The crack of Stephen's smile was practically audible through the phone. It triggered Loki's own for the first time that day. "Of course baby. And take care of yourself too. Please, go to the hospital, or at least do some research as to what you can do at home. Maybe you can even figure out what's going on," he suggested. "Do you have any ideas yet?"
"Not in the slightest. I thought maybe food poisoning for the first day or two, as I had had some semi-old take out in your absence, but it's glaringly obvious that that's not it anymore. I can't imagine what it could be tho-" He suddenly realized something.
There was a pause on the other end as Stephen waited to see if Loki would complete the sentence that he abruptly stopped. He didn't. "Loki? Are you okay? Are you throwing up again?"
"No! No, I- I just have to go. I'll talk to you soon, okay? And no pressure to come back, I know you have your job, and it's incredibly important and all," Loki rambled out, jumping to his feet and speed walking out of the bathroom, a hand on his slightly enlarged and still badly hurting middle. Fuck. "I love you!"
"I love- um okay, I love you too. Get well so-"
"Bye!"
As soon as possible Loki hung up and shoved his phone in his pocket before finally reaching the library filled with tons upon tons of books of magic. And there was one exact one that he was looking for...
It took him 10 minutes, but the god of mischief did find it. A thin brown book with yellowing pages and faded letters was it, but it was intelligible nonetheless, and therefore useful. Most likely had it not been touched in centuries except when others around it were shifted.
Why?
It was a book of pregnancy spells.
Loki plopped down at a creaky wooden desk covered in Stephen's papers and quickly flipped through the pages, eventually discovering the section for pregnancy tests, and soon enough finding the page for intersex Jotunns.
The potion was thankfully simple enough and he concocted the liquid in a round glass bottle within a matter of minutes, only pausing when there was one ingredient left to add. A single drop of blood from the possibly expecting party. For that he spawned a tiny dagger in hand and hovered it just above his slightly trembling finger, trying to stab down just enough to bubble up a bead of blood, but finding it near impossible.
Maybe because it was the last ingredient. The one that once he dropped it inside the bottle, he'd be confirmed as either pregnant with an unplanned child that he wasn't even sure his husband would want, or nonpregnant and confirming that he had been throwing up for so long for something besides morning sickness. Loki was practically praying to every god in the universe that it was the latter.
Thankfully he eventually managed to pierce his skin and let a drop of blood splash down into the potion bottle. Then he squinted his eyes shut and hoped- prayed -that the liquid would turn red. Not green.
So of course when he cracked open his lids and took in the appearance of the glass container, it was green.
The god of mischief quite literally fell out of his chair and he ended up splayed out on the floor, staring at the ceiling, with his heart speeding a hundred miles an hour. His hands flew to his stomach.
It wasn't possible. Well it was, he and Stephen had had sex (many times) before he left for his mission, and he could actually even pinpoint the day that it happened on due to the little he knew about his body. It was during a time when they had both temporarily lost their powers, meaning that Loki's magic contraceptive was most likely not working. Fuck. He should have been smarter. Oh my god, I got pregnant in Stark's Tower?!?!
Somehow that made everything worse.
Even the pain that was currently making him curl in on himself and clutch where the baby was physically abusing his father. "Little bitch," Loki hissed as his nails dug into his palms almost deep enough to draw blood.
How was he going to tell Stephen? How on earth was he going to tell the man he had loved for almost seven years that he had their baby? How would he even react?
To be honest- Loki had no idea. They had talked about kids, and although Loki had discussed him being positive about it, Stephen hadn't really taken a clear stance on it. At least not in Loki's mind. It could have been that he was in the negative and didn't want to disappoint his partner, or maybe he just thought that it wasn't something that they had to worry about for a while, but the former was what was currently eating at Loki's brain.
What if he didn't want kids? He was a busy man, and Loki would understand not wanting to have to take more time out of his schedule than he already had to do for his partner. His head slammed into the wood of the floor from the mixture of mental and physical torture. He thought he might throw up again.
But then he heard footsteps.
"Holy shit, darling."
And it was Stephen's voice.
Soon enough Loki felt himself being slowly lifted up and his face pressed into a familiar shoulder, unfairly comforting arms wrapping around him. Loki was helpless to it and sunk into the feeling of him. "I'm so glad you're here," he whispered against his collar. "But also why the fuck are you here."
With a small chuckle Stephen pulled back- to both of their dismays -in order to face him as he explained. "I managed to pull a few strings, and let me just say I owe Wong a huge favor now."
"Oh come on darling, I may whine a lot but you're not supposed to actually stop everything just for me," he debuted with a little guilt growing over his pain. The latter of which was thankfully ebbing, most likely to the painkiller spells Stephen was sending to his abdomen as he rubbed his back. They were hard to self administer, so Loki couldn't be more thankful.
