wouldn't it be really ironic if someone bombed bakugou's future hero agency

Mina's not having a great day.
She's not all that great at defusing homemade pipe bombs, and yet here she is. Defusing a homemade pipe bomb. That someone put in her own damn agency. Literally what the fuck.
For Whumptober 2023 Day 8, Prompt #2: Outnumbered
"I feel like today was supposed to go a certain way and then decided to go the opposite way."
Mina hears Denki complaining over the comms, and glances over to see him fighting off twelve different villains- of varying skillsets, fortunately- alone while she takes care of defusing the bomb that their leader decided to plant in a very populated mostly-corporate building. Their very populated mostly-corporate building, to be more accurate.
"Well I'm sorry, would you rather be the one trying to figure out if this is a Type A or Type B pipe bomb? One of them you cut the red wire! The other kind goes off when you cut the red wire! No pressure!" Mina snipes back over the communicator, more aggravated at the situation than anything Denki's doing or saying.
"No! No! I'm sorry! Please don't put me on bomb duty!" Denki babbles frantically into his mic, and Mina at least gets a little giggle out of that.
"I'll be on bomb duty!" Katsuki yells into the communicator, and Mina rolls her eyes- not that he can see it. He's definitely the best at defusing bombs, because he's a maniac about details and bombs are all about details, but Mina's their second-best and she is also the only option for a particularly glaring reason.
"It's connected to a timer that has about three minutes left. You're in Okinawa. You will not be on bomb duty." The only reason their comms are even connected from this far away is because Hatsume upgraded the standard communicators for all licensed Pros a month ago in order to use cell towers instead of short-range wireless transmission. Thus, Katsuki and Eijirou decided to take their comms on their honeymoon, 'in case of an emergency,' according to Eijirou, and 'to laugh at your stupid problems,' according to Katsuki.
"But I'm so good at bombs! Tell me about the bomb. I will defuse it through you." Reason number two that Katsuki's not on bomb duty: he's drunk as a fucking skunk. Eijirou, though he took his comm out a few minutes before all this started going down, isn't faring much better. She can hear him in the background.
"Shut the fuck up about the bomb! Someone get me backup, they have some kind of sleeping gas they used to take two sidekicks hostage!" Hanta cuts in, and Mina goes back to focusing on the bomb. The marketing and R&D departments have both been cleared out, but she's still sitting in an empty office bullpen on the ground floor, below where a bunch of villains have somehow figured out that Eijirou and Katsuki picked this week to have their honeymoon. They had a big public wedding six months ago, and told everyone the honeymoon would be 'random' so nobody tried anything in their absence. Clearly, this did not work as well as intended.
"On it! I'm going on the main channel!" Denki responds, and starts furiously tapping at his comm to shuffle through the available channels. There's one for intra-agency communication, another for area communication- which is usually restricted to the nearest agency, which is just them, so no point- and another for all on-duty Pros. Plus more channels, but Hatsume didn't tell her where all of them connect to.
"Which sidekicks?" Mina asks idly, tracing the path of a blue wire with her finger. It connects to a canister on one side, and the timer on the other, but she doesn't know if that canister is a weird homemade battery thing or a weird homemade explosive thing. Should she just melt the explosive part when she figures it out? Sometimes that worked at UA, even though she kept getting points off for it. The last time she defused a bomb wasn't nearly this hard, but then again, she also didn't keep having to duck to avoid random objects or people being thrown in her direction.
"Radroach and Vultura." Hanta reports, and Mina sighs in disappointment. Radroach is the textbook definition of a tank, if a bit young and in need of direction, and Vultura's very quick and sneaky. With both of them taken out, they're all in much worse shape than before.
"Hey, uh, if anyone happens to be near the Ground Zero agency, we're kind of being attacked by a lot more people than we have people?" Denki's voice rings out on the main channel, which cuts in through all private channels as well as anyone who's on the main channel. He has a talent for sounding uncertain even in these kinds of situations where they definitely need backup ASAP.
It takes a minute or two of total silence over the comms, and the sound of both distant and nearby fighting before anybody responds.
"This is Ingenium II, ETA one minute. Do I want to know what I'm getting into?" Thank fuck for Iida. Super speed and a preternatural ability to be near disaster zones right where he's needed proves to be a godsend time and again, and today is definitely no exception.
"... They have a bomb?" Denki says, seemingly fully aware of the irony of that statement. Iida audibly sighs over the comms, but Mina's pretty sure he hadn't meant for that to be broadcast.
"Thank you, Class President!" She chirps, and Denki and Hanta echo it. Iida just sighs in disappointment at all of them.
True to form, he comes in through the front a few moments later, and Mina puts both of her hands up and steps back from the pipe bomb. "It seems super homemade to me, I can't make heads or tails of it. Let me know if you want me to melt anything!" With that, she relinquishes bomb duty to Iida, who takes it in stride.
"Please don't put acid on anything that could be a chemical explosive." Iida sounds tired already and he's only been here a couple of seconds. His armor looks scuffed from something that didn't happen here, and she kind of wonders what part of his shift he's on.
"Okay! Hanta, I'm on my way up!" She says to Iida and Hanta respectively, and starts running up the stairs towards the third floor, where Hanta and their sidekicks have everyone cornered.
"They went upstairs! Go there!" Hanta shouts back, and Mina guesses that he and their sidekicks had everyone cornered on the third floor. The elevators are out of service- contingency response to the 'attack alarm' being pulled, since the squishy people are on the bottom floors and therefore are less likely to need the elevators- so it should be easy for her to find which floor everybody's in.
Sure enough, the door to the fourth floor has been ripped off its hinges- why, she doesn't know- and she can hear sounds coming from inside. Remembering what Hanta said about the knockout gas, she puts her outer jacket over her nose and mouth before going inside.
Fourth floor, fourth floor... she never goes here, what the hell is on the fourth floor? She knows that people work here, she's pretty sure they're some level of squishy since she sees office desks and they're close enough to the ground floor, but she can't for the life of her remember what goes on here. She tiptoes inside, looking around for anybody causing damage or something, and she spots three people going through drawers on the other side of the room.
Thankfully, it seems like it's just these three, and one of them has their whole face exposed- not enough to rule out sleeping gas happening at the moment, but enough to suspect it's not too much of an issue right now.
"So, are you guys trying to rob us? Because all our money's at the bank, you should probably go there if you want it all that bad. Honestly, I don't know what you're looking for other than, I don't know, bruises on your bruises." Mina calls out, mentally cursing the muffled quality of her voice that comes from her makeshift gas mask. It makes the announcement much less cinematic. Thankfully, all three of the villains startle and stare at her in comedic surprise, so she's still winning in the end on that one.
"Like, are you trying to get chemical burns? Because attacking this agency specifically is how you get chemical burns." She continues, and she's not even lying- Katsuki's explosions are nitroglycerin-powered, so any damage they do classifies as 'chemical burns,' not to mention if anyone even touches any of her acid. Even the high-pH stuff is still pretty risky to anyone who's not prepared.
"We've got two of your sidekicks downstairs- " One of the villains starts, and stops when she holds up a single finger in the universal gesture for wait.
"Listen, girliepop," It should be noted that all of these villains are male, but girliepop is a state of mind, "Whatever is going on downstairs is none of my concern. I trust my coworkers, y'know? Why would I start an agency with them if I didn't trust them?" She asks, rhetorically, and doesn't wait for an answer.
"Look, I get it, we have something that you want and you don't know the word 'please.' And that's okay! We can all learn together! For example, if you could please turn yourselves in, nobody has to get hurt!" She finishes fake-sweetly, doing her best impression of a preschool teacher just for the fact that it's more annoying. She loves being annoying to people who piss her off, and making her defuse a homemade bomb is a one-way ticket to pissing her way the fuck off.
