I can't think of much ideas other than the situation that Azul does something similar to what happened in book three so now they are punished by not getting cuddles the most decent option is to actually put your foot down and keep the punishment even if your boyfriends cry out about how "working at the lounge was so exhausting! Please spare some cuddles for these three poor fishies!!" and even if some of your friends call you out (Jack for Jade, Ace for Floyd +Jamil, Azul for literally anyone?) because they are causing trouble:

Jade keeps following around Jack to ask him questions about beastfolks (I think this happened in the playful land event Jade wanted to make Jack wear silly clothes) he is willing to drag anyone you know into hearing his fully dramatized history of your harsh punishment and it comes with the incredible acting skills of Jade Leech!!

Floyd isn't even trying to even walk to every other activity he does it looks like he does it against his own will (on classes, on club activities) and that's why Ace told you about the latest club practice where Floyd just stayed face first on the gymnasium floor? Please prefect Jamil is about to invent new seafood dishes from how much annoyed he is with this "squiggly, slimy bastard eel"

Speaking of slimy eels... Epel called you because he discovered the whole reason why Vil has been more snappy than usual is Azul not being able to provide his moisturizer because "My workers and myself are in a heavy emotional break, I am afraid that we will be canceling production until stated otherwise.." he genuinely made a little domino line that ends connecting to you and your personal friends?

Of course that's the more decent option of you still going along with the punishment I am saying decent because the other option is to give up and get teased by the tweels and getting your time and affection fully capitalized by your octo darling

After the punishment is over (if you actually have decency and choose the first option) surprisingly when the three immediately drag you to the usual cuddle session everything is planned to fit each of your likings the series you three been watching/a movie playing in the tv, tasty snacks and a thing similar to a pillow fort/a nest? Filled with soft blankets and couches for the best of the best cuddle sections and after this everything will go back to its regular flow!!

They are a delightful package deal, tbh. But they guilt you for your affections so often, it's a miracle that you haven't wrung their necks yet.

They indeed make it everyone else's problem when you decide to ban them from any form of affection other than quick cheek kisses and handholding. But it's 10 times worse when only one or two of them are banned, but the others aren't.

Floyd gets in trouble with you a lot because he tends to bite into you a bit harder than he should, leaving deep marks. It's not the marking itself that's the issue, you'll admit, but it's the fact that he'll leave them in visible areas like your forearms, neck, collar, and even your ankles. All spots that others will see and ask, “Wtf, you good bro??” Sometimes he'll do the same to Azul, who will do the same and ban Floyd from touching him in any form. It wouldn't be as bad if Jade didn't rub it in his face, coming up to hug you from behind, leaning in close to brush his lips against Azul's ear to whisper something, all things that Floyd can't do! It leaves Floyd incredibly annoyed, sometimes angry, and every so often devastated that he can't hold his mates. If the latter occurs, he's coming after you. A weak thing to his tears, Azul has had years to build up resilience and hold firm, but you are weak to a whiny, teary-eyed Floyd who is begging for a kiss and cuddle. It's not faaaaair, Jade's been rubbing it in his face all day, and he loves you both so much, but Azul's not budging and if he can't even hold his shrimp, he doesn't even know what he'll dooooooooo! The day ends with Floyd and you in bed, his arms tightly wrapped around your middle and legs tangled in yours as he blissfully naps. Azul's annoyed that you caved in, but Jade's amused and tries to push Azul into joining the cuddle pile with him.

Now, if Jade's the one that being iced out for something, he'll actually return the favor tenfold. He's just an innocent little guy, what do you mean he can't just secretly feed you two an aphrodisiac mushroom? You had lots of fun afterward, even Floyd agrees (he does, but his firm moral stance on mushrooms doesn't). But Azul's pissed that he was used as a test subject again, and you had to call Ace and Deuce to watch Grim as an emergency. Again. So when you both ban him to only quick smooches and side hugs, Jade returns the energy. He's refusing any form of affection, and not giving them to you. Unlike Floyd, who's begging harassing you for cuddles, he's going to make you two come beg for him. After a few days of no Jade, you're both missing him, it's surprisingly Azul who reaches out first when Jade comes to deliver some paperwork for the dorm. The octomer had leaned in to give him a kiss, when Jade stepped away with a sly smile and told him, “Oh, but I thought you weren't giving me your affections? Let's not go back on our word now, Azul.” Jade is a tad bit nicer to you—taking after Floyd—to guilt you into loving on him again. But Azul? He's gonna make him suffer, simply because he enjoys making him squirm. It's honestly a sight to see, as neither are willing to back down. At least until the two of them fall asleep in Azul's office after working a late night, curled into each other's sides on the couch.

Azul probably has it the worst, as he has both twins teasing him. Floyd and Jade are flaunting you around him, being extra handsy. They're cooing at him, whining about how they can't cuddle both of you at the same time since he was dumb enough to piss you off. How could he do this to them? Such a mean, mean Azul! By far, though, you're the weakest to Azul's charms and silver tongue when compared to the twins. Maybe it's due to the knowledge of Azul's childhood, or maybe it's just because he's extra cute, but you can't find yourself away from him for more than a day. He sniffles, murmurs something about missing your embrace, and you're rushing into his arms, kissing away his tears. The twins get incredibly annoyed that you're so quick to let Azul back into your arms, while they have to wait at least a week sometimes. But then you're both reaching out arms and cooing at them to come to bed, batting your eyes, and all complaints are out the window.

I love them they make for a wonderful polycule. After all, they're a package deal, no matter how much they might say they're not.

I have some questions

Oh wait that's not a question, that's a statement. Lol nvmind.

And how would Azi even get him back out? Stop blaming her for what the heaven/hell apparatus is doing to Crowley and to her. (Y'know what, I'm gonna be referring to Azi as "she/her" in this post, because we all deserve more of that. So deal with it.) Do you think she hasn't been racking her brains trying to think of a way to save Crowley ever since the Fall, and even before that?

Also - If Aziraphale went to hell and got stuck there, she'd probably be forced to torture people and that's not cool. (She probably wouldn't get a job on earth like Crowley.) Whereas there is no evidence whatsoever that Aziraphale has to actively do harm as part of her current role on earth. There are very good reasons Crowley doesn't want her to go to hell / become a demon / whatever. He doesn't want Aziraphale to suffer the same moral injury that he has.

Also also - Aziraphale mouths "Crowley" instead of screaming it because she knows it'll only get them both in more trouble if heaven/hell finds out they have an acquaintanceship, let alone that they care about each other. As an ab*se survivor, it's one of the most painful moments in the series for me, seeing Aziraphale distraught and having to hide it.

