Ok, so who all wants to see some ancient designs?? Thought this might be fun since there's so many new people around lately, and even the not-so-new people may not know about these! Here's the first 3 skaters I ever made, back when I was still Syppah's Cute Creations mainly doing amigurumi crochet:
Creepy Eyes is a true OG that's been around since about July 2015! It isn't very popular on skaters or joggers since I stopped doing cons, but it's still going strong as midis and maxis. I've also used the pattern on eyeglass cloths, face masks, scrunchies, tights, zipper bags, and more. I don't think I'll ever fully retire it, haha. The other two up there are Rainbow Narwhals and Cute Eyes (original light pink version below, got the hot pink version above as a misprint afterwards).
The next ones I got that no longer exist were Rainbow Candy, Double Rainbow Candy, and Happy Bees:
tiny prehistoric pics because i can only find them in my old old etsy's sales history, haha As you can see, besides Creepy Eyes the vibes were incredibly different. I wanted to make clothing that could go alongside my Ëâ*°â˘.â
¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â
đđśđđśđžđž đśđđžđđđđđđž đ
đđđđ˝đžđđâ
¡.¡´¯`¡.¡â
.â˘Â°*âË even though my personal style and fashion interests were/are much more goth. That leaked through again with the Guro Guts skirt next.
The first ever Guro Guts skirt was made just in time for Halloween 2015 In 2016, plushies were still my main focus and for a number of health reasons I was essentially dead that whole year. I don't think I added any new skirts at all..
The next big addition to my skirts was in April 2017 with this set:
Demon Summoning and Vampire Night have survived until this day. Good Medicine on the top left was only made in this colorway for a short time before I switched to a purple & pink version that I also kawaii'd up. Vaporwave and Angel Summoning are both pretty much defunct as of 2021.
2017 Blue/Red Good Medicine, 2018(2019?) Purple/Pink Good Medicine. Both are discontinued
In late 2017, I separated out my clothing shop from my crochet shop and started going all-in on a more goth leaning aesthetic. Witch Vamp (originally "Witch Vampire") was truly born. A lot of designs from that time are ones you'll still recognize today
The only other one that's pretty much gone these days is Rainbow Galaxy. I used to have it in skaters and joggers, but it's another one that wasn't as popular online as it was at cons. They're also like A Lot especially for my generally goth-ish shop
Rainbow Galaxy Skater (designed in 2017), Rainbow Galaxy Joggers (2018 or 2019.. unsure, haha) I last ran preorders with Rainbow Galaxy in 2021, but I don't think I got many orders. I've just let them fizzle out since then. But the skirt semi-lives on in the glorious mistake that is the Bomb Pop Skater
Originally I had 3 of these because a few Rainbow Galaxy Skaters got printed without any yellow. But like, what a good mistake! Since then I've ordered them this way on purpose. EDIT: Another discontinued skirt was the Black Widow's Web. Idk even when I made it first. 2018? But it died in 2021.
Next casualties, between 2020-2022 I discontinued a few more joggers due to slow sales:
Astrology Joggers, Creepy Eyes Joggers, Dark Galaxy Joggers (actually the 2nd version. V1 was a bit too.... phallic with the goo drips lmao) So after that, I think the main casualties have been *item types* rather than designs. I've dropped a lot of things (lanyards, zipper bags, wallets, all-over-print tshirts, tights, pvc charm keychains, and soon enamel pins) because they were great for cons, but don't really sell online. Or because they became obsolete (skirts w/out pockets).
It's been a long journey! And if you go all the way back to my crocheting days, I've been at this whole "self-employed" thing since the day I turned 18 in 2008 and was able to open up an Etsy shop (had other jobs too back then tho, like I was a pharmacy tech for 2 1/2 years). Hope you all enjoy seeing these designs from the old days and learning more Witch Vamp lore!!!

Week 9: Instagram Filters
welcome back to nnâs blog đ˛ ࣪ââĄđ
Hello there my lovely peeps! Itâs been a minute, but guess what topic I'm going to talk about today? Hmm⌠letâs talk about something we all use but rarely think about â Instagram filters. Now, let's just dive into this fun topic!
A random question â§Ë ŕź â・Ë
Have you ever posted a selfie and scrolled through the filters, trying to find the perfect one that makes you look just right?
To be honest, so am I! Instagram filters can be super fun and creative, but they also have a bigger impact than we might realize.
Letâs be real for a second.
Who hasnât felt that little boost of confidence when you find a filter that smooths out your skin, brightens your eyes, or gives you that perfect sun-kissed glow? Itâs like magic, right? But hereâs the thing: while filters can make us feel pretty, they can also set some pretty unrealistic beauty standards (Mckay 2020).
Take the perfect selfies we see all over our feeds. They often have flawless skin, sparkling eyes, and those cute little hearts floating around. Itâs easy to forget that these images are often filtered and edited. And when we compare our real, unfiltered selves to these idealized versions, it can sometimes make us feel a bit⌠like less than perfect (Chae 2017).
Remember the hot trend in 2021? The glitter mask filter was everywhere! It gave everyone that sparkling, ethereal look, like we all just stepped out of a fairy tale. It was super fun, but also a perfect example of how these filters can create a kind of fantasy version of ourselves (Pavlova 2020).
And letâs not forget the iconic dog filter selfie that took over our feeds back in 2016. Who didnât try it at least once? It was cute, playful, and made us all feel a bit more adorable with those floppy ears and nose. Itâs amazing how a simple filter can add a touch of fun and whimsy to our photos (Omar 2016).
ROSĂ from BLACKPINK using Snapchat Dog Filter
But donât worry, filters can also be a tool for self-expression, it can be a fun way to play around with different looks and moods without taking things too seriously. Sometimes when you scroll through your Instagram explore feed, you will see some people also often post unfiltered, candid photos, reminding us that real beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. They show us that itâs totally okay to love yourself, filters or not (Lupinetti 2021).
So, how do we balance the fun of filters with staying true to ourselves? Hereâs my opinion: enjoy filters, use them to express your creativity, but donât let them define your worth.
"Remember that everyone you see online has their own insecurities, and those perfect pics are just a highlight reel." (Wood 2019)
So, after finishing my blog, what are your thoughts on Instagram filters? I'd love to hear them!
Now this is the end for today, stay tuned for my next blog! see ya <3

youtuber Sukuna
I beg you to read the shitposts I made about this, they are delicious. You donât have to of course but...if you loved me you would :) s/n = screen name, and I hope you chuckle at Sukunas screen name
Content warning: uhmhm lowkey incel shit(mean internet comments and whatnot)
part two --- part 3
Name: Sukuna. Age: 25. Height: 6 foot 5 inches. Occupation: toxic Youtuber, fitness trainer and hot guy.
Sukuna wasnât exactly known for being kind. He wasnât nice to others, rarely having anything good to say about anyone, and heâd made a successful Youtube career out of it. First starting as a fitness trainer at his gym, through encouragement from his clients and the notion of a quick cash grab, he started Youtube.
He didnât care about it and that reflected in the quality of his videos and editing. He didnât have consistent uploads, just filming and posting videos whenever he wanted, analytics be fucked. But somehow, that worked out for him, and he quickly found himself with over two million subscribers just frothing at the mouth for his next video.
And those subscribers were some of the worst people. Sukuna didnât care about fostering a safe space online for others, not in the slightest. His comment sections were atrocious, both on his Youtube and his Instagram. It was full of toxic men one-upping each other constantly and dragging on each other for not being able to work out as much as Sukuna did.
Sukuna was a large part of why his fanbase were so toxic. He himself often made bad comments about others, whether fellow creators or people that happened to appear in the backgrounds of his videos, and on more than one occasion heâd been âcancelledâ. None of that mattered though, all he cared about was shitting on other people and making money.
Sometimes he played video games and posted it, but not too often. Sukuna often stated he wasnât so much of a fucking lonely loser that heâd play video games all the time, and so the gaming videos he did post were few and far between. He played angry shooter games and GTA, mindless button clicking he could get lost in for a few hours for a video.
Laying in bed one night after uploading his most recent video, one where he rages at 12 year olds on GTA online, Sukuna was just scrolling through his phone mindlessly. After he uploads video game content, like clockwork, he gets recommendations for gaming channels. He only watches a few of them, mostly leaving mean comments saying what losers they are, but one catches his eye.
Heâs never been recommended this kind of video before. The thumbnail is light and bright with some pink aesthetic lights in the back. But the most enticing thing is the person in the middle, cute pink cat ear headphones on and a bright smile.
âLetâs seeâŚâ Sukuna mumbles to himself, mindlessly clicking the video. He hasnât even read the title, he only clicked it because they were cute, and here he is nearly blinded by the bright setup they have.
âHi everyone, itâs (Y/N) here and Iâm really excited today! Weâre going to be playing this new game I found!â Sukuna is immediately enraptured by the sound of your voice, watching how your face changes as you talk. His eyes drift off to the decor behind you, cute plushies and healthy plants, and some twinkling fairy lights. Thereâs books as well, and your chair is one of those ergonomic gamer chairs he has as well but in pink.
Sukuna watches the video dumbly, totally in the dark about whatever youâre doing, but loving it all the same. All he knows is that he likes the sound of your voice, and when you laugh and smile at a funny part in the game, it makes a light flush come to his cheeks.
It only takes one video for Sukuna to spiral into more of your content. He watches a video on your gaming setup, and heâs surprised that so much technology can come in pink. He watches a video on how you edit, a few of you cooking in your kitchen, and even a few vlog videos.
He quickly subscribes to your channel, and when you plug your social media, he immediately goes there. Pulling up your Instagram, he stares at your profile picture and almost audibly coos at you for being cute.
Your profile is just as cute as your videos are and Sukuna barely remembers to follow you before heâs going through your whole feed, liking every picture he sees. Sometimes he leaves comments, only one word though, âcuteâ. Heâs never liked something so outright cute before, it wasnât who he was and it definitely didnât fit with his brand.
Falling asleep after following you on every platform, Sukuna wakes up thinking about you as well. And he also wakes up to hundreds of comments from all his accounts, bombarding him with questions and screenshots from last night.
âSUKUNA WHY WOULD YOU LIKE THIS SHIT?!â
âOMG Sukuna liked (Y/N)s posts!!â
âSukuna is so gross and toxic, you better stay away from (Y/N)!â
âSUKUNA YOU GAY NOWâ
âEW why the fuck do you like this bitch?â
There were hundreds of comments that he waded through. Most were from his fans, expressing disgust at how many photos of yours heâd liked and wondering why he, Sukuna, most heterosexual alpha male on the planet, would like a pretty in pink Youtuber who had bubbly intros and whined when their animal crossing villagers wanted to move away.
Other comments were from your fans, some in awe that he would like you considering how much he said he hated overly cute things. Other fans expressed concern, worried what this might mean for their favorite Youtuber. Did Sukuna want to cause problems, potentially hurting you? He did have a reputation of bullying others, so this wasnât far fetched.
Checking your Instagram, you didnât make any comment about it. There wasnât any update or anything, but on his end he was being tagged in endless Twitter threads with screenshots of him liking your posts and commenting under them.
âFor fucks sake.â He grunted, clenching his phone in his hands. The amount of notifications he was getting were starting to upset him and he nearly threw his phone to get them to stop.
Ignoring his phone for the rest of the day, Sukuna went to the gym like he always did and trained with his clients. Some of them brought it up to him, asking him if he had a mind break last night and forgot what he was doing. Sending them harsh glares, Sukuna refused to talk about it.
âOh my fucking god.â Sukuna nearly wailed when he got home, finally checking his phone. His name and yours had begun trending, and the hashtag #protect(Y/N) was also. Muttering angrily under his breath, Sukuna turned on Instagram live.
âOkay what the fuck!â He shouted, seeing the live become instantly flooded with people all screaming about you and him. âYouâre all fucking annoying, you know that?â Glaring harshly at the camera, he read some of the comments that went by.
âWHYâD YOU LIKE (Y/N)S POSTS FROM 2017â
âAre you two secretly dating??â
âCOLLAB!â
âWho gives a shit why I liked their stuff, youâre a fucking weirdo for keeping track of me. And we arenât secretly dating, dipshits.â Rolling his eyes, Sukuna scoffed as more comments came in begging for a collaboration. âAnd think about it you morons, why would we collab? Our shit is too fucking different, what would we even film about?â
Sukuna stayed on Instagram live for nearly an hour answering questions asking about you. Every time he had to answer that you werenât secretly dating, he got a little more annoyed. Not at the comments themselves but at the fact that it was true; you didnât even know he existed.
Ending the live in a huff, Sukuna didnât feel any better than before, and it was made even worse by the fact that everything he said was being relayed to Twitter, and you were tagged in every tweet.
âThese idiots!â Staring at his phone, Sukuna couldnât believe what he was seeing. On your Instagram stories, youâd posted a q&a for your followers, and nearly all of the comments were about Sukuna.
âHi everyone! No, me and Sukuna arenât dating!â You said, laughing a little to ease how uncomfortable you were. âTo be honest, Iâve never even heard of him before! As you know, my content is very...different from his, so our circles donât exactly intersect. But Iâm always happy to have new followers and potential friends!â
âFuck me.â Sukuna groaned, cringing at how uncomfortable you looked having to address the sudden onslaught of questions. For once he wished heâd actually given a shit about his online presence, so that maybe one day your circles could intersect. He knew he scared you, he scared a lot of people, and this was just proof.
âUh, Sukuna if you see this, hi itâs nice to meet you!â You said in the next slide, puffing out your cheeks and waving cutely at the camera. It made Sukuna blush, and he hated it. âThank you for following me and liking my content! I was very surprised that you found me!â
âOf course I did, idiot, youâre fucking cute.â He muttered under his breath.
âI know a lot of people are asking for us to do a video together and I know our content is really different, so donât feel pressured to respond or anything, but the offer is open! If youâd like, we can collab on something.â
âOn what?â He asked like you were there.
âI cook sometimes, and I know you cook too! Maybe we can make a cooking video? You can teach me how to make healthy food or something!â Sukuna could tell a fake laugh when he heard one, and you definitely had one right now. âAnyways, thank you! Bye Sukuna!â But hearing you say his name cutely like that made him not care.
He nearly responded right away, accepting the collab offer now that youâd spoken about it, but he didnât want to seem desperate. He watched through the rest of your Instagram stories, going back and replaying the parts where you talked about him over and over and his heart clenched every time when you said his name.
In the dead of night, Sukuna DMâs you after watching your latest video and leaving the simple comment âcheck your DMâsâ.
âFuck, what should I say?â Heâs suddenly stumped as he looks at the keyboard. Typing and retyping a message, in the end all he can say is hi. He doesnât expect a reply, ever, but when he gets a vibration on his phone two seconds later he jumps to read it.
(S/N): hi Sukuna! :)
(cursedgod): hey
Real fucking smart, repeating what he just said.
(S/N): is there something you wanted to talk to me about?
(S/N): I hope you havenât been annoyed at all the notifications youâve been getting!
(cursedgod): No itâs okay
(cursedgod): we can collab if you want
Good Sukuna, good. Play it cool, donât let them know that your fingers are actually trembling because youâre nervous.
(S/N): do you want to?? I donât want to pressure you! I know weâre pretty different haha
(cursedgod): yeah, let's do it. Cooking?
(S/N): sure!
Looking around his home, he was suddenly assaulted with the fact that he didnât have any furniture. He barely had a proper bedroom, just a mattress on a bare frame and a dresser. His lounge room was the same with his computer setup in one corner and then nothing else. There was only a couch, a mounted TV and a fold out table and chairs for his dining room.
(cursedgod): I know a studio kitchen we can use, Iâll send you the address
Thank god heâd done promo work for a brand in a studio one day, otherwise heâd be fucked.
(S/N): awesome! Iâm free next Saturday!
And just like that, it was a date. Well, a meeting. Sukuna knew it wasnât a date, but his heart still thumped like it was one. Confirming the time, he ended the conversation with a curt goodbye and obsessed about it throughout the night.
When the day to meet you came, Sukuna nearly ran late trying to pick out his clothes. Heâd never cared about looking good or presenting himself well in front of others, whatever version of him he turned up in was what they got. But for you, he wanted to try a little harder.
Waiting outside the studio space, Sukuna rubbed his hands together nervously. Youâd messaged a day or two ago offering to put the video on your channel since it probably wouldnât fit his aesthetic, so he didnât have to bring his shitty camera equipment.
âS-sukuna?â Snapping his head up, Sukunas mouth fell open looking at your curious face a few feet away, an Uber driving off behind you. You were even cuter in person, just his fucking luck. How was he expected to act like a normal person when his recent obsession was here looking better than he could have imagined.
âHi.â What comes out is a grunt, not the smooth word heâd hoped. He can see you eyeing him up, taking in all the thick and corded muscles of his body. It made his chest puff out a little, he worked hard for this physique and to have you so openly looking at him made him happy.
âItâs nice to meet you!â Sticking your hand out, you smiled politely at him.
âSame.â Shaking your hand with a firm grip, Sukuna could feel the difference in your palms. Yours was soft and nicely moisturized and he had callouses everywhere and a few cuts and scrapes.
Opening the door for you, Sukuna led you to the studio space heâd rented out. It was a clean and modern kitchen, not unlike his own, but it had appliances and looked actually lived in. Helping you set up a few camera angles, Sukuna felt a pang of nerves hit him in the stomach.