"No can do, sweetheart." A different villain says, and Mina's decided to be drop all pretenses of fake niceness. Nobody calls her sweetheart except her mom. Fuck these guys.
"Suit yourselves!" She says, and picks up a desk with one hand. They barely have enough time to duck before it's sailed across the room, and someone makes the mistake of looking back up as she's throwing a second one.
"Oooh! Headshot! How many points do I get?" She shouts as she starts walking closer. These desks aren't heavy enough to do anything better than knocking someone out, even after sailing across a room first- the worst injury that guy's got is a broken nose and maybe a concussion.
Somebody vaults over the desk he's hiding behind- brave of him- and starts running at her, with something on his arms starting to glow. Probably his quirk, and she probably doesn't want to be touching that, so she ducks down and kicks his kneecap in before he even reaches her. There's going to be so much paperwork about breaking someone's bones, she already knows, but this entire incident is already riddled with paperwork so maybe who cares?
Besides, he was about to attack her with his quirk and she didn't even use hers. Plus, she's kind of hit the limit on her patience for today, so not a lot of holds are barred right now.
"Okay! Okay! I surrender!" The last guy stands up from behind the desk, and she grabs the handcuffs off her belt and skips over to him, because why not. Someone here is finally seeing sense.
"Hold your hands out, then!" The guy, shaking, holds both his hands out before Mina realizes the cops aren't here yet, so there's nowhere she can actually put him without risk that he's going to do something. She cuffs one of his hands- the right, because it's statistically likely to be his dominant hand- and thinks about where she should put the other handcuff.
"Ah! Come on, we're going to the stairs!" In an attempt at a frog-march, she half-drags the man out to the stairs and handcuffs him to the railing. "There! Now stay still for a minute."
With that, she goes back into the bullpen and grabs a bunch of zipties from a nearby drawer. She should really start carrying more handcuffs on her, but in her defense, she's not a cop and she was in her own agency. Everyone else gets the privilege of zipties on their wrists and ankles, like she's some kind of vigilante, but again: no handcuffs. If they wanted those, they should've attacked her when she wasn't in her agency.
"Hey guys, do you need help anywhere downstairs? I'm done!" She calls out on comms, and gets a bunch of general 'same here' responses.

everyone's used to denki being the most energetic. always bouncing and moving around, always talking and making dumb silly jokes to keep the mood light among everyone.
but sometimes it gets tiring. he does his best to stay positive, he really does! sometimes he just feels so tired and forcing it is exhausting, but he really doesn't want to worry the squad and he doesn't know how to explain it to them no matter how much he's practiced it alone.
Of course they notice. It's hard not to when one of their sunrays aren't shining as bright as much as it usually does. but how can they help? it seems like he doesn't feel like talking about it when they question it so they don't want to pry, and anything they do gets them a simple small smile. while it's better than nothing, they're still set on making their boy feel better.
So, they take care of him. Making sure he eats when he's supposed to and bringing him something when he hadn't yet. Bringing him his favorite snacks and drinks, even bringing his stuffed animals and their own and 'bringing them to life', giving them silly voices and making them smooch all over the blonds face. And while it's a slow process, it does help. Though, it's more of denki seeing how much they care for him and everything they do that makes him feel better. heck, even Katsuki's willingly tucked him into bed at some point!
The more he seems to feel better, the less worried they are of doing something that'll possibly mess it all up. So it goes from those small gestures to cuddle piles on the common room floors, or even in their dorm rooms. And it's around this point, when kami's stuck under all of their weights wiggling around, that he finally cracks a joke about how he'd been the one to stuff his face with snacks yet they all weighed more than he did.
They didn't take it to heart. Plus, of course five of them together weighed more than one.
They were more focused on how much better he had to be feeling to make a joke, and of course they pushed further. From bakugo commenting on how smug denki had suddenly gotten to kirishima bringing the idea of reminding the boy how to be less 'rude', to being pinned onto his stomach with wiggling fingers at his back, sides and knees. He didn't seemed to mind ending up with a mess of static-y hair and hiccups, why would he?
That night he went to bed in the best mood he'd felt in a while. Group at his side on their mess of blankets and pillows on the floor, far past sleep. whispering a soft 'thank you' to whoever would hear him while he stared up at the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling with a grateful smile.
He was so lucky and grateful to have such great friends.

request: I don't know if you're willing to do this but Denki, just giving the reader (gender neutral please) hugs and cuddles maybe a kiss on the cheek telling them that they did great today? Like they just had a good day and Denki is saying they did good and that makes them even happier because being told they did good is one of the few things that gives them uncontrollable joy. Just pure fluff please
a/n: i hope that this is what you meant and that you like it!

The sky was orange when you walked past the doors to your agency and out to the real world. Since you were currently located in the middle of the city the air wasn’t exactly fresh, but you still felt refreshed when you took a deep breath. It was cold. Very cold, it was in the middle of winter so it wasn’t that strange. You didn’t mind the cold either, you rather liked it this evening in fact. This evening was actually really nice in general. You were straight out of school and had just spent three weeks at your first job. Of course, it wasn’t the best position but what could you expect? As of right now, you were a side kick - you got to get out into the action and that’s all you needed. Today you had finished a bunch of paperwork that was do and you even got recognized during patrol! You felt complete when you left your work building and put on your scarf.
Right now you only had one thought running around in your mind - you had to get to the metro. The train that took you straight home was about to arrive and you couldn’t miss it. Especially when it would mean that you could meet someone on this train. You never got to see him on your way home, your schedules never aligned because of your different agencies. But today was different. For once you got to end early and you would be able to meet up with him at the station. A giddy feeling spread through your chest as you started sprinting down the street with a bright smile on your face.
“Kaminari!”, as soon as you saw him you threw your hands up and ran towards him. He was standing at the station, waiting for you so that the two of you could catch the train together. He looked so peaceful. Calm on the outside, but you knew that he was definitely just as excited as you were on the inside. His eyes widened when he saw you and he put his arms out, ready for you to embrace him. So you did, you wrapped your arms around his neck. He stumbled back a bit, but quickly got back his balance. Kaminari lifted you up and spun you around. “Hello my baby...”, he softly sang in your ear and put you back down. His arms stayed around you and he slowly leaned in for a kiss, which you responded with pressing your lips on his quickly. “You’re happy today.”, he commented with a wide grin. “I had a pretty good day, I guess you could say...”, you shrugged and smiled, “Let’s catch the train, yeah?” You took his hand and he glanced down before intertwining his fingers with yours. When he looked up he did so smiling. “Let’s.”
You told him about your day, what had happened and all of the wonderful moments you had experienced. He didn’t say anything, only listened with a smile. Once the train arrived the two of you got on, noticing quickly that there were barely any seats left. Kaminari led you through the crowd of people on the train and eventually found a spot where you could stand without being pressed up against someone. Even so, Kaminari put you closest to the wall and stood in front of you - acting like a protective barrier. “You good?”, he asked with a smile and you nodded. The train started rolling towards your destination, slowly increasing in speed. Soon enough you were out of the underground station and you could see the entire city through the train window. This was your favorite part about going home. You lived right on the outskirts of the city, it was more expensive the deeper in you got to centrum, and so you never got to see the skyline like this. The sun was setting behind the buildings, making it remind you of a concrete forest. Kaminari was still holding your hand. His hand was cold. Colder than yours was before, and you had taken a pretty long walk before getting to the metro station. You took your other hand out of your pocket and held it around his. Both of your hands were now wrapped around one of his hands, the other hand he had wrapped around a handle to keep himself steady as the train moved. Kaminari gave you a confused look. The train was so quiet, you didn’t want to disturb anyone with your voice so you simply whispered: “You were cold.” His confused look turned into a smile once again and he leaned down to whisper in your ear. “You’re too cute right now.”, he chuckled and pressed a kiss to your cheek. When he leaned back again he saw your flustered face and it only made him grin wider. A voice broke the silence, coming from the intercomms, telling everyone what the next stop was. When people had gotten off Kaminari saw one free seat, and quickly sat you down there. “You deserve some rest for doing such a good job today.”, he said while the rush of people leaving made it harder for anyone else to hear. He kept his stance in front of you, like a barrier, until your stop arrived.