Azi mouthing "Crowley" while frantically trying to keep a straight face is the equivalent of Charles immediately trying to run after Edwin. It's arguably even more loving, I'd say. Aziraphale loves Crowley so much that she saw her worst nightmare come true (or rather, didn't see it? you know what I mean lol) and still managed to keep her "We don't know each other" mask more or less intact. Utterly devastating. This was the ultimate test of her love for Crowley, and she passed it.

*** Side note: If Aziraphale behaved the way fans want to demand she behave, hell would have killed Crowley so many times already lmao. And then of course the fans would be blaming her for that instead. << Babygirl can't win. She's damned (ha) if she does and damned if she doesn't. ***

But even if we didn't have that glimpse of her face at that moment... FUCK thinking Aziraphale wasn't worried about Crowley then. There is literally NO reason to assume she wasn't upset about seeing him dragged to hell to presumably be killed. (And yes, Azi knew hell was ab*sive and violent to Crowley, even back then. I'd argue she's known since NLT Uz. After all, she knows Crowley didn't "kill" the goats and the kids because he wanted to. She knows it was because hell made him do it.)

Also also also: She literally did go to hell to save Crowley, later on?

And wtf is wrong with what she wrote in her diary? "That was the last I was to see of Crowley for some time" is (so far as we know) a factual statement. She's writing about an upsetting experience. Journaling is a healthy coping technique. But apparently that's bad now lmao. (Not to mention there were so many things about that diary entry that were so blatantly weird that it's clear we can't take anything about Aziraphale's journals at face value anyway. But I guess we're just ignoring that.)

Ooogh got back from the theater <3 gonna start off: LOVED the movie. Had a lot of fun. That is to say... I don't.... really...think it was good. It was not. (I'm sorry) But I highly recommend it! Felt like a direct to DVD sequel. I encourage piracy of this one. (/j for legal reasons)

- Okay. SO. not a fan of the pacing. Felt very choppy and incomplete like. RIGHT off the bat. Did not improve throughout the film, sadly. Writing and line delivery were also kinda bummer for all the characters, but those were my biggest gripes overall.

- 99 Red Balloons Green Day Cover?! Wasn't expecting that.

- Tom. Tom you KNEW that cave was there. Unless Maddie was the only one who went and got his stuff, and in that case, you BETTER have been the one cleaning out that attic.

- They are really having fun with dramatic irony in this one. Also not great callbacks to the first 2 films.

- WHY THE FUCK would you let them go with GUN???? They absolutely should have been tearing those boys from your arms wtf

- He... Shadow just. Hatched. fully grown. from a meteorite?? Disappointed but also EXTREMELY fascinated. What does this imply for Sonic? And Amy? Is it just because of the Black Arms? Is he fully Black Arms? Is he an unwitting spy for them??

I didn't watch the Knuckles series. Didn't they namedrop the Black Arms? But as another government branch or something rediculous?

- GUN is just... completely neutral in this :/ what was the point of Rockwell? She added nothing other than an unnecessary red herring. There could've been an EASY sideplot of Rouge stealing the master emerald instead. Especially with Wade watching it. EASY I TELL YOU!! WHERE IS MY GIRL????! WE WERE ROBBED!! ROBBED OF THE BEST THIEF IN THE GALAXY!

- Seriously though that Rockwell plotline went NOWHERE, WHY DID THEY DO ALL THAT???

(it seemed like they were setting her up to have been the one to commission Gerald for the Eclipse Cannon, but they just. Dropped her? after she gave Tom the key card?? Why did she want it??? Why was it relevant???)

- (paraphrasing bc my memory is Bad) "No person of any gender found me appealing" Sir your boyfriend is RIGHT THERE (obligatory WHOA HE'S BISEXUAL I DIDN'T KNOW THAT)

- Second act low point, but at least it felt sorta believable bc it felt like a legit sibling fight, and not a real falling out. They all just really love each other and want to protect each other. Knuckles you're wonderful, you have never done anything wrong ever.

- Missed opportunity for Dark Sonic. That would've been so FUCKING COOL! WHYYY???

Stray Kids Thoughts on Being an Idol

I decided to just go ahead and do this one this weekend. I was planning to do their Boyfriend reading, but I will leave that for next week. I was interested in what they wanted to share for this series of readings.

Bang Chan

What he likes? (9 of Swords) Dude what is this? Seriously why do some of them give me these cards for likes? Okay, I think I get it, he likes helping others through their pain and struggle. He may like discussing these topics of struggle, idk through music or some other outlet to fans. It is like he wants to help those who are struggling mentally. That is kind of cute honestly.

What he does not like? (Ace of Wands) This darn card keeps popping up. A lack of creative freedom, an inability to allow his creativity to grow. I kind of felt he had that though, more so than other people in the industry. There may be some creative projects or pursuits he wants to do that gets shut down.

What has he experienced/learned from the past? (6 of Pentacles rv) Unfair treatment, unfair deals, not getting paid his worth. Greedy people. Yup, that's it. I guess he understand the unfairness of it all. I am getting there is work he has done that he hasn't gotten paid for. Does he ghost write?, or got duped into doing that?, anyway, heard ghost writing, so whatever that means. This card is giving me he did work and didn't get paid for it, keeping it real with the messages I am getting. That is kinda crazy if this did happen.

Thoughts on fans? (The Hermit) I had to laugh when I saw this. Umm, he may see them as loners, but I am also getting he may think they need to work on themselves and get to know themselves more, to spend more times with themselves. I don't see this as a diss, but like he generally wants them to work on themselves in kind of a loving way.

What he likes? (Queen of Swords) I am getting rational, smart individuals. People who use their head, rather than their heart. This message is so random wtf Bright minds, no nonsense people. People who are willing to communicate. How this makes no sense. He is just saying characteristics. I swear his energy is messing with me lol, like this makes no sense. He's just throwing out words, but why is this a like for him. This is what you like most!?, maybe he is tired of dramatic people in the industry, whining, crying, maybe that is what he is trying to say. People who are logical and keep their cool is what he likes. Okay, weird like to mention.

What he does not like? (Ace of Swords) This is weird, people who don't formulate a plan. People who have ideas, but don't fall through on it fully. So, maybe higher ups in the company bring up an idea, but eventually don't fall through on this, and this may piss him off. I just get a lot of fall throughs.

What he has learned from the past/experienced? (10 of Swords) Well, this makes sense, devastation, turmoil. Back stabbing. Betrayal. A dark looming cloud. I feel something devastating happened in the past for him, not sure what that is though.