âSukuna, can we take a picture together?â You asked before starting, and Sukunas brow furrowed deeply. Why would you want to take a picture with him? His expression must have scared you, because you quickly backtracked. âF-for promo for this video, on Instagram and stuff!â
âSure.â God, did he feel bad or what. He shouldnât have made that face at you, now you wouldnât look him in the eye. Crouching down to get the right angle for you, Sukuna watched you pick a cute animal filter.
âJust do what I do.â Throwing up a peace sign, you cutely tilted your head from side to side and smiled. Sukuna tried to do the same but he looked awkward, and most of all he was blushing pretty bad.
You snapped a multitude of pictures, some at different angles and some with different filters, and in all of them Sukuna was blushing at least a little. He managed to smile more as it went on, even laughing at one of the filters.
âThanks! Iâm going to post these really quick and then we can get started!â Giving him a brief smile, you turned back to your phone and set about editing some of the pictures. Looking over your shoulder, Sukuna could see that he looked like a blushing high schooler meeting their idol for the first time and not a grown man.
Once the photos were posted and you tagged him in everything, it was time to start. Setting up your marks on the floor, you took a generous drink of water and cleared your throat.
âAre you ready for the intro? Iâll start it and introduce you, okay?â Youâd actually prepared a script for yourself, and showed Sukuna as well.
âOkay.â Stepping in front of the camera, Sukuna bristled at feeling you so close to him. Your arm brushed his casually as you were fixing your shirt, and Sukuna was glad heâd worn his most expensive cologne for this.
âHi everyone, welcome to today's video! As you know, Iâm (Y/N), and today we have a special guest today!â Throwing your arms in the air, you motioned to Sukuna.
âHi.â He nodded, barely cracking a smile. He could feel you looking at him like you wanted to say something, but he didnât look.
âSo, many people have been asking for us to do a collaboration and itâs finally here!â Clapping your hands lightly, you rocked on your heels and nudged his shoulder with yours. âDo you want to tell them what weâll be doing today?â
âUh-â The playful nudge youâd given him was enough to make Sukuna short circuit. âI-I-â He suddenly couldnât remember how to speak. âRice?â
âLetâs try that again.â You laughed. âDo you want to tell them what weâll be doing today?â This time, you didnât nudge him with your shoulder.
âWeâre gonnaâŚâ the words were on the tip of his tongue, they wanted to come out and be spoken but he couldnât do it.
âItâs okay, itâs okay!â Nodding reassuringly, you took a deep breath in and out, and Sukuna shakily copied. âOne more try?â When he looked at you, Sukuna expected to see a hint of annoyance in your face, but there was none. You were just smiling softly at him, waiting for his answer.
âYeah. Iâll uh, Iâll get it next time.â Stepping away from the camera, Sukuna took a drink of water and cleared his throat. Cracking the bones in his neck, he took a deep breath and came back. âLetâs do it.â No more fucking embarrassments.
âDo you want to tell them what weâll be doing today?â You asked for the third time, slightly swaying your body side to side this time.
âWeâre gonna make katsudon today.â Finally, the words he wanted to say came out.
âThatâs right! As you can see, Sukuna is really fit!â You immediately hopped in, giving his arm a brief squeeze. âAnd he knows how to make a ton of healthy meals!â
âMhmm.â
âSo I asked if he could help teach me, and all of you at home, how to make it!â Smiling at the camera, you waited a few seconds before relaxing and turning it off. âDid you like that? We can refilm it if you want.â
âNo, itâs okay.â Running a hand through his hair, he pointed to the bag of rice heâd brought. âLetâs get started on this shit.â
Taking fifteen minutes to film the two of you filling up the rice cooker, when it was over, you set about getting aesthetic shots of the other ingredients. Sukuna tried to seem casual off to the side on his phone, but he was really watching you.
Getting started on chopping the ingredients, Sukuna somehow managed to say the things he was supposed to without stuttering too badly. He was amazed that you could make the things he was doing sound so interesting, your narration as you held the camera and tried to do things yourself was impressive to the man that barely knew anything about cameras.
âSukuna, I need help cutting the meat.â You whined, tapping the meat on the cutting board with a knife. âI donât remember how you showed me.â
âHere.â Without thinking, Sukuan grabbed your hand with the knife in it and moved it for you. âYou just have to move your wrist more, itâs not that hard.â Doing it a few times, when Sukuna felt your chest expand with air against his, thatâs when he realized how close the two of you were. âS-sorry.â Immediately jumping back, he stared at the floor.
âThanks!â Giving him a smile, you kept at it.
âIâll fry the meat.â Stepping in as soon as you were done, Sukuna already had the hot oil ready. He was eager to cook and do something with his hands instead of - what he felt like - was awkwardly watching you off to the side.
âOkay!â Grabbing the camera, you focused on the pan. âYouâre really good at this, Sukuna!â
âT-thanks.â Staring directly at the pan, Sukuna didnât look away. Even with the hot oil popping up from the pan a few times and burning his fingers, he didnât flinch at all.
âOw!â But you did. Your hand had gotten too close, and when Sukuna flipped the meat, some of the oil had gotten on your hand.
âShit.â Abandoning the pan, Sukuna was ready to drag you over to the sink for some cool water.
âI-itâs okay, it was only a little.â Shaking your stinging hand, you point to the food. âBut I think the meat might burn.â
âShit!â
Narrowly avoiding disaster with the meat, when it came time to cook the eggs, you made a joke about how you liked your eggs in the morning and Sukuna burnt them almost immediately. While not an overtly sexual comment, the implications of the words still affected him.
Somehow, he managed to make the dish come together and while his plated dish didnât come out the best, yours looked at least halfway decent with overcooked meat and burnt eggs. The only things not messed up were the rice and vegetables, and even then Sukuna was surprised.
âWe did it everyone, we made katsudon!â Holding up the bowls, you smiled big and nudged Sukunas shoulder again. âYou saw we had a few mishaps along the way, but thatâs okay, thatâs what made it fun.â
âYeah, it was fun.â Sukuna chuckled. Despite him being more nervous than heâd ever thought possible, he had fun cooking alongside you.
âSukuna, will you try mine? I made it super pretty and everything.â Holding your dish up to him, Sukuna wasnât expecting you to do that. Now he felt bad that his looked so ugly and like a teenaged boy made it; he almost said no.
Eating yours though, somehow it tasted better than he was expecting. It must have been how you prepared it, and the fact that you cared so much about the presentation. Eating it in silence, he let you eat in peace as well for a few minutes and compliment the food to the camera.
âAlright, thatâs the end of the video!â Putting your bowl down, you turned to Sukuna. âI had so much fun today, thanks for filming this with me.â Now was his chance to make everything better. Putting his bowl down and bolstering himself with confidence, Sukuna threw his arm over your shoulder and pulled you close to him.
âThank you (Y/N), I really did enjoy today. I hope we can film again soon!â He squeezed your shoulder and smiled really big at not only you but the camera as well. He knew he was blushing, he knew that even the tip of his nose was a nice rosy shade, but he didnât care. If people teased him for it, then so be it. But he wanted you to know how he truly felt.
âR-really? You want to?â You asked, looking up at Sukuna from your place smooshed against his body.
âReally.â
âAww, well you heard it here first everyone! Sukuna wants to shoot another video with me!â Clapping your hands a few times, you waved at the camera. âOkay, bye everyone!â
âBye.â Sukuna waved too, waiting a few seconds before letting you go and turning off the camera.
âSukuna, did you really mean it? You want to film another video with me?â You were in utter disbelief. All this time, heâd just seemed very standoffish, if not a little awkward around you. You were happy to film this video with him, he had way more followers than you and it would help boost both your channels, and to hear him say that just made it even better.
âYeah, I was serious.â Sukuna spoke around stuffing his mouth with the food he still had left. He was more hungry than he thought, the nerves doing a good job of twisting his stomach during the video. Now that itâs over, he can finally relax.
âThat makes me really happy.â Eating the rest of your food as well, you leant against the counter. âThis is gonna sound kind of mean, but I was really scared to film with you today. I thought you were going to be really mean.â
âShit, you did?â He grimaced, letting out a sigh. âSorry I had you worried.â He could already imagine the comments you would get from his fans.
âItâs okay! Youâre actually way nicer in person, I was surprised!â
âThatâs good.â
âAnd youâre really buff, you have muscles in places I didnât even know were possible!â You laughed bashfully at that comment, and avoided looking at him when he stared at you in shock. âI couldnât help but noticeâŚâ
Were you checking him out? Had you been checking him out this whole time and he didnât even realize? He had seen you eyeing him up when you first met, but were you looking at him like that at other times as well? Now heâd really have to watch your video to see if it was true.
âThanks, itâs my job.â Could he have said that any lamer? âMy job outside of all this, I mean. Iâm a trainer at this fancy gym downtown.â
âOh, Iâve seen some of your videos at your gym! I know which one youâre talking about.â
âYou do? Youâve seen my videos?â If he wasnât surprised before, he was now.
âYeah, you know I had to do a little research beforehand.â You nodded, beginning to clean up the dishes around you. âAnd I know youâve already watched almost all of my videos, so it only seemed fair.â
Did you have to bring that up? Now Sukuna was embarrassed again.
âY-yeah, I did.â Clearing his throat, Sukuna helped gather the dishes. He took up washing them, another task he could do to get his mind off you. As you took down the camera equipment, he nearly broke several dishes and utensils from scrubbing too hard.
âIâll call you an Uber.â He said when all was said and done and you were back at the front of the building.
âYou donât have to, itâs okay.â
âNo, I want to.â Quickly calling you a ride, Sukuna fiddled with his phone a little more. âUh, could I- could I-â His voice kept leaving him, and he had to cough a few times. âCan I get your number? I really liked your camera shit and I want to improve mine.â Okay, it wasnât a total lie. He did like your setup and wanted to make his just as good, but he really wanted your number to potentially talk to you more about things outside of Youtube.
âSure! Go ahead and type it in.â You were quick to give him your phone, a cute pink phone case on the back of it. Typing it in, he canât help but notice the little devil emoji you add by his name. He wants to ask, but your ride is already pulling up.
âBye!â Setting all your camera gear inside the car, you turn and wave goodbye.
âSee ya.â Just as youâre about to close the car door, Sukuna gets a burst of confidence. âText me when you get home, okay?â
âOkay!â And off you go. Sukuna watches the car drive off until he canât see it anymore. He takes his time getting to his own place, eagerly awaiting your message with every step. But even when you do message him, all he can do is send a thumbs up back and nothing else.
Itâs about two and a half days after that that you text him again, letting him know youâre done editing and that youâre going to post the video soon. It wasnât a very long video to begin with, so the editing was simple enough. Sukuna replied with what appeared to be a lackluster âcanât waitâ, but on the inside he was shaking. Heâd already screenshot all the pictures the two of you took together and added them to a folder.
âHere we go.â As soon as the video went live, Sukuna watched it. He was mortified as soon as it started at the blush so evident on his cheeks, and how it stayed throughout the whole thing. He groaned at the part where he helped you cut up the meat, he almost wishes youâd cut it out. Every little detail that made him embarrassed was there, every little nuance of his actions youâd managed to capture and make it cute.
(Y/N): How do you like it??
You texted him after twenty minutes, eager to hear his thoughts.
(Sukuna): itâs good, good editing and stuff
(Y/N): yay! Iâm going to read comments in a few hours, you should too! I bet people will be really shocked!
(Sukuna): yeah no doubt
Oh, he was definitely going to read the comments. Whereas you were going to wait for a fair few to come in before commenting, Sukuna frequently refreshed the page and read the new ones as they came in. You were right, a lot of people were surprised, but he also saw a lot of his fans as well.
Ew Sukuna really cooked for that bitch? They canât do it themselves?â
âYeah, why do they have to rely on him? Useless as fuck lolâ
âSukuna only did this to get laid, (Y/N) looks like an easy fuckâ
All of those comments, and many more, made his blood boil. Usually, he wouldnât care at all about the comments, letting them fester in his comment section and spiral out of control. But for you, it was different.
âFuck off and die you pieces of shit. Leave (Y/N) alone or say it to my fucking faceâ
Sukuna sent that message, along with a variety of other threats, to all the people that insulted you. He didnât care that this wasnât his channel and that you would deal with it in whatever way you wanted to. He needed to defend you against the unwanted audience heâd brought you.
Luckily, after seeing Sukunas messages, all of his fans backed off. They knew how serious he was about his threats and there were many rumors that he actually did go and beat people up who said things he didnât like. No one wanted to be on the receiving end of his torment.
With Sukunas name attached to the video and his heavy presence in the comment section, the video easily went viral. It was easily the most viewed video on your channel, getting on the trending pages of several different platforms.
(Sukuna): hey
Itâs nearly a week after the first video that Sukuna messages you, and the hype is still going strong, and your follower count grows greatly from it.
(Y/N): hi! Whatâs up?
(Sukuna): do you want to film a video for my channel now? We can play a game, I have a few
(Y/N): sure that sounds fun!
Oh how wrong you were. The game Sukuna chose was a scary game, a shooter game with scary zombies and a lot of possible jumpscares. He doesnât tell you either, so on the night of filming - he insisted on it being nighttime to get the full scary effect - you were caught off guard.
âI donât know about this.â You whined once you saw the title. The two of you were video calling alongside playing the game together, and Sukunaâs eyes flicked to your figure on the screen.
âItâll be okay, Iâll carry you, donât worry.â He had started filming as soon as heâd set up the game, and you were filming yourself as well for him.
âYou promise it wonât be too scary?â
âIf itâs too scary just close your eyes and Iâll protect you.â Smiling softly at you, he started up the game. The beginning was fine, just a quick introduction to the game, but as soon as things started to get moving, you were scared.
âSukuna a zombie is eating me!â You screamed, frantically pushing buttons in an attempt to get it off.
âItâs okay!â He quickly got rid of it, and made sure to stay close to your character as the story progressed.
â(Y/N) stay by me, thereâs about to be a whole lot of them.â
âClose your eyes thereâs about to be a jump scare here.â
âDonât worry about getting that item, Iâll grab it for you!â
Sukuna nearly forgot he was being filmed, saying sweet things to you to help encourage you and make sure you werenât overwhelmed. There were many parts where you screamed in fright and Sukuna was there to coo at you and tell you it was okay. He made sure that your character never died, making sure to keep you close until the end of the game.
âSukuna, that was so hard!â Squishing your cheeks in your hands, you looked at him through your phone.
âIt was fun though, wasnât it? I had fun with you.â Completely abandoning the game, he stared down at his phone with a soft smile on his face.
âYeah, when there werenât so many zombies.â You stuck your tongue out at him, and it made him laugh. Leaning his head into his hand, Sukuna grinned when you yawned.
âAw, are you tired? Better go to sleep soon.â His voice dropped to a lower volume, like you were right next to him.
âI will.â You yawned again and it made Sukuna yawn as well.
âGet off the phone and go to bed, youâre making me tired too.â
âFine.â Whining out the word, you waved sleepily. âGoodnight Sukuna, Iâll send you the video files in the morning, okay?â
âNight.â Waving back, Sukuna waited until you hung up to turn his stuff off as well.
In the morning, Sukuna was ready to edit. What usually took him a week to edit out of laziness, he took only a day to edit this video with you together. Rewatching the footage, he nearly gagged at seeing how soft his face got when he looked at you, and most of those parts were left in because he couldnât stand to watch them and fix them.
(Sukuna): videos up
The next day, he messaged you. Once again Sukuna patrolled the comments, swiftly deleting any that said even a hint of a bad thing about you. There was less this time, what with Sukuna adding a warning at the beginning of the video threatening anyone that talked down at you.
This video, like the first, went viral. But for a much different reason. Since Sukuna was emotionally unable to deal with how sappy he was and edit those parts out, everyone got to see how soft he was for you. If the comments werenât mean, they were screaming about how you and Sukuna must be dating now, because why else would he look at you and talk to you like that?
And much to Sukunaâs dismay, there were also fancam edits of you two together. Any clippable moment of him being sweet on you in the videos youâd made together along with the photos youâd posted on Instagram were edited together and posted on Twitter. You both were tagged in every single one, making sure Sukuna saw all the videos of you and him together. He saved all of them too, delighting in the way you looked with him with all those pretty filters.
By the end of the day, people were trying to put a ship name together for the two of you and heâs seen you repost a few fancams with cute messages of thanks as well. Seeing you receptive to the fans screaming about the two of you made him happy, even if he was still too nervous to text you about anything outside of Youtube.
As more comments came in, people on Twitter were begging him to do a vlog with you. You had quite a few on your channel, going to cafes or filming what your day or week was like. Sukuna had watched them all and was jealous of every single person that appeared alongside you.
(Y/N): hey Iâm doing a live on Instagram if you want to join me! I know people really like us together lol itâll be great for views
(Sukuna): sure
Did you want him to join now? Heâd just gotten out of the shower and thrown on a pair of sweats, he wasnât exactly decent. But he didnât want to waste time getting ready only for you to end the live.
âHi Sukuna!â You smiled and waved when he appeared on the screen.
âHey.â He waved back, not caring about the angle he was holding the camera in. He saw hearts begin to fill up the screen and comments started to fly by, almost all in caps about the fact he was shirtless talking to you.