When you got home the two of you kicked off your shoes and raced to your couch. You threw yourself on the soft cusions, feeling your muscles relax after a long but rewarding day, only to feel the weight of another body laying on top of you. “Nooo...”, you groaned and tried to push Kaminari off of you. “Sorry, babe, you’re stuck here now.”, he sighed blissfully. Kaminari put his elbows on either side of your face and lifted his upper body off of you. You smiled adoringly at him and lifted up your hand to softly cup his face in your palm. As soon as your hand cupped his cheek he leaned into your touch and you slowly stroke your thumb over his cheekbone. “You did really good today, you know?”, he muttered, “I know you’ve had a hard time getting accustomed to your work and it’s really tough... but you’re doing very well.” “Kaminari...”, you felt your face heat up at the compliments. “I’m being serious, baby.”, he said, “I’m glad you had a good day, you deserve that.” “Thank you, honey.”, you brought your other hand up to his face and squished his cheeks, “You’re so sweet!” “Hey!”, his voice was muffled and you stopped, letting your hands fall down to the couch. “I love you.”, you wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled him down so that you could lay closer to one another. “I love you more.”, he kissed you before you could protest, “Want me to go get you something to eat? You’ve worked so hard, I could imagine you’re too tired to go make food.” “You know how I feel about you spoiling me...”, you sighed, “... but I wouldn’t say no to some food right now.”
After the two of you had something to eat and each had a shower you went back to your position on the couch. You were laying on Kaminari’s chest as he was softly drawing circles on your back. The TV was playing in the background but you could only acknowledge the fact that it was making noise. How could you focus on anything right now? Let alone the TV. Kaminari’s heart was beating steadily, his breaths making his chest slowly rise and fall. His soft hums whenever something interesting would happen in the show you were supposed to be watching. The circling symbols being imprinted in your skin by his soft fingers, leaving a tingling sensation. The scent of his shampoo mixed with his cologne, the one that you had picked out for him. All of your senses were fullfilled, so why focus on the TV? Why focus on the TV when you could be focusing on him? You felt so utterly, incandesently, happy. “Y/N?”, his voice brought you out of your trance, “Are you tired, baby? Do you wanna go to bed?” “I’m fine...”, you said with a yawn, “... I’m comfortable here.” “I bet you’d be more comfortable in bed though.”, Kaminari responded. “Maybe, but I have no plans on moving right now.”, you admitted, “What? Are you getting tired?” “Not really... but we still gotta go to work tomorrow.”, he said, “You know what? I’ll just carry you to bed.” He clicked on the remote to turn the TV off and before you knew it, or could protest, you were lifted up in his arms. Kaminari carried you to the bedroom and gently put you down on the bed. You crawled under the covers and waited for him to do the same, once he had you wrapped your arms around him again. “Goodnight, baby.”, he kissed your forehead, “You did so well today.”

Shinso in a Box (Shinso x Reader)
prompt: Shinso thinks outside the box with the help, and push, of his three friends.
warnings: fluff
“C’mon bro!” Denki kept tugging on Shinso’s arm. “It’s only for a few hours and I’m pretty sure (Y/N) will be shocked.”
Shinso wasn’t exactly sure how this topic came to be. It all started with a small video Denki, Kiri, and Mina decided to try it out. They had already gone out of their way and bought a gigantic box and a long ribbon as well. All that was left now was the consent from the indigo haired boy.
“Why drag (Y/N) into this?” Shinso complained as he fixed up the binding gear on his desk. It still boggled his mind why they were inside his room. He was sitting on his chair while the others on the floor. The cardboard box on one corner.
“You like her don’t you?” Kiri asked. Denki and Mina lean in closer towards Shinso to hear his answer.
“You’re just wasting your time.” He answered instantly. His hands are busy rolling the binds. Yet, inside, he was trying his best not to let his feelings show. They were right. If given the chance, he would always steal glances at you.
He still remembers the first time he saw you. It was his first day in UA. You were walking in front of him and because of your clumsiness, you ended up tripping. Not sure what made him do it, he ran towards you and helped pick up the items you had dropped.
The moment he locked eyes with you, he felt his heart skip a beat. Something he thought he would never feel. Especially on his first day here at school. He just couldn’t help it. The way your hair danced softly with the wind, the slight tint of pink on your cheek, and the small smile given to him after all was well. It was all too much but just enough at the same time.
Offering to walk you to your classroom, he already had a bad feeling lingering in his head. He was right when you mentioned your room was in 1-A. He couldn’t help but feel embarrassed that he was in General Education 1-C. After that, he rarely saw you.
During lunch, he was happy enough if he caught a glimpse of you talking with your friends. He always told himself to not stare too long. Yet at times, you would manage to catch his eye and give him a small smile, that was enough to get him through the week and to work harder to enter the hero course.
Of course, he went by without knowing your name. He always labeled you in his mind as ‘That Girl’. Things would take a turn once the UA Sports Festival happened. Seeing how well you managed to control your quirk made his eyes widen with admiration. Or maybe it was the fact that you said ‘hi’.
When the cavalry teams were being formed, he was more than bummed when he saw that you were already with a group. Still, he had hoped you would be able to notice him during the battle. To which you did not. You were too busy calming down the angry pomeranian to even look at him.
One vs One battles were finally up next. He had no idea but you were focused on him. He had no clue that you were clenching your fists. Silently hoping that he would beat Deku and get a taste of sweet victory. He didn’t know that when his name was announced, you said his name and felt your heart flutter as well.
When it was your turn to fight, he was happy to finally have a name to your pretty face. Seeing how you managed to obtain victory with a bit of effort caused his drive to succeed even more. Surely you would notice him if he gets to the hero course. You have to.
During the Joint training, he saw what your hero costume was. You looked even better than before. There was no doubt that you designed it specifically for your quirk and also to show off each curve your body had to offer. Thank god he had his mouthpiece. He could feel his cheeks radiating heat.
“You’re here!” You walked up to him before the start of the matches. “I never told you but I love your quirk. It’s mesmerizing~”
He couldn’t think of a sentence. His brain stopped for a moment. You were standing close to him. Complimented his quirk as well. This was all too much. Panic crept in when your happiness began to falter at the loss of a reply. Before he could speak up, he was called on to the area and prepare.
“Good luck, Shinso~” You still kept at it. All he could do was bow awkwardly and earn a soft giggle from you. Hell yeah he was going to his darn best. He got a giggle and that’s enough energy for a month!
When he came back after helping Deku, the look of gratefulness in your eyes made him melt. That was the moment he knew he fucked up and fell even harder. What made his heart ache was that he had no idea whether or not you were willing to give him a chance.
Yet, there was a glimmer of hope when you jumped up and down while clapping your hands. The happiness of him passing and the possibility of you two being classmates gave him hope.
And the happiness in your eyes when he entered the 2-A classroom, damn. He could get used to this.
The two of you were deemed as oblivious between your friends. It was all too clear that you two were pinning for each other but always succumbed to shyness. Even Bakugo was pissed that Shinso couldn’t make a move.
