TW: BLOOD, DECAPITATION, GORE
“Brothers and sisters. Before you stands a traitor. A child, so ungrateful, so tainted, that she chose to take the life of her very own father. Xyon Harper, our ever kind and generous Governor, may he rest in peace knowing that his death has been avenged.” “Gwyddien Harper, you are sentenced to death by beheading for treason against the Governor and the city of Wintervale.”
The Execution of Gwyddien Venefica

the jester
artist unknown found alongside the gatherer portrait, which doesn't make sense considering that both of their temple locations are at least a couple of miles away from each other; we suspect that these pieces have been smuggled somehow into Wintervale Benefactor, I hope you are well the day you receive this letter. I appreciate the fact that I am the first being that came to mind after finding these delightful pieces of history. I would go on and on about my gratitude, but I am sure you are not here for that. I appreciate it nonetheless. On to the matter at hand, we have identified two of the portraits so far; The Gatherer and The Jester. The quality and the style of the works suggest that these were made before the Great Culling. The condition of the paints used are left to be desired but we have managed to salvage any parts of the paintings we can. However, legend always has it that there are three of them who are... inseparable, but we have yet to identify which portrait belongs to The Observer. As for the journals, we did need to enlist a help from a dear friend to make the translation faster — which it did, but the oddest thing is that one of the journals we have finished translating tells a story about the Greater Gods and The Heavenly War. Considering that these works are made centuries after the Divine Terror, it's a bit... out of place. My scholars and I are working hard to preserve and translate the materials you have given us. The Rogonia Institute is in your debt. I eagerly await your response and I will be sending another letter soon. Sincerely, Vivian Aufinch
