heres some random info about my life as well as some of my favorite things

i am a libra sun, aquarius moon, capricorn rising

i like dark chocolate more than any other; i have since i first got my period. i like gummy candy and starbursts but my favorite are the little cola bottle candies. i like tea and coffee sweet, but flavorful. i like energy drinks and slushees and wanted my first tattoo to be a cola-mtn dew slushee but it wasnt. i like waffles more than pancakes but would prefer a toaster strudel or muffin. i like apples and lemons and cinnamon and garlic and truffle and black cherries but not maraschino. i dont like onions or cilantro or swiss cheese. i dont like chili because something about the consistency of wet, tomato-ee hamburger makes me ill. i also can't drink hard liquor.

i like smells like thick cologne that lingers and juniper and spearmint and old houses and honeysuckle and the smells of the earth when it stops raining in the summer. i like the smell of other peoples laundry soap and coffee more than my own. i like eucalyptus and aloe and teakwood and dragons blood incense.

i like classic rock from my dad and 80s pop ballads from my mom and afi and lincoln park from my older sibling and 4*TOWN for my younger sibling. one of my earliest loves in music was Paramore, and hayley is an inspiration of mine. i like pop punk and the band ive seen the most is sleeping with sirens, 4 times now. i like hip hop and rnb and acapella and piano. i like music that makes me feel alive. anything from violin to screaming, i just like passion. i'm a very passionate person and always have been despite myself.

i sing and like singing in the car, while i shower, and cook. i am very loud but sometimes can do cool things. i like how singing makes me happy and helps me relate to other people and also my predecessors. i like how i feel connected to those before me through my voice. my first time singing in public was my 4th grade talent show. I sang The Only Exception by Paramore because my parents thought Almost Lover was too dramatic and adult for a 12 year old

i like old movies and i used to fall asleep to them at my grandparents and wake up to them at weekends at my dads apartment. i like musicals like ride the cyclone and drama like the fault in our stars and action like john wick and will always be down for a horror movie. i like get out and candyman and hereditary and black swan and blair witch and creep. i like the twilight zone and rod serling has a special place in my heart. i also like alex trebek from jeopardy, matthew grey gubler, penn badgely, andrew scott, evan peters, and my biggest current celeb crush is matt rife.

i like being alone in busy places. i like to talk to people but i also like to disappear to the other room during the party. im the girl you find sitting outside sometimes smoking, or on the balcony. i enjoy walking back into a concert midsong and seeing all the happy little people being happy. i like stepping away from chaos to appreciate it. i like driving on highways at night when its empty and im high. i like watching airplanes land. i like sleep and i sleep in a tank top and underwear but never socks. my dreams always take me back to this very similiar place every single night doing different tasks with different people. i might start calling it the twilight zone. i like to paint my emotions in my makeup and artwork. i have always felt very deeply and openly.

Emily King's "The European Tour" concert review - July 4th, 2024

Last night, American R&B singer Emily King was in Paris for her European tour. The opening part was done by a French singer. It wasn't bad, although it isn't the music I usually listen to.

A few minutes later, Emily King came on the stage and started off the show with Medal (from her latest album Special Occasion). She kept it going with The Switch (from the album of the same name) and continued with Can't Hold Me (from Scenery), The Animals (from The Switch), Anyway I Love You (her latest song), By You I Mean Me (a bonus track from The Switch), Georgia (from her EP The Seven EP), This Year (from Special Occasion) and she ended the show with Remind Me (from Scenery).

Although I found it a bit short, I really liked the concert. I had already seen her before so I knew what I was expecting and it was great. She's one of my favorite artists and I love what she does. Thanks for reading!

just when i think i'm safe from fandom trope stupidity in the 4th chapter of the 3rd installment of a fic series i am blindsided by the bandana bullshit and the author acting as if bandanas weren't a common accessory for metalheads in the 80s for no deep reason aside from the aesthetic and maybe copying james hetfield. and it also implies the dom eddie sub steve bullshit bc of the way it's framed i hate everything. like specifically in this fic the premise is that steve is the one who knows he's bi while eddie is the one that ends up having a sexuality realization bc of steve. and when eddie (who is just. incredibly oblivious and it ends up blowing up in his face in this fic) is explaining himself to robin says that a bunch of guys/specifically metalheads at concerts and bars wear bandanas as just an accessory robin acts like he's an idiot for not realizing they could be using the code or w/e even tho eddie is fucking right, particularly w the concerts part of that statement like jesus christ. and i knew this would come back bc it's something steve (who's been getting involved in the community/club scene and sleeping w guys) noticed early on and assumed meant eddie was flagging but i thought it would just be as a general miscommunication and not in the most annoying way possible.

hi i'm the anon that complained extensively about the bandana code featuring in a fic and i calmed down enough to continue reading bc i do generally like this fic and author only for it to go harder w the dom eddie sub steve stuff (and specifically have robin say steve would be into the stuff eddie was saying about imagining steve crying like,,,, i will just never understand bc sm of that bs verges directly into territory overlapping w steve's various traumatic experiences and esp him getting tortured so no i do not think that makes any sense for steve. i also firmly believe that if eddie made steve cry he would not be able to handle it at all), have eddie make fun of robin for being into vickie bc vickie is boring, and further imply ronance might happen. i am never giving ppl the benefit of the doubt again.