âGuys, donât be weird! Who cares that Sukuna is shirtless?â You tried to stop them, but it was clear you were flustered as well. You werenât looking at him, peeking at him through the screen a few times.
âGod youâre all thirsty as fuck.â Sukuna finally looked at himself on the screen. He was shirtless and in bed, hair slightly damp and tousled on his pillow. Reading a few comments, he shot up. âOf course Iâm wearing pants, you nasty fuck!â Storming out of bed, he stood in front of the only mirror in his house that wasnât in the bathroom and turned the camera around. âSee, look!â
âOh.â Gasping softly, you were glad Sukuna didnât notice you screenshot the live. Clad in only gray sweatpants, Sukunaâs freshly cleaned skin gleamed in the light of his bedroom and every single muscle and edge of his body was on display.
âThere, told you I wasnât fucking naked.â Rolling his eyes, he flopped back down on the bed. None of the comments had gotten any better, all of them talking about how hot he was and how you were so lucky to know him in real life.
âL-let's talk about something else.â You stammered, not showing your face on camera for a few minutes. Sukuna laughed at the comments teasing you for being embarrassed, agreeing with some of them under his breath.
âSo, what the fuck are you all doing here?â Sukuna posed the question at the chat, but at you as well.
âWell before you came everyone was talking about you...and you know how everyone has been begging for us to vlog?â You started off slowly, peeking an eye at his face.
âYeah?â
âI wanted to call you to ask how you felt about that?â How he felt? Why did you want to know?
âYou couldnât have texted me that?â That wasnât necessarily what he wanted to say, but it made you chuckle, so it was okay.
âNo! I wanted to ask so everyone could know!â
âI donât mind it.â If you wanted to vlog with him, he would do it in a heartbeat.
âSoâŚâ Worrying your lip, you looked off camera for a few seconds before looking directly at Sukuna. âWould you like to be in a vlog with me, at a cafe? Itâs outside the city, kind of far, but we can rent a car or-â
âYes.â Sukuna interrupted, nodding his head quickly. âIâll come. We donât have to rent a car, Iâll drive.â
âReally?â The comments were just as shocked as you were. Sukuna never filmed anywhere but his home and the gym, this would be a monumental occasion.
âDid you want me to say no?â
âNo!â You screamed immediately, nearly dropping your phone. âI just- I wasnât expecting you to say yes!â
âWell I did.â Sukuna bit his lip, running a hand through his hair and flexing his arm. âSo I guess itâs a date, huh?â His normal asshole confidence was back now that you were appearing through a screen and not right next to him. A surprised sound came from the back of your throat, and you nearly dropped the phone again.
âY-yeah! A date!â It felt good to have you flustered for once and not Sukuna. Laughing heartily at you, Sukuna smirked at the comments.
âWas that all you wanted to ask me or was there something more?â
âNo, that was it!â
âAlright.â Licking his lip and letting his tongue hang out of his mouth a little, Sukuna watched you bite your lip as well. âWell Iâm gonna go, I got stuff to do, but Iâll text you later (Y/N).â Dropping his voice as he said goodbye, Sukuna left the livestream.
âHoly fuck.â As soon as his phone was off, Sukuna let out a breath heâd been holding in. His heart was pounding hard despite how confident he was in his actions. Flirting was nothing new to him, but with you it felt different and like heâd never done it before in his life.
He watched the rest of your livestream while he finished getting ready for bed, laughing at the comments still teasing you about getting flustered with him. The notifications for Twitter were going off as well, and he knew for sure that there were new fancams for him to check out later.
(Y/N): Sukuna!! Youâre so embarrassing!
Texting him after your stream, your cheeks were still burning at the memory.
(Sukuna): hey, you said it would be good for views and it was
(Y/N): I knowâŚ
(Y/N): did you really mean it, about coming with me?
(Sukuna): of course. If I didnât want to I would have said no
(Y/N): thatâs good lol!
There was a lull in conversation, and Sukuna nearly fell asleep waiting for you to either text him again or for him to figure out what to say next.
(Y/N): so, a date huh? Are you going to bring me flowers?
Now he was awake. He didnât expect you to bring that up again, and his eyes flew open. Sukunaâs fingers hovered over the keyboard, mind going blank on what to say.
(Y/N): lol just kidding! I know you only said that for the stream! Iâll text you later about the details, Iâm about to knock out
(Y/N): goodnight :)
Well shit. Now he definitely wanted it to be a date.

DNP Rewatch:Â Dan Reacts to His Old Videos
Date video was published: 01/12/2015 (X)
DNP Main Channel Rewatch: 256
Danâs first video of 2015.
0:07 - I actually think he does want to look back and reflect a bit, but heâs covering that with a joke.Â
0:18 - wow, old YouTube. Also, why did young Dan like brown so much? ...the walls of his bedroom, this...itâs not really a common color to like I donât think. His little paint drawing of himself is adorable though.
0:31 - also, 4668 subscribers after just three videos!
0:40 - obviously he has to start with HELLO INTERNET.
0:42 - immediate pause. One of my favorite bits of DNP trivia is that Phil plays this to annoy/wind up Dan. I love that so much.
1:08 - Danâs already cringing and past-him hasnât even said anything yet
1:23 - lol at the comment on the long jump cut. It is really noticeable after being used to todayâs editing but not THAT bad.
1:27 - he does look so different!
1:43 - heâs laughing at himself so much! This is great though; you really can see that âthinkingâ look when he points it out.
2:04 - I love him talking about his original filming set up. âthat perfect downwards MySpace angleâ ...too real.
2:20 - this acknowledgement in a video of Philâs contribution to him starting YouTube. Around the end of 2014/here really was movement into a new era of DNP.
2:45 - young Dan having to keep so many secrets đ
2:52 - great spelling there. Also, this is such a Phil-like thing to focus in on during editing.
3:06 - ahahaha, thereâs self-aware Dan
3:14 - no, donât stop the hand heart! Itâs adorable.
3:28 - awww, no Dan.
3:36 -Â BUTTERFINGERSÂ time. You can tell heâs not as embarrassed by this one even before he starts.
3:40 - I really would love to know how much pre-planning he did for his channel before he actually started making videos. Every time he talks about it, it seems that he had thought about it and planned it out a lot.
3:56 - heâs more proud of this one!
4:05 - laughing at the editing is reasonable, lol
4:10 - awww, actor Dan! Iâm glad he seems proud of that too.
4:19 - oh, he skipped over a lot of the center-part of that one. Hand heart again!
4:28 - think that moved it into the cringe category for himself
4:31 - next up is Procrastination. He sounds excited about this one.
4:38 - lol at his face at the âyoâ intro đ
4:52 - this one he still feels is true!
4:55 - his commentary on this shirtless scene...âexposing myself for viewsâ
5:04 - awww, Dan. He should be proud of himself.
5:25 - love this behind-the-scenes story. I would love for DNP to watch more old videos and talk about behind-the-scenes from filming them stories. Like when we found out this Easter baking almost made them late for a flight.
5:45 - this mental image is hysterical
6:01 -Â âbullshit profound conclusionsâ I love self-aware Dan so very much.
6:13 - and then the self-aware annotations on top of it đ
6:24 - and itâs okay for people to do that! Like when Dan did decide to go unlist/private quite a bit of stuff in 2017 (none of the videos mentioned in this one though). Or Phil unlisting LessAmazingPhil stuff now.
6:49 -Â New Years Resolution Fail. lol at him not wanting to comment on this one. But he has started running in 2015!
7:07 -Â âthis doesnât need to be in the videoâ but it is!
7:30 - both DNP are so excited to be able to talk about at least one project at this point (while they continue to keep the book and show a secret)
7:31 - wow, âPhil and Iâ actually. Phil talked about this in his last video too. They went to see it later in the month, met Baymax, and saw that they were in the credits!
7:42 -Â ânot the stars of a new movie about two gay princes....unfortunately.â đ
8:08 - lol at the âyou have two linesâ
I really love this video. Itâs nice that Dan took a look back at his start on YouTube as he heads into a sort of ânew eraâ of content with TABINOF/TATINOF.Â
A few days after this, DNP hung out with Cat when she was visiting London (1, 2), then did some work behind-the-scenes for the Brit Awards nominations show (1, 2, 3).

HARRY x MODEL Y/NÂ facts part.1
HARRYxMODELY/N masterlist is here.
Credits: The middle manip on this edit picture (the one with Harryâs yellow suit) was made by the beautiful @/94sbells.
Authorâs note: HEY GUYS! I know that Iâve been kinda gone lately, but I have reasons for that. My summer vacation ended, and I had to go back to school. Weâre still studying online, but I had to take a diagnostic test this past week so theyâd know howâs my scholarity level. So, because of all the studying and trying to keep up on a new school (yes, I moved from schools.), I didnât have any time to write or finish my writings. Iâll try finishing a request today because Iâm feeling super creative and nostalgic BUT to everyone who follows HARRYxMODELY/N series, like it and miss it, I just did this ââfacts-timelineââ in a hope to feed you guys lol. Anyway, this is like a time line of 2017 and how their relationship developed on that year. I plan on doing one for each year till 2020 and post it on the break between posting the requests. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and maybe discover things about them that you didnât know yet. Love you all and thank you for the support and love! TPWK and remember that youâre so golden.
The first ever communication between them was on May 12th, 2017(Model YâNâs 20th birthday) AND the realesing of HS1 album.
She sent a DM to him on instagram congratulating him by saying she loved the album and wished him all the success.
No, they didnât know each other and she honestly thought that heâd never answer to her.
After a few hours, Harry answered to her message and she freaked out but never answered back because she didnât want to bother him.
They officialy met on November 28th, 2017 when Harry performed on Victoria Secrets Fashion Show that occured in Shanghai, China.
It was the first time that Model Y/N ever walked for Victoria Secrets.
She walked the Goddesses segment while Harry sang ââOnly Angelââ.
Harry literally got on his knees when she walked past him.
He likes to describe his emotion at that moment as âmesmerizedâ.
Even though she knew that VS models and the singers are supposed to flirt a little on stage to create a teasing sensation, she was so surprised by his actions.
After the show was done, Harry wasnât going to attend the VS after party but decided to attend last minute because he wanted to know her.
He approached her very calmly and gentle and invited her to ââhang outââ with him and his band through Shanghai as he was going to leave on the next day to complete his tour.
She asked Bella to go with her because she didnât want to hang out with him and his bandmates alone as they didnât know each other.
But she did felt a huge connection between them almost immidiately.
Through Shanghai, Harry was hitting on her the ENTIRE time! He was complimenting, being super nice, and flirting as well but she honestly thought he was just being nice.
Harry thought for a while that she was playing it hard to get until he realized that she wasnât.
They spent the whole night going through Shanghai.
They went to Nanjing Road and walked around seeing the lights.
They bought those film cameras and took the funniest pictures ever. They still have those films but never digitalized it to the computer.
They went to all those mini bars and had a few drinks while eating chinese food.
Btw, Harry and Model Y/N LOVE chinese food.
They were on the same hotel.
They didnât go back yet but plan to do so when quarantine is over.
When it was about 8am, they came back to their hotel.
They both agreed that they would come back to Shanghai one day to go to disneyland.
So Harry went back to his tour and Model Y/N went back to NYC.
On the night out in Shanghai they exchanged numbers because Bella Hadid(Model Y/Nâs bff)noticed that Harry was interested on Model Y/N, so she casually told them that they should get each otherâs number.
The media was crazy about them. First it was the VS move and then there was tons of paps photos of them out in Shanghai.
The media was trying to sell the story as if they were already dating before the VS, which wasnât true.
They talked for months as friends because of the number exchange.
They talked via texts, calls and face time all the time but it wasnât anything more than friendship to her.
Model Y/N and some friends of her was planning on traveling to Ibiza, Spain to celebrate New Yearâs Eve and as she and Harry were getting really close to each other she invited him and told him that he could take whoever he wanted.
Of course she thought he was cute and had a small crush but nothing extreme.
Harry did invited her for some of his shows but she couldnât attend any of it.
That made Harry think that she didnât like him.
She thought he was going to take a girlfriend.
Harry took Gemma and her boyfriend to the trip with him.
Yes, their whole group of friends were there as well but midia acted like there was only them in it.
They were in Ibiza from December 28th, 2017 to January 3rd, 2018.
The group of friends that was in Ibiza with them included Bella Hadid, Fai Khadra, Imaan Hammam, Grace Elizabeth, Gemma Styles, Machine Gun Kelly, Model Y/Nâs brother, etc.
And yes, there were TONS of paps in Ibiza following them because the media was selling the whole ââHarry Stylesâs new girlfriendâs thing.â
Harry is super private about relationships and Model Y/N had ended a serious relationship early that year so they just didnât address any rumors because they didnât care about what the media said.
They âsawâ each other as friends and that was what mattered.
It was probably the most random group of friends that she ever traveled with, but it was fun on the same way.
They had a really cool and funny vibe, and it was really easy to everyone to get along.
When fans noticed that Y/Nâs friends were following Harry on social media they really thought all the rumors were real.
Their house was really close to the beach, so you could actually see it by Harryâs bedroom barricade.
They usually went to the beach or stayed by the pool during the day and went out at night.
Honestly, they used to come home from the nightlife of Ibiza at 3/4am.
Theyâd wake up after noon for sure.
Harry wouldnât eat his breakfast until Model Y/Nâs woken up.
Heâd cook an avocado toast sandwich to her every morning and wait for her to wake up.
Heâd do it because on one of their late night talks, she had told him that she loved it so much.
Theyâd eat at the barricade while watching the beach.
Model Y/N HAD always been obsessed with Harryâs hair and sheâd tell him that he needed to moisturize his hair as they were under the sun all the time.
It was just an excuse to touch his hair.
So theyâd exchange it. Sheâd put oil on his hair, and heâd put on hers.
If they had to go to the beach, Harry would convince her to do the craziest things like fly board flying, going on jetskis together and those things.
He was the only one to convince her to do it because she is TERRIFIED of swimming in the ocean.
Theyâd all go out for lunch on some restaurants and after going shopping before the sunset.
Harry would always come to her saying like âoh, this would look good in youâ whenever he saw a piece of cloth that he liked.
Some fans would post pics of them on social media only making the rumors go hard.
Then one fan would post that met up with them and they said theyâre just friends, which was true at that time.
Back at the house, theyâd get ready to enjoy the Ibiza nightlife.
Theyâd dress a little better and go out to some bar or club.
Do you know those videos of Harry dancing in Anguilla? It would be the same vibe. Harry and Model Y/N would vibe so hard to the songs, and dance and shout and sing. It would be really funny.
Model Y/N used to go to his room at 4 am when they came back from the street because they usually sit by the barricade and talked for hours.
Theyâd talk about all the things that mattered to them, like: career, fashion, music, video, paintings, friends, family, how fame changed their lives.
Theyâd laugh about all the dating rumors as well, but it would be that type of laugh like âlol I wished it was true.â
Theyâd tell each other dad jokes and stories about their lives and experiences until the sunrise.
By the afternoon of December 31st, 2017, they were all talking about their new yearâs kiss and they decided that Harry and Y/N would be one of the pairs to kiss.
Model Y/N agreed but it was more of a joke to her than a real kiss; she didnât take it seriously.
They all got ready to celebrate NYE on the beach.
On the next day there were tons of videos of them dancing on the beach and them with fans as well.
When the New Year came, they had their first kiss and of course that changed everything.
Both of them felt sparkles and by the effect of a few drinks that both of them had on that night, they did share some other kisses here and there on that night.
For a miracle, no one captured them kissing on camera.
FACTS OF HARRY & MODEL Y/NâS RELATIONSHIP THROUGH 2018 WILL BE CONTINUED ON THE NEXT POST.

Devil Timeline : GG and Web before the official meeting.
Disclaimer that this is All CPN and nothing is really proven. As with all these things, feel free to disagree. Donât crack your head open thinking, weâre all just clowning here. some info on here are taken from different sources and others I added in.Â
What is this timeline/theory all about?
This CPN is all about them liking each other as early as 2015-2016. This is different from the love at first sight theory from 2017 & with them keeping in touch till they meet again in 2018. Part of this speculation is that they are ex-boyfriends. Also that Web was punished (what for and if this is even true, we donât know.) by his company in 2016 before hosting Day Day Up. I donât buy the ex-lovers part/punishment. My take on this Devil Timeline is that they were lowkey fanboying each other or have a crush on e/o. Where they in contact or have they met? Yes. possibly.Â
Plus, Itâs not too outrageous to believe that they know of each other. GG is a koreaboo and he most probably heard of UNIQ. Web on the other hand, most likely heard of XNINE.Â
So where are they between 2015-2016?
GG joined the reality program x-fire in 2015 and went on to debut with xnine on 2016 as the main vocalist. Notable acting job was superstar academy. Web on the other hand, was busy with UNIQ. Promoting in Korea, China, Thailand, Brazil and Japan. Notable in 2015 was the release of EOEO. In 2016, he joined the cast of Chinese Odyssey part 3 and was also announced as an assistant host for Day Day Up.
What are some key points to this Timeline?Â
1. Love Mole : It all started with this photo. Web holding a picture he drew of someone smiling and with a Mole. A mole on the same place as GGâs.