Thoughts on fans? (Knight of Wands) He thinks the fans are creative, passionate, desirable (yeah heard that), highly driven. They can be a bit overzealous. Forgot what that word meant, but yeah. He sees them on a mission. A very determined bunch. They can be all over the place as well. Also, very energetic as well.

What he likes? (10 of Cups) The close connections. All the love he gets. The tight community. A sense of home and belonging he feels. It is like he is happy to be part of a tight community. Okay, I am getting the word commodity again, which is the exchange of goods, so there is something with family/happy endings and the exchange of goods that I don't fully understand, Yunho had this too for his reading, but I don't understand the full scope of this meaning. I just channel messages. I can't really understand all the messages that come through. Hopefully when I do a part 2 to this, it comes up in a clearer way.

This is giving me they observe all he does, all the details to see if he slips up then uses that against him. I don't know what this is, or if any of this is right, but I always go with what I get. Sorry, this made me laugh, because of how wild that is. No wonder he gave me two cards here, it paints a picture.

What he likes? (10 of Swords) Once again, wtf! I think he likes the ability to overcome the pain and hurt of defeat, like rising up, pretty similar to Seonghwa, but I don't know, his energy doesn't feel as Masochist as Seonghwa's. He just likes to rise up from the painful times. He hates the struggle and depressive times, but when he is able to overcome, he feels great about himself. That is a sense of achievement for him. I also get he just likes to rest and lie down after a stressful day, weird side message day. Like, when he is able to lay down and rest after a hard day is one of the best feelings for him. Kind of weird and specific there.

What he doesn't like? (King of Swords) Well, this energy is back again as a not like. He hates cold and callus individuals, stubborn, know it all's. People who hide the light from others, steal the shine, way too logical, lack feelings. Someone who believes it is their way, or no way.

What has he learned/experienced in the past? (7 of Cups) This card again for this same question. He learned the value of imagination, now why that is important, ya'll tell me? There could be some escapism here, living in his imagination. I don't know, could be wrong here, tried to get another message, but all I got here. I don't like this message, so moving on.

Thoughts on fans? (The Hanged Man) Idk he is neutral, nonchalant when it comes to them at the moment, are they on a break right now? I am also getting his hands are tied, not much he can do, whatever that means. Maybe they help him see things in a different way or different perspective. Also, do they put him in awkward situations? What he likes? (5 of Pentacles) He likes the struggle, coming from the ground up. He likes to be the outcaste in some sense. Maybe he likes making something from scraps wth this is weird too

Is this his CEO? lol Someone who has people cater to them, someone who wants others at their beck and call. Just overall selfish person. Okay, this one made me laugh. It just seemed so random to me. I feel this is about a particular person.

What he has learned from the past? (3 of Pentacles) To work with others, to work as a team. To collaborate with others. I am also getting, do what he is told, and listen to higher ups, so yeah, this kind of makes sense though, not really surprising.

Thoughts on fans? (Knight of Swords) He sees them as quick on their feet, very communicative, and chatty, talkative. No nonsense people. They are at their defense very quickly. They will cut you if you cross them, okay lol Funny message there. They also have lots of ideas as well. Hmm, getting gossip as well. He mays see they do that as well. Okay, he didn't say much.

What he likes? (The Hermit) The ability to discover himself and time to himself, to learn about who he is. This is what you like most though? Okay. I am also getting, lighting the way for others. There is a sense of wisdom he gains from this.

What he doesn't like? (Death) Another one with this card, I just hear endings, having to say goodbye to things. Mourning things. I am not sure what this means though. There is like an ending that really impacted him in not a great way.

What has he experienced/learned from the past? (5 of Pentacles) Abandonment, hardships, lack of money, all makes sense. Lack of resources, not having much at their disposal.

Thoughts on fans? (Justice) They seek redemption and justice. They are fair, can be logical. I say he is pretty fair minded and objective when it comes to them. A need to balance the scales of justice. Is there some fairness fans are seeking? I am confused. He isn't saying much on this topic, not much out of him here.

Seungmin

1.What he likes? (Justice) Fair treatment, equality, getting justice for what he deserves. Equilibrium. People who are rational and logical. He likes things being fair, now is this a wish or what?, or that is what it is like for him, hopefully that is how it is.

What he doesn't like? (2 of Swords) Opposing thoughts, close-minded people, people who don't see things clearly. Stubborn people. People who don't make decisions, indecisive. Interesting messages, seems specific lol Wishy washy people, people who can't decide things or don't really have an opinion. Also, people who stay neutral and don't pick sides.

What he has learned from the past/experienced? (Page of Pentacles) To cultivate his skills. To do his due diligence. To be patient and take his time. Practice makes perfect mindset. To work with what he has got. To focus on the task at hand, one step at a time. To hone or harvest his skills.

Thoughts on fans? (6 of Swords) He may have some difficult thoughts about them, may have some mental baggage when it comes to them, or he sees them as having a hard time and hard for them to move forward, but it seems things are moving in a positive direction on both their parts. It is like they are heading in a positive direction. The stormy waters will clear soon.

What he likes? (Ace of Wands) He likes the excitement and thrill. He enjoys new creative endeavors or projects. He may enjoy the new comebacks they do, that may be the most exciting thing for him, or the creative process of things. There is like a thrill and excitement to being an idol he likes. New starts I am getting as well. being an idol just fires him up and energizes him.

What he does not like? (The Empress) There could be a strong Mother energy, maybe overbearing energy around him. A bit of coddling energy. People who plant things, maybe feed him lies. It is like this person believes they created him, so they have a lot of say. Moving on, don't like this energy or vibe of this.

What has he learned from the past/experienced? (Knight of Cups) To offer his love to others, to show a softer side. To not use force, be gentle. Be kind to others. To give to others and show more compassion. To follow his heart and intuition more. Maybe he has learned to do this more from past experiences. I mean did he struggle to show more emotions? And now he is trying to be more open?

Thoughts on fans? (The World) They complete him in a sense. He enjoys traveling to meet them. He feels successful because of them. They basically complete a cycle for them. He is also pretty happy to be known or have fans across the globe.

Okay, some interesting messages that came through, but overall, not as wild as the others, but did get some tea though, which is cool. I am not sure if things are a bit more chill with them, or they don't share as much as the other groups.

Just letting you know the energy is always changing, so their thoughts on fans are not set, just the energy at the moment. So, if the energy seems a bit cold, don't mean they don't love ya'll. I am only pulling one card here, so that doesn't say much about all their thoughts on fans. I felt I should have mentioned this in the other ones too, but saying it for these.

I honestly don't know how Suk is going to end Seoul Blues. According to the pairing expectations and bl formula rules, Daeyoung should end up with Jeongha, but at this point, that feels like the least logical ending.

So Daeyoung was going to explain why he cheated...