This all led to the scene before him. Denki, Kiri, and Mina knock on his door with the absurd idea of putting him in a box and placing him outside your room.
“This is the push you need, Shinso.” Kiri continued. “You can’t deny you like her. We can all see the way you look at her. We can see how her cheeks turn red at the mere sight of you entering the room.”
Shinso didn't really mind. The only thing stopping him was fatigue. For practically the whole morning, Aizawa gave him a deadly workout routine for him to finish. His body still quietly trembled despite having taken a shower. It was either that or the fear of losing your friendship.
"What have you got to lose? If things fail, you can just say you were dared to do it." Denki offered as reassurance.
"I'm not here in the hero course to make friends. I thought I made myself clear…" Even he wanted to slap himself for how lame he sounded.
"That's crap and you know it." Mina teased. "You can be a hero and still have (Y/N) as a girlfriend ya know."
"Damn it." Shinso stood up and stretched his sore limbs. He would have no idea how many minutes he'd have to stay cramped inside the box. "Box me up."
Instantly, the three friends got to work.
----
It was now dark and you were busy reading your favorite book. It was Golden Week so you had all the time in the world to relax. (Or at least the first few days before going back to your training regimen.)
Your thoughts drifted away and landed on Shinso. Where was he anyway? He promised that he'd send a text once his training was over. 5 hours had already passed yet no notification with his name on it.
Pushing the thought aside, you tossed the book and grabbed a hold of your phone. Stretching a tiny bit to reach it on your bedside drawer. Unlocking the screen, your fingers clicked on the messaging app and tapped on Shinso's conversation bubble.
'You ok, Hitoshi?'
That's all you could type. In your head, it didn't rub off as too clingy and it felt neutral. Nodding at the message, you hit the send button and placed it back on the drawer. Your hair splayed out onto the pillow as you laid down.
Feeling your eyelids get heavy, your vision began to blur. Releasing a yawn, you decided a little bit of shut eye wouldn't hurt. The time on the clock showed an estimate of 30 minutes before dinner time. Perfect for a nap.
Before your body had a chance to fully relax, a knock on your door broke the silence. Dragging your arms as you sat up, the want to sleep became all too pleasurable but it might be important so you stood up.
Opening your door, there was no one. Glancing left and right, no tell tale sign that a person had passed by. Your eyes went down and were met with a rather large box. Did you sleep-order at 3am again? You don't remember doing such a thing.
Taking a closer look, you crouched down to the sender/receiver sticker. It definitely had your name on it. Looking at the sender's name, you furrowed your brow and tilted your head. Maybe you really did sleep-order something at Abazon.com, you just forgot.
Thankfully, the box had wheels stuck to them making things much easier for your petite frame. The box stood out in your room. It's dull brown color made it look like an outcast in your minimal monochromatic room. Closing the door, you walked towards your desk and grabbed the cutter.
Bending over the box, you poked the sharp end to create an incision. The packaging tape smoothly sliced in half. Putting the cutter on the floor, you jumped at the sudden pop from the box. A bunch of foam peanuts littered on your floor.
"What the-- Oh my god!" Your eyes widened as heat traveled to your cheeks. "Hitoshi Shinso?!"
Shinso. Sitting on the box with his long toned arms dangling lazily over the edge. A deadpan look on his face that definitely did not match the neon orange ribbon tied around his body, only to end with a badly done bow on his hair.
"Surprise." Not a hint of excitement on his face.
"What are you doing inside the box? How long were you in there? Were you able to breathe?" Bombarding him with questions caused his lips to curl into a small smile. "Who made you do this? Are you okay?"
His lavender eyes widened when he felt you cup both his cheeks. His head slowly leaning to the left then right. Your eyes scanning his face for any injuries.
"I'm fine, (Y/N)." Ruffling your hair was one thing he knew would soothe your worry. Seeing how your shoulders relaxed and how your hot breath brushed his face, he knew it worked.
"Mind telling me why you're wrapped up as a present?" Not letting go of his cheeks, your thumbs absentmindedly began to brush his skin. "I recall my birthday isn't in a few months."
Crap. What was he supposed to say? All the questions the trio rehearsed with him went down the toilet. Wing it. Heroes wing it all the time.
"I want to step outside the box."
"What's stopping you?" You couldn't help but laugh a tiny bit. "Are the foam peanuts heavy?"
Just as you were about to bring your hands down, he softly grabbed on to them. Placing them back on his cheeks. His hands were a tad clammy and slightly shaking. Is this finally it?
"I guess I wasn't clear enough…" Squeezing your hands, he swallowed his saliva in hopes of attaining courage. Locking eyes with you, he saw how there was hope and anxiety. Holding on to the former, he had found his needed push. "I want us to step outside the box."
By now your heart was now running a marathon at full speed. The medal waiting for you at the finish line. Except this time it wasn't gold but the mesmerizing colors of his violet eyes staring at you with utmost sincerity.
He always had a way with words and he probably saw it fitting for the situation.
"I like you, (Y/N)." God that felt so good for Shinso. Finally able to relay his feelings to you. Yes, he was scared shitless at your answer but he was willing to risk it. If his new found friends told him he was oblivious, then his first name be damned, he is.
Words couldn't escape your mouth. The phrase you longed to hear from him, finally became a reality. You wanted to say it back but your internal systems had now lagged due to happiness.
Instead, you pulled his face closer to you and locked your lips with his.
No denying he was stiff as a board during the first millisecond into the kiss. This action had been the farthest thing in his mind as to how you would react. When he finally processed that your lips were on his, he gladly kissed you back as he let go of your hands and buried them into your hair.
"So… You like me back?" Shinso asked as he caught his breath. His fingers slowly untangling from your hair and caressing both your pink stained cheeks.
"Of course, dummy~ I like you too, Hitoshi~"
"Then I guess being crouched up in this box for 2 hours was definitely worth it."

I got you, babe~
Warning: nsfwish, 18+
Bakusquad
Okay so you and Mina are preparing a dance for all your boys
Cause shes like 'let's do somethin sexy!!' And you're like ooh let's do a dance
So you two found a dance studio and managed to practice in there
But ofc, they gotta ruin your big plan
Cause they missed their girls and they knew you were at this studio, so they all just walked on in to tell you to hurry up so you could do something fun
And they see you two body rolling to some super sexual song
Damn suddenly you got them all hard
Looking all hot in your tight leggings that make your ass look amazing and your sports bras that fit oh so amazingly
You see them in the mirror and you and mina are like !! You're not supposed to be here get out you dummies
But too late they want you body rolling on them
Denki is the first one to react, whistling at you two as you and Mina laugh
Hanta, before it can go any further, mentions that you should probably go somewhere less... not yours so that you dont ruin anything
Wow they rush you two home so fast - you and Mina are gonna be some busy girls for the rest of the day, and hella sore tomorrow
KiriBaku
So you do dancing in your spare time, and you've been practicing for an upcoming competition
And your choreo is pretty mature - you utilizing that nice booty of yours and your waist quite often
You've been out at your studio a lot lately, and Eiji and katsu wanna bring you some food cause they're worried
And they walk in only to see you slut dropping- and they're like damn
They keep watching, you being too focused to notice them, and you're rolling your hips, grinding just a bit, and wow it looks so hot
Katsu, deciding that you're teasing was too much to handle, stomped over to you, and just as you noticed he was there you were pinned against the wall
And Eiji was running up to you too, and you saw his hard on and felt Katsus against your hip
And you're like oh wow damn
"Moving around all hot and shit- you're gonna do that in front of a bunch of people? If you want me to let you go you better be a real good girl tonight."