Another explanation for this is, he was actually drawing himself. there is a fake rumor that says Web is fixated with GGâs mole because he had one on the same site when he was a kid ; then disappeared over time. It goes on to say that Web jokes that GG stole his mole. (this joking tho was done during CQL shooting).
Recently, you can see in his photos that itâs there again. Itâs literally the LOVE MOLE! but yeah, going back -- the delulu interpretation here is he was drawing GG.Â
2. GGâs dream lover : 2016, On GGâs vlog for Qixi he talks about a âdream loverâ and drew it on paper. He goes on to say that he left the face blank as appearance doesnât matter- Itâs about the feeling.
Now onto the drawing of GG, bxg compares the features of the figure to Web.
3. Parallels : Similar posts from 2015-2016. There is not too much out there and we canât really verify cause of GGâs weibo post restrictions. I canât find ones aside from the example below cause most of the same posts that we have screenshots of are from 2017 onwards.
On 6/2015, Web posted a picture of himself visiting a spongebob exhibit. On 2/2016, GG shared a picture from his visit of the same place with his friends. Itâs too far apart if you ask me and so many people love spongebob, so this could really be a coincidence and not them cueing each other.
4. How long have they really known each other? : The Usually reserved Web was so open with GG during that 2017 TTXS episode. Remember that Web only started being an assistant host on 2016 and is usually very shy. But he interacted with GG in the simplest way by imitating his gesture. Tho the TTXS bros were the first ones who did it, he went ahead and did the pose too. His smile was also teasing.
Compare this with their CQL interviews and GG recalling what he said to his bandmate who was scared that itâs Web who heâs gonna battle with.
I donât think he said that because he doesnât know who Web is. Again, itâs too familiar. Like, donât worry itâs just Web, I know him, heâs good, he wonât kill you. In this interview he proceeds to say that he has faith in his bandmate but after watching Web dance, he knew they could not win.Â
Also add Webâs reaction in this interview, trying to wave GG off when he kept on saying he knew of Web for a long time already.Â
GG, you just met in 2017, why are you saying youâve known him for a very long time? âknow ofâ is such a broad term. It can be you know them personally or because Web has been a celebrity longer , thatâs why he knew of him. we are betting itâs the latter.
So if thatâs what weâre thinking, then why did he say that he knew they couldnât win AFTER seeing Web dance. If youâve been a fan and KNOW who wang yibo is- the first thing you will find is that he is an EXCELLENT DANCER. It doesnât match up. Unless, Itâs really GG who first followed Webâs career?
I can go on and on about things these two have lied about from eggplants to carrots and that waterfall scene. They have a say on what narrative they want to put out in this interviews, whether they honestly forgot things or are actively refusing to give information. Itâs up to them what they wanna say.Â
5. Love clues from 2015-2016 :Â
Webâs ideal type : Suzy from Miss A (which was i guess everyoneâs ideal girl in the KPOP world during that time) and Taeyeon from SNSD. I know there are parallels of how Suzy and GG look alike and how Taeyeon is kinda like GG. They are both vocalists and are older than Web.Â
GGâs ideal type : He said he wants someone who is gentle but can still stand on their own. Also someone with personality. Plus, he doesnât care if his other half canât cook because he will do it. When asked what he will do if him and his friend like the same person, he says if he really likes the person then he will fight for it.Â
6. The first table read : This is a new entry based on the BTS released last night. We only had snippets of this when they were joking around but this new video shows more. GG just naturally turns to Web and like heâs done it before. There is still some shyness when they were talking about pants but it doesnât look like two people who have only interacted today. Especially Webâs demeanor, there is a time or two that he hesitates when joking, but that could be because he is testing the waters.Â
There was Absolutely no barriers (from GG) in tapping Webâs back a couple of times. If Iâm a stranger just watching this, Iâll tell you these two have known each other for quite some time. Not just from that 2017 meeting and beyond.
7. A 2016 drawing - Over the years, we have learned that GG, like many artists put clues in their drawings. with things up to interpretation, as most of the time, he does not explain things outright. One BXG pointed out this drawing he made of a heart + bunny + cat. the Bunny is obviously him, so, love with a cat? Plus the look of the cat, like itâs looking at an innocent bunny. I know power dynamics between the two is a complicated topic, BUT----Â
8. WILDCARD: I know this is a popular fake rumor out there but we donât really have evidence. No picture and I donât have a screenshot of a fan account. It says GG went to a Uniq fanmeet on 6/22 in Guangzhou cause he wants to research about idols. This is before he went on xfire. The date 6/22 matches with the 622 coincidence. Consider this as fanfic but this lives in my mind.
Thatâs it. feel free to add thoughts or some other info you have about this timeline cause Iâm sure that I donât have it all. It feels so good to finally put this out because itâs been sitting on my draft for some time T.T. I am sure there are other explanations for this timeline. This is all CPN anyway. Please donât take seriously.Â

NY TIMES: St. Vincent Is Trying to Understand People
As she releases her sixth album, âDaddyâs Home,â the musician expounds on the lengthy documentaries, Janet Jackson bust and Joni Mitchell album that feed her creativity.
By Olivia Horn
May 4, 2021, 10:00 a.m. ET
Despite the hardships of the past year, Annie Clarkâs sixth studio album came together with remarkable ease. âMaybe I earned a fun one,â Clark, who records under the name St. Vincent, mused. âUsually thereâs some kind of âDark Night of the Soulâ moment. And there just wasnât.â
Clark, 38, spent much of 2020 shuttling between her home in Los Angeles and her familyâs in Texas. But the record (âDaddyâs Home,â due May 14) was born at Electric Lady Studios in Manhattan, where she and her repeat collaborator Jack Antonoff landed on 1970s New York as their lodestar. The resulting songs ease away from the angular art-pop of âMasseductionâ from 2017, opting for gentler, slouchier rock. The relative softness corresponds to Clarkâs effort to treat the troubled, complicated characters that populate her record with care. Among them are the broke and lovelorn protagonist of the lead single âPay Your Way in Pain,â Nina Simone, Marilyn Monroe and her own father, whose release from prison in 2019 inspired the title track.
Clark confessed that she did not meet her quarantine goals of learning conversational Italian or writing a tour bus cookbook, but she did read some books about the gulag. Calling from her âutilitarianâ Los Angeles studio, she detailed 10 of her favorite things to watch, read and hear â many of her picks reflecting a fascination with history and an eagerness to unpack social and aesthetic violence. These are edited excerpts from the conversation.
1. William Scott Sculptures
I discovered William Scottâs work through David Byrne, at his place in New York. And when we were on tour with âLove This Giant,â we went to Creative Growth in Oakland [a nonprofit that supports artists with disabilities]. I had my eye on this bust of Janet Jackson. And then when I was back, I went and bought a bust of CeCe Winans. So I have these busts in my library.
A lot of the artists whose work I collect are people who are marginalized from society in one way or another. What I like about it is that the expression feels very pure. These are people who might not have all of the tools at their disposal or the education, or any of that, but they are compelled to make work. That kind of irrepressible urge in people â that I just find so inspiring and heartening and cool. And itâs completely divorced from any of the status of the quote, unquote, âart world.â
2. Adam Curtisâs Documentary Series âCentury of the Selfâ
The way his work has been described is as emotional history or impressionistic history. The lines that he draws between events and trends are not exactly âA plus B equals C,â but the general thesis is like, âthe collective consciousness is saying this.â As a writer, Iâm always trying to understand systems and understand people.
3. Ric Burnsâs âNew York: A Documentary Filmâ
I used to live in a rent-controlled place in the East Village. But it was shady how I lived there, so I was never able to get utilities in my name. I lived there for 10 years and I didnât have the internet, so I had DVDs. I used to go to Kimâs Video all the time and buy DVDs so when I would wake up hung over and be like, âOh, just canât quite make it out of bed today,â I would have something to put on. If I wanted to watch something it wasnât like âNetflix and chill.â I associate that Ric Burns documentary with being either hung over or tired or both, and watching it in my bed.
4. Joni Mitchellâs âHejiraâ
This is one of those Joni Mitchell records that I didnât hear until I was in my early 20s. Everybody knows âBlueâ and âLadies of the Canyon,â but this is when I became a Joni Mitchell fan, with a capital F. This recordâs just so deep. Her lyrics are ⌠Cubist. Iâm thinking of the one where sheâs like, âIn the mirrors of a modern bank/From the window of a hotel room.â And itâs all wiggles, you know? Itâs like water, that record. And I donât mean to make it about me, but I feel like I can understand some of the things that Joni talks about, like the refuge of the road, or watching the world from an airplane or being in a hotel room.
5. Maggie Nelsonâs âThe Art of Crueltyâ
This is one of those books that I picked up six times and would get through a few pages and be like, âThis is really brilliant,â but it felt impenetrable at first. Then I had this one weekend where the clouds parted, and I just could see it and plowed through it. It talks about the ethics of being an artist in a way that is so brilliant, and so not orthodox or finger wagging. I think itâs one of those books you can revisit at various points of your life.
6. Her Own STV Signature Series Guitar
Part of it was inspired by Klaus Nomiâs tuxedo. And I wanted it to hit my sternum in a particular way. I am cis female, so the way that it hits the sternum and then has a little bit of a cutaway, it makes room for my breast. But just one of them. Thereâs only room for one! I love it. Itâs the only electric that I play, with very rare exception.
I saw peopleâs pictures of it from the Met [in the exhibition âPlay It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Rollâ], because I never got a chance to go and see it in real life. Most of the time, I just kind of like quietly put my head down and work â and then every once in a while, I look up and see something that Iâve made, and itâs mysterious that itâs in the world.
7. Wim Wendersâs âPinaâ
I love Pina Bauschâs work. I was really inspired by âThe Rite of Spring,â where the virgin dances herself to death. Thereâs this one particular movement that was like, drawing your hand above your head, and then when you pull it down, your elbow goes into your stomach â sort of like youâre open and then youâre impaling yourself. It just moved me to tears. So when I worked with my friend Annie-B Parson to choreograph the Digital Witness Tour, I was like, âCan we please incorporate this?â Another big thing: I was obsessed with falling. That was another big part of the Bausch work. How do you fall and make it look violent but not hurt yourself? Iâd get a rehearsal room with Annie-B and just practice falling.
8. Vintage RCA 77-D Microphone
Itâs an old ribbon mic, and it just sounds so good and warm. I know these are words that might not mean that much â when people describe sound as warm, itâs reductive. But it makes things sound and feel true. I donât mean that it has perfect fidelity. What I mean is that when you sing into this microphone, what comes back at you feels honest. My friend Cian Riordan, who mixed âDaddyâs Home,â hipped me to this mic.
9. âHidden Brainâ Podcast
There was one recently about the idea of honor culture. You know, if someone is insulting someoneâs masculinity and masculinity is tied up with honor, you have to avenge that insult. A lot of these âhonor societiesâ end up with more violence because you have to save face and thereâs less ways to assimilate conflict. The premise of so much of âHidden Brainâ is that we live by the stories we tell ourselves. And as a storyteller, that idea is very liberating to me, because if we live by the stories we tell ourselves, it means that when we get new information, we can assimilate that information and tell ourselves new stories.
10. Piazza della Signoria in Florence
The first time I was there was with my mom and sisters. I remember just walking through this piazza and having a wonderful time and wonderful conversation, and really being awe-struck by the architecture and the history, and just that life was beautiful. Another time, a number of years later, I was on tour with David Byrne and we had our last show in Florence, and I remember walking through with band members and then having the best dinner of my life after. Itâs one of those places where, at very pivotal points of my life, Iâve been there and only beautiful things have happened to me.
#st vincent#annie clark#interviews#i like when interviews/articles contain lil nugs no one has heard about before#such as this one with the shady living situaish in the rent controlled apt#and KIMâS VIDEO#WHICH I ALSO WENT TO WHEN I LIVED IN NY#I feel like weâd always go there to get weird obscure hard to find movies#also:#re:re: âwarmââ think the term she is looking for is âlike butter on tiddiesâ#âWELL ITS WARMâ#are those m&ms ive done those#nice brain btw#đŚŚ

Timeline of the current Danny 'Drama'
User u/pandaboy78 made a timeline of the current drama going around about Danny claiming he is a groomer. I will put it in text below and add a link for the page.
Hey everyone! A LOT of information has been coming out from others, mutuals of dan, etc. So I want to summarize all of the important information you need to know. I will address the victim in question: The "Fan" AKA ( u/IsThisYourBird ).
I will also provide a TL;DR timeline at the very bottom. Please read that if you just want a short 30-second summary.
Note 1: This will NOT be covering prior accusations. This is focusing solely on the current accusation.
Note 2: If any of this gets disconfirmed, incorrect, or if I'm missing info, I WILL edit this post immediately to represent accurate information. The last thing we need in this situation is misinformation.
Note 3: A lot of this is information that The Fan u/IsThisYourBird (Age 24) DM'd another user after today's incident... Meaning this is coming from the source herself. HOWEVER, it is very possible that these conversations could be faked by anyone... So please take this timeline with a grain of salt. Nothing has been confirmed yet.
Note 4: And this should be obvious... DO NOT DM INSULTS, FALSELY REPORTING, OR DEATH THREATS TO THE PEOPLE MENTIONED IN THIS POST. THIS IS NOT AN EXPOSE TIMELINE, THIS IS TO HELP SUMMARIZE EVERYTHING!! HARASSMENT AND FALSE REPORTING WILL GET US NOWHERE!!
Before the Storm
SUMMER 2009 - Nikki - a mutual of Dan hangs out with him every day during the summer while Nikki was in college. This is NOT the Fan in question. At this time, Nikki is 22, and Dan is 34 years old. Dan encourages Nikki that Nikki should bring along a friend every time they hung out for safety reasons due to the age gap. She explains this situation more in tweets later mentioned. (Source [8])
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**NOTE**: PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIMELINE FROM SEPTEMBER 2013 TO DECEMBER 2017 IS FROM THE POST FROM 'RantGrumps'!! THERE HAVE BEEN STRANGE INCONSITENSIES - NONE OF WHICH HAVE BEEN PROVEN RIGHT OR WRONG. TAKE IN INFORMATION WITH A GRAIN OF SALT!
SEPT. 2013 - The Fan contacts Dan Avidan. The fan mentions how Dan should visit, and Dan replies that he will be there to do some tours in 2014. The conversation ends with the Fan stating "Love ya man!" [1]
=SOURCE= Parent Reddit Post - Image Source =SOURCE=
It's unclear how these two met. However, it's confirmed that the Fan met Dan at the age of 17.[2]
=SOURCE= [2] Parent Tweet - Specific Photo =SOURCE=
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~OCT. 2013 - The Fan turns 18 years old. [3]
=SOURCE= [3] Parent Reddit Post - Image Source =SOURCE=
This post indicates that that Dan was texting platonic texts with the Fan before the age of 18.
After more information has come out, u/NotBlarg has stated that the specific was faked, but only this image. It was meant to serve as a visual guide to show a birthday. The actual birthday is unknown, but all we know is that she did turn 18 in 2013. Other rumors show that it may have been even earlier in 2018. [EDIT1] The main point still stands true: Dan did not sext until sometime after she turned 18.
=SOURCE= [EDIT1] Parent Reddit Post =SOURCE=
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DEC. 2017 - Dan sends the infamous "Tub" video to the Fan via WhatsApp.The Fan replies: "My god, I've never seen something so beautiful and fancy, I really wish I was there too!! Shit"Dan replies: "If you feel comfortable with the idea, you should send me a little video saying that you'd like to fuck my in that tub. That would do things for me haha" [4]
=SOURCE= [4] Parent Reddit Post - Video Source - Image Source =SOURCE=
This sexting occurred when the fan was already 22/23.
However, there is conflicting evidence from a mutual friend of Dan - Nikki LeComte ("Nikki Homicide") - who claims that she has seen this specific video before. The video was sent directly from Dan to Nikki, but not personally. She says it was likely sent in a Snapchat story or a Facebook group chat. She believes that the video was taken out of context. [5] (More context in source [7]).
=SOURCE= [5] Parent Tweet - Specific Tweet =SOURCE=
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Controversy Begins
MAR. 21ST, 2021 08:15 GMT - Reddit user u/NotBlarg states that the Fan has come out to NotBlarg privately to present the story in r/rantgrumps. He states at the end " their conversations turned into sexts, and eventually led to her meeting him backstage at a Game Grumps Live show where sexual activity occurred. A couple of weeks after, all contact from Dan ceased." [6]
=SOURCE= [6] Parent Reddit Post =SOURCE=
It is VERY important to note that in the Reddit post, NotBlarg incorrectly words the order of the story, presenting the latest sext FIRST, but this may have been used as a general writing hook. Simple as that. They first present the infamous "Tub" video & text first [4]. Then the states that Dan was normally texting her when she was underage (technically true, but she was around 17Y,11M old). And follows up stating "As the years went by, and she became of legal age, their conversations turned into sexts". Partially true. Yes, it did take 4 years for the conversation to turn into sexts. However, she only became of age a month after the original text.
It is also important to note that NotBlarg may be very biased, as he is a very active user in the subreddit r/rantgrumps. NotBlarg has only ever posted in rantgrumps since 2018 and has not posted in any other subreddit. RantGrumps is a subreddit known for criticizing Game Grumps about how they've changed over the years and other topics, but their top two posts usually deals in exposing & documenting Game Grumps' flaws over the years. The bias likely effected how they worded their accusation post.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MAR. 21ST, 2021 2:23 GMT - A mutual of Dan Avidan (she supposedly helped work on Ninja Sex Party lyrics) came out due to the controversy. - Nikki LeComte ("Nikki Homicide"). There is a lot to unpack from this thread.