Except not. He's got nothing. Zip. Nada.

All he does is tell his emo backstory. No saying that he loves Jeongha most, that the kiss was a mistake. No trying to win Jeongha back. No groveling. It's like he doesn't want Jeongha back...

I cheered when Jeongha gave Daeyoung a piece of his mind. I think he hit the nail on the head. At that moment, if Dojin had asked Daeyoung to go back to him, Daeyoung would have taken him back in an instant. Side note: I think Seungjin's acting has improved! He was an awkward crier at best in Blue Boys, but his sad/crying face is much more natural in Seoul Blues.

At first I thought Dojin was going to ask Daeyoung to take him back, but instead he chose violence.

Arghhh. Wtf Dojin? Can't you speak nicely for once? He's always saying these harsh words, as if he doesn't care, and is just toying with Daeyoung, but his expressions say otherwise.

Dojin looks so sad and full of regret! There must be something else going on that he's not telling Daeyoung. He must think that he's protecting him or doing what's best for Daeyoung by making him hate him.

Because there's just no way that is the face of someone just playing with Daeyoung. Dojin looks absolutely devastated that he drove Daeyoung away. I want more of his backstory! I need to know why he ghosted Daeyoung, why he's back, and why he's purposely making Daeyoung hate him, but there's only one more episode and Suk will probably use it to bring Daeyoung and Jeongha back together. 😭

You can't blame me for wanting Dojin Daeyoung endgame. They're cute together! Riu is collecting men like pokemon. Has any other kbl actor kissed more men? 🤭 Give me the uncut NOW!

My fairytale ending would be for Dojin to chase after Daeyoung (wrist grab and all ��), and tell him that he still loves him. He ghosted because *insert good reason here*, but he did it all for Daeyoung.

Dojin is famous now, so he will fulfill his promise and take care of Daeyoung. 😭

I think Daeyoung ending up alone would also be a fitting ending. He blew up two friendships and cheated twice. I think he deserves a time out.

The ending that would make the least sense to me is Daeyoung getting back together with Jeongha. During their break up scene, it was clear that Daeyoung wasn't over Dojin and would have gotten back together with him given the chance. So if he goes back to Jeongha now, it would only be because Dojin rejected him, which is... bad to say the least. I don't want Jeongha to be some consolation prize.

Watch Suk pull something crazy like giving us poly or having Daeyoung get back with Minji. 😂

This series makes me miss Nami, someone who could actually communicate.

i just finished sweet tooth season 2 and wtf why did a decent amount of good characters die?? like overall both seasons 1 and 2 were phenomenal and i love both seasons but like why did everyone have to die. to an extent i can understand killing johnny kinda as a shock i guess and to show Abbott's absolute cruelty,greed and indifference but it still hurt and aimee i sadly understand why they killed her i guess also as shock since she just her kids back but i suppose also to show that the sick could get anyone idk but it just felt devastating since number 1 the hybrids just got her back and 2. haven't both the hybrids and aimee herself suffered enough!? anyhow the animal army had SO MUCH potential to be something more since the whole concept of them was so intriguing and the writers never used their potential but instead killed them all which just felt like a huge cop out to both their concept and their characters but i guess there was just too many characters and concepts to fit in this series. now onto tiger like why did they introduce her again to just kill her in the last episode like it makes zero sense to introduce a character and then just kill them especially when tiger and bear were on the road to reconnecting and being a duo again. and don't get me started on her death which makes no sense like at all?? (i'm making a separate post on tiger death so i'm not going to continue it here).

anyhow i'm going to give my opinions on characters just because i physically can't shut up about this show

Gus - Gus is my sweet baby boy who desperately needs a hug after what he's been through like it felt like he could never catch a break and he definitely deserves one i do admire his optimism though

Jepp - he was always born to be a father like as soon as i saw him with Gus i was like this guy just became a father without even realizing it. his backstory is devastating like this guy was put through so much just to find out that the thing he was looking for was already gone. he acts tough and he is but he really is a sweet guy with a heart of gold and i'm glad i got to see his progression from being cold to being a lil bit of a softie who protects the people he cares about. i did quite enjoy his bickering with bear though it was quite funny

Aimee and Birdie - I unfortunately don't have a lot to say about them but I do think that they were interesting characters !! Aimee with both protecting,caring and loving these hybrids like they were they were her own probably knowing that they probably needed that in a world that was so cruel to them. Birdie instead of keeping Gus with her and constantly having to run she made the very smart and probably very hard decision in letting Gus go with Richard in order to live a fairly normal life where he could actually be a child which i appreciated since she knew that with her Gus wouldn't get the life that he deserved which in my eyes was her version of protecting him

Johnny - Johnny is again my sweet baby boy who deserves every good thing in his life like i never expected to love him as much as i did but that face was so freaking lovable. he tried his best in his life and i love that for him was devastated when he died a very cruel death by his asshole of a brother

Abbott - He deserves nothing good in his life instead he deserves every bad thing to come into his life like dude come on you're a terrible person who tortured and killed literal children without mercy just so you could live what a few more years

Wendy and other hybrids - Again I don't have a lot to say about Wendy either but i do love her relationship with the other hybrids it was actually really sweet and i'm excited to see where her characters goes next especially her and bear's relationship as siblings! the hybrids were so cute tho i loved how each got their own very different personalities

Adi and Rani - I see a lot of people hating them and I can understand a lil bit of that but I don't think I can ever fully hate them. I think both of them especially Adi are very complex characters but do I hate that Adi literally killed children to find a cure that wasn't even there 100% like dude you think cutting these poor kids up is going to help and I hate him for that. I do think his slow descent into madness is quite interesting though like going from a doctor,to a doctor during the sick,to just a dude who has a sick wife,back into a doctor who now knows that the person before him was cutting up hybrids for a cure that his sick wife was taking,to now a doctor and a scientist who is now pressured to find a cure,to a scientist who has gone into madness trying to find a cure even though his wife wants to leave and actually live a life before she dies like i'm paraphrasing but it is so interesting. Rani is a cool character tho and i think at first living with the sick she wanted to live but i think over time especially after seeing what was being done to hybrids in order to supply her medicine for her life she just got tired of living and seeing these poor kids die just for her to live and she just wanted a life with her husband to just live before she was gone to just see and experience things with Adi before the sick took her life

The animal army - I'll just say this once THEY HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL and it was wasted by killing them off like they could have been this cool concept on how these kids who were around during the sick survived and became this army and it was thrown away

