Keep in mind I am very tired rn so this will likely be very unpolished okay here we go–

The order of age goes Victim Chosen Dark Orange, we all know this, but I think for a long time Dark thought he and Chosen were a lot closer in age than they actually were. Chosen had to warm up to telling Dark about all the horrible things he went through, and that included the fact that he was alone for four years. (it's four years right? it might be five. I can't be bothered to look it up rn, its fine)

In between the Showdown and Wanted Orange is starting to think of Chosen as an older brother. He connected the dots to figure out that Chosen was also made by Alan and he saved them! He's so cool! This idea was only a little bit shattered when this older brother figure barged into the PC and kidnapped him and promptly got them both captured. But honestly what are older siblings for.

In canon Chosen does not let himself feel emotions enough for him to see Orange as a little brother, but the connection is there. He'll come around :)

SPEAKING OF CONNECTIONS– I recently had this idea that the Hollowheads had some sort of empathy-telepathy with each other. For example, one normal day out in the Outernet Chosen feels the exact moment Orange was created. He doesn't know what that feeling meant, and he never felt it again. Orange felt drawn to this new stick figure who saved their lives, and immediately follows him through the portal. Chosen felt something snap in his chest the moment Dark died. Orange and Victim lock eyes for a moment in the Box and feel something click. None of them talk about it, but it's there.

(that last one might qualify as an AU, who knows maybe I'll do something with it)

This one is more of a wish than a headcanon– Chosen takes Orange under his wing at some point, teaching him how to use his powers as best he can. However, since Orange's powers are rather different from Chosen's, it just results in a chaotic sparring session and setting a field on fire. The CG are not amused by the amount of bruises Orange gets, but Orange is having an absolute blast.

Orange is Chosen's "Second Coming"– surely that comes with consequences. I saw a hc where they shared portions of code and I liked that; something like Orange and Chosen have similar tastes in foods. Their eyes shine the same way when they smile. Sometimes they accidentally speak in unison because they each had the exact same thought. When stuff gets serious, they both narrow their eyes and make an expression that promises pain on their enemies.

Dark would be the best big brother and let me tell you why. Orange is often left with the Braincell of the CG. Have you seen how stressed this boy gets. He gets premonitions of his friends getting hurt. Dark allows him to mess around a bit more, in a "We might get in trouble, isn't that fun!!" kind of way. Orange has always had a chaotic streak, it just takes certain circumstances for him to tap into it. They would be able to get Red back for his pranking.

Orange would teach Chosen and Dark all about modern video games. They know video games, sure, they destroyed Angry Birds. But I think playing Minecraft would solve both of their problems. At least a lot of them.

I don't have many headcanons for Victim, I just haven't seen enough of him to get a solid enough foundation to make headcanons, but as an oldest child I can relate to him on a spiritual level. He may be gray now but with those three as younger siblings he's gonna get a whole lot grayer.

Gosh I love them so much, a house with all four Hollowheads would be the most chaotic house ever. Victim– the eldest with an actual job, no nonsense, the less-than-respected Holder of the Braincell. Since he is out of the house a lot because of Job, the responsibility falls to Chosen– older middle child, delinquent, failure of a cook and the only one Dark will listen to. Speaking of Dark– younger middle child, Chaos Incarnate, fellow delinquent and Escape Artist Extraordinaire, he is a terrible influence on the youngest– Orange. Orange is the black sheep of the family in that he is actually rather emotionally stable. He's in school, has friends, hobbies– his brothers just a bit jealous but supportive anyway. He also helps Dark prank the others; he's got great aim with water balloon catapults.

I cannot impress upon you enough how much they love each other. Their lives have been filled with isolation, suffering, rejection– but now they've found family in likewise people. None of them are alone anymore. Sure, Orange wasn't really alone to begin with, but surely he noticed how different he was from RYGB. He's not replacing them, not for a million dollars, but it is nice to have brothers who are similar to you.

I know that a lot of people are stuck at home right now in dire need of entertainment, so I decided I’d put out a book recommendations list of all the books I’m currently reading and all of my must-reads!

(Just a note that a lot of these are Fantasy because I’m a fantasy nerd haha)

Books/Series I am currently reading

1. The Folk of the Air Trilogy by Holly Black (Currently on #2, The Wicked King)

Genre: High Fantasy

Setting: The land of Faerie which is kind of historical, but in the human world it is modern day

Main cast :

Jude Duarte (white, human, cutthroat, if I saw her in a Denny’s Parking Lot at 3am I would RUN)

Cardan Greenbriar (white, faerie, the true embodiment of Bastard)

Vivienne (Jude’s half-sister, lesbian with canon gf, half-human half-faerie, I would totally try to be her friend)

Taryn Duarte (Jude’s twin sister, queen doormat, still, I would take a bullet for her she’s jUST TRYING TO FIT IN)

These books have been on my “To Read” list for so long now and for some reason I just never got around to reading them! Hands-down, these are some of the best high fantasy books that I’ve read in a long, long while.