=SOURCE= [7] Tweet Thread =SOURCE=
She refers to the topic of ghosting, - which is something briefly mentioned in the NotBlargh's accusation post. Nikki states: "I know from experience that Dan 110% will respond to texts or pick up calls from people he hasn't spoken to in years." This may mean that Dan and the Fan have not been in contact at all for 3-4 years.
Nikki also says that the "Tub" video was clearly a joke that Dan would make and that she's seen it before. [7] In fact, she states in another tweet that the video was sent directly from Dan to Nikki, but not personally. She says it was likely sent in a Snapchat story or a Facebook group chat. She believes that the video was taken out of context.[8]
=SOURCE= [8] "I KNOW I've seen that video before" Tweet =SOURCE=
Nikki states that Dan knew that the age gap was weird (she was 22, and Dan was 34), so Dan himself encouraged Nikki to always bring along a friend whenever they hung out so that Nikki would feel safe. While Nikki did not feel anything romantic, she does state that they felt like they were more than friends and felt safe around Dan during the summer that they hung out. Nikki also states that Dan would constantly say "bring a friend, you two can take my room if you need to crash I'll sleep on the couch." From these dates, it's safe to assume that Dan hung out with Nikki in the Summer of 2009. This would be several years before the Fan originally texts Dan in September of 2013.
She states that she has not spoken with Dan for several years and doesn't throw out the idea that it's possible that fame could have possibly changed him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MAR. 22ND, ~AROUND 12:00 GMT - Most of these Reddit posts are deleted, and the specific time is unclear. However, from reading the context, the Fan ( u/IsThisYourBird ) supposedly jump onto Reddit to talk about the situation. The Fan and u/GreatThisAgain2019 got into an argument on the original accusation post by u/NotBlarg. This conversation was deleted, but then GreatThisAgain2019 DM'd the Fan about more information. Again, there is a lot here to unpack. [9]
The Fan was chuffed as Dan complimented The Fan for being beautiful and wanted to hug her.
Dan does tell the Fan that it would be weird for him (age 34) to be talking with the Fan (age 17). Take notice that this is the second time Dan has taken precautions with hanging out with a person much younger. The first time was with Nikki a few years prior, and the second time is now.
The Fan is glad that she hasn't done anything to hurt Ashley - Dan's current girlfriend.
A friend of the Fan suggested that she needs to check out the current controversy with Dan. She also states that she isn't too familiar with Reddit.
It's clarified that the Fan is now 25 years old. She then gives her opinion on the situation: "It's not illegal, it's just a bit of an abuse of power I'd say, especially leading some of us (if not all of us) on" Essentially from the Fan's perspective, Dan was NOT grooming her, but she DOES BELIEVE that Dan was abusing his power.
The Fan NEVER stated that Dan groomed her. The grooming part is an opinion that Twitter, several minor News YouTubers and some members of r/RantGrumps made that became the main headline on Twitter's Trending page.
She thinks back and says that back then, she thought that being with Dan was her being happy and lucky. Now she thinks that she should have played video games (specifically Wind Waker) instead.
After this part of the conversation, GreatThisAgain2019 deletes his previous Reddit Comments when he was in an argument with the Fan before they DM'd each other.. [10]
--------------------------------------------------------------------
GreatThisAgain2019 proceeds to clarify in certain posts that the Fan was not groomed on the original accusation post by u/NotBlarg. HOWEVER, the moderator of the subreddit - u/TheValkuma removed the post by GreatThisAgain likely as an accident. At the time, the r/RantGrumps subreddit was being bombarded with spam and hate comments, so it likely was deleted on accident. Note: This is personal, so if any news people are reading this, ignore this. Apologies to TheValkuma. I originally inserted some personal shade in this bullet point, and that was very immature of me to do in a very serious post focusing on facts about a serious allegation. I apologize for that. I BEG that nobody harasses NotBlarg & TheValkuma. Harassment, insults, or death threats will not help them mentally organize the important information to sort out this controversy.
=SOURCE= [9] Text Conversation || [10] Deleted Reddit Comment =SOURCE=
TL;DR TIMELINE
The "Fan" is the victim surrounding the whole drama.
SUMMER, 2013 - Nikki (A long-time mutual of Dan) hangs out with Dan almost every day during the summer. Nikki is 22, and Dan is 34 years old. Dan encourages Nikki that Nikki should bring along a friend every time they hung out for safety reasons due to the age gap.
SEPT. 2013 - The Fan & Dan meet and text each other normally. The Fan turns 18 a month after the initial text. Dan at this age is 34 years old.
2017 - Dan sends the Fan the infamous "Tub" video, comedically saying how they should "fuck" in the tub.
MARCH, 2021 - Dan is accused on the r/RantGrumps subreddit, and the information several hours later spreads like wildfire on Twitter. Nikki comes out on Twitter and mentions the information I provided above. The Fan herself mentions in a conversation with another Reddit user that she DOES NOT BELIEVE DAN GROOMED HER... However, she does think that DAN IS ABUSING HIS FAME. The person who spoke with the Fan then clarified on the original r/RantGrumps post that started it all and stated mentioned how the Fan does not believe she was groomed.
EDIT 1: u/GreatThisAgain2019 has provided me with a twitter video to show that the texts with the Fan was not fabricated. I should note that he provided these quite quickly after I messaged him about it, proving that this video isn't fabricated. While this doesn't prove that the Fan is 100% the victim, this does prove GreatThisAgain2019's conversation is completely valid: https://twitter.com/gracd81439127/status/1374005639735869441
EDIT 2: After speaking with u/TheValkuma, I realized I was very much in the wrong for throwing shade, even if it was minor and small. DO NOT THROW HARASSMENT, INSULT, SHADE, OR THREATS against them. And most of all, do NOT report them. They have a lot more going on right now as well. Negativity will not give us more needed factual information.
On top of this second big edit, I'm making several corrections that others have pointed out to me. For example, I incorrectly stated that Nikki hung out with Dan in Summer of 2013, but it was actually the Summer of 2009.
What Should We Be Discussing??
As of right now, there is NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT from any members of the Game Grumps.
On top of this, assuming that the information stated by the Fan is correct, there are several discussions that should still be discussed, and some that can be crossed out:
Dan is a Pedophile: Dan's interactions began before the Fan turned 18, but sexting didn't occur until after she turned 18. This is not an valid conversation.
Dan is a Groomer: This is a bit more up there, but I personally believe that this was not an issue of grooming. The Fan herself clarified this herself.
Power Dynamic: This is definitely a conversation that does need to be taking place, whether its true or not. If these events did play out, is there a power dynamic taking place, or is there not? Is there much less of a power dynamic with Dan since his fame was less back in 2013?
?Age Gap?: This one is more up in the air. Yes, the age gap is creepy, but they were both legal. However, does legal â moral, or legal = moral??? They're both adults who should be responsible for themselves, but it still feels creepy to some. Again, this one is more up in the air, but it may need to be discussed about too.

Update on âMaybe Tomorrowâ [Final Chapter; Chapter 17]
Hello, hello my ducklings.Â
Itâs been nearly two years since Iâve last been on Tumblr and well over that time since Iâve written anything for my Elorcan fanfic âMaybe Tomorrow.â I actually just finished up reading a Court of Silver Flames and I remembered this page existed.Â
As you all mightâve guessed, I never did finish writing that last chapter, or the epilogue, even. And while I no longer intend to finish writing that last chapter now, I decided it would be fun to post what I had written so far as well as a bulleted list for the ideas I had for the epilogue. Please keep in mind two things: this was written over two years ago and Iâm not letting myself attempt to edit it (although I did read through it quickly) and there is a potential trigger warning: this chapter covers themes of mental health, therapy, and topics related to it. Iâll also be adding this warning to the previous chapter, as I feel in hindsight I most definitely shouldâve included it.
This community and these books were my everything in 2017-2018. I was going through a pretty tough time then, and I am so so happy to say Iâm doing much better now despite everything going on in the world. I still keep up with each series to this day (I even cried the BIG tears when I finished Kingdom of Ash) and it will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart.Â
Enjoy!! Let me know what you guys think <3 I miss and love you all, and I hope youâre doing well.
~
Naitivity. To herself, to her problems, to the pain flowing through her veins every step she took. That was why Saturday night had affected her so much.
In the almost nine years since their death, Elide had never acknowledged what had happened. Sheâd never grieved, barely faltered- she got away with it by not thinking about it, not talking about it. By not accepting the cards the fate had handed her, by turning a blind eye, it became so much easier to pretend it didnât happen. It became so much easier to pretend she hadnât changed.
Elide knew now that she wasnât being strong for it. She was just being naive.
Elide wrapped her arms around herself and leaned forward to rest her head on the steering wheel of her car. She breathed, deeply, taking in the muffled sounds of students walking towards the front of the school- their voices, their laughter.
She smiled, then, thinking about what today was.
Then she frowned, thinking about what today was. The elections and thenâŚ
Another breath. In and out, just like the therapist had told her. Elide reached for her school books and swung open the door of her car, stepping out into the heat. She just needed to focus on today, just today.
And then, with the support of her friends, those that cared about her, sheâd focus on the next. And the next, and the nextâŚ
Elide made it all of three steps away from her car when she ran into Aelin, Lysandra, and Manon standing by the rear of her car, their arms crossed and faces tight.
Elide swallowed and reached for the words sheâd been saying over and over in her head for the last 24 hours. They were on the tip of her tongue-
âManon!â Lysandraâs shout was cut off by Manon barrelling into Elide, pulling her into one of the most suffocating bear hugs sheâd ever received. It was exactly what she needed.
âYou scared the ever-living daylights out of usâ she said into Elideâs hair.
Elide leaned her head on Manonâs shoulder. âI know. Iâm sorry.â
Manon shook her head, and Elide watched as Lysandra and Aelin took a few steps forward, readying to pull Manon away should Elide need them to.
âThereâs no need to be sorry, but Jesus, Elide, you just⌠disappeared after Saturday night. No one could get in touch with you all of Sunday, not even Lorcan.â Elide froze at his name. She mumbled another âsorryâ into Manonâs shoulder and gripped her harder so that she wouldnât notice.
âAll right, all rightâ Lysandra said as she gently pried Manonâs arms off of Elide. âDonât smother her.â
Elide smiled at her. âItâs alright-â and then Lysandra was gripping her in another extremely tight bear hug.
âHey!â Manon shouted, scowling at Lysandra.
âYou had plenty of time with her, itâs my turn now.â
âI got less than a minute-â
âLadiesâ Aelin said, stepping between them. âThis is about Elide right now, not you.â Aelin stepped towards Lysandra and Lysandra took a step away.Â
âDonât even try, Aelin. Youâll get your turn in a minute.â Elide giggled as Aelin sighed and took a step back.
Lysandra smoothed down the hair on top of her head and said, âDo you want to tell us what happened- after Saturday, I mean. Itâs okay if youâre not ready.â
Elide smiled up at her, at all of them, and took a small step forward- Lysandra reluctantly loosened her grip.
âItâs true,â Elide swallowed, âwhat Maeve said about my parents. Thatâs all true.â She wrapped her arms around herself, tighter, remembering what Dr. Ren had told her.
âIâve spent the last nine or so years of my life⌠in denial. My parents, when they died, they were all I had. I was horrible at making friends, and when Vernon became my guardian, well, you might imagine why he didnât exactly give me someone to talk to. The SDD tried to get me to talk, to acknowledge what had happened. They worked tirelessly to try and convince my uncle that I needed therapy but my uncle doesnât really believe in mental illness, of any sort, and I⌠it was just too much for me,â Elide tried to meet all of their eyes as she talked but the bareness of the moment forced her eyes down to the pavement, âI didnât talk for almost an entire year after they died. I had no outlet for the pain,â her voice cracked on the word, âthe utter pain I was going through. Eventually I learned it was easier to shove it all down. Everyone said that since I was young I would quickly get past it and I took that as meaning that I had to quickly get past it. And so I did everything youâre not supposed to do when trying to grieve about the death of your loved ones.âÂ
Elide gestured a hand to all of them, âI pushed people away... and I let the mention of the most amazing parents in the world become a trigger for my concealed anxiety and grief. And after Saturday, I couldnât push it all back down after Saturday. And so nine years of pent up⌠everything came tumbling out.â
None of them spoke for a moment.
Then: âYou talked to one hell of a therapist yesterday, didnât you,â Manon said.Â
Elide let out a nervous chuckle. âYeah, he set me straight.â Elide said, tracing the lines on one of her textbooks.
âSo youâre okay?â Lysandra asked, wrapping her arms tentatively around Elide.
âNoâ Elide said, âIâm actually far from it. But âŚâ Elide cleared her throat and hastily brushed away a fallen tear. âThatâs okay. I know that.âÂ
âGoodâ Aelin said. She reached for Elide, then, waving off a pissed Lysandra. âWeâre going to be right here while you get through all of it, Elide. Absolutely all of it.â
âThank youâ Elide said, gladly accepting her third bear hug of the day. âAnd Iâm sorry about how I reacted on Saturday, it must have been so scary for all of you. Iâm really, truly sorry-â
âDonât apologizeâ Aelin said, smoothing down her hair. âYou donât need to. What Maeve did was the definition of malicious, and you didnât hear it but everyone booed her off stage after Lorcan rushed you out of the room.â
âIâm surprised they didnât disqualify her from the race after that,â Lysandra said, and then she grimaced. âGods I can still remember the look on her face-â
âLysandraâ Manon warned, âwe all know sheâs a bitch, but we donât need to debate how much of one she is right at this second.â
Lysandra looked down at her feet and mumbled, âSorry.âÂ
âItâs okay, reallyâ Elide said. âI donât mind talking about how much of a bitch she is at all.â
âOh thank the godsâ Lysandra sighed, rushing over to Elide and grasping her hand. âLetâs all go sit down somewhere and discuss this. Itâs going to be a lengthy conversation- there is so much bitchy-ness about her that you donât even know about it.â
âAre we really doing this?â Manon said, raising a single brow. âDoesnât that make us a bit petty?â A snort from Lysandra.
They all turned to Aelin, but Aelin just shrugged. âWhat Elide says, goes.â
Manonâs jaw twitched and then she threw up her hands. âWhat the hell.â
Elide giggled as the four of them linked arms and walked towards the school together. Manon had been right- she had talked to one hell of a shrink yesterday. But she hadnât just helped her sift through the memories, figure out how to deal with the pain.
Lysandra cackled at something Manon said, and Aelin smiled back at them, unrestrained.
No, sheâd also helped her realize how amazing her friends were. And that was best part of all.
~Â Â
If he couldnât find her before the end of the day- he didnât know what he was going to do. He just had to talk to her. He just had to know if she was alright.
His feet pounded into the concrete of the school parking lot... (Iâm sorry I stopped typing here)
Hereâs how I originally outlined the chapter (you can see some changes for when I actually sat down and wrote it):
Chp 17 Summary
Monday morning- day of election results. Elide is a mess. She hasnât talked to anyone since Saturday night: this includes Lorcan. At school sheâs confronted by friends and theyâre all worried about her. They make up- Elide opens up to them about it. Lorcan clears things up with Rowan in the parking lot, they walk towards the school together. Then Lorcan comes over and asks to speak with Elide alone- they talk, and Lorcan gives her a new backpack (green like the carpet in the library). Asks if she could take care of Hellas for him- she says yes. They walk into the school hand in hand, knowing what they are and what they could be would have to wait for now.
Chapter Specifics
Outside of School
Elide sitting in her car again, contemplating the weekend. Reflective of first chapter- when sheâs sitting there, not sure how things are going to go.Â
Walks towards the school in a daze. Aelin & Co waiting for her a few feet from the school. Everyone is tentative but then Manon comes running over and gives Elide a hug. Itâs just what she needs.
Elide says sheâs sorry and opens up to them about her thought. They all just tell her itâs not her fault for any of it and theyâre sorry that happened to her.
Lorcan & Rowan Meeting
Lorcan walking towards Elide when Rowan steps in front of him. The two tersely talkÂ
Flashback scene of sorts about what Rowan did for him the night before (Cain trying to goad Lorcan into a fight of sorts and Rowan stepping in)
at the end of it the two shake hands and are on good terms again.
Lorcan walks over to Elide and asks to speak with her alone. Bell rings for class to start but Lorcan leads them down a trail to talk.
Heâs awkward until Elide leans up and kisses him. She tells him thank you
He gives her the backpack. Elide opens it up to find a copy of A Court of Wings and Ruin, and the picture of her parents protruding from it.Â
Lorcan says he wishes he could have made her happy like that. Elide says he did. In the short time they had, he did.
Lorcan asks her to take care of Hellas. She says of course.
Elide leans up and kisses him again and says that sheâll always care about him. And maybe in the future theyâll be something (make sure you donât rush this!!)
Lorcan starts stuttering and Elide shakes her head. She explains that as much as she cares about him, she knows how much the long distance thing will wear down on them- and that he needs to be his own person when he comes back to her.
Outdoors speakers announce that Aelin and her team had won the election as they approach the school building.