Tiger - Tiger was a amazing character who definitely gave me lesbian panic and had such a interesting relationship with bear with them being both best friends who knew each other for such a long time and also co leaders who had such differing point of views and were definitely in some sort of situationship. again death was devastating and was just getting good since her and bear were finally getting back to being friendly with each other. alright and now i'm going to talk about that whole sister line that i see some people talking about and when i watched that scene i didn't exactly interpret it as you already have a sister like relationship with me but kinda interpreted it as stop overthinking this sister thing you have me on your side being there to help and you already know how to be a great sister but i could be wrong

Jordan - I don't hate Jordan i am not a huge fan i found him lowkey kinda irritating and annoying but i do think he's a good example of how easily people can be manipulated into believing what the big guys (the last men) are spewing. also i think he definitely started having a thing for bear before finding out she was animal army

Becky/Bear - Becky is such a interesting character who again gave me lesbian panic but i digress like she was child who started an entire army just to find her sister like how freaking amazing is that !! also the fact that she is a child soldier who knows how to kill people and talks to adults about killing people is actually quite sad like she deserved to be a child and actually have a childhood but instead she had to grow up way too fast. and the fact she lost her family twice (her adopted family to the sick and her animal army family) is so sad like this girl cannot catch a break for the life of her. the trio of bear,Jepp,and Gus was actually really sweet tho like between Becky and Jepp's bickering and Gus trying to stop them fighting to jepp and bear being protective of Gus and them all fitting together like a weird ass puzzle is just perfect. Her relationship with Wendy i'm excited to see it continue and how it flourishes !! also i think after hearing that the animal army killed Jordan's dad she felt real guilty about that but she couldn't exactly tell him that she was apart of that so she was probably in her freaking out but you know she had to up a a apart that she was not in the animal army and she actually wanted to join the last men. also i think bear found Jordan more as friend since she lost all of hers before and she just tolerated his presence since he was her ticket to find answers but i can understand Jordan x bear shippers if they're people out there who do i just personally don't ship them but i will happily respect people who do! however i am a tiger x bear shipper cause like they were giving each major heart eyes and just seemed to be in love with each other but that's just my opinion

The trip to the alchemist/chronicler was cool. I’m really caught up on what’s going on with this bear that supposedly destroyed Yoitsu. If the town actually is gone, I can’t imagine how devastated Holo will be since this has been her big wish for the last however many years ..

I guess in a way that would solidify her staying with Lawrence and letting go of the past, but still.. we’ve got much more specific locations in mind so hopefully we’ll make our way there soon.

What’s up with the ladies in this series teasing their partners lol, Lawrence old buddy’s wife threatening to make Amati a cake was funny. Had a very realistic mature flair to it, minor scene but just really liked it!

Do you know how big is Teyvat compared to our world? I checked it and Teyvat is as big as Paraguay (In latinamerica), so to explain this to them you show them a map and oh boy the difference of our worlds size compared to theirs could be overwhelming. Tighnari having a existential crisis about how little not only Teyvat but the Avidya forest is compared to the Amazon rainforest (1.4 billion acres of land and only a little percentage has been explored). The fact that we know more about the space than of our oun oceans.

Watching a documentary film about our world and universe in general, Teyvat is around 2000 to 10 000 years old (I couldn't find the exact answer) the documentary shows Earth is around 4.54 billion years old (like damn wtf). The overwhelming amount of events that had occurred all over the world like the black death pandemic that killed between 5 to 40% of the world's population (25 million to 200 million people (Teyvat's population is around 10 million to 150 million depending between models)), the bombas that devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the atrocities committed during the World war II etc etc I could go for days with this.

Not, 'oh my poor blorbo/baby boy' real, but like, 'this could be an actual real person who had this shit happen to them' and it's actually so horribly sad and depressing and good thing I don't have work tomorrow because it's going to take me at least a day to recover from this.

I am genuinely devastated. It hurts so much because I know there are Real People out there me who have to deal with repressed childhood trauma and this just hit so hard for me.

Rain Code Chapter 0, and why its Twist F*cking Sucks.

This is going to be the start of a series I call "My Gripes with Master Detective Archives: Rain Code". Unfortunately, they are quite numerous, but I figure it's better for me to split them up rather then write one massive post complaining about it.

Because yeah, I did the writer's equivalent of a rage quit on this game, and it breaks my heart. Not only because the writing doesn't work, but because IT HAD THE POTENTIAL TO.

And what better place to start this then the Massacre on the Amaterasu Express, and why shock value is not good writing.

Spoilers for Chapter 0 of Rain Code, and also for Danganronpa 1, 2, V3, and UDG.

Right off the bat, we're introduced to five other characters besides our infamous protagonist, Yuma Kokohead. Aphex Logan, Melami Goldmine, Pucci Lavmin, Zilch Alexander, and Zange Eraser. They're introduced, provide a bit of exposition to Yuma and the player, and their dynamics seem pretty solid so far. Each of them has room to develop, there's hints that Pucci might be a love interest of sorts to Yuma, and some of even show off cool powers that definitely might come in handy in later cases. But then what happens?

They're all f*cking killed. They last twenty minutes before every single one of them, including the culprit, all die off-screen.

SO YEAH. IF YOU'RE ANYTHING AT ALL LIKE ME, YOU'RE MAD. Not upset, not devastated seeing characters you like die.

F*CKING. MAD.

What Kodaka seems to have forgotten when writing Chapter 0, is that there's a reason the deaths in the Danganronpa series work. THEY EXPLICITLY PUT THE IDEA OF MURDER INTO YOUR HEAD. From the very moment Monokuma is introduced in DR1, he says directly, without any sugarcoating, that the only way the characters can get out of permanent imprisonment is to kill someone and get away with it.

The writers don't say who will die (ignoring the whole 11037 thing), because they don't NEED TO. They know the player is smart enough to use context clues and figure out, "Hey, Sayaka and Makoto have been getting awfully chummy, chances are she's probably kicking the bucket." It makes sense, there's payoff, and the moments leading up to that are meant to build connection between the player and the characters.

WHAT PAYOFF IS THERE IN RAIN CODE CHAPTER 0'S TWIST?!

There is none, because Kodaka forgot to give us, the player, any semblance of a hint aside from the chapter's title that maaaaaybe these characters aren't gonna live much longer so try to avoid getting attached.

And no, saying "it's made by the same people who made Danganronpa so it's on you for not expecting that" does not suffice here. Even if Rain Code were established to be part of the same universe or whatnot (it's not), why didn't they give us a bit more warning?

WHAT IS THE POINT OF INTRODUCING THESE CHARACTERS IN THE FIRST PLACE IF THEY'RE ALL GONNA DIE WITHIN TWENTY MINUTES OF MEETING THEM?

The short answer is: shock value.

