there is something so heartbreaking about liking a small artist who one day up and deletes their old content. i know this is common because they think its not popular enough or it doesnt represent them as an artist anymore but there are at least 3 albums i listened to constantly with warmth in my heart that i will never be able to hear again. theyve been completely scrubbed from the internet legally and theres no fans who had the foresight to pirate it. i wonder if the other 5 listeners ache as much as i do about it. i wonder if the musicians think the 5 of us would be this hurt about it. i wonder if we will be stuck in this space of wanting to tell them it mattered but fearing the regret they might experience if they knew until we forget the lyrics and melody entirely.