I finished the first book, The Cruel Prince, in just two days and rated it 5/5 stars! Even though these books are high fantasy and focus on the traditions and ways of life of faeries, somehow all of the characters seem like I could meet them in real life!

The main character actually has genuine flaws and not just “””“flaws”””” and is a Bad Bitch down with murder, and the plot had me on the edge of my seat from page one!

The summary makes it sound like it’s going to be about their romance, but it’s really mostly about a power struggle and Jude being a badass.

Setting: The fictional town of Henrietta, Virginia

I haven’t gotten around to much of the book, so there’s not much I can tell you about the characters and I can’t properly give it a rating yet.

These books were also on my “To Read” list for a while; I was a huge fan of her book The Scorpio Races and have also been looking for something to quench my thirst for “private school/ghosts/magic” that I’ve been dealing with ever since I read The Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo.

I’ve only JUST started The Raven Cycle yesterday, but so far I am hooked! I’m super worried because I’m TERRIBLE at juggling two series at a time but both of these are just so interesting!

MY MUST-READ BOOK LIST

1. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

Genre: Historical Fiction

Setting: 1700s Europe (England, Paris, Barcelona, Marseilles, Venice)

Main cast (I’ll try my best not to spoil anything because you find out a LOT of different stuff about these characters throughout the book):

Henry “Monty” Montague (white, bi/pansexual, attitude problem)

Percy Newton (mixed race, gay, very sweet boy, definitely got “most likely to bring home to mom” in the yearbook)

Felicity Montague (white, Monty’s little sister, headcanoned as asexual, I love her to death)

Rating: 5/5 Stars

Daring adventure, gay representation, historical setting, hilarious characters!

This book literally has it all! I would consider it one of my favorite books of all time, yet for some reason I’ve never gotten around to reading any of the sequel books! The ending is very satisfying and ties everything together, which I feel is part of the reason why I haven’t gotten around to them yet. 

Therefore, it can serve as a one-shot read or a full series if you want to dive into something good!

The humor made me laugh out loud at points and all of the characters are very real and very, very relatable, not to mention the vivid settings of 1700s Europe!

Daniel Arlington “Darlington” (white, rich, an angel who can sometimes be a dick)

Pamela Dawes (tbh I honestly don’t remember what she looks like, only that she’s a tired grad student with big nerd energy)

Detective Alan Turner (Black, takes shit from nobody, husband material)

Rating: 4/5 Stars

(NOTE: THIS IS VERY DARK ADULT FICTION AND CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT MAY BE TRIGGERING FOR SOME PEOPLE, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR PEOPLE UNDER 16)

This book is a great read for someone who’s looking for a disturbing, gritty book with layers upon layers of secrets that you have to peel away as the mystery unfolds. I love the secret societies and the intricate magic systems that the book introduces, and it actually made me hungry for more books like it!

 Alex is a three-dimensional, very real character who also serves as an unreliable narrator who witholds or warps the information that she’s telling you, making the narrative all the more riveting.

The only issues that I have with it are the fact that Leigh Bardugo kind of just dumps you in the middle of it without explaining stuff first, to the point where it kind of feels like you’re reading the second installment of a series rather than the first one, so things can get a bit confusing at first.

The book also can drag and draw things out for a bit too long, but once the plot fully kicks into gear, you will not be able to put it down!

Kaito “Kai” (Chinese, based on Prince Charming, kind of has to run a whole country, a very kind soul, deserves a nap)

Carswell Thorne (White, based off of Rapunzel’s Prince, bastard)

Winter Hayle (Black, based off of Snow White, royalty, has super special powers)

Wolf (Race unspecified, based off of the Big Bad Wolf, charming killing machine, furry????)

I haven’t read them in so long, but I remember how much joy I felt while devouring these pages. Definitely something you will not able to put down!

Achilles (Greek, gay, very strong, student athlete energy)

Brisies (Anatolian, clever, literally the only one in this story who has a brain cell)

Rating: 100000/5 stars

This is basically the Iliad but if historians hadn’t completely erased Patroclus and Achilles’ relationship. “Haha yeah these guys were totally bros” they say, even though I have read the Iliad and their relationship isn’t even subtle.

This book made me cry at least ten times. It’s just so beautifully written and has such a distinct vibe to it that whenever I crack it open for another time, it takes me straight back to the vacation that I read it on. (Needless to say, sobbing your eyes out can be less than helpful when you’re on the beach)

If you can only read one book on this list, it should be this one. I could talk all day about it and write novels on just how much of an incredible writer Madeline Miller is, but I feel like you’d get my drift a bit better if you actually read the book.