And Eijis just running to lock the door and make sure theres no cameras in the room before going back to you, pulling katsu so that you're away from the wall - only so that he can press himself behind you
And now you're sandwiched between these two horny bitches, and you kinda sigh like I was just practicing, but it's too late now
Luckily the floor is white so the studio owner couldnt see all the cum stains left behind

To Have A Villain’s Quirk
NINETEEN: THANK YOU
Song: Demons - Imagine Dragons
"Hey, Mina and Kai never came back after their match. You guys think they're okay?" Kaminari leaned over to Bakugo and Kirishima, watching the fight between Tokoyami and Yaoyorozu. Kirishima hummed, tilting his head a little while Jirou turned to listen in on their conversation.
"I dunno.. you guys saw Kai. Something was off about her."
"Red's a big girl, she can handle herself." Bakugo snapped at the two, arms crossed as he got comfortable, glancing at the red head. "Don't you have a match to get ready for?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm goin'." No one was going to mention the fact that Bakugo had just basically complimented the girl. "I'm just worried about her.." Jirou stood, walking past them to the aisle.
"I'll go check on them. I'll let you know how she is." The few around them nodded before she left the bleachers, leaving the rest hoping the girl was okay.
*
"Guys, I still haven't heard anything from Jirou. And the last match is over.." Denki was bouncing his leg, looking at his classmates while they exchanged glances. Midoriya wanted to be there but he was facing Todoroki next and was pulled away by Iida and Uraraka to prep for it. They reassured him that they would find out what was going on. So, everyone, excluding those three and Todoroki were on their way to find the missing three.
"Where the fuck are you all going? The second round is starting soon." Bakugo's voice boomed behind the group, him raising a brow. Kirishima stepped forward.
"Mina and Kai still haven't come back, and Jirou was supposed to message us but we haven't heard anything. Something might be wrong." The ash blond clenched his teeth as he 'tsk'ed and walked past all of them, checking all of the rooms down the hall, with the rest of them following.
*
Kyoka and Mina jumped as the door slammed open, revealing an angry Bakugo, along with the rest of the class. Ashido quickly stood, holding her hands up to them while Jirou held Hiyama's hand. A few of the class hung towards the back while Eijiro, Denki, Toru, Katsuki, and a few others started towards her. Mina pushed Bakugo back, shaking her head.
"Don't.." She said it softly, herself on the brink of tears while they looked at her with wide eyes.
"What the fuck happened, Raccoon Eyes? Why the hell is she crying?!" He started to push past her but she stayed in his way. Denki and Eijiro helped pull him back a little. "Get off me! What the hell's your deal, Red?!" She had a vacant look in her eyes as she shook, her hand gripping Kyoka's tightly. He pushed past them and grabbed the girl by the shoulders, shaking her to get her attention.
"Bakugo, just drop it. Leave her alone." The girl defended, not daring to look at any of them.
"Shut it, Ears!"
"Bakugo! Her dad just died, back off!" Mina yelled at the boy, and it made everyone stop. It was what she needed to hear. Someone to say it for it to be true. His eyes widened more as he looked at the girls glazed eyes, finally drifting down and focusing to meet his. His grip loosened while everyone else let him go, in shock themselves.
"I.." Her lip quivered as she tried to form words. She clenched her fists as she looked down, the phone in her hand starting to break. "I need t-.. I need to be alone."
"Kai.." She heard Toru's voice, her hand resting on her shoulder. "You shouldn't go through this by yourself.."
"Hagakure's right. We're you're friends. We're here for you." Jirou joined in. Bakugo still hadn't completely let her go, his teeth clenched as he searched her face.
"We're not fucking stupid, Red. Get your head out of your ass and look around you. You got a fuckin support system of a bunch of extras lookin out for you." Tears continued to fall down her face and she clenched her teeth. Only when her eyes grew black and red did he let get go, frowning as he stared at her.
"Please, Katsuki. I need to be alone." She didn't look at anyone else, but they could see it. The faint glowing.
"Tch.. fine. But a few of us will be right outside that door so you better come to us when you need us!" He stood, crossing his arms as he looked at the girl. He could see the phone slowly crumbling around the sides, him sighing as he snatched the phone. "Don't kill your phone. We need to be able to reach you somehow. I'm putting it here," He set it down on one of the tables before starting to back out of the room. "You heard her. She wants to be alone, he grabbed two of the boys and took them from the room, setting them by the door. "Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid." Denki and Eijiro nodded, exchanging worried glances with each other.
Her other classmates left the room, talking amongst themselves about the girl. The girls hung back, Jirou having not let go of her hand yet. "Are you sure, you want us to go, ribbit?"
"Y-yeah.. I just need to process it. I'll.. I'll be okay. Promise." She slowly lifted her head up to give a small smile but they could see it was forced. They were hesitant but they eventually let her go, leaving and telling the boys to message them when and if something went wrong.
Midoriya's match against Todoroki was first. She heard Mic. She wondered how he was holding up. She missed him. This ponytail was going to drive her insane. Pressure. There's too much pressure. So, she took it down. Better. She sighed, closing her eyes as she leaned against the couch, memories flooding her brain. She missed her dad. Why did he have to leave her again? Everyone leaves eventually, right? She's going to be left all alone again. Friends. Midoriya was her friend. But he has new ones. So does she. But would they stay? Will they still love her when they find out about her? Midoriya accepted her but Bakugo stayed. He helped her. But what about everyone else?
The girl had long stopped crying, dissociating from the real world until her name was called for the next match. She was facing Tokoyami. Pulling her hair back, she pulled herself to her feet, wiping at her face as she felt as if her body was numb.
'Make your dad proud, Kai.'
She shuffled across the floor and opened the door to two very worried boys, who were watching her every move. She forced herself to walk to the arena, feeling the anger slowly build up inside her. Anger at her dad for leaving her. Anger at her mom for practically saying that she could just give up. Anger at herself for thinking she was worth anything to anyone. It has always been her. So, do it for yourself if not for anyone else.
"-yami! Versus! Kaida Hiyama!" She found herself on her side of the ring, looking at the bird boy on the other side. She turned her head up just a little bit to see her class, all leaning forward and watching her.
"Begin!"
Both opponents wasted no time with coming after each other, but she could tell that Tokoyami was a little hesitant. But she couldn't be. She couldn't let her sadness stop her from moving forward. This time there were four tails protruding from her back. She shot two out to block herself against Dark Shadow while she ducked underneath it to get into close range with the other. He relied too much on Dark Shadow as a long range fighter instead of learning to get up close and personal in case the long range didn't work. Bakugo taught her that.
She sent the other two tails out to grab at him, feinting grabbing his arms with the tails before sweeping under him to knock him down. Sure, he fell, but she still had Dark Shadow to worry about. She hissed at the small pinch from her back. A quick glance told her he had bit off one of the tails, it dissolving and leaving her with three. She growled as she stared the shadow down, flipping out of the way but luckily landing a kick as she did.
Back onto her feet, she rushed them again as Tokoyami stood, stepping back. She just needed to get him to step out of bounds. She should've ate something before this, not as fast as she wanted to be, but fast enough. She didn't need to eat that much but her body was so used to it by now that her energy relied on eating every four hours now, except for when she was sleeping, to keep her strength, speed, and stamina up.
"Dammit.." Kaida analyzed the area just enough before Dark Shadow came at her, her quickly rolling out of the way. Instead of using the tails as both offense and defense, she used them to defend off Dark Shadow while getting closer to the boy. He didn't even realize where he was at. She smirked to herself, getting close enough for him to take one big step back to dodge the girls right hook, only for her to stop the fight before she got to him.
