IT RAINED!!!

And not just enough to rearrange the dust on everything. It's washed all of that off (my allergies amen) and also filled at least one of my rain barrels (working on the rest).

It actually hit the ground, like where the plants are not just the pavement.

Maybe everything won't die after all!*

*for another month or two until the temperature drops

#yay #i completely ran out of stored water last week despite severely rationing it #had mostly given up on watering anything but my cucumbers and my container peppers #this might perk up the basil and peppermint enough to get a final harvest from them #and keep the wildlife from digging up anything that's had any moisture applied at all #hey i'll be able to wash my windows now that i know a stray breeze won't completely undo my efforts thanks to the dust/pollen #which is not so much a fun result but one that had been picking away at me