Elide walks into the school with Lorcan, prepared for the day ahead. And the next. And then the next, and the nextâŚ
Epilogue
I actually donât have any notes for this (I THOUGHT I DID IâM SORRY) but I think I had it so that they bump into each other at Terrasen University or something like that and they start as friends but eventually begin dating and then get married in the library and the last scene is them at their spot in the library in their wedding apparel just holding each other (because Iâm sappy like that)
Thank you all, again. Writing this was a pleasure and I could not have asked for a better community and support group

Today we remember the passing of Glen Campbell who Died: August 8, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee
Glen Travis Campbell (April 22, 1936 â August 8, 2017) was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor and television host. He was best known for a series of hit songs in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS television from 1969 until 1972. He released 64 albums in a career that spanned five decades, selling over 45 million records worldwide, including twelve gold albums, four platinum albums, and one double-platinum album.
Born in Billstown, Arkansas, Campbell began his professional career as a studio musician in Los Angeles, spending several years playing with the group of instrumentalists later known as "The Wrecking Crew". After becoming a solo artist, he placed a total of 80 different songs on either the Billboard Country Chart, Billboard Hot 100, or Adult Contemporary Chart, of which 29 made the top 10 and of which nine reached number one on at least one of those charts. Among Campbell's hits are "Universal Soldier", his first hit from 1965, along with "Gentle on My Mind" (1967), "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" (1967), "Dreams of the Everyday Housewife" (1968), "Wichita Lineman" (1968), "Galveston" (1969), "Rhinestone Cowboy" (1975) and "Southern Nights" (1977).
In 1967, Campbell won four Grammys in the country and pop categories. For "Gentle on My Mind", he received two awards in country and western; "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" did the same in pop. Three of his early hits later won Grammy Hall of Fame Awards (2000, 2004, 2008), while Campbell himself won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. He owned trophies for Male Vocalist of the Year from both the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM), and took the CMA's top award as 1968 Entertainer of the Year. Campbell played a supporting role in the film True Grit (1969), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. He also sang the title song, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
Glen was born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, a tiny community near Delight in Pike County, Arkansas, to John Wesley (a sharecropper) and Carrie Dell (Stone) Campbell. Campbell was of Scottish descent and was the seventh son of 12 children. As a child he almost died from drowning. His family went to Church of Christ, and Campbell's brother Lindell became a Church of Christ minister. In 2011 he claimed his mother was Irish, although this was not true. The family lived on a farm, where they barely managed, by growing cotton, corn, watermelons, and potatoes. "We had no electricity," he said, and money was scarce. "A dollar in those days looked as big as a saddle blanket." To supplement income the family picked cotton for other farmers. "I picked cotton for $1.25 a hundred pounds," said Campbell. "If you worked your tail off, you could pick 80 or 90 pounds a day."
Campbell started playing guitar at age four after his father gave him a Sears-bought five-dollar guitar as a gift, with his uncle Boo teaching him the basics of how to play. Most of his family was musical, he said. "Back home, everybody plays and sings." By the time he was six he was performing on local radio stations.
Campbell continued playing guitar in his youth, with no formal training, and practiced when he was not working in the cotton fields. He developed his talent by listening to radio and records and considered Django Reinhardt among his most admired guitarists, later calling him "the most awesome player I ever heard." He dropped out of school at 14 to work in Houston alongside his brothers, installing insulation and later working at a gas station.
Not satisfied with that kind of unskilled work, Campbell started playing music at fairs and church picnics and singing gospel hymns in the church choir. He was able to find spots performing on local radio stations, and after his parents moved to Houston, he made some appearances at a local nightclub.
In 1954, at age 17, Campbell moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to join his uncle's band, known as Dick Bills and the Sandia Mountain Boys. He quit high school in 10th grade. He also appeared there on his uncle's radio show and on K Circle B Time, the local children's program on KOB television. It was there that he met his first wife, whom he married when he was 17 and she was 16.
In 1958, Campbell formed his own band, the Western Wranglers. "We worked hard," he said. "Six, sometimes seven nights a week. I didn't have my eye set on any specific goals or big dreams."
In 1960, Campbell moved to Los Angeles to become a session musician. That October, he joined the Champs. By January 1961, Campbell had found a daytime job at publishing company American Music, writing songs and recording demos. Because of these demos Campbell soon was in demand as a session musician and became part of a group of studio musicians later known as the Wrecking Crew.
Campbell played on recordings by the Beach Boys, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Ricky Nelson, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, the Monkees, Nancy Sinatra, Merle Haggard, Jan and Dean, Bing Crosby, Phil Spector, Sammy Davis Jr., Doris Day, Bobby Vee, The Everly Brothers, Shelley Fabares, The Cascades, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Wayne Newton, The First Edition, The Kingston Trio, Roger Miller, Gene Clark, Lou Rawls, Claude King, Lorne Greene, Ronnie Dove and Elvis Presley. He befriended Presley when he helped record the soundtrack for Viva Las Vegas in 1964. He later said, "Elvis and I were brought up the same humble way â picking cotton and looking at the south end of a north-bound mule."
In May 1961, he left the Champs and was subsequently signed by Crest Records, a subsidiary of American Music. His first solo release, "Turn Around, Look at Me", a moderate success, peaked at number 62 on the Hot 100 in 1961 but reached number 7 on the Hot 100 in a 1968 Vogues cover. Campbell also formed the Gee Cees with former bandmembers from the Champs, performing at the Crossbow Inn in Van Nuys. The Gee Cees, too, released a single on Crest, the instrumental "Buzz Saw", which did not chart.
In 1962, Campbell signed with Capitol Records. After minor initial success with "Too Late to Worry, Too Blue to Cry", his first single for the label, and "Kentucky Means Paradise", released by the Green River Boys featuring Glen Campbell, a string of unsuccessful singles and albums followed. By 1963 his playing and singing were heard on 586 recorded songs. He never learned to read music, but besides guitar, he could play the banjo, mandolin and bass.
From 1964 on, Campbell began to appear on television as a regular on Star Route, a syndicated series hosted by Rod Cameron, ABC's Shindig! and Hollywood Jamboree.
From December 1964 to early March 1965, Campbell was a touring member of the Beach Boys, filling in for Brian Wilson, playing bass guitar and singing falsetto harmonies. He was then replaced on the Beach Boys' tours by new member Bruce Johnston.
In 1965, he had his biggest solo hit yet, reaching number 45 on the Hot 100 with a version of Buffy Sainte-Marie's "Universal Soldier". Asked about the pacifist message of the song, he said that "people who are advocating burning draft cards should be hung."
Campbell continued as a session musician, playing guitar on the Beach Boys' 1966 album Pet Sounds, among other recordings. In April of that year, he joined Rick Nelson on a tour through the Far East, again playing bass.
When follow-up singles did not do well, and Capitol was considering dropping Campbell from the label in 1966, he was teamed with producer Al De Lory. Together, they first collaborated on "Burning Bridges" which became a top 20 country hit in early 1967, and the album of the same name.
Campbell and De Lory collaborated again on 1967's "Gentle on My Mind", written by John Hartford, which was an overnight success. The song was followed by the bigger hit "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" later in 1967, and "I Wanna Live" and "Wichita Lineman" in 1968, remaining on Billboard's Top 100 charts for 15 weeks. He won four Grammy Awards for "Gentle on My Mind" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix".
In 1967, Campbell was also the uncredited lead vocalist on "My World Fell Down" by Sagittarius, a studio group. The song reached number 70 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 1968, Campbell released "Wichita Lineman", a song written by Jimmy Webb. It was recorded with backing from members of the Wrecking Crew and appeared on his 1968 album of the same name. It reached number 3 on the US pop chart, remaining in the Top 100 for 15 weeks. In addition, the song also topped the American country music chart for two weeks, and the adult contemporary chart for six weeks.
The 1969 song "True Grit" by composer Elmer Bernstein and lyricist Don Black, and sung by Campbell, who co-starred in the movie, received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Song and the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
After he hosted a 1968 summer replacement for television's The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour variety show, Campbell was given his own weekly variety show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, which ran from January 1969 through June 1972. The show's comedy writers included Steve Martin and Rob Reiner. At the height of his popularity, a 1970 biography by Freda Kramer, The Glen Campbell Story, was published.
With Campbell's session-work connections, he hosted major names in music on his show, including the Beatles (on film), David Gates, Bread, the Monkees, Neil Diamond, Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Roger Miller, and Mel Tillis. Campbell helped launch the careers of Anne Murray and Jerry Reed, who were regulars on his Goodtime Hour program.
During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Campbell released a long series of singles and appeared in the movies True Grit (1969) with John Wayne and Kim Darby and Norwood (1970) with Kim Darby and Joe Namath.
After the cancellation of his CBS series in 1972, Campbell remained a regular on network television. He co-starred in a made-for-television movie, Strange Homecoming (1974), with Robert Culp and up-and-coming teen idol Leif Garrett. He hosted a number of television specials, including 1976's Down Home, Down Under with Olivia Newton-John. He co-hosted the American Music Awards from 1976 to 1978 and headlined the 1979 NBC special Glen Campbell: Back to Basics with guest-stars Seals and Crofts and Brenda Lee. He was a guest on many network talk and variety shows, including Donny & Marie and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, where he performed "Rhinestone Cowboy". He also appeared on Cher, the Redd Foxx Comedy Hour, The Merv Griffin Show, The Midnight Special, DINAH!, Evening at Pops with Arthur Fiedler and The Mike Douglas Show.
In the mid-1970s, he had more hits with "Rhinestone Cowboy", "Southern Nights" (both U.S. number one hits), "Sunflower" (U.S. number 39) (written by Neil Diamond), and "Country Boy (You Got Your Feet in L.A.)" (U.S. number 11).
"Rhinestone Cowboy" was Campbell's largest-selling single and one of his best-known recordings, initially with over 2 million copies sold. Campbell had heard songwriter Larry Weiss' version while on tour of Australia in 1974. Both songs were in the October 4, 1975, Hot 100 top 10. "Rhinestone Cowboy" continues to be used in TV shows and films, including Desperate Housewives, Daddy Day Care, and High School High. It was the inspiration for the 1984 Dolly Parton/Sylvester Stallone movie Rhinestone. The main phrase of Campbell's recording was included in Dickie Goodman's Jaws movie parody song "Mr. Jaws". Campbell also made a techno/pop version of the song in 2002 with UK artists Rikki & Daz and went to the top 10 in the UK with the dance version and related music video.
"Southern Nights", by Allen Toussaint, his other number one pop-rock-country crossover hit, was generated with the help of Jimmy Webb, and Jerry Reed, who inspired the famous guitar lick introduction to the song, which was the most-played jukebox number of 1977.
In 2005, Campbell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was announced in April 2008 that Campbell was returning to his signature label, Capitol, to release his new album, Meet Glen Campbell. The album was released on August 19. With this album, he branched off in a different musical direction, covering tracks from artists such as Travis, U2, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jackson Browne, and Foo Fighters. It was Campbell's first release on Capitol in over 15 years. Musicians from Cheap Trick and Jellyfish contributed to the album as well. The first single, a cover of Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)", was released to radio in July 2008.
In March 2010, a then-farewell album titled Ghost on the Canvas was announced which served as a companion to Meet Glen Campbell (2008).
Following his late 2010 Alzheimer's diagnosis, Campbell embarked on a final "Goodbye Tour", with three of his children joining him in his backup band. He was too ill to travel to Australia and New Zealand in the summer of 2012. His final show was on November 30, 2012, in Napa, California. After the end of the tour, Campbell entered the studio in Nashville to record what would be his final album, AdiĂłs, which would not be revealed until five years later. According to his wife, Kim Campbell, he wanted to preserve "what magic was left", in what would be his final recordings. In January 2013, Campbell recorded his final song, "I'm Not Gonna Miss You", during what would be his last recording sessions. The song, which is featured in the 2014 documentary Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me, was released on September 30, 2014, with the documentary following on October 24. On January 15, 2015, Campbell and fellow songwriter Julian Raymond were nominated for Best Original Song at the 87th Academy Awards.
On August 30, 2016, during the 10th Annual ACM Honors, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton and others performed a medley of Glen Campbell's songs in tribute to him. His wife Kim Campbell accepted the Career Achievement Award on his behalf. Alice Cooper described him as being one of the five best guitar players in the music industry.
Campbell's final album AdiĂłs, featuring twelve songs from his final 2012â13 sessions, was announced in April 2017. It was released on June 9, 2017. AdiĂłs was named by the UK's Official Charts Company as the best-selling country/Americana album of 2017 in Britain.
Campbell died in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 8, 2017, at the age of 81. He was buried in the Campbell family cemetery in Billstown, Arkansas.

My reactions through my Nintendo E3 2021âs highlight picks
Hey guys! You know me from what been checking on E3 announcement last week. I even did my other posts to mention it of đ°Mario + Rabbits sequel game and đđForza Horizon 5 as my interests picks.
June. 13th, 2021 - Link Here
June. 14th, 2021 - Link Here #2
Now it's finally time that I can talk through Nintendo E3 2021's announcement of games and content; after reveals back in June 15th that I should've bring this sooner, but due to working on my other tasks that I'm gonna save it til today. Hoping that I had time for free time to explain of what I feel for Nintendo E3 2021 Direct reveal for this month of June; especially which one that I finding most interested so I could added through my wishlist on eShop app. So today, here's my interesting picks for Nintendo E3 reveal this year; whether you agreed or disagree of how it goes when you suggest other was. I know if everyone so close to look forward the Switch Pro reveal, but it seems that it didn't happen anytime soon. Anyways, now get into my picks that I screenshot and edited through last week's Nintendo Direct I've managed.
First top left - âđKazuya Mishima joining Super Smash Bros Ultimate
First off, I knew that there will be at least one Super Smash Bros DLC Fighter reveal; before saving the last one for coming months this year soon. What's really unexpected to see though is a second Bandai Namco fighter after đťPAC-MAN, but sadly its not Lloyd that if everyone hoping he would've upgraded from a Mii Costume to a true fighter yet. (Like we ever getting another sword fighter once again. đ) No, it was actually âđKazuya Mishima from the Tekken series. My reaction was caught my attention since it started when he carrying Ganondorf to the lava pit and so does other fighters that is really dark. Except for Kirby that thankfully knows how to get away, but still. If I remember his origin through reading wiki site though, at time he used to be good until his father Heihachi sees him as his weakness. Later when Heihachi kills one of the family members that Kazuya been fond of and being thrown by his father in the cliff until he eventually climbs back up when his devil gene activates. Ever since then, Kazuya is now antagonist for the recent Tekken games so far and seeing him to match fight against Smash was an unexpected sight. I remember the time after hearing Masahiro Sakurai's interview where he consider Heihachi to be playable for Smash 4, but pass over due to implement his moveset to be difficult. But here we are seeing for Kazuya instead that it really sure takes time to deliver. After his moveset through his reveal could be challenging to work it out on command. Let's just wait to figure out once Sakurai will finally bring us his next presentation next week, but for now knowing this Tekken fighter joining Smash was a unique idea that Sakurai managed to work it out.
Second top right - đMario Party Super Stars
How about that when where seeing the next Mario Party game brings us? Despite the recent 2018 Super Mario Party, this will be the twelfth installment to be heading Nintendo Switch this year's đOctober 2021; this time having 100 remastered minigames like I've seen them before on previous Mario Party games. My reaction was good to see how it continues on, but sure miss that time I remember from my childhood for the original first Mario Party game on the N64 console. So what's get me attention is the recognized boards such as đđPeach's Birthday Cake makes a comeback! It looks the way that I remember from playing the N64 game when the layouts off frosting goodness and the song to match as well. It was really something when it comes from Nintendo and their past N64 games I have memories fond of. đđđź
youtube
I give this Nintendo a good move when trying to bring back Mario Party again as a E3 reveal, but maybe just maybe if it will be this good from previous Mario Party games in terms of selling copies. Who knows? *Shrug*
Third middle left - Metroid Dread
However, if you really looking forward a new Nintendo game coming to October 2021 early is a most recognized franchise making a return....meanwhile Metroid Prime 4 is still in development. At least knowing this game can take us time before the fourth prime game can be finished, but man that everyone went crazy after the reveal of Metroid Dread! It the return of 2D Metroid game in action after the success of Samus Return for 3DS back in September 2017. My reaction was surprised and impressive for the looks and feels about this game's tone; especially the haunting part where the robot named "EMMI" (but don't be confused with the word Emmy as an Emmy Award like if would funny. đ
) trying to catch up with Samus and it's game over....đľ I think I could add this into my wishlist and it would be the first time I'll be owning this Metroid game for my Switch system. Fact: Metroid Dread was originally plan as a Nintendo DS title way back in mid 2000s, but sadly being cancelled due to technical limitations.