Take a look at Kodaka's writing, and you'll find that he adores shock value. Between the protagonist swap in V3, the divisive "it's a lie!!" ending, and a handful of deaths throughout the series (Taka, Hiyoko, Yuta Asahina), and it becomes entirely clear that payoff isn't his top priority. It's pulling the rug from under our feet, watching us land on the floor, and when we say, "WTF Kodaka?!", his response is probably, "IDK what to tell you fam, you really should've seen that coming."

No, my dude. Of course I didn't see this twist coming. Because you did a terrible job with your foreshadowing. You introduced five characters whose only purpose is to improve your marketing by showcasing a bigger cast on the game's cover art, vaguely hinted at potential development in later chapters, and then did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH THEM.

As a writer, I despise shock value. Not hinting at a twist properly beforehand almost never works, and when it does, it falls in line with what we know about the story and the stakes. But by the time the stakes are set up in Rain Code, Aphex and the others are already gone, so their deaths don't really matter.

If Aphex, Melami, Pucci, Zilch and Zange didn't exist, THIS STORY WOULD'VE PANNED OUT THE EXACT SAME WAY. Nobody mentions these characters again anyway, SO WHY DO THEY EVEN EXIST?

Oh, and I've barely discussed the culprit himself, "Zilch-Alexander-but not-really-it's-just-some-unnamed-hitman-who-looks-and-sounds-exactly-like-him."

You mean to tell me that the real Zilch just happened to look EXACTLY LIKE THIS RANDOM HITMAN? A hitman who, much later in the game, is revealed to be old pals with Yomi Hellsmile, the symbolic leader of Amaterasu?

You're telling me this isn't actually a hitman, he's an insider from Amaterasu who managed to not only get out of Kanai Ward, but only left to kill four detectives, use some intricately designed train to pull off their murders, and then frame the trainee who just happened to have amnesia so his alibi is already pretty shaky?

You're telling me he got past all of the security regulations that Kanai Ward had in place preventing people from getting in or out, and instead of taking this opportunity to spread Amaterasu's influence, HE WENT STRAIGHT BACK THERE AND EXPECTED TO BE GREETED WITH OPEN ARMS?!

Are you starting to get why I have issues with this chapter?

It would've been so much simpler to say "Zilch was bribed by Amaterasu to betray the WDO". Melami or Aphex could even mention something along the lines of, "Not all detectives care about the truth. Some only care about lining their own pockets and making themselves look better in the eyes of the WDO." Which would make it easier for us to understand that detectives don't always have everyone's best interests in mind.

And if it's absolutely necessary for the sake of the plot, to fuel Yuma's desire to solve injustices and learn how to use the Mystery Labyrinth to uncover the truth, why can't it just be ONE DEATH INSTEAD OF FOUR?

I discussed this with a friend of mine on Discord, but rewriting this chapter so that only Zange dies would be incredibly easy. Zange realizes their drinks are drugged, and when everyone else falls asleep, he confronts Zilch. Of course it ends badly, and by the time the others realize he's dead, Zilch's status as the traitor becomes even more apparent. One Mystery Labyrinth later, and Swank kills Zilch for blowing cover, saying something like, "You said this would go off without a hitch." It would make Amaterasu seem more like a threat, since they're willing to go to such extreme lengths to compromise the WDO's involvement in Kanai Ward. Aphex, Melami and Pucci would all join the rest of the detective gang along with Yuma, and the story would proceed as normal.

Do you see how easy that was? I'm not trying to say this would've been better than how it actually played out, but I certainly would've enjoyed the game a bit more, at least.

Anyways, I digress. Rants are exhausting, but I definitely feel better getting all of this off my chest. Of course, you're free to agree or disagree, but I'd really prefer not to be called an egomaniac just because I disliked Kodaka's galaxy brain storytelling on this one.

Someone pointing out that your shitty TV show is a shitty TV show is honestly so annoying yes I know those tears look really fake to you so does the excessive blood and some of the deaths and just about everything else here because it's all fake and it's all just some crappy TV show ya look past it and you get upset because the character is crying period and that speaks volumes for him so yes I'm crying because I'm emotionally invested in this sad little man and his motivations I am past the point of no return and at this point nothing in this series makes any sense anymore we've gone completely bonkers I'm talking off the rails bingo-bongo nuts you want your dose of reality? To bad! And that's why we love it it's crappy television that went on for entirely to long no one claimed it was good I love it because it's shitty it's part of the charm to be able to sit back in the middle of a scene your watching and go "dude wtf am I watching heh?" One moment and be begging a character to get up devastated that they're dead because it's one of the characters you don't have spoilers for yet and you don't actually know if their gonna die or if it's a fake out or something in between, in the wise words of a mad man "none of this makes any sense that's the beauty of it"

I've been re-watching a bunch of my sci-fi movies (including some that I only have on VHS tape; they still play, but a few need to get shaken-up a little. gotta show 'em who's boss). I don't currently have the brain-power to go into it in depth, but dang... I can't believe it took me this long to see how much over-lap Starship Troopers and Ender's Game have. Like, a VERY similar premise (fighting bug aliens, young people basically being born just to go into the military, the world going ham with the propaganda, violence-murder-what doth life?), but they go in ENTIRELY different directions with the plot and characters.

Starship Troopers is like... what if the satire was so hardcore, it was just literal, and everybody just agrees that the brainwashing propaganda was good, actually. Ender's Game is much more emotionally devastating, everything is stuck in a vicious cycle, even when the "truth" is known, it is treated like something evil except by the one kid who can't help but care too much, and the bitter-sweet drop of hope at the end has a high cost.

Also, WTF, Starship Troopers came out in 1997 and it got pop-up targeted ads/algorithm stuff SO RIGHT. This and the book Feed by MT Anderson are frighteningly correct in what was just "sci-fi story about scary technology idea" at the time. (I've read the original books as well, and... most? of the series' they are part of, plus one time there was a marathon of the Starship sequels on TV and I just let it all be in the background while I did homework. it has been a WHILE though, so most of that is just a blur)

OMG I COMPLETELY AGREE.

My main problem with the show are all root for the same problem, and that is how rush the show is (and it make me scared for the second season).

Mostly in a 1 season of 9 chapter, it just wanted to but SOOOOO MUCH and it didn't stop to set the bases.

The show is scared to be cancel, and you can see that in how rush it was. We don't have a base, a solid base, to work on. The extermination is explain vía exposure, it is not shown at all is just said, THE MAIN CAST DOESN'T LOOK EVEN AFFECTED BY IT WTF (wich i see as an issue with a ton of new series and it bothers me so much).

The panic it's supposed to inflict in sinners is not shown. How the extermination affects sinners it is not shown.