i think when it comes to eddie and flagging, people are just so desperate for it to be queer coding, that they ignore any facts that point to the others. yeah, metalheads wore that kinda shit, and they probably weren’t all queer. and it’s super weird of robin to like, judge eddie for not knowing that? people just love having robin pop up in fics as a judgmental lesbian and i hate it lol

also hate when you lower your standards and accept that you’ll have to read a fic and it turns out even worse then you thought.

honestly, dom eddie sub steve shit gives me the ick. like the way people write it is so often just feminising one of them (usually steve) and it just feels really fetishy. and it so doesn’t make sense when people turn around and pretend that steve would be into any of that stuff. he’s been tortured!! he’s been beaten. he’s been tied up and dragged around without his consent. why would he want any of that shit to be done to him sexually?? and crying? really. yeah, i want steve to open and vulnerable, but not like that. and i totally agree that eddie would not be able to handle any discomfort in the bed area, even if the other person wanted it.

people literally just get two attractive men and write them as having whatever sex they find attractive even if it’s fucking weird and doesn’t make sense.

I'm sorry for the delay in answering this btw it's been storming here so my wi-fi has been in and out all day!

it's actually only been a year bub! I only know because I looked it up to refresh my memory about what we talked about before cause like I said a lot had happened and I couldn't remember if we'd talked since my accident. it was last year after my birthday and after harry's house came out. but really it's alright I don't want you to feel bad!

thank you so much for the well wishes ❤ I realized after that I left some detail out of what happened to me and didn't explain it very well, but if I ramble on too much just feel free to skip over it! basically not only was I kicked but I went flying about 8 feet across my yard too, which caused me to have a compression fracture on T11 of my spine. I also had a contusion on my right hip (which is just a really, really deep and bad bruise), which is where the point of impact was. I will (hopefully) continue to improve, but having arthritis still causes me to have a ton of pain if I do too much physical activity. that part of my spine is also partly collapsed and always will be, but my neurosurgeon said that as long as my arms and legs are still okay that I should just slowly start to get back to "normal" life and listen to my body as I go along! I asked if I needed to keep up with x-rays or anything over the years but he said my symptoms would get much, much worse if the collapse got any worse and I would know I need to come back to see him. he also said IF I would've had to have surgery that it would take like 12 pins and a huge rod to correct things so I'm so SO lucky that things weren't any worse!

thank you so much for helping us manifest!!! it means more than you'll ever know because it hasn't been easy so far trying to find a place 😔 we live in such a rural area in GA and we originally wanted to stay in the same town because I was supposed to start a new job in january and we wanted to be close to my work. I probably won't get to take that job now (which is a whole other long story), and since there are very limited options we're probably gonna have to broaden our search to surrounding towns that are slightly bigger! we ultimately want a house together, but I think we're gonna have to settle for an apartment for now until we can find the perfect place for us. anything would be better than here rn though!!!

idk if I've ever talked much about my dad to you but we have as no contact of a relationship as possible even though we live in the same house. he's the reason for my accident and so the day it happened and we were waiting for the ambulance to come my mom told him that we wouldn't be coming back to this house. but then we had no choice we didn't have the money or resources needed to go elsewhere. I was worried as I got better she would forget about that and slip out of that mindset, but thankfully she hasn't! she just told me tonight we'd probably go look at apartments next week and that she can't wait to get out of here. I could truly cry at the thought of having a safe, clean, and comfortable space away from him. it's what my mom, my siblings, and our dogs all deserve!

Third time seeing Fall Out Boy. Second time seeing Bring Me The Horizon

The day started with just me going alone to the Woodlands Mitchell Wood Pavilion. I decided to ask Cody Hollis to go with me and Id spot his ticket. I’m glad he ended up coming. This might have been our 4th or 5th concert together.

We showed up just in time to listen to The Serpent, a female singer band. I love listening to female singers in a rock band! They even played “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.

Bring Me The Horizon was the next band to play. It was such a surreal experience seeing them the first time at Rockville all those years ago! They are the 2nd best performance I have ever seen behind Foo Fighters. I had that convo with Cody that night about how those two performances impacted me. This performance was good however I can do without them making us sing the lyrics. They put the S-P-I-R-I-T in “Happy Song”. They played “Drown” and of course “Throne”. It was such a thrilling experience.

Fall Out Boy played last of course. They played a few from their new album, So Much For Stardust. “Dance, Dance”, “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down”, etc. It was a splendid time. “Thnks fr th Mmrs”.

coffee is so good it’s unfair that its bad for us 😭 why r bad things always so good. smh. i think our starbies menus are deffo different, actually, a lot of our fast food menus are different me thinks. esp with the fact that malaysia is a dominantly muslim country, so a lot of chain restaurants have to be halal (muslim friendly) — therefore they don’t serve food that contain pork or alcohol. i think that's the main reason why malaysian menus are super different compared to america’s!! i know there are certain recipes available there which aren’t here </3 also!! ik most americans typically customize their starbucks — compared to that, malaysians usually opt for whatever that’s on the menu. i rarely customize my order tbh ^__^ and whats up with American mcdonalds constantly having a broken ice cream machine? istg i go for a mcdonald's ice cream run every week and its never broken 😭 oh and u mentioning thai food is making me crave for pandan leaves chicken </3