"Well too bad, I'm here to take care of you," Stephen insisted, attempting to move one of his hands down to his middle, only for Loki to grab it and press it against his cheek. "It's a husband's job after all."
Loki let out a weak smirk. "It's also a husband's job to not drag his partner away from his very real job of saving the universe."
"Oh, that gig? That's just a day job. You're my first priority darling."
There was so much goddamn love in his eyes as he stared adoringly at his husband, lightly dragging his thumbs over his cheekbones with a tiny but still beautiful smile, that Loki practically thought he was going to burst. He couldn't tell him. Not yet. Even the small chance that that love might fade just slightly was too much of a risk. So Loki just pulled Stephen into a hard kiss and ignored the life currently growing inside him. (After magically cleaning his mouth first, he was not kissing him with throw up still on his lips.) "Can we go lay down?"
"Of course, Dewdrop." As gently as possible did Stephen lift his husband up bridal style and carry him to their bedroom, doing his best not to hurt him or make him feel any worse than he already did.
Stephen whispered sweet nothings to Loki as he was laid down, telling him how much he was loved and how adorable he looked in his Columbia hoodie, turning him a crimson red despite him and Stephen having been married for over two years. The sheer amount of love the sorcerer supreme had for him would never cease to amaze and fluster him.
They were cuddling face to face in a honeymoon hug, bodies pressed close together, which did worry the enceinte god, but even though Stephen could most likely feel the small bump pressed up against him, he didn't say anything. What a gentleman.
~~
Loki woke up alone in bed. It was a little disappointing at first, but after he realized the slight tingling of a lingering painkiller and anti-nausea spell on his abdomen, the negative emotion turned to soft happiness. God he loved his husband.
Not being in pain or feeling the need to throw up for the first morning in weeks, Loki tossed the covers aside in order to find Stephen and cling onto him like a koala bear.
Predictably, he was in the kitchen. "Tea?" he offered with a small smile, dipping a bag into the cup of hot water after Loki responded positively. He already had a cup of coffee for himself in hand.
'For Fox Sake'. The dad joke was fitting. It made Loki feel like all the spit in his mouth vanished at once. "Thank you."
"It's the least I could do, Dewdrop. How's your pain?" Stephen thankfully spread his fingers over his ribs instead of his stomach, most likely thinking it was due to sensitivity and not... size.
"It's pretty minimal," Loki honestly answered. "Thanks to you."
Stephen wrapped his arm around his back and kissed him softly. "Good. You're just lucky to have your own personal doctor magician to help," Stephen teased, to which he received a cute nose scrunch and another kiss for.
"It's only fair, as I certainly didn't get married for money."
After a loud WOW Stephen nosed into his neck and bit down lightly on the sensitive part under his jaw, getting him to shut up while he marked his territory. "A little rude, baby, but I suppose I can let it go for someone as cute as you."
"You married a hot criminal, you did sign up for it."
The sorcerer supreme kissed the corner of his mouth with a grin. "I signed up for everything when I said 'I do' just as the roof was blown off by the zombie demons, I promise you."
Loki's stomach twisted despite the magic. Would their vows come crashing down? Because of him? He suddenly felt like throwing up again. But Stephen was staring at him with a raised eyebrow as he sipped from his cup. He could read his face. Of course he could, he was perfect. He had to say something. He had to say it. Now. He was looking at him. Could he see it? Did he already know? Was he already thinking of leaving? "I'M PREGNANT!"
The smash of his mug was imminent. It was like everything suddenly shifted into slow-mo as Stephen's face grew shocked and his favorite mug was falling quickly to the ground. Yet he still couldn't save it, and the sound of ceramic meeting the wooden floor made him wince gently and take a step back. "Could you run that by me one more time?" he whispered gently.
"I'm... pregnant," Loki murmured with much less power in his voice than before. "It's why I've been so nauseous and in so much pain lately. I only found out last night. Just minutes before you came back. And I didn't know how to tell you without possibly shattering everything we already have, so I didn't say anything. ...Would you say something? Please? I feel like I'm dying inside despite the fact that there's a second life there- please say something."
Stephen still didn't say a word- only stepping over the mess and cupping Loki's face in his slightly trembling hands. The god couldn't figure out what emotion he was feeling. "We're going to have a baby?"
"Uh- yeah. We are. I mean we shouldn't make it concrete until three months, and it's only been six weeks, but yeah. We're... we're having a baby."
The silence crushed Loki's windpipe as he stared expectantly at his husband.