What make sinners a sinner it is not shown (and look it is an interesting route if they don't know why they are sinner, or what make them sinners in the first place, or they are just assuming why they are sinners without actual proof. But for make that work, the characters need fucking time).

The characters are not given enough time. The arc of characters are very fucking shallow (I am looking at you Vaggie, I love her buuuuut for the arc that it was given she didn't deserve her wigs. The character arc was very shallow, and for that reason Out for love it is too me very shallow. I undertand explaning a secuandary charcater motivation by a song, BUT FOR A MAIN CHARCATER LIKE VAGGIE. She needed more time, she needed a shift, but the shift is very shallow and now she has wings??? Alsooo i would like something about how important are wings?? Idk a little but of word building, perhaps).

We didn't see what the hotel is actually doing. Or what Charlie's pkan for the hotel is. We see Charlie is innocent and js struggling (wich is interesting but i woukd like to see it more) but not what she is working on, or if she has an actual plan to with help the sinner.

The hotel could be interesting if from a redemption route (that it's how it started) shifted to a rehabilitation to help with sinners (who want to change) with their problems problems. And I think that would be interesting because it requires a change of perspective, mostly from Charlie's.

The system in hell is not explained, or show at all.

There are so many bases that are not work on, so we have a big ass plot with no solid bases to stand on. That would keep biting the show asses in the next seasons.

The show needs time, the 1 season should have been more centered in the hotel itself and the characters, and showing little by little how hell works.

I maintain my opinion that the revelation that the next extermination is in 6 month should have been in the end of season one, reveling Adam there. So they could have work in how devastating extermination actually is, and how the hazbin hotel plan actually is. And what Charlie plan is.

But anyways I really liked the show buuut I am scared for how rush and the lack of bases that it has (because it is very rush).

You shouden't depend in wikias and the fandom to make people interested in the characters.

And it make me sad for the potential it has (it makes me feel like I was watching the first season of mlb)

a comprehensive list of everything wrong with hazbin hotel.

quick note before i lose myself in madness, my standards for helluvaboss are non existent because its a free show on youtube. also i kinda like helluvaboss and i will indulge in any bias i damn well please.

oh and spoilers. i guess.

the greater narrative of the entire season is "White lady civilize inner city hoodlum". ex: The blind side. rich girl, affluent family yadda yadda.

the story is set up to be like amphibia, owl house, svtfoe, steven universe, that being starting as something episodic then transforming into story driven narrative. why? because we know the benefits and drawbacks, episodic starts allows us to wander the world, it allows us to understand the dynamics, we are not forced to reckon with anything because there is no deadline. characters are allowed to bloom and shine and the audience can actually get attached.

the source material is Vary Clearly formed from remnants of something out of a middle school edgelord narrative. the usage of transformation, the big spooky grins, the "and then i smile as my eyes glow and-"-isms which in most cases i don't mind because in some instances but in a vary Particular case its astoundingly annoying and that annoyance is like a mold, shit spreads quick.

the color Red. as a lover of homestuck cherubs and karkat and aradia, as someone who fucking loves the color red, it is so painful to say but holy shit tone it the fuck down, i know its hell but their are so many other colors that you can use, its everywhere, the streets, the air, the windows, the screens, the characters, i know the pride ring is represented with red but change up the palates every so often for backgrounds

the rush, this ties into the second point made but i think the story itself is rushed. we know everything way to early. i know way to much and it makes it hard to care about anything because im still trying to digest the last chunk of info. "oh ok, so they clear out hell once a year. oh hell has a heaven embassy? ok. oh that adam the angel, i though he wou- oh its every 6 months now. wait the exterminators die a lot? then why is everyone sca- people in hell already have weapons that can kill angels? w- oh we are in heaven now, ok ma- no one in heaven except for the elites know the exterminations occur? how do-" and its that, just this incessant rush to explain everything to you. notably that's just the god damn spark notes, we need to know everything about the characters now, every single bit of their story, their insecurities, what charlie needs to fix, how she can fix them, the major bad guys, everything. you are never allowed to dwell on a character because we need to rush towards something else. it almost feels like this should have been like... season three, it would have been a fantastic season three if you dropped the introductions honestly.

the concept of redemption. for a story of redemption to work you need to look at three things. What is there crime, Do they want to change, What is preventing them from changeing? there is only one single character that has a notable path of redemption, angel dust, but if you look through their story it feels off. What Exactly is he guilty of? he has sex, does drugs and drinks. his apparent nymphomania is tied to his sad backstory as someone forced into the sex industry so how is that their fault? then if you think about it you start to spiral and notice "hey why are most of these people in hell?" like sure some of them may deserve punishment but then you see the fucking dichotomy and its like "I was a inventor in england and died of the fucking plague, i may have made evil little contraption hoohoohoo" vs "I was a cannibal, a full on cannibal, i fucking killed people and ate them and then someone shot me". ONE OF THESE THINGS ARE A LITTLE MORE FUCKING EXTREME. i'm going to go fucking nuts, the thing they went to heaven with when presenting a case to angels on the idea that redemption and becoming a better person is actually real was angel dust not drinking at a party and not having sex with consenting adults and i want to go fucking insane. WHAT IS THE CRIME, WHO IS THROWING THE BOOK, WHAT DOES THE BOOK INTEL, ARE WE ON GOOD PLACE RULES?! half the cast dont Need redemption they need fucking help, and the other half of the cast do need redemption but they do not seek it making the point moot. sir pentious acts like he has the brain of a hyper intelligent toddler tossing about toys, its almost like he did his one bad thing of spying and then got caught, sank his little diddy about forgiveness and second chances and become a null point through out the rest of the series, sure their was Some weight to him sacrificing himself, he was a decently funny character and he had good moments but him popping up in heaven felt like a fore gone conclusion, he didn't deserve to be in hell so why do i care that he is suddenly in heaven? because its working on the concept the good place already made. no one actually deserves eternal punishment they just need help processing what makes them a dick, but instead of looking at all the parts of the afterlife that make it bad, inefficient and then creating and trying ideas to see if it work instead over a few seasons, we crash dick first into all the major plot points in regards to that and say "tada, we fixed it.".

having a sub-plot about sexual assault and its victims then having multiple sexual assault related gag ruins your point.

don't make a bunch of stereotypically jewish characters into cannibals, that was a big thing, really shouldn't have to say it.

if you are going to make a character black, make them black, you can say alastor was black but sweet seren-fucking-dippity that's not a black man.

pot meet kettle but yeah the cursing could be a little less liberal. maybe just blue hair or the pronouns, not both.

there is a very distinctive art deco/jazz aesthetic which normally i love but i feel as though it is not used to its full extent and in some cases really hurts the character design in and of itself.

this is a vary obvious bit but the story is a million times more interested in gay men then it is of lesbians, which culminates in this insane thing where the writers clearly have more talent or perhaps it would be more abt to say practice writing male gay pining then they are with lesbian pining. which i personally think is hilarious because i did not know you could min max fujoshi-ism that hard.

this next section is more to do with each character on a fundamental level, for the sake of brevity whatever there is left, i'm just doing ones with speaking roles.