Fourth middle right - đŁWarioWare Get It Together
I was hoping if Warioware could come back for the lastest Switch system and they finally called. However, this game will take a different approach than doing minigames of yourself, but with your characters do it for you. For this latest Warioware game of picking noses, it'll be having one of the characters such as Wario, Mona, Jimmy T, 9-Volt, and others to do on all minigames with their strengths and skills they can managed. My reaction was pretty good knowing that Nintendo is making this a unique idea than doing a same microgame gameplay style from previous ones, but in a fun way. Cross my fingers if I'll be saving this as a digital download version. Like that time I actually got "Warioware Touched!" for my 2DS/3DS handheld system back in April 2016, but sadly lost it of deletion unfortunately....đ§ Link Here #3
Fifth middle bottom - Game & Watch The Legend of Zelda
And finally is something that we're hoping to expect during almost halftime of their E3 direct reveal. Knowing this year is The Legend of Zelda 35th Anniversary, you probably hoping they can bring something to celebrate one of the most recognized series run. While it was shocking to know they won't be having plans to do; even for me that I finding baffling for Nintendo would do this. At least they wanted to make up for it by having to released the HD remastered version of Skyward Sword coming next month and giving us a second look for the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel until it'll be released next year....eventually. What's my pick though is the Game & Watch version for The Legend of Zelda; the same thing of what it made for Super Mario and during its 35th Anniversary run last year. For this next one will have 3 related Zelda games: 1987 original, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and a special Game and Watch version of Vermin, but playing as Link as he trying to clobbered the octoroks instead of moles. Looks like it'll be a different take from what the Super Mario version have, but hoping it won't be the limited edition once maybe I could get one of those a try. So for my reaction was pretty alright. đđđź
Overall:
Man that is the list for my interests picks I gotten, but after watching Nintendo E3 Direct for this year sure worth it at the end. It was very impressive direct despite of absent games not being showed like Bayonette 3 or Metroid Prime 4, but with other announcements such as Metroid Dread and Mario Party Super Stars does give us something for the win.
What did you think about this list of my interesting picks for Nintendo E3, though? Give yourself some likes and reblogs for this post I bring. Anyways, I'm just gonna check on my P-Pal's secret art trade part for me that I should've done it early. Sorry about making this post that I took hours to finished, @murumokirby360

Shawn Michaels: The Showstopper Unreleased
WWE has release a few Shawn Michaels DVDs over the years, but continuing on the theme of my last few wrestling-centered entries, WWE Home Video stuck with their âunreleasedâ brand of DVDs in 2018 with the three-disc release of Shawn Michaels: The Showstopper Unreleased (intro - I could not locate a trailer for this anywhere!). In that clip Shawn quips that the producers deserve an award for finding previously unreleased matches. I believe the criteria for this release is still similar to previous âUnreleasedâ collections where they may have aired on television (and thus likely in the WWE Network archives) or long discontinued VHS tapes, but this DVD will mark the first time the matches are available on disc. Also included is a new interview with Michaels that they broke up in several parts and sporadically inserted throughout the collection. The first disc is something special as it essentially is a âBest of Rockersâ DVD. The first two matches are from Shawnâs rookie year in 1985 for Mid-South in quick enhancement matches for Hector & Chavo Guerrero and Jake âThe Snakeâ Roberts. Matches serve their purpose, but it is nonetheless fascinating to see how Shawn had that already apparent potential in him way back in 1985. The remaining 11 matches on the first disc are all Rockers matches, with the first three tag matches being from their Midnight Rockers AWA days with two bouts against Doug Summers & Buddy Rose and one more with Brian Knobbs & Dennis âIâm not bookedâ Stamp. The two Summers & Rose matches are show-stealers that had exhilarating beginning/middle/end structures, and was fun to watch the 1980s crowd go nuts for.
The first disc is almost all AWA & WWF Rockers matches!! For the eight WWF Rockers matches, they consist of almost an all-star lineup of a golden age for WWF tag teams where they square off against the likes of Demolition, Brain Busters, Hart Foundation, Natural Disasters and Legion of Doom. The sad thing about The Rockers back then is that as charismatic and agile as they were back then, they mostly made other teams look good in their WWF run and that is the case here as they lose six of those eight WWF matches. Even worse is the two matches they win is a DQ win against the Rougeaus after Jimmy Hartâs megaphone is used, and a countout win against the Orient Express. That said, a lot of the other matches are pretty damn good, with high honors going to the Brain Busters bout, two Demolition matches and surprisingly working in a lot of good stuff against Legion of Doom. Worth pointing out is another good match against the Hart Foundation where it seems noticeable the teams missed their cue to go home because the match starts to feel there is no end in sight when out of nowhere during an abdominal stretch a bunch of wrestlers run in and an awkward impromptu brawl ensues and the match is declared a draw.
Disc two has 12 matches from Shawnâs first singles WWF run from 1992-1998. Some highlights from this are an unsurprising technical showcase with Mr. Perfect, oddly having a positive dynamic with Bret Hart to team up against the Blu Brothers in 1995 and predictable-yet-high quality formula matches during his first WWF Title run against 1-2-3 Kid and Steve Austin. Disc two has a disappointing triple tag elimination match with Shawn, Diesel and Undertaker against Psycho Sid, Tatanka and Kama filled with lots of stalling and headscratching booking for the eliminations. There is also a questionable match against Vader a month after their controversial-yet-excellent Summerslam match, where in this match Shawn takes 95% of the offense and quickly squashes Vader in three minutes. There is also a fascinating bout against Yokozuna from the summer of 1996 in Kuwait, when Yoko is nearing the end of his WWF run due to him putting on excess weight, and the match kind of expectedly plods along, until something must have clicked for Shawn to motivate Yoko into a pretty watchable match in the back half, and the two show respect afterwards which was awesome to seeâŚ.until Yoko suddenly darts off to the back like he really has to go to the bathroom. The third disc consists of 10 matches from Shawnâs return run to WWE from 2002-2010. All the matches here are from RAW, so that means they follow the formula that still holds true for WWE TV main events today where it is either a cobbled together tag match, or a really good one-on-one match with interference or a hokey finish. There are a couple exceptions with worthwhile clean matches against Ric Flair during a Japan 2005 tour and against Christian in 2004 when he was building momentum with Tyson Tomko by his side. HBKâs matches against Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho are the highlights on disc three, but all three contests have varying degrees of interference to effect the finishes, and in some cases it actually benefits the match as is the case with Angle with the story they were telling. I was delighted to see a post-RAW dark match included with Shawn teaming with Batista against Triple H and Edge. WWE is notorious for usually doing a fun untelevised promo or bonus match for the fans after the cameras go off the air with some quirky moments that would never fly in a televised match. That is the case here with Triple H doing lots of exaggerated selling and fun jawing with the crowd that absolutely ate it all up for a fun time.
Shawn didn't disappoint in his 21st century run, with matches included here that don't disappoint against Ric Flair and Kurt Angle. A couple of promos are uncovered like Shawn doing an open Q&A with the fans when Sensational Sherri was managing Michaels early in his singles run. Another amusing bonus promo is Shawn and Diesel doing a Times Square workout session to hype up their upcoming WrestleMania 11 match with the one-and-only Todd Pentigill hosting. The several interview clips inserted throughout the DVDs has Shawn hitting on certain parts on where he was at that stage in his career and reflecting on the infamous Barber Shop break-up with Marty, his 2002 return, rebooting a less edgy, more goofball version of DX in 2006 and retiring in 2010 (this was filmed before his ill-fated Saudi Arabia return match). From these series of introspections, it was fascinating to hear Shawn think back on why he was not all-in for teaming with Jose Lathario in his WWE Title run, and hearing him settling on being a family man in retirement and turning down multiple
WrestleMania return matches. There are also a few sets of interviews with NXT talent commenting on how lucky they are to have Shawn as a teacher at the WWE Performance Center. Shawn comments a few times here too on being proud of passing on his knowledge, and it is obvious he is genuine on his passion for his new role building talent in NXT. WWE has once again amassed another recommended collection of un-vaulted matches. I am digging this format following the Piper and Macho Man sets where they break up the action every few matches with a set of interviews. Wort mentioning is about a quarter of the 35 matches here have no commentary because they were either dark matches, or from arena shows WWE use to film at regionally in the 80s and 90s and never recorded commentary for and/or lost the rights for the commentary. While there are some skippable matches, the good-to-bad ratio is largely in the positive here, and the not-so-good bouts usually at least have an entertaining backstory or era they emanate from. This all adds up for Shawn Michaels: The Showstopper Unreleased being another must-have installment of the Unreleased branding. Robert Finley Interview: Ready for the Race
BY JORDAN MAINZER
At the risk of sounding clichĂŠ, itâs truly been a long, often hard road for blues and soul singer Robert Finley. On his new album Sharecropperâs Son (out tomorrow on Easy Eye Sound), he delves into his past. Ever since he hooked up with Dan Auerbach on 2017â˛s Goin Platinum!, Finleyâs 60-year backstory has been more often chronicled in the mainstream, from being born and raised in Bernice, Louisiana and enlisting in the army as a teenager to suffering from a car accident, a divorce, and eventually ending his carpentry career after being deemed legally blind. And yes, he never gave up and eventually got lucky, being discovered busking by Music Maker Relief Foundation, touring, releasing an album, and eventually establishing a long-term collaborative relationship with Auerbach. Yet, until now, Finley hasnât written about his early childhood, being raised along with his 7 siblings on a crop share in Louisiana.
Sharecropping refers to an agricultural legal arrangement where a landowner allows a tenant to use land in exchange for the share of the crops produced. It was a popular arrangement in the South from the Reconstruction to Jim Crow years following the abolishment of slavery; in reality, it was just another way for white Americans to maintain economic hegemony over Black Americans. âYou get all the work, and the money never seems to come,â Finley told me over the phone in March from his home in Louisiana. âYou always break even, and unless you own the farm, you really didnât benefit. The checks from the cotton and from the corn didnât come in your name.â In other words, Finley said, âSharecroppers donât get their share.â
Sharecropping was backbreaking, âout in the hot red sun,â Finley sings on the albumâs title track, âwhere the work is never done,â Auerbachâs blistering guitar and keyboards shimmering like rays from the sun. That said, Finley never realized how rough things truly were. âWe were poor and didnât know it,â he told me, citing the fact that because they were never hungry, he actually thought they were rich. âWe had cows. We had chickens. We had hogs. We had fresh milk...It was like we were really living it up!â he said. Moreover, since many of their neighbors didnât have direct access to fresh food, Finleyâs father would share their bounty, from meat to vegetables. And, as the youngest son, he spent a lot of time helping his mom in the kitchen, citing that experience as partially inspiring his love of cooking to this day.
With Sharecropperâs Son, Finley is not trying to provide a list of lamentations. âItâs not a pity party,â he said. Even more than not going hungry, Finley cites his fatherâs optimism and generosity as formative. âMy dad, in his religious beliefs, always hoped for better things and a brighter tomorrow...at the end of the day, after picking the cotton, or pulling the corn, we had plenty to give away. I donât know if my dad sold some of it, but I think he did way more giving than selling.â Eventually, his father âwised upâ and gave up sharecropping, and to this day, Finleyâs brothers and sisters, despite only his oldest and youngest sister graduating from school, live comfortably. Notably, Finley also holds where he grew up near and dear to his heart. On âCountry Childâ, he juxtaposes harsh memories of cotton fields with yearning for the more comforting aspects of the South, especially country girls who âgive you a country smile.â He mentioned me that the sparse population of rural Louisiana meant that he had to cross rivers just to see his neighbors, but also that folks in a many mile radius knew each other well, to the point that âyou could get a couple boards and put them in front of your house, and someone would ask you what youâre doing with them.â
Above it all, Finley learned from both his fatherâs mindset and his own ability to overcome. âThatâs why I tell my story / So you could start dreaming too,â he sings on âMy Storyâ, while the hand percussion-laden âStarting To Seeâ details the symbolic perspective on life he gained after losing his sight. And the album ends with spiritual gospel waltz âAll My Hopeâ. Even better, Finley offers himself up for his listeners, on tracks like âI Can Feel Your Painâ, a church organ hymn where he empathizes with folks suffering from everything from COVID-19 to police brutality. Itâs why he stays positive and keeps on keeping on. As someone who walked again after an accident despite the odds and who was âdiscoveredâ so late in life, he doesnât let practicality tamper his ambitions. âLike a horse in the stall,â he said, âIâm ready for the race.â
Below, read my conversation with Finely, edited for length and clarity.
Since I Left You: What made you want to sing more autobiographically this time around?
Robert Finley: I guess it was a chance to express myself and talk about these true stories. Itâs not a made-up fantasy. Itâs real life. Itâs a chance to tell what life was like being a sharecropper. I was talking to all my siblings--4 brothers and 3 sisters, so there were 8 of us. My youngest sister doesnât remember that much about it, but Iâm the second youngest, so I wanted to get it out while all of us siblings would be able to form their opinion on it.
SILY: Would you say that the pandemic and the reckoning around the Black Lives Matter movement and subsequent increased awareness among White Americans gives these songs extra resonance?
RF: Yeah, I feel like it really opened the worldâs eyes to whatâs really going on. A lot of times, things happen we just donât want to talk about, but that donât stop âem from happening. In this case, it was a blessing to be writing about the right thing at the right time.Â
Even me and Dan Auerbach meeting, that was heaven intervention, too. What do a 30-something year old man and a 67-year old man have in common that can reach the people? It would have to be the music. Music is not a racial thing. Music, to us, is what comes from the heart and goes to the heart. If you need a blood donor or kidney donor, youâre not gonna ask what color the person was or what race the person was whoâs giving the blood and giving the kidney. The whole purpose is for you to get the kidney and stay alive. Music is pretty much the same thing. Even if people canât speak the language, they can feel the vibes of the music. Thereâs always somebody that can translate what the artist is really saying, but if the music is right, and the message in the music is right, it really doesnât matter what color the person is or where they come from. Itâs all about what comes from the heart and goes to the heart.Â
Thatâs where my songwriting comes in. To be able to reach out and touch people, because you want to give people something they can feel, that they can relate to. Not just a cool beat, not just a pretty voice, or whatever. The song needs to have a message that people can relate to. [And] as far as whether itâs soul, blues, country-western, jazz--if youâre looking for rock and roll, you can find it on the album, if youâre looking for soul, if youâre looking for country and western. Itâs got a little of everything. That was the goal, and hopefully itâs being accomplished.
SILY: It seems like everybody who works with Dan has a musical connection and shared love of the same thing, even if not a widely known song or album. Do you feel that connection?
RF: Yeah. You gotta have something positive going even for Dan to reach out to you. Dan is looking for originality. People who want to stand out, not someone whoâs trying to fit in. He looks for raw talent and gives them [opportunity] to express themselves. Heâs open-minded and open to suggestions. He wants to know Robert Finely and produce Robert Finely and not to make me into something Iâm not.Â
SILY: On âCountry Childâ, you talk about driving by a cotton field as an older man and still feeling your back hurting. But on the same song, you talk about preferring a country girl to raise a country child. Was it important for you to talk about that complex relationship with where you came from?
RF: Yeah. Donât get me wrong--I donât have a thing against city ladies--nobody in the city smiles because it makes them look tough and look hard. In the country, they wave at everybody whether they know âem or not. It doesnât matter because everybodyâs just saying hi! In the city, people live across the hall or across the street and donât know their neighbors. Itâs a whole different lifestyle. They donât let their guard down. I was trying to keep it as real as possible.
The country girls, they just wave and smile, and if you say something they donât agree with, they move on. But theyâll talk for a while, and they give you the benefit of the doubt.
Sometimes, if youâre too friendly, you can become a victim. If you go in the city smiling at everybody, they automatically know youâre not from the city. Itâs not what they do. Unless youâre properly introduced, the person across the hall wonât talk to you or know you. Itâs all about the approach. But I have learned that a smile is universal. It doesnât matter what country youâre in. If you smile, people will smile back. If youâre open-minded and open-hearted, thereâs always somebody. People will be glad to see somebody who looks at them and smiles. It breaks barriers and opens doors, even for people trying to look hard and tough.
SILY: On a couple songs on here, you improvised the lyrics, calling it âspeaking from the heart.â Do you find that the way to go when the subject matter of the song is more difficult to talk about?
RF: Yeah, I mean if you stay real with everybody, itâs not a problem. Youâve gotta be open-minded and open-hearted. Put yourself in anybodyâs situation. If you do that, you can see it from their point of view. With all the stuff thatâs negative in the world today, itâs good to be positive every chance you get. It needs to be something people can relate to in the real world, or that people can say, âIâve been through that or Iâve done that.â Itâs not something thatâs been made up like a fairytale. It has to have meaning where people can say, âYep, I remember those days.âÂ
I have 7 siblings. They all have to tell the story from their point of view. I try to leave the door open [in case] they want to tell what they remember, because they might remember something I donât or had to experience something I didnât. So when I was writing [the title track], I talked to them about it. In reality, I wanted it to be a true song that dealt with real life. Not made up. It needed to be something real they could identify with and their friends identify with where people could say, âI remember those days.â I also definitely didnât want to make it seem harder than it already was. I only went back to the cotton field and put on the overalls for the video because nobody was wearing shiny shoes in the cotton field. They might have had a pair they put on on the weekend, but they definitely didnât wear them in the field. The video could have been done anywhere, but to keep it real, I thought we needed to take it back to the country.
SILY: What did it mean for you to play with so many of the same session players as on Goinâ Platinum?
RF: It was like a family reunion. We toured together in the East Coast and West Coast. It was really an honor because everybody knew everybody. Everybody was excited to get back together because of the success of the first album. We built more or less what you could call a family relationship. Everybody knows everybody, and getting back in the studio, we got straight to work, what everybody came for. I donât know how much time Dan spent with the musicians before I got there. When I got there, it was to lay the vocals down.