Until finally a huge grin bloomed on Stephen's face- practically stretching from ear to ear -and he grabbed his husband tight, kissing him hard until they were both breathless. And then they kissed more. Relief exploded in Loki's chest and allowed his body to relax from the tight coil he had winded himself into, and letting him hold onto his husband as he kissed him stupid.
"We're having a baby," Stephen whispered to him with nothing but glee radiating off of him, pulling him into a hug that time until he suddenly jumped back with a gentle hand on his stomach. "Oh- sorry. I should be careful." While still smiling like crazy Stephen began to carefully explore all the differences in his abdomen that he had missed in his absence. "God I love you."
"Not as much as I love you," Loki retaliated with an adoring expression that Stephen had to kiss. "Why was I so worried?"
"Because you haven't realized that my love is not in any way conditional, and I will quite literally never stop loving you. No matter what." Stephen pressed his lips together in a small smile as his fingers traced over his abdomen once more. "Never stop loving both of you. No matter what."
The rest of the day was spent in bed. Spooning that time so Stephen could hold his stomach and whisper to his husband about how great they'd be as a little family of their own; just him, Stephen, and their own little bundle of joy. "I'll teach them medicine, you'll teach them how to commit crimes, it'll be perfect," he whispered with a few gentle kisses down his neck. "We'll become so much more insufferable than usual, and they'll be too."
It was perfect. The universe fell away as they curled together in their bed- the three of them actually -and just whispered and kissed and loved each other like nothing else mattered but them in that moment.

My self insert headcanons (because I'm bored)
☆ Hair + eye color: Black (or like, a really dark brown) ; Height: 164 cm (5 ft. 4 in.) ; Weight: laughs ; very bi
☆ She's from a country up north where it snows most of the year, so when she arrived at Night Raven College, she kept complaining it was hot when it wasn't even that hot??
☆ She's tsundere. Whenever she talks about someone she likes she will literally say "I will punch him in the face. I do NOT LIKE HIM SHUSH"
☆ She's actually very smart. Surprise test at the end of the lesson? She'll ace it. A quiz at the end of the week? She'll barely read her notes and get a good score anyways. But that test at the end of the term? She'll either barely pass that. She will not study unless it's the night before a big test. Homework? She's doing that either the morning of or an hour before it's due. The professors keep telling her to try harder but all she says his "Haha that sounds hard see ya."
☆ Her highschool grades are actually really good; nothing under an 85. So in college everyone is just scratching their heads because like what happened to her??
☆ Speaking of high school, she was very different. On her report card it says "She's such a sweet and attentive girl" and the professors are just like "This is Alesia right????????"
☆ Always tired but never sleepy. She will always complain like "That sounds like too much work," or "Haha n o I'm tired" but like always sleeps at like 4 or 5 in the morning. She just has a really hard time sleeping so Silver makes sure she's asleep at a good time. They cuddle and the warmth of the hug and his heartbeat are so soothing hMMM SEND HELP I CANT DO THIS
☆ She drank too many coffees and energy drinks to the point where it does nothing to her anymore; she's decided to quit on drinking those (and that why she's always tired lololol)
☆ She has really cold hands. Like, whenever someone holds them they go "How are your hands this cold??? It's not even cold?????" and she doesn't know how that happens either.
☆ Always has back pain, desperately needs a massage. Her spine probably needs to be fixed but she just doesn't do it and just says "I live with it a ha"
☆ Loves wearing cute clothes; has lots of skirts and crop tops. Calls herself a thot even though she gets embarassed from compliments lololol
☆ She and Silver literally share one braincell (with like 10 other people) like they can't even remember their own birthdays someone help them please
☆ Proficient in ice magic, and sucks at fire magic ; on the rare occassion that she does panic, she freezes the area around her. Area of effect is 3 meters.
☆ Her best subject is sciences (that includes Divus' potions class but she does something wrong on purpose) ; her worst is math.
☆ Whenever she's too focused on something, she forgets whatever is going on around her so sometimes she goes a whole day without eating and be like "Why am I hung-- oH MY GOD IT'S 2 AM????"
☆ An ambivert; usually makes friends easy but sometimes she'd rather be alone.
☆ Loves looking up the night sky. They're so pretty and majestic and she loves learning the lore behind the constellations.
☆ "What I wanna do after college? Lol bold of you to assume I have anything planned."
☆ Is not ticklish, but for some reason she laughs when she's scared. Like you're gonna threaten to break her arm?? "A haha ha a no please haha"
☆ Speaking of getting scared, she loves watching horror movies but desperately needs either someone to make jokes with so it's less scary or someone to hug.
☆ SPEAKING OF MOVIES, this rarely happens but she does cry when something emotional happens. She tries to keep her crying quiet but will lean on someone's shoulder and sobs a bit.
☆ Is actually good at baby sitting, she's been doing it ever since junior high school.