13. Charlie:

as originally stated charlie fits rather comfortably into every white saviour narrative, though that seems to be part of her joke. though i'm not entirely sure how much of a joke it can be when its rewarded and expected to advance the plot.

her character design says nothing, it has the motif of old puppets or dolls, she wears something vaguely similar to service suits, her demonic form is just some extra horns.not to say every character needs to have their life on a clothes rack but some more snake and goat imagery would be nice

its not the chol design of charlie with snake hair, not an actual problem but its a problem to me, damn you @cholvoq for ruining my ability to look at any of the characters without wishing i was seeing your designs instead.

character wise aside from the white savoir bit, i'm having a bit of trouble understanding what the arc of the character is. she is shown to be naive, someone who doesn't understand how the world works but everytime she says something its something astoundingly clear like "people can actually get better". and its treated like someone demanded faygo in every water fountain. is the joke that the world around her to cynical or is so to naive? please pick one or the other.

now if you know me, you know i fucking hate overpowered characters with a blinding passion, one that would set alit the god damn abyss but in this one special instance, i feel like its warranted, she's the direct descendant of fucking God, she can swing her weight around a little, i mean god damn. she in so many instances looks like shes cowering so often, why would the daughter of lucifer get backed down by some rando pimp? why wasn't she the one to fight adam? sure you can say she is young but how young? her parents were there since pre-abrahamic times, most of the characters showed up in hell in the 1900s, some of them showed up in the 1600s, how old is charlie??? how long does it take for her to learn how to be strong? The story does not suffer if charlie is strong and knows she is strong. it can easily be a case of "i don't believe in violence to a weird degree". fit it into her apparent naivety about the world to believe that violence is never the answer even when dealing with a being that is unilaterally horrible and abusive and monstrous.

she ga- no im kidding, i do think her romance was waysided a bit, it would have been fine to have more scenes of them togather and in love you know?

14. Vaggie

why did you name the lesbian vaggie...? Don't do that maybe?

I like how her design is almost moth like but again i feel as though you could have amped that up.

she feels as though someone tried to combine undyne and pearl from steven universe, same story beats and design elements. it makes it hard to really distinguish her as a character.

i honestly dont have much to say about her. she is fine.

where to start.

"alastor is mixed race" mixed with fucking what? concrete? there is not a single black feature on that creature, now im not saying you have to make him a png of louie armstrong but it wouldn't hurt to add a curl to the hair maybe? make it a tiny bit more wavy? Something? a crumb i beg of thee?

his symbolism is all over the god damn place, native american monsters (you know the one), voodoo, radio, puppets, stitches, circuses??? and Tentacles i guess. two of those are from closed religions so if you dumped those you would actually get a more concise character focused on the concept of vox populi as a means of societal control and influence as we see in his first song. but again that gets drowned out repeatedly by all the other random toy box bits shoved into him.

he serves no purpose in the story. he does spooky stuff, pretends to do things and then goes back to sitting around looking spooky. i understand that his motif is supposed to be aloof mastermind but maybe have him do more mastermindy things? if you remove most of alastors scenes, bar the songs, it doesn't change all to much. husk and nifity can still be at the hotel, they could be looking for outs in their contracts the same as angel dust. hell it even helps with the one scene where he dose some spooky shit, asking charlie for a favor in exchange for his help in the fight with the angels instead of asking him about angel weapons which should have remained a strictly vaggie scene.

his presence in a way delegitimize the story, as I noted in in the section regarding redemption, the three parts are "what is the crime, do they want to change, what is stopping them?" and alastor kinda just spits in the face of that. he is a serial killer cannibal that has no qualms about how evil he is and apparently must continue being evil due to being under the control under someone legitimately called the Root Of All Evil. show him take a slight interest in the idea that maybe shit for him could be better, make him Want Change at the bare fucking minimum or dont have him at the hotel.

his stupid little fucking horns, big shot the troll liker wants characters to have big fucking horns, make them noticeable or dont have them.

he looks more like a dog boy, which could have been an interesting thing with the collar motif but fuck me i guess.

personal pet peeve but i fucking hate characters that have a million plus powers, stick to a set number, be creative.

im getting more petty as i go on so last point: he could have been in less episodes, he didn't need to be in dad beat dad, that should have been just a lucifer and charlie episode. inverse the red and black and i think he would be fucking great color wise, his body type is the same as ten different characters, he isnt radio enough, aside from the voice and and staff if you told me he was the fucking Cat Demon i would have been just as convinced.

16. Angel Dust

what the fuck, gay spider? its hard to actully articulate all the thoughts i have on angel dust, not in the sense that he is a deeply thought provoking character but in the fact that there is not much meat on the bones.

all around i think angel dust is kinda middling. he has a decent enough romance with husk, he has a decent enough story line that revolves around battling addiction and removing yourself from an abuser (which the story tries to brand as "Redemption???")

I dont like that most of his jokes would qualify as sexual harassment, i don't mind him being sexual as a character but continuing on when clearly someone doesn't like the jokes hurts the character.

not a critique but he is pink, which honestly ill fucking take at point, as long as its not more fucking red.

i think his design is an improvement over some of the old vivzie designs but it feels like it could have done with going a few more rounds of design changes.

same thing with alastor, charlie and vaggie, there is not enough of the animal that they are supposed to be. You could have told me angel dust was a fucking bee or something and i would have had to believe you. nothing about angel dust initially says spider, hell he dosent even have enough limps to be a fucking spider.

has a deeply intresting story of someone who died as a nobody, became the fat cat of hell and then was forced back to the bottom by their own vices, not used at fucking all.

it is interesting that angel dust is only under his magical control when in the studio, it shows that angel dust has to make a conscious choice to return, which in turn can be made to show how abusers can draw back their victims. I do not think it was done well in this circumstance as it shows him to be cartoonishly evil, constantly flying back and fourth between sweet and utter psycho, there is no actual reason for angel dust to ever actually go back to the studio, he just does so every so often.

legit who cares? the only thing about him that is in any way substantial is all the dope ass fan art we get.

propaganda machine angle that is not explored at all, just hinted at. no actual barring on the story whatsoever.
