im so cooked, half of the popular yuri I see praised and recommended are manga that I thought was mid or boring, is this a red flag orr
#this was spurred by the fact that I tried reading doughnuts under a crescent moon the other day and thought it was fine#nothing wrong with it. it was just okay. but i ended up dropping it just because I didn't feel invested enough in the characters to continu#now I'm reading she loves to cook she loves to eat#and it's marginally better. I like the characters and all but the story feels a bit boring.#ik it's a slice of life but idk I was kinda hoping for more interesting elements or internal conflicts or SOMETHING#I like the characters but not enough to the point where I can watch their domestic life with no conflicts and be content#and both of the manga are super praised and highly rated so I'm like fuck is my taste just shit?#shes a ten but she can't hold her attention for fluffy yuri to save her life#๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