Do you have any Cooper/Kevin or Argit/Kevin/Gwen headcanons you feel like sharing??? Pwease? 🥺 You write the ben 10 characters so well!

Gods, I haven’t touched Cooper/Kevin in ages. Moved on to Cooper/Elena and now am solidly in the Cooper/Alan camp. But Argit/Kevin/Gwen I can actually do! I have played with that shit!

Okay, starting out- as far as I’m concerned- for shit like this- Kevin and Argit were dating pre-AF. Part of the reason there’s such a profound difference between Argit’s behavior in the Rooters arc and his behavior pre-Rooters arc (don’t know what the fuck was going on with Color of Monkey, where he suddenly went from ‘has done a 6/10 on the evil scale at most’ to ‘9/10 on the evil scale’ despite the character development up until then) is because Servantis did muck around with that shit prior to dropping the Amalgams and Argit on Earth. Argit specifically because the entire plan was for Kevin to get close to the Tennysons via Gwen and eventually snap and kill Ben while his guard was down- having him not only dating somebody else but also have a best friend to turn to for support would’ve put both those at risk while having a supposed friend constantly backstabbing him would just wear on his mental health.

As you can guess, this means that things are very awkward post-Rooters arc. Gwen and Kevin are in a relationship that was originally started on a lie, Kevin and Argit had a relationship that was taken from them for some dickwaffle’s selfish and evil ambitions, and as tempting as it is for Gwen and Argit to want to be pissed off at each other (easy for Argit to feel like Gwen stole his man but also easy for Gwen to feel like Argit is trying to steal hers) the truth is that the situation is none of their faults, and it’s just, shit that’s going to have to be worked out like adults. There’s a lot of fighting, a lot of arguing, contracts are drawn up, there’s at least one suggestion to just cut Kevin in half and give each of them 50%, it’s a whole dramatic deal that Kevin spends as far away as possible because he is not stupid enough to get between them. That is no-man’s-land.

The two of them never end up hunky-dory best buddies, got too many things they don’t agree on, too many of the wrong things in common (at one point they start passive-aggressiving at each other and it only ends because Kevin literally threatens to go win Looma back). At best they hit ‘vitrolic best buds’. But they keep each other on their toes, call each other out when nobody else will, and are unstoppable when you get them working together.

Also just, the image of the three of them sharing a bed. Especially since it’s implied Kevin tends to work til he drops so really it’s normally more Gwen and Argit on opposite sides of a Kevin-sized space in the middle of the bed, each pretending the other isn’t there.

Honestly in these mostly Kevin gets to sit back and take the more peaceful support position. Let Gwen and Argit worry about shit, he’s been waiting his entire lifetime for a chance to just, be, and now he can. Again, between the two of them they are unstoppable so if he says he wants to just retire and focus on machines and art then he can- wait for it- do that. Because if Gwen questions it Argit’ll debate her until she comes around and then together they will shame down anyone who dares to tut about him.

Is just, very good for his mental health to have both the people he loves the most and have them having his back (even more than before now that they’ve got each other to keep them in line) and he just loves them so damn much and is a complete sap (to the shock of no one Mr. My Girl Broke Her Leg So I Made Her Soup, he’s a loser). He stays home, works on machines and poetry and such, tends house cooks food. People are always surprised to hear it but simple domesticity and calm is something he never got to experience during his child and teen years and so he embraces it fully. Add on that Argit also never got anything like it, and that Gwen’s used to still having to be rushing about even at home always being pushed to do more be better, and it just works for them that Kevin stakes out their home as his own little piece of calm and tranquility and allows them the respite of it.

Of course this means there’s at least one occasion of someone thinking this makes Kevin an easy target and being quickly reminded that he’s Kevin-fucking-11 (and eventually Kevin 11-fucking-K) and while Gwen may be the most powerful fucker on the planet he is by far the most dangerous.

They end up living in the middle of nowhere, mostly because Kevin and Argit have been planning to live out where nobody could bother them since Argit was still in a cage and they outvoted her.

Does Kevin marry either of them? Both of them? Eventually bring in and marry a third party? I don’t know. I also don’t know from kids for this lot because while Argit I’m sure is resigned to the idea that they are inevitable with Kevin’s history (“You’ll get knocked up or knock yourself up or something, known that since I was 14”) and Gwen I can picture wanting them but not enough to actually pursue having them, as has been mentioned before in my friend group Kevin either has no kids or 5+ kids, there is no middleground.

Look at him, he either has no kids or adopts every street orphan he finds and honestly nobody could stop him.

If kids happen though, they do eventually turn out okay. At least, they turn out better than Kevin and Argit did and honestly that is the baseline.