"Tokoyami is out of bounds! Hiyama is the winner!" The boy had wide eyes as he stared at her, blinking as she walked away with a small smile. It soon faded the moment she was out of the arena, making her way back to towards the changing rooms for the moment. She really needed to eat something.
She dug through her locker, confused about where her food supply could be. It was here before the finals, why wasn't it here now? 'Don't tell me.. I finished up the package I took with already..!?'
Kaida sighed in defeat as she gave up looking, twisting her pony tail around her fingers as she left the room to go back to the waiting room she was in before. She wasn't going to last in the next round, she was going to completely fail. And it was either going to be against Katsuki or Todoroki. She sighed. Both of them were so fast and she wasn't up to par now. She buried her face in her hands. At least now she knew how much food she'd probably need to carry with her on the field.
If she even got that far.
"Kai..?" There was a soft knock at the door when she heard her name, making her look up with wide eyes. The green eyed boy had a worry-filled expression on his face as he started to step closer, shutting the door.
"Izuku.. hey. What are you doing here? You should be healing by the looks of that injury." She sat up as he came to sit by her, holding his arm.
"I.. heard what happened. I'm so sorry.." She looked away before dropping her head into his shoulder. She missed her best friend.
"Yeah.. it happens.." That made him frown, laying his head on top of hers.
"That doesn't mean it should have. He didn't deserve it. And you don't deserve it either.. i-if you need to cry, I'm here for you." As encouraging as his words were, she laughed dryly.
"I've been crying, Izu. I.. I don't know what to do. I just feel lost, and betrayed. I mean. My dad is gone again, my mom basically told me to give up.. and my best friend has new friends and we hardly talk anymore. I really miss him, Izu."
"Kai.. you know I'm here for you. You can call me, text me, you can talk to me whenever."
"I know, but we've been together since middle school and we finally had the chance to make friends and be ourselves. I didn't want to take that away from you. Plus, you've been training with All Might! That's your dream!" He just laughed as he looked ahead, lost in his thoughts.
"That's true.. but you could never take it away from me, Kai. You're still my friend. And I'm still here for you. So, if you want to talk about anything from what's going on, to your next match, or just anything in general, I'm here for you." The girl gently hugged him, nearly on the brink of crying again as she sniffled, making him panic a little.
"Ah! I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you cry! I was just trying to help!" She shook her head, keeping it where it was planted.
"No, no! It's okay! It's good! You're just- you're a really good friend!" They laughed together as they say there the rest of the time in silence, Izuku eventually turning on the tournament so they could watch it together. She was definitely feeling a little better, mentally, now that she had Midoriya back by her side. This round came to an end with Katsuki winning against Kirishima.
"He never goes easy, does he?" It was more so a rhetorical question than an actual one. It made her friend chuckle. They continued watching as the bracket for the next round was revealed, her breath hitching. "Oh no.. I might as well forfeit now."
"What- why?" He started before looking at the screen, his expression faltering. "Oh.." She sat up and twisted her ponytail nervously.
"He's going to kill me."
"Kacchan won't kill you!"
"Izu, I ran out of the food I brought with to keep my strength up. He's going to kill me because I'm not up to full strength." His face paled at her words, anxiously staring at her.
"B-but I thought you could last a while without food..?"
"I can! But I've been using up so much of my stamina and strength that i have to eat more often. If I wasn't fighting and training constantly, I could live on one body for two months. But with the amount of training I do, that's basically cut in half, twice."
"O-oh."
"He's going to absolutely destroy me." They both sat in silence, trying to find a solution for the girl. Izuku sat there, tapping his fingers as he glanced between the floor and his friend. Kaida began to notice it. "Spit it out, what are you going to suggest?" He laughed nervously, clearing his throat.
"Well.. wh-what if.. um.. how much do you need? And I can give it to you before.. your fight?" She stared at him, him not meeting her wide eyes in fear.
"Are you suggesting I feed on you to raise my strength?"
"Hah.. yes?"
"Izuku! There are so many things I could say to try to make you understand why that's a bad idea. One. It will hurt. A lot. Two. If I do, and I lose, it'll be in vain. Three. I would never feed from a living body. I told you, I get my supply from the government-!"
"I know that!" She faltered, staring at him. "I know it will hurt, but it can't possibly hurt as bad as having all of your limbs broken at once. And so what if you lose? At least you were all powered up!" She started to open her mouth to retaliate but he just shook his head. "Kai, I get that it's a scary thought but what happens if you're out in the field and not strong enough. Another pro hero offers to help you like I am. Wouldn't you take it so you could defeat a villain?"
"I.."
"And you even told me that you get stronger from fresher flesh instead of packaged meat sent from who knows where! I haven't been that good of a friend to you, so let me do this, okay? Todoroki and Iida's match will be over soon, yours is next. You need to be ready!" She sighed, burying her face in her hands, grumbling about him being persistent. "But you better hurry.. Todoroki looks like he's going to win."
"..Fine.. just. It'll have to be somewhere no one will see it." He nodded, humming for a second as he used his uninjured hand to lift up the sleeve of the injured arm.
"Will this do?" She nodded and switched sides with him, staring at the spot. She was hesitating and he knew why. "Hey.. it's not gonna kill me. It's okay."
"O..okay." It took her another minute or so, and he was patient, the both of them listening to the called match between their classmates. "Ahh.. are you sure-"
"Kaida, it's okay!"
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry!" She took a deep breath and leaned down, biting into the exposed bicep. It was high enough for him to be able to hide it from everyone, but still meaty enough for her to get enough power. She heard him hiss in pain, him gripping tight onto his shoulder. She felt like garbage taking a bite out of her friend like this, but he offered.. so she shouldn't feel too bad. Right? He cleared his throat as she pulled back, his hand immediately clamping down on it to try and stop any blood from escaping.
"I-I'm sorry! I told you it would hurt! Are you okay? Was it too deep? Let me get you a bandage-!" Kaida jumped up, quickly wiping her face of any blood.
"K-Kai! It's okay! Really! Don't worry about me, you have a match in just a few minutes. I'll get this taken care of, go give it your all and show Kacchan who's boss!" She laughed and nodded, slowly backing to the door while he smiled at her. "You can do it! Good luck, Kai!"
"Thank you, Izu!"

Chapter 18
Kirishima stretched as he finished submitting the paperwork from the hostage situation he and Kaminari had helped with earlier that day. Looking at the clock, he realized it was late in the evening. His partner, Kaminari, was laid back in his own chair, dozing with his feet on his desk. Kirishima let out a big yawn as Mina Ashido cam walking around the corner.
“Hey, Eijiro!” Mina said as she walked up to his desk. “Heard you guys did an awesome job today!”
“Sure did,” Kirishima replied, “We helped catch a group of robbers that were holding a bunch of people hostage. I just finished all the paperwork.”
“I’ve been messaging Ochaco and Kyoka. We are going to meet up for a drink later. I was wondering if you and Kaminari would want to come too?” she asked.
“I’m game. Hey, Kaminari wake up!” Kirishima yelled, throwing a balled up piece of paper at his partner.
“What?” Kaminari babbled as he woke.
“You want to go out for drinks later?” Mina asked him.
“Heck yeah! I could go for a drink,” Kaminari cheered.
“Well then, we will see you guys at the usual place at 11:00 pm,” Mina said as she walked away.
“We will see you there,” Kirishima replied. Turning to his partner, he asked, “Denki, did you finish your report on the robbery today?”
“Uh, almost,” Kaminari said, rubbing the back of his head. “I wasn’t sure what all I’m supposed to fill in since we worked with Bakugou and Hales. They were the main heroes that fought against the villains. Shouldn’t they do most of the paperwork?”
“Jeez, Dude,” Kirishima sighed. “You are a pro now, you should at least try and do the paperwork.”