What I really noticed is that all the musicians played what they feel. They listened to the groove. And all the local musicians were in a 50-mile radius of each other. I could have them all together within a couple hours.
I was probably the youngest person in the band, besides Dan--Iâm almost twice his age. When youâre with the band, it breaks out the best in you. Learning from their experience, everything theyâve done and who theyâve done it with, it makes you feel privileged to be in the company of them. Theyâre not on big ego trips and nobody has a big agenda. Iâm easy. I donât put no pressure on nobody--I just want the best out of everybody.
I love working with the Easy Eye Sound label because to me, I walk in, meet and greet, we break bread together, and we go to work. The work is hard, but I donât know if youâd even call it work.
SILY: Whatâs the story behind the album art?
RF: The label mostly [does it] and asks me for approval. Thereâs not much Iâd object to anyway. Itâs a picture of me. I seldom walk outside even to go to the mailbox without my hat on. Thatâs one of my trademarks. I always wear hats or caps. I love the artwork. To be honest, I havenât met the individual that did the artwork on it, but it very much had my approval when I saw it. Meeting everybody, sometimes itâs way down the line where I can actually meet them face to face.

January 5, 2021: The Running Man (1987) (Part 1)
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Stallone, I hadnât seen a lot of, Arnie, on the other hand. Oh, Iâve seen plenty of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, Commando, Predator, Total Recall, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Jingle All the Way, Batman and Robin, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines fills my list of seen Arnie films. Whatâs missing?
Kindergarten Cop, Twins, Junior, Last Action Hero, and True Lies certainly come to mind. And yeah, you mightâve noticed that those are all action-comedies. Two of these will be seen during Comedy April; oneâs gonna be watched tomorrow. Of course, there are still other movies missing in that list above, but Schwarzenegger has a LOT of movies. And so, today, weâre going for one of his â80s action films, based off of a Stephen King story. Thatâd be a little movie called The Running Man.
A movie set in the far-flung dystopian future of...2019...The Running Man is one of Schwarzeneggerâs understated classics, at least as compared to his other dynamos of the era. All I know is, itâs his only major big pure action film of the time thatâs slipped under my radar. I donât have any particular expectations going in, but Iâm expecting some typical Schwarzenanigans.Â
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
Recap
So, the global economy collapsed in 2017, eventually leading to a global police state and state-controlled television. High censorship reigns, and the most popular show (of all time, apparently) is a gladiator-type series called âThe Running Man.â Any dissent is quickly crushed, which (naturally) has led to a small underground resistance movement, like it always does.Â
As we start, police helicopter pilot Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger), an authority figure with a conscience (unsurprisingly), using his vehicle (which operates off of the above seen UNIXSYSTEM (I know this)) to monitor and detect potential riots. Richards proceeds to defy orders to fire on innocent citizens who only want food, and gets knocked out by his coworkers.
We cut to 18 months later, where Richards is confined to a work camp, where people die, and nobodyâs loved. Theyâre all wearing detonator collars, and I know the plot of the movie.
Seriously, the plot, the ending, Schwarzeneggerâs role, itâs all done. I got it. Iâve seen this story a thousand times. Heâs gonna be recruited to join the Running Man game show that the guards are talking about, escape just before theyâre gonna kill him (probably), join up with the rebellion, bring new life into them, probably fall in love at some point, and then take down the head of the police state and/or the game show.
I got this. Which is a little disappointing, if Iâm right. Automatically got some points against it, but hopefully Iâll still enjoy the ride.Â
Anyway, back to the gulag. Schwarzenegger and another prisoner stage a fight, allowing the third prisoner to try hacking the perimeter fence that triggers the collars. After losing a guy so that we can see somebodyâs head blow up, the perimeter is shut down, and all of the prisoners escape.Â
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, weâre introduced to the Running Man, a DOJ-sponsored game show in which the contestants are âcriminals, traitors, and enemies of the state,â who are essentially executed on national television. Dark. I like it. Our escapees meet up with the underground, and they get their collars taken off. Not wanting to get involved in any rebellion (yeah, OK, sure), Richards leaves the city. And heâs definitely never gonna come back for any reason.
We now meet our villain of the piece, Damon Killian, played by the Kissing Bandit himself, Richard Dawson. And Iâm not gonna lie, casting Dawson as the countryâs greatest game show host is...great, itâs great, itâs one of my favorite casting choices so far this month. Dawson, for those of you who didnât know, was the first host of Family Feud. He also had a well-known penchant for kissing the female contestants that came on the show. Thatâs how he earned the moniker, âThe Kissing Bandit.â And yeah, it was a little creepy, in retrospect.
Killian immediately comes off as a two-faced slime, and I am more ready for this character than I have ever been. I mean, an evil game show host? SOLD! If they ever remake this movie, I would give good money to see either John OâHurley or (please, please) Steve Harvey take up this role, since both have been Family Feud hosts. Could you imagine?
We also meet Amber, our inevitable love interest played by Maria Conchita Alonso, whoâs watching the news, with Benâs face on it. We learn that heâs known as the âButcher of Bakersfield,â being framed as a âmaniacâ who fired on innocent civilians (when, of course, thatâs what he was trying to prevent. I feel like thereâs a comment on the media to be made here, but I ainât gonna make it. Yet.). Amber now lives in his brotherâs apartment, as he was taken for reeducation. Iâm sure heâs fine.
Killian sees footage of the escape, wants Ben Richards for the show, and immediately calls the Presidentâs agent to make it happen. I love it. Richards, in the meanwhile, coerces a tied up Amber to help him get out of the city. We get to see the treat of a 6â˛4âł Austrian man wearing a badly-fitting Hawaiian shirt, which just looks ridiculous, and I appreciate it.Â
It immediately doesnât work, and she rats him out, leading to his inevitable capture by the cops, and to our hero meeting our villain for the first time.Â
Dawson makes Ben an offer he canât refuse, having kidnapped his prison friends in order to coerce Ben to compete in his show, âThe Running Man.â Ben agrees, and is subjected to a medical procedure and sedated. Amber, in the meantime, starts to realize that the government sucks, and might be framing Richards. And then, Climbing For Dollars comes on.
I am more confident than I should that that show either does or will exist. Bet.
Anyway, Ben âThe Butcher of Bakersfieldâ is the main attraction on the show tonight! We get a montage of women dancing on a darkened stage in â80s tights, choreographed by original American idol judge, Paula Abdul! Small world, that.Â
Damon Killian comes on stage, pouring on the smarmy charm to the audience, on and off screen. Something about how slimy he is just reeks 80s, and Iâm living for it. Ben Richards is introduced using a bit of edited footage framing him as the Butcher, which also places Killian as an avenger and hero of the people, which...yeah, continuing to dig it. The audience jeers as the dancers parade around him in theater, eventually revealing...
I canât decide if he looks terrible or fantastic in this outfit.
Itâs revealed then that Killianâs double-crossed Ben (unsurprisingly), and his friends have been brought to compete in the game regardless. Itâs also revealed that the âRunnersâ will be pursued by the âStalkers.â And if they survive, they could win prizes like a fair trial, or maybe even a pardon if they get far enough! Whoof. This is a rough dystopia, and one with enough tinges of reality, that itâs palpable. BUT ANYWAY! Itâs time to start running!
The guys are shot down a sick-looking bullet tube thatâs almost certainly given someone an epileptic seizure in the past, and they exit into the mean streets of Los Angeles. Edith from the show audience picks the first Stalker to go out and hunt them down: Subzero.
Actually, this is Professor Subzero, played by Professor Toru Tanaka, a professional wrestler of the day. The group meet him in a hockey rink, where heâs covered in armor, carries a weaponized hockey stick, and uses explosive hockey pucks like a GODDAMN BATMAN VILLAIN.
I love this movie.
Well, the future Mister Freeze kills Professor SubZero, Because there can only be one ice-themed supervillain here. This is also the first time a Stalker has been killed in the showâs history. And wow, Ben is making himself look REAL bad. Both because of killing a Stalker, and by spitting out TWO shitty action movie lines in a row.
Ratings are up, Amber gets caught proving Benâs innocence, and the next two Stalkers are chosen. One is Buzzsaw, armed with a chainsaw and super-strength.
The other is Dynamo, a GODDAMN OPERA SINGER WITH A METAL MOHAWK WEARING A SUIT THAT GRANTS HIM ELECTROKINESIS.

Part 4 - Iâve Been Duped...
It was to be expected that some of those who brought us some of the less essential Fall releases would also respond to Smith's death. One of worst was the first to arrive and it came from perennial recyclers Secret Records; a repackaging of 10 live tracks from the 2002 âA Touch Sensitiveâ DVD â already reconfigured multiple times â on an LP titled, and this absolutely beggars belief, âBest Ofâ and credited to âThe Fall & Mark E Smithâ, a credit never once used on a release in Smith's lifetime (a few gig posters, yes but never a record). Released just 3 months after Smith's death for about ÂŁ18-20, this received the derision it deserved and, judging from the number of copies for sale on Discogs and their current asking prices, it appears to have sold just a little more than fuck all.
But even this was overshadowed come March 2019 when Ozit/Dandelion released what has to be The Worst Fall Release Ever. Pressed into horrid orange vinyl, the contents of âMark's Personal Holiday Tony Tapesâ were staggeringly poor. Proudly labelled as âNon-Record-Store-Day Releaseâ (was it turned down?) the record boasted just 8 tracks. The album tried to elide its rotten contents by calling all the tracks âMark's Personal Holiday Tony Tapesâ. Track 1 was a 6 minute version of âLast Nachtâ from âI Am Kurious Oranjâ. The released track doesn't actually feature within the 6 minutes so this is probably an outtake and therefore probably not owned by Beggars Banquet. There is a drop out lasting several seconds that has gone uncorrected and it's about 4 minutes longer than it needs to be, confirming the brevity of the version used in 1988 to be bob on. Tracks 2, 4, 6 and 8 are live tracks from 1981, all of which had already been released on the otherwise unimpressive âNorthern Creamâ DVD. What is barely credible is that tracks 3, 5 and 7 are also âLast Nachtâ but not further alternates, rather being Track 1 cut into 2 minute pieces and simply repeated! Did they think we wouldn't notice?! Utterly awful, thoroughly exploitative and an absolute disgrace. They also stumped up a 30 minute DVD of MES being interviewed. This bore the thoroughly unappealing title â30 Minutes On A Manchester Slag Heapâ. I only ever saw this for sale on eBay but a couple of clicks confirmed that it was Ozit/Dandelion product being sold by them through that channel. The cover was of a slag heap rather than of MES. Enough said.
OK, let's tidy up, what's next?
The immediate future sees 2 vinyl releases in the August âdropâ of the now-staggered, socially-distanced RSD2020; a double LP of â[AusturbĂŚjarbĂĂł] - ReykjavĂk Live 1983â on the now inevitable splatter vinyl and a single LP of  âCerebral Causticâ on multi-coloured âbonkersâ (their word, absofuckinglutely not mine) splatter vinyl because of course it is. That's all for RSD this year, a move which represents far better judgement by the organisers. A studio album out of print on vinyl for 25 years and a properly sought after live release on the format for the first time? Yeah, that fits well with what RSD was meant to be back when we all queued up for a âBury Pts 2 + 4â 7â in 2010.
Now, a fun wee question mark was raised over âCCâ when the RSD website credited the release to Demon rather than Cherry Red. It appears Demon have the Permanent Records catalogue and have also announced clear vinyl reissues of âThe Infotainment Scanâ, âMiddle Class Revoltâ, âThe Twenty-Seven Pointsâ and, perhaps most interestingly, âThe Post Nearly Manâ, all on clear vinyl with expanded artwork from Pascal LeGras. It looks as though these are coming in under the ÂŁ20 mark (ÂŁ25 for T27P) and I reckon they'll be popular â I fancy nabbing MCR and TPNM myself. A bit of a downer that all of these, except, oddly, âThe Post Nearly Manâ were recently rescheduled from September 2020 to January 2021 but hey ho â probably Covid-related, much like everything else.
As for Cherry Red, whilst one report had it that âAre You Are Missing Winnerâ was next, they are finally releasing a 3CD/2LP edition of âImperial Wax Solventâ in October. This includes the much-discussed original mix by Grant Showbiz and a previously unavailable live set from shortly after the album's original release. This is, basically, exactly what we wanted. Hurrah! Can't wait.
Thanks to the speculation re: AYAMW, there was a little disappointment in come quarters and I can certainly see a healthy audience for a straight single LP pressing of that as it was only ever available on a picture disc vinyl before. Here's hoping they won't go for a double splatter vinyl with unnecessary extras (âWhere's The Fuckin' Taxi? Cuntâ on vinyl? Come on, SPARE US). Â
To yr present authors surprise, an expanded edition of âThe Frenz Experimentâ was announced for release by Beggars Banquet/Arkive in October. I had reckoned a new vinyl edition was likely as it was the only studio album on BB not yet afforded a new pressing and the addition of a second LP with various singles tracks was no surprise either, given that there are similar packages available for âTWAFWâ, âTNSGâ and âBend Sinisterâ. A very pleasant surprise however is the inclusion of the group's Janice Long session from 1987, their only unreleased Radio 1 session. Also, âA Day In The Lifeâ has been licenced for the this also (it was the only studio recording from the era missing from â5 Albumsâ). The Long session and â...Lifeâ are only on the CD version. As such, this release very much follows the pattern of the âBend Sinisterâ reissue from 2018 and is likely inspired by the near ecstatic reception and healthy sales that release enjoyed. Nice that the CD edition is ÂŁ12 this time, having been more like ÂŁ22 for âBend Sinisterâ.
Let Them Eat Vinyl are responsible for the illustration...they are planning an almost ludicrous onslaught of Fall vinyl. Their website currently lists an almost unbelievable THIRTY ONE Fall LP releases for the three months running September to November. Thirty-one. Now â this includes âInterimâ which is already on the shelves but it also includes the âLive From The Vaultsâ releases. It was assumed from the inclusion of two of these on Cherry Red's âDragnetâ 3CD box that these were part of the Fall Sound Archive deal that MES cut with CR in the years before his death which makes this a bit interesting. Also, LTEV are also claiming they will release âThe Post-Nearly Manâ on vinyl in October, which clashes with Demon's schedule â they originally had Smith and The Fall's albums for Permanent Records releases slated for reissue in September but all except TPNM have been moved. Meanwhile, âCog Sinisterâ are about to release TPNM on CD! After being unavailable and highly prized for 2 decades, we're now set for 3 separate reissues within 2 months! Â Anyway, the vast majority of the remaining LTEV are discs from the 2 âsets of ten (really eleven)â although also included are the excellent âI Am Pure As Oranjâ and the first vinyl edition of âThe Light User Syndromeâ since its original release in 1996. Caveat Emptor, as the saying goes.
Narnack are also hinting that a 3LP âFall Heads Rollâ isn't too far off. Having teased this for a couple of years, Early in 2020, it was announced that the label was folding. This announcement was deleted and Narnack immediately moved on to asking fans to suggest what additional material could be added to this new version. Never one of their best, there would have to be some impressive outtakes to persuade yr persent scribe to cough up. Â
Elsewhere, Phonogram have yet to succumb to new vinyl pressings of their albums, despite the prices fetched on the collectors market for these, especially âCode-Selfishâ. This may be partly due to what seems to have been a relatively low take-up for their 6CD box set from 2017. Titled âThe Fontana Yearsâ, this was just the 2CD editions of the three albums from 2007 in a box. It therefore looked weak next to the âSingles 1978-2016â box set as well as providing nothing attractive to the faithful who already had them. It hit the shelves at ÂŁ35-40 a time and, unsurprisingly, remained there and can now be scored for around ÂŁ20.
The much requested expansion of âThe Real New Fall LPâ with the original, very different mix of the album has yet to appear. At last count, contractual wrangles between the UK and US were said to be in the way but who knows? If âLevitateâ can reappear, surely this can too.
Of course, we never know what else the less-salubrious end of the market will have for us but we shall approach with due caution.
The cold reality: what we get now is all there is. Mark E Smith now exists for Fall fans on paper, on magnetic tape, on vinyl and in combinations of 0 and 1. A sad fact. But it is clear that the appetite for The Fall is, if anything, increasing. Hindsight is presenting The Fall in a particularly clear light. In such a stylised, filtered and carefully marketed world, full of covert strategies and manipulative messaging, The Fall are reassuringly flawed, human, real. Their jagged edges, their constant state of flux, their DIY presentation and their disinterest in convention draws in the curious. The quantity of music suits an insatiable, want-it-all-and-now culture and, having made their albums for the vinyl format as well as bringing us so many magnificent 3-4 minute singles, their music is almost perfectly suited to today's market place where vinyl albums mix with song-by-song streams. People who love to write about music always loved The Fall and it seems that this is every bit as true today as it was in the days when we never had to wait any more than a few months for a missive of some sort, be it an album, a single, a Peel session or even just an entertaining interview.
Given that The Beatles â the most lauded rock/pop act of all time - have finally reached a generation to whom their blithe optimism means absolutely nothing, it is impossible to say how anything in music will be regarded 20 years from now. But for now, at least, The Fall endure. Their vibrations remain intense and powerful. And we, the people, dance to the waves.
Nine out of ten? Nah. Ten out of ten. Top marks.Â
