A Mother’s Love

Elisa knelt down by the fire in her home, and drove a long piece of metal into its heart. She knew she would only have one chance at this, and that she would need to be fast, faster than she had ever been. As she wrapped a length of rope around her arm, she focused on the only thing in this world that mattered to her;  the man she loved , and her two sons. She pulled the rope tight around her arm, so tight that the skin was already starting to bruise. She grabbed her knife and placed a piece of wood wrapped in leather in her mouth. She took a deep breath  to steel herself. It was now or never.

Stefan ran through the village as the rain was starting to come down. The village council had branded Elisa with a magic rune that would keep her inside the village, and allow them to track her vitals. Not even a few minutes ago, the rune alerted them that Elisa was in a tremendous amount of pain, and Stefan was quickly dispatched to aid her. When he kicked open the door to her home, he was greeted with a gruesome sight; her arm lay on the floor in a pool of blood, next to a piece of metal that was still glowing with heat.

The rain was coming down in full force now, as Elisa climbed to the top of a grassy hill. A simple task, but made much more difficult with her new handicap. Her left arm, now a stump, was wrapped in a bloody cloth. And in her right hand, she gripped her knife so hard, her knuckles had turned white. She would see her boys again, and nothing on this earth was going to get in her way.

This is making me want to change the whole Euphoria story just to see them all together as a happy G/t family thanks to her sacrifice, but there’s always space for one more AU!