“Sorry, I just can’t help it! I’ve had Bakugou’s hot partner on my mind,” Kaminari said, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Not cool. You really need to treat women better. Then maybe you would be able to keep a girlfriend.” Kirishima chided.
“Hey, I can’t help it. I’m a man who appreciates a beautiful woman,” Kaminari defended himself.
“I don’t think Kia is interested in you, anyway,” Kirishima said.
“You are probably right,” Kaminari said. “Besides, I’m not the one who has a date with her.”
Kirishima blushed. “I don’t think it is that kind of date.”
“Dude, you got her number and you get to call her by her first name,” Kaminari teased.
“Yeah, but she is paying for dinner. Plus, she said it was a thank you for catching her in the stairwell,” Kirishima countered.
“Come on, Eijiro! She is easily a ten or better. You are telling me that you aren’t even going to try?” Kaminari said in disbelief.
“With how Bakugou was looking at me when I got her number, no way!” Kirishima shook his head.
“Bakugou? Wait, are you telling me he really was jealous?” Kaminari exclaimed.
“I’m not sure. I’ve never seen Bakugou interested in a girl before, so it is hard to tell,” Kirishima said, “She sure is interesting, and it seems that she works really well with him and understands his personality.”
“You think he will have any luck with a short temper and crappy personality?” Kaminari asked skeptically.
“I think she might be able to see through him. Bakugou isn’t as bad as he was in high school,” Kirishima said. “He seems to accept her as his partner. It will be interesting getting to know her.”
“Bakugou has amazing skills, smarts, and looks. It would only be fair that he has trouble getting the girl,” Kaminari whined.
“With how focused he is about becoming the number one hero, I’m pretty sure the girl is going to have trouble getting him,” Kirishima chuckled.
%%%%%
Kia made her way to the foyer after changing into her regular clothes. Bakugou had told her to meet him there. Shouldering her pack, she stepped out of the elevator. Glancing at her phone, she saw it was almost 11:00 pm. Looking up, she could see Bakugou leaning against the counter looking at his own phone. He wore baggy jeans and a t-shirt. Kia couldn’t help but admire how good he looked. His eyes were softer instead of the usual scowl he always wore.
Shaking her head to clear the thought from her mind, she walked up to her partner. “Hey, I’m ready to go.” She smiled.
Bakugou looked up at his partner as she approached. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans that hugged her hips and a tight tank top with a jacket. She was showing a lot more skin than she usually did, and he could see the end of a scar along her collarbone.
“It is about damn time,” he growled.
“Oh, please… like you have been waiting long,” Kia rolled her eyes. “Better be nice, or I might take back my offer of buying you a drink,” she smirked.
“Just hurry up,” Bakugou said as he picked up his own bag and turned to walk out the door.
Bakugou led her to a bus stop and they didn’t have to wait long before one pulled up. Bakugou stepped aside to let Kia get on first. Moving down the aisle, Kia sat in a window seat and Bakugou sat next to her.
“So, where are we going?” Kia asked.
“Just my usual place,” Bakugou said before pulling out a set of ear buds and plugging them into his phone. Kia was searching her own bag for her earbuds when Bakugou held out one of his for her. Kia looked up at him in surprise and smiled as she took the offered earbud. Putting it in, she sat back in the seat. Bakugou hit play and they both sat in silence listening to his playlist.
After about 15 minutes, Bakugou nudged Kia to let her know they had reached their stop. Getting off the bus, they walked a couple blocks before coming to a decent looking bar. Stepping forward, Bakugou opened the door and stepped aside so Kia could go in first.
She was starting to realize that despite his rough attitude and yelling, Bakugou was actually very respectful towards her. She wondered if maybe his mother had something to do with that.
She made her way to the bar, sitting on a stool as Bakugou sat in the one next to her. The bartender came straight over as they both sat down.
“Well, well… I never thought I would see the day that Bakugou brings a woman in for a drink.” the bartender teased.
“Shut up,” Bakugou snapped.
Laughing, Kia bowed her head to the bartender. “Hi, I’m Kia, his partner.”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Minoru.” The bartender bowed back, “So, what has you drinking with this hot head?” Bakugou glared at the bartender.
“It has been a long day,” Kia replied.
Minoru chuckled as he pulled a couple of glasses out from under the counter. Putting some ice in the cups, he asked, “How long of a day?”
“It’s been more like a long couple of weeks,” Kia grinned.
“Alright, then! I’ve got just the stuff,” Minoru said as he poured.
He passed them each a glass. Kia picked hers up, taking a small sniff at the glass before sipping it. The alcohol was smooth as she swallowed. “This is good. Thank you,” she said, taking another drink.
“I’m glad. Just let me know if there is anything else I can get for you,” Minoru said before moving down the bar to help another customer.
“You must come here often?” Kia asked looking over at Bakugou.
“Sometimes,” he replied, taking another drink from his glass. “Kirishima and I come here.”
“So he really is your best friend?” Kia said taking another drink.
“Yeah,” Bakugou replied.
“He seems like a really cool guy. I think a person should cherish their friends. You never know when you might lose one,” Kia added, looking solemnly at her glass.
Bakugou watched as she took another drink. He could tell there was something more behind her words. “Do you have a lot of friends back in America?” he asked.
“Yeah, and they are all really great,” Kia replied, smiling fondly, “What about you? I’ve met Kirishima and Kaminari but do you have more friends?”
“There are a few more from High School,” Bakugou admitted.
“You went to school at U.A., right? What was it like?” Kia asked. “Attending Hero High was crazy. The teachers really put us through the ringer teaching us how to be heroes.”
“I know what you mean,” Bakugou said, taking another drink.
“I hear your sports festival is really something else,” Kia said, “Hero High had something similar, but I don’t think it got nearly the ratings that U.A.’s did.”
“You had a sports festival?” Bakugou asked.
“It’s not called a sports festival, but they did hold tournaments so students could show off their skills to potential employers,” Kia explained.
“Tournaments… that sounds better than the sports festival,” Bakugou said.
“The tournaments were a lot of fun. There was even a talent competition, too. My class put on a concert once for it,” Kia recalled.
“Ours did something like that too,” Bakugou said.
“A concert, huh? Did you play or sing?” Kia asked.
“Played the drums,” Bakugou stated.
“Well, tell me about the concert. Did you guys kill it, or what?” Kia pried.
“Hell yeah, we did!” Bakugou said with pride.
He started telling her all about how he and his classmates killed the other departments with music and Kia told him about her own classes’ musical debut. Little did the two of them realize but they were being watched.

“Come on, Kaminari! We are already late,” Kirishima said.
“Hey, I just wanted to make sure that I looked good!” Kaminari replied as they made their way to the bar.
They were meeting up with Mina and some other classmates at one of their favorite bars. Kirishima walked through the door and instantly recognized Mina’s pink hair and horns. Moving over to the booth, he could see Kyoka Jiro, Ochaco Uraraka, and Izuku Midoriya were also sitting there.
“Sorry we are late guys, but Kaminari took forever to get his paperwork done,” Kirishima said as they both sat down. When no one responded, he looked up to see all four of them staring at something across the room. “What is up with all of you?” he asked.
“I never thought I would see it,” Jiro said with wide eyes.
“Never thought you would see what?” Kaminari asked confused.
“Kacchan is here...” Midoriya replied.
“With a woman!” Uraraka finished.
“What?” Kirishima said, turning around. Sure enough, he could see his best friend sitting at the bar having a drink with his new partner. They seemed to be deep in conversation. Bakugou said something they couldn’t hear that made Kia laugh. “Oh, that is his new partner.”
“Wait, his new partner?” Uraraka asked.
