okay so some of these were written before s4 aired so they’re safe if not strictly canon compliant and others were written after but if they have any s4 references they’re indirect ones that shouldn’t really spoil you for anything

fifteen men in september has to come first it’s the first black sails fic I remember reading and imo it’s one of the best fics to read when you’re just getting into the fandom, it’s also one of the longest I have bookmarked

this series is by the same author and it’s an au where flint meets silver ten years earlier when he and miranda first came to nassau. best miranda I’ve read yet

this was the first fic in the jewish silver tag on ao3 and it was the result of conversations about what would happen if the way flint learns that information is by getting silver’s pants off and seeing that he’s circumcised (although this one is slightly more in s4 spoiler territory… tread carefully)

oh my god while looking for the previous fic I found this one that I’d almost forgotten about and it’s basically just a pillow talk scene of them being soft and Them so yeah absolutely

I ALSO JUST REMEMBERED this one which is entirely smut free and it’s the walrus crew staging a play as an entertaining distraction early on when they’re stranded in the doldrums (three guesses who the subjects of the play are)