“Yeah, she is a total babe!” Kaminari interjected.
“We should go see if they want to join us.” Kirishima turned to walk over to them but was stopped by Mina.
“Wait a minute. I totally want to watch them for a little bit,” Mina hissed.
“Why would you do that?” Kirishima asked.
“Because it might happen again!” Mina replied.
“What might happen again?” Kirishima asked completely confused. Just then he heard a deep chuckle from across the bar. He looked over to see Bakugou laughing at something Kia was telling him.
“I didn’t know Bakugou could actually smile and laugh in a way that wasn’t… you know… Bakugou,” Uraraka said in awe.
“I haven’t heard Kacchan laugh like that since we were kids,” Midoriya added.
“You guys are being weird,” Kirishima told them. Looking back at the two, he had to admit that he had only ever seen that kind of expression on Bakugou’s face when Kia was around. “I’m gonna go invite them over,” he said, walking off.
Kia saw Kirishima as he made his way over to them. “Hey, Eijiro! What brings you here?” Kia asked.
“I actually met some of our friends here for a drink. I came over to invite you two to sit with us,” Kirishima explained.
“Sure, why not?” Kia replied. Standing up, she grabbed Bakugou’s hand and followed Kirishima to the booth while dragging her reluctant partner the whole way.
When they got to the booth Kirishima introduced everyone. “Hey, guys! This is Kia Hales, she is Bakugou’s new partner. You’ve met Kaminari, and next to him are Jiro, Uraraka, Midoriya, and Mina,” he explained as he sat down next to Mina.
“It is nice to meet you all,” Kia said.
Bakugou sat down next to Kirishima on one end of the long U shaped booth. He figured Kia would sit at the other end where there was more room, so he was surprised when she sat down right next to him.
“You all can call me Kia if you want,” Kia said. “What are your names again?”
“I’m Ochaco Uraraka, and my hero name is Uravity,” Uraraka replied.
“I’m Izuku Midoriya, but you can call me Deku,” Midoriya smiled.
“I’m Kyoka Jiro, and they call me Earphone Jack,” Jiro replied.
“And I’m Mina Ashido! They can me Pinky!” Mina bubbled.
“My hero name is Wildside. How do you all know each other?” Kia asked.
“We are classmates. We went to U.A. together.” Kirishima told her.
“So, that is how you all know B?” Kia inquired.
“Well, Kacchan and I grew up in the same neighborhood, so we have known each other since we were kids,” Midoriya clarified.
“Kacchan? Why do you call him that?” Kia asked.
“Adding chan to someone’s name is one way to show familiarity. It is common for childhood friends to call each other something like that,” Mina explained.
“Kinda like how you call Bakugou B, which is short for his last name, right?” Uraraka asked.
“Well, not a first,” Kia laughed.
“Why do you call him B, then?” Jiro asked.
“He told me I couldn’t call him butthead so I figured I would shorten it to B,” Kia replied, taking a drink from her glass.
Bakugou, who had been taking a drink of his own, almost spit a mouthful all over the table. “What the hell!” he yelled.
“Relax, B, of course it is short for Bakugou now… depending on how big of an ass you are being, anyway.” Kia shrugged. The others at the table burst out laughing at Kia’s confession and Bakugou’s rage. “Besides, you call me Sunshine and I know you aren’t meaning it as a complement,” she continued.
“I don’t mean it as an insult,” Bakugou grumbled.
“Well, if you want, I could call you Kacchan or something,” Kia offered.
“Hell no, it is bad enough that fucking Deku says it!” Bakugou snapped.
“So, you call Midoriya Deku… does that mean you to were close childhood friends?” Kia asked.
“Actually, Deku is what Kacchan called me to make fun of me,” Midoriya replied, rubbing the back of his head. “But it ended up being my hero name, so I like it.”
“You were a bully?” Kia turned to her partner. “You know, I don’t think I’m surprised, honestly.”
“Go to hell!” Bakugou crossed his arms. The other six sat there watching the two of them bicker back and forth.
“So, Kia, how do you like Japan?” Uraraka interrupted.
“So far, so good! I’ve been so busy working that I haven’t really got to explore much,” Kia admitted.
“We should all go out and show you around sometime!” Mina said excitedly.
“Sounds like fun!” Kia replied. “I would really like to see some of the festivals you have over here. One day, I hope I can travel around and see more.”
Bakugou sat there listening to them all discuss when they would have time to make a road trip. Looking up at the clock, he realized it was starting to get pretty late. He nudged Kia to get her attention, “We should be heading out. We still have to be at the agency in the morning,” he said.
“We need to get going too,” Midoriya said, looking at Uraraka.
Everyone got up and started making their way over to pay for their drinks before heading out. Kirishima put a hand on Bakugou’s shoulder, stopping him and whispering something to him. Kia was standing at the bar talking to Mina. She turned to pay for her and Bakugou’s drinks, but he had already laid money down.
“Hey, I told you I would buy,” Kia reminded him.
Bakugou grumbled something that sounded a lot like a real man would pay for the drinks. Kia snickered as she followed everyone out of the bar. They all said their goodbyes and headed off into the darkness. Bakugou and Kia walked back to the bus stop where they had gotten off. Hopping on the next bus, they made their way back to the agency.
When the bus dropped them off, Kia told Bakugou goodnight and headed in the direction of the hotel she was staying at. Bakugou fell into step right next to her as they made their way down the street.
“Do you live this way?” Kia asked.
“No,” Bakugou replied.
“Then why are you following me?” she asked.
“You shouldn’t walk back on your own in the dark,” he replied.
“You do remember I’m a hero too? Anyone who tried to mug me would be in for a surprise,” Kia pointed out.
“Kirishima told me I should walk you back,” Bakugou grumbled.
“Alright, it isn’t too far.” Kia rolled her eyes. They walked in silence for a couple of blocks before Kia spoke up. “They all seem to be really good friends,” She said.
“Yeah,” Bakugou replied.
“I meant good friends for you,” Kia clarified.
“Tch, shut up.” Bakugou stomped forward.
Laughing to herself, Kia followed after him. All of the a sudden, something jumped out of the shadows at her. Kia was surprised since she hadn’t even sensed anyone nearby. The figure grabbed her hand and held it behind her back while pressing a blade to her throat. “You have to be kidding me,” Kia said in disbelief.
“Just hand over your money, and this pretty little bitch won’t get hurt,” the mugger demanded.
“Dude, your night is just about to go to hell,” Kia warned as her scales started to cover her skin.
“What are you…?” The mugger started only to be cut short by Bakugou’s fist.
Cracking his knuckles, Bakugou stood next to Kia, sneering at the mugger on the ground. “And now you die,” he said. Walking forward, he grabbed the mugger by the collar and lifted him up to see that the man was already knocked out cold. “What the hell? Is that all this loser’s got?” he said, dropping him and standing up.
Kia walked up next to him, handing him a pair of cuffs. When Bakugou turned to take them from her, she leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek.
“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!” Bakugou sputtered in surprise.
“A thanks for being my hero,” Kia replied dramatically, “It doesn’t happen very often that someone saves me for a change,” she laughed.
Bakugou bent over to cuff the mugger and to hide the blush on his cheeks. His heart was thundering so loud he swore Kia could hear it. Shaking off the feeling, he stood up and threw the mugger over his shoulder.
“Want me to walk with you to the police station?” Kia asked.
“No, I’ve got it,” Bakugou replied.
“Alright then, thanks for walking me this far. I will see you in the morning and I promise to bring coffee. Goodnight, B,” she said as she headed for her hotel once again.
“Goodnight,” Bakugou replied quietly. He watched as she walked away, still confused as to what his new partner was doing to his head and his heart.
